I love Gettysburg Eye Care! The staff is great... always courteous and very knowledgeable. I've never ever had any issues with insurance or payment or scheduling. Also, Dr. Hsu is awesome! Super-nice , extremely trustworthy and and important and involved person in the local community. My family and I will forever be patients of Dr. Hsu's!

I got safety glasses here for work the day I went in I was given a price to pay I paid it that day after two months I had to call them to see if they came in I was told that the order never went though so two weeks later they came in i had them for two weeks and they called me that I owe them more money why did they give me a price the day I got them and than ask for more that just not how you do business

Really bad experience. I switched from a provider in Mechanicsburg to be closer to home. The Optometrist at Gettysburg Eye Care said the contacts I had been wearing were the wrong prescription and asked me to try a different strength. The strength and brand were subpar. After using the supply I had I called to order contacts and was told because I preferred the other brand, I would have to be fitted again even though insurance only provides one fitting per year as is in keeping with standards of care. This was an obvious attempt to collect another consult fee. Will be anxiously awaiting next year and struggling with contacts that were uncomfortable and not a good fit for me.

My wife and I are both regular patients at this office for our eye care, and we both agree not only is the entire office staff awesome, the doctors, exams and the first class examining equipment makes this eye care facility incredible!! I found the staff to be incredibly discourteous! My contact price has been marked up drastically!! I was charged for a "contact fitting" even though the doctor never looked at my eyes with my contacts in. When I questioned the receptionist, I was told to pay the amount, or they would not release my prescription to have my contacts filled else where. When I continued to question the receptionist about this charge, she LIED and said "the tech did the contact exam". WHAT?!?! #1 no the tech did not. #2 Why is a tech doing an "exam" instead of a doctor?!?! Shading operation!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

My wife and I just completed our annual eye exam in Nov. of 2014. Over the years we have been to many different eye care facilities as we've moved around the country. By far this is the most thorough, friendly and professional staff we have ever encountered. Each of them went out of their way to make us feel at home and relaxed while explaining all options available for our new glasses. I cannot overemphasize their high degree of friendliness and courtesy. I saw Dr Bixler and my wife saw Dr Hsu. Both of these doctors were excellent and so very patient, courteous and genuinely concerned about our well-being. They went out of their way to respond to our every question. The exams they gave us were the best we have ever had. The facilities were clean, well-organized and bright. We were extremely pleased with every aspect of our visit.

My family have been patients of Dr. Hsu for over 25 years, since he worked for Vision World in the York Galleria Mall. I live 45 minutes from his office and pass a number eye doctor's offices to get to his. He has an excellent staff who are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Gettysburg Eye Care.
