I went to see to purchase a trendy pair of timeless frames. When I walked in I was approached by a nice young lady named Rose, she made my experience at S E E unforgettable. Rose styled me in a pair of frames I love and with her excellent taste and professional approach I will only get frames at S E E from here on out. I recently bought a pair of shades and continue to get stopped with compliments regularly. Rose was a delight and I appreciate everything she's done for me. I definitely recommend getting your next pair of frames at see if you want to be unique and stand out of the crowd.

Purchased my glasses for 700+. Good looking frames. However, between 4 - 6 months outside warranty, the lens coating began degrading around the lens edges and now it's to the point where I can't see out of my right eye. Called SEE about it and all they could offer is new lenses. I've been wearing glasses for over 3 decades. I'm super, super careful about my glasses. They're either on my face or in a protective case. I like my frames but I'm very disappointed with the poor quality of the lenses. I understand over time, wear / tear coating can degrade but NEVER this quickly nor to this degree; I've never experienced issues like this in over 30+ years of wearing glasses.

First of all, the entire staff makes you feel like family. As a pilot, I have to get regular flight physicals. The largest part of this being multi-range vision tests. At my previous physical, I struggled, and without a very patient doctor, I would have failed the eye test. I just had my latest physical, in the eye test was a breeze, taking less than two minutes to complete. Thank you SEE eyewear and especially Dr. Victoria Balyard.

Had a good experience on my visit but it has been a horrible experience since. I was told my trial pair of contacts would be there within 4 days. I never received a call from anyone notifying me that there would be a delay. I called and was told a shipment would be in the next day but I don't think she looked up my name in their system. Two days later I hadn't heard anything. I call back and was informed it will be 3-4 weeks for my trial pair of contacts to arrive because astigmatism contacts take weeks to make?! I honestly think they just forgot to order them and this was their best excuse. I would highly suggest going somewhere else and save yourself some time.

Easy to schedule an appointment, great Dr. There is some friendly staff but others who are very consistently rude and condescending. Good review because of the Dr only, which is the most important part anyway. Got a call today from them that was rude and unhelpful from the moment I answered the phone (first thing he said was "who is this" aggressively, when I didn't even know who was calling), and he hung up on me as I was talking at the end.

I love the glasses I got at SEE! I got sick of WP glasses. SEE has an amazing selection of eclectic frames in a variety of materials and shapes. The staff is awesome and fun and they helped me pick a really fresh pair of specs. Note that they don’t operate at WP speed, and the fine print is no refunds. Overall, I highly recommend.

I had a great experience here. They went beyond my expectations and searched for frames that were discontinued. They didn’t have to do that. They were so sweet and caring about my needs and the frames were found in a a store in the west coast. I honestly gave up hope on finding them but they didn’t stop!!! They updated me in a prompt and professional manner. Truly amazing. I recommend this store to anyone who wants great service and amazing frames that are unique and special.

I had an exam and purchased two pair of glasses from SEE on State Street; the experience was great. From the sales floor to the examination room, the staff was pleasant and very knowledgeable. I would've given five stars if it were not for the horrible customer service at their 'headquarters'. I called the 866-number multiple times and left voicemails and still haven't heard back (five days later). I patched through to another 'department' and was told that customer service is just one guy. So, if you have questions just save yourself the headache and go into the local store.

I had to go 3 times for a right prescription. The third time the doctor was utterly rude. Additionally she issued an order for contacts with astigmatism that was significantly more expensive than if she hadn't. As time has gone by I have ordered lenses without the need for that special angle she argued and has been much more affordable. Having the opportunity to discuss that with me would have been better. As I know she disliked me I honestly feel that she issued that so I'd pay more, all reasons why I think she was unethical.

Fantastic eyewear aside, the people working at the Charleston SEE store are amazing. I had a great experience when I came here for my first pair of glasses & eye exam but was especially blown away when I lost that first pair and needed to replace them. The frames I wanted had since gone out of production but over the course of a few days Lenore tracked down two frames in that style that were still available and found exactly the ones I wanted. To top it all off she then offered them to me at a discount! I couldn't be more impressed.

I love this shop and optometrist. They have their own Italian brand, so you won't see their frames in all the other shops - more unique and special. Not part of the vast monopoly that is most of eye-wear. I got a great pair of glasses with progressive lenses last year and just came back today to get a prescription pair of sunglasses. Don't let prices scare you if you have decent vision insurance. You're paying for individuality, style, great service, and quality. Turns out to be a value to me. These won't be your cheap, lose-em pair - you'll take good care of these and they'll last a good long time. Dr. Bolyard is wonderful and even squeezed in an impromptu exam for me as I was looking for sunglasses frames. All the staff are super, too. And they're not afraid to say which frames look good on you and which not so much. Thanks for that advice!

Went in to see if they could repair my frame, and although they weren't able to, the gentleman kindly offered a solution and even taped them himself after cleaning my lenses, both of which he was not expected to do. Overall it was a very clean and welcoming environment, will be going back

Sean and Matt were extremely helpful and nice throughout my glassware choosing ceremony that took almost an hour lol. Sean was exceptionally amazing and i like how they kept their distance so I could choose my pair of glasses without feeling that i’m interpreting their perfectly organized shelves. Afterwards, Sean sat with me and we talked through the trouble of calling my previous eye examiner to pull out my eye prescription. I loved how nice he was and Matt was so sweet as well. Dr. Scranton and his staff at See eyewear are so wonderful to work with. Dr. Scranton is the best eye Dr. I've ever seen and the only one who has ever been able to get my prescription right every single time. He is so gracious and pleasant and super knowledgable and skilled. It's always such a pleasure to see him and I especially like this new space. See Eyewear is very stylish, fun, reasonably priced, as well as efficient. While you get the perfect amount of time you need with the doctor, your check in and check out process by the expert staff members is expedient and thorough. I was extremely unimpressed with the customer service at SEE. As paying customers, we were treated with disrespect and a male employee was very rude. As we were looking at the glasses, he came up to us multiple times (while helping another customer) for no other reason except to harass us, telling us if we scratch anything we have to pay for it even though we were simply looking around. On a brighter note, there was a really awesome employee who helped us buy a pair of glasses. If not for her, we would have left immediately. This male employee should be fired.

Well selected frames are beautifully displayed with good lighting and superb assistance by the staff. Brandii Tyndle. the store manager, has a welcoming smile and is remarkably skilled in matching facial structure. personal style and purpose with available frames. She is professional, aesthetically and artistically talented. Although the shop appears to be very upscale, the prices are quite affordable. As a result of this very positive experience, I have since returned for a three more pairs of glasses, including prescription sunglasses. I am delight to have discovered See Eyewear!

For over $900, I did get a pair of cute frames. It took four months to get lenses that I could actually see with. I gave up on contact lenses and went elsewhere for those. See must have been off its game. Orders weren’t placed or ready on time, and since I need vision correction to drive, work, read, etc., it was extremely worrisome.

I love the glasses at See, and the people who help customers are fabulous. But the current doctor is the worst I've ever encountered. I went for an exam because See offered a special. He did a cursory exam (maybe 4 slides) and wrote a much weaker prescription than my previous contacts. He gave me a trial pair and I simply could not see, either distance or close-up (even with readers). I called him and he told me to wear just one lens. That obviously was not a solution so I returned. He did not give me another exam, nor was I offered one. He added a bifocal to the prescription and gave me another trial pair. That one too was not sufficient (I was just wearing glasses through all of this). I returned again and asked for the prescription of my previous contacts. I received a trial pair and again, no exam. That pair was close enough (perfect in one eye, less than perfect in the other), and when I called to ask for that prescription, the woman who answered said it should be perfect in both eyes and told me to come in. When the doctor saw me, he refused to even discuss it. He basically berated me for not accepting his first (wrong) prescription and told me I am "free to get a second opinion". No, I paid him and he should have made it right.

I’ve been here multiple times and the service is great. The employees are friendly and eager to help you find the best pair of frames. They’ll be honest and tell you if a pair works or doesn’t work - which might sound harsh. If you’re willing to take the well-intentioned “nope” or “uh ugh” then you’ll find a pair that’s right for you. Moreover, I’ve come in for multiple fixes - smashed frames, warped sides, etc. At every encounter they’ve quickly healed my damaged frames (free of charge). Yes, the frames are expensive. I usually stick with the Core section (often seem to be of better build and they’re cheaper). However, the frames are tough. You’ll realize it if you keep them around for several years like I have.

I only purchase eyewear from SEE. Brandii Tyndle is my to go to person. I recently purchase a pair of Aviator Sunglasses and Brandii assisted me with tint, progressive lenses and fitting. As soon as they realize that you might not be buying anything, they treat you like crap. I've gone in the store a few times, and every single time there is one extremely rude employee who will follow me around the store as if you are going to steal something, or break something. He reluctantly would ask me what I was looking for, and when I tell him my specific needs, he just shrugs and says "the one's you are wearing are fine, I guess." Other employees have been polite enough, but I am tired of being watched closely and not being treated like a valued customer.

Awful awful experience. They couldn't get the prescription right and I end up spending more than 1300 dollars with two non functional glasses and they refused to fix them. Their staff is very unreliable. They forgot to offer me to keep the old lenses, which could have saved me 500 dollars. It has been like 4 months never end nightmare . If you just want get some for fashion, go there, but don't expect they will get perfect comfortable fit.

Highly recommend! I had a great experience at SEE. Brooke is an expert at helping you pick out exactly the right frames. So knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly! She made really good recommendations and helped me stay inside my budget, which can be hard to do when buying glasses. The selection at SEE is fantastic, bold, and fun. The staff at SEE was incredibly helpful with my new glasses. There were tons of frames to pick from - a lot of distinctive styles, nothing boring or flimsy here. I also liked that each frame is offered in several colors so there is no disappointment when the perfect shape frame isn't the right color. Teressa shared her recommendations and opinions without being pushy, which really helped me feel comfortable. I had a prescription from another optometrist, so I can't comment on their exams. But Sean really made sure I was satisfied with the fit before I left - again, very patient with how picky I am. Overall, I loved the selection and I was floored by the service. I think the cost of the product was comparable to the mall optometrists - sure, you could find cheaper glasses, but you wouldn't get the quality and selection you find at SEE. The service is the icing on the cake. Thanks, SEE!

The worst, looks very sketchy at the beginning , indeed the worst after you had your service. I gave them my insurance card and they had all my information, but they forgot or put the wrong information in the system, so they can’t my insurance information and sent the claim to me! I spend 4 hrs calling the provider, the vision insurance company and the Aetna company. Be careful, don’t waste time!!!

I bought a pair of glasses last spring. I love the frames, constantly get compliments on them. The lenses, not so much. I got the protective coating, however they are more scratched up than the pair of glasses I got from Target 4 years ago that I didn't purchase protective coating for (and clearly have owned ALOT longer) I tried to use only the special cleaning stuff they give you, but let's be honest, that isn't always handy when my glasses get dirty. However if you don't use the protective cleaning cloth, tissues and shirts will just smear. That also didn't happen with my Target glasses (or any other glasses I've owned my 20 years of semi-blindness). If I ever buy glasses from See again, I'll probably just buy the frames and get lenses put in somewhere else.

I was in town to cheer on my boyfriend for his half Ironman, and carrying around his stuff. He left his glasses with me but I didn't have anything to put them in. I walked in to SEE to see if they would sell me a case. They ended up cleaning the BF's glasses and giving me a case for free. Thanks so much, you really saved me in a pinch! I called from Hampton Roads looking for See 2628 for my friend. I spoke with Ali, who was working with a customer and said she would have to call me back. Once Ali called back she informed me that her location did not have the frame but she would text me other frames that were similar (from her personal phone). They had the frame but not in the color he wanted. I went over the frames Ali sent with my friend and he didn't want those he wanted the 2628. I texted Ali and asked if she could check other locations to possibly see if someone had the frame. Ali called and said out of the four locations that showed inventory she could only find one pair in St. Louis. Ali had the hold the pair for us until the end of business. We purchased the frames and we received them within 3 business days. Ali worked with me all day regarding these frames and I greatly appreciate her time and effort. If anyone deserves an award it is her. She was pleasant each time we spoke and really went above and beyond for us.

Was very surprised to see such high reviews when I googled this place. The staff is only nice to you if you are buying glasses, otherwise they are extremely rude. So, for example, if you went there to get your prescription checked, they would be pretty rude to you if that was all you wanted. Also WARNING do not mention the name Warby Parker because they will blow a gasket. Along with that, they will not fix warby parker glasses lol.

SEE will cause you numerous headaches due to careless mistakes. They have ordered me the wrong contacts, promised to deliver the replacements directly to me, and then back-tracked, making me pick them up in store. They have also provided me a prescription for glasses over contacts that turned out to be a prescription for glasses only.

The lady at this one maybe it wasn't her day but she had no interest- she wanted to swat me away like a fly. Then when she did actually help me I'm surprised she didn't throw them on the ground.
