At first, I thought I had a bad experience, for I wasn't satisfied with my last appointment. I just wanted an upgrade on my lenses and a new pair of glasses. I had to wait a couple of months to get new glasses because the doctor suggested that I go see another doctor before I got new glasses. I got angered and frustrated. I mistakenly bought a cheap pair of glasses that I really didn't want to buy, but I was in a hurry and rushed. After thinking about it, I realized that I was wrong; it wasn't their fault. Firstly, the doctor wasn't just concerned about my eyes, she took into consideration my entire health. I'm a diabetic, and she explained to me that I can possibly go blind from the diabetes. She was doing her job and making sure that my eye problem wasn't from the diabetes. That, I did not know. Secondly, that pair of glasses that I bought and didn't want, they refunded my money and sold me a very nice pair of glasses. They should not have refunded my money for my mistake, but they did. In the end, they made sure that I was happy and satisfied with everything. I've been a patient there for many years, and I will keep going there as long as they'll treat me. Everyone who works there is friendly and nice, even when I was not, they continually remained professional and curtious.

I have seen the business grow keeping up with change and the staff expand to meet the needs of patient care. With each visit, the care is always thorough and personal. I have been going here for about 10 years and I have tried to give them many chances to reclaim themselves but it just seems that the staff here is incompetent. I love Lori at this office and Dr Green but the main issues I have had are: a misdiagnosis by one of the other eye doctors their who thought I had an eye infection and I actually had eye lesions from the contacts I was given. Dr Green actually figured this out. I went for an eye exam last week and told the staff I was almost out of my contacts, I paid for an entire year was given samples for 10 days, it’s now day 10 and no contacts. I called the office to find out it may take 2-4 weeks to receive my contact and they have no more samples. This is complete incompetence on that staffs part and I cannot believe how I was tried on the telephone today. The girl basically had no compassion for someone that cannot see. For paying over $1000 for a visit and contacts with my insurance and out of my own pocket I would think the staff here could be a lot nicer! I hope others take this into consideration when choosing an office to go to.

I went in for an eye exam and never mentioned I wanted to purchase contacts or eye glasses. I just needed an updated prescription so in the future I could use it for new contacts. I got through my exam and was told we would be fitting me with new contacts and that I would be getting some samples to try out. I told the Dr. I was not getting contacts or glasses and that I was using my free eye exam before my vision plan ran out. I was also getting new vision coverage from my new employer. Once I told her that it was like she flipped a switch from being so nice to harassing me for not spending any money there that day. I have spent thousands of dollars at eyecare greengate in the past but after my most recent visit I can say they will not be receiving another dime from me or my wife. There are better places to get your eyes checked out that are far less expensive so if you have taken the time to read my review consider other options.

I have been a patient of Eyecare Greengate for years. About two years ago I had a problem adapting to my new eyeglasses. Dr. Green and his staff did everything in their power to resolve the problem. It turned out that there was nothing wrong with the glasses and Dr. Green figured out how to resolve the issue. It was an issue with one eye that could not be detected on any type of exam. Now my vision is great. You can tell the quality of an organization when there is a problem and how it is handled. These people are great. I highly recommend them. The staff consists of people who are the nicest and most-competent people you would ever care to deal with.

Very poor business practice. After checking the internet for their hours of operation I drove 12 miles, to pick up contacts for my wife, only to find out they are closed on Saturdays. Three places on the internet it is advertised that they are open on Saturday 9AM to 1PM. According to the internet they are open on Fridays too, but this is also false. After looking at their web site it has way at the bottom call for hours with the * next to it. But who would look that far when the first 3 places the hours are advertised say they are open. The hours of operation are on the door to the store (Saturday by appointment). How hard is it to update a web site. I know I will never do business here and I will try to talk my wife into going somewhere else.

The eye exam they provide is very through, however my prescription had changed and I needed new glasses. Not surprised, so I pick out new frames and paid for everything IN FULL and am told that they should be in in two to three weeks. After two weeks I call (we were about to leave for vacation, I was hopeful) to find out if they are in and am told no. After three weeks I call and again am told that they are not in. I double check to make sure that they have my correct phone number on file (they do) and am told that they would call me, that it was an automated call. Four weeks... still nothing! Then I receive a voicemail that they are in, however it is obvious that the scratch resistant protection that I paid for wasn't done so they are sending them back! Yet another week and a half pass before I get the call that they are finally in and ready for pick up. I work nights and sleep during the day, so I pick them up the following day. I try them on and suggest that the nose pieces be adjusted slightly and the comment is made "Huh, never satisfied" as she walks away to do the adjustment! I'm instantly furious! I feel that I have been beyond patient through this whole process only to be snipped at after asking the slightest request... it is her job after all... sad part is, I still have to go back because the ear pieces also need to be tweeked just a bit but I did not have the patience after her comment to request such a thing while I was there the first time. Needless to say, other than having them tweek my ear piece, I will not be back! I understand that everyone has a bad day now and then but that is no excuse to make rude comments. I am in nursing, and I would never degrade someone because of their inability to perform daily activity tasks for themselves. And after an extended waiting period I believe the last thing she needed to do was get huffy with me for performing her job! #customerlost #byebye

Was very disappointed for years with the results of regular eye exams elsewhere and wanted to try the newer digital exams offered at Eyecare Greengate. I was very pleased with the modern equipment available to offer me the most exacting lens prescription. As for the staff they helped guide me through the testing, exam, and eventual glasses fitting. Both the Doctor and Staff were more than pleased to answer all my questions and explain different choices and costs available without hesitation. Overall, I felt that I was in good hands and felt very relieved knowing I had made the right decision choosing Eyecare Greengate.

I went to Walmart eye care for a long time and never knew what I was missing out on! Not only does Greengate eye care have an amazing selection of super cute glasses and sun glasses, but they have extremely helpful staff members that provide amazing customer service. After my first appointment here, I was having issues with my Busch and Lomb ultra contacts getting dry and blurry (which we later found was due to my eyes not agreeing with the all silicone lenses). They agreed to do an exchange on any unopened boxes I had, gave me trial pairs to replace the pairs which I had thrown away before the issue was found, and did not charge me for the emergency appointment they scheduled for me within 5 minutes of me walking in (considering most places probably would have charged an "arm and a leg", as my mother would say). Overall, I would absolutely recommend Greengate to my own friends and family. Therefor This is a well deserved 5 star rating in my opinion.

I wrote a previous review that was not a good review. I was under the impression that they had charged me for glasses that I couldn’t afford and my insurance couldn’t cover. I have since learned that isn’t the case. They did put in frames I couldn’t afford. And they did put me in frames my insurance couldn’t cover. But they were kind enough to eat the cost and not charge me for the overages. I had no idea until my insurance company called them to find out what was going on. I needed lenses and frames to cost $100, with no out of pocket expense. They put me in $200 frames. And ate the cost. Very few companies these days are willing to go over and above. I couldn’t be more grateful.

Wonderful experience! I used to dread going to the eye doctor, because I HATE to get my eyes dilated. I have to get my eyes checked often, due to my eye issues. I would always end up with a bad headache and feeling nauseous afterwards. I also had a hard time focusing my eyes most of the day after the appointment. My husband became a patient of Eyecare Greengate and then he kept trying to encourage me to go. He told me that he was extremely happy with the service that he received when he was seen. In the past, he had prescriptions glasses done at other locations that were not correct. Eyecare Greengate did a thorough exam and he loves his new glasses. He finally convinced me to schedule and I am truly thankful that he did! The staff was fantastic! Very friendly and personable! Kayla made me feel at ease during all the testing! Dr. Green was awesome! He explained everything and I learned even more about my eye issues (increased ocular pressure.) I was also thrilled because he told me that I don’t need glasses, as of yet. This also added to my happiness of the entire visit! My husband and I plan to continue being patients at this office.
