REVIEWS OF American Vision at the Court IN Pennsylvania

Dr. Kirchner has been my eye-doctor since I was twelve years old and I turned thirty-nine last week. I have NEVER had a problem with anyone affiliated with American Vision Center. In fact, they have always gone out of their way to be helpful to me. They have even helped me out with the occasional pair of contacts when I have run out and my prescription was expired at no cost, so long as I promised to make an appointment and get my eyes examined as soon as possible. As I have aged, my eyes have become astigmatic as opposed to myopic and I have had some trouble transitioning from regular to toric contacts. Dr. Kirchner told me that some people see better without their astigmatism corrected, so he changed my prescription for me, but I am still having difficulty. I was prompted to write this review because I had to look up the phone number to call and let them know that I was still having problems. I started my schpiel, which admittedly was much more detailed than necessary, and the lady on the phone patiently waited until I was done to tell me that she would relay the message, but that she would have to talk to the doctor before she could help me. I know from experience that they will get back to me as soon as they can. Now back to what prompted me to write this review, I noticed that the two reviews that were less than stellar, contained grammatical errors, and it made me think to myself "for people who are so critical, one would think that they would read what they wrote before they posted it." I guess it just goes to show that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. As far as the person with the problem with the Crizal lenses goes, I can assure you that these people are not just in it for the money. I was referred to American Vision by a friend who is long dead, and the last time I was in the store we were discussing her and he told everyone in the waiting area a delightful story about her dating from the days before there were such things as disposable lenses. Rest in peace Jackie, and thank you Dr. Kirchner!

Be aware of immoral business of this store. I bought glasses for $700 (a Lindberg frame + Crizal lenses) in June 2010. This is a rimless high end frame so they do not send your frame to the insurance company lab for drilling of the lenses; they do all the work in their own lab. I noticed a small crack around a drilled hole on one of the lenses a few weeks ago and it started to grow. I took my glasses to the store and talked with a shopping assistant; I told her that the crack must have happened due to either a drilling or a manufacturing error. First, she told me that there would not be any manufacturing error for Crizal lenses. Then she stated that it was either because of a drilling error or a big impact on that point. This is a very thin and delicate titanium frame. If it had been affected by a huge impact, do you believe that nothing would have happened to the frame but it would have caused a crack on a polycarbonate lens? A very clever explanation! Then the shopping assistant checked my purchase information and told me that I had bought the glasses more than a year ago and its warranty was expired. I told her that Crizal lenses had two years warranty. She told me that she would call the lens manufacturer and ask for their opinion. Then, she went inside to talk with the lab technician, came back, and told me that they would honor a replacement without talking to the manufacturer. Five minutes after I left the store, the shopping assistant contacted me on my phone and told me that my two year warranty had expired three days ago and they would not replace my lenses. I noticed why she behaved like that immediately. While we were talking about this issue, there were other customers whom they could sell very expensive glasses in the store. For that reason, she did not want to discuss with me in front of them and lied to me to make me leave the store. What a cheap way of treating customers. I will spend another $300 for new lenses for their bad work but I will never stop by this store.

Fantastic experience! Highly recommended! I was passing through the mall on my way to another vision center and stopped in to look at frames. The reception and customer care won me over from the start and in just a short week I had my new designer frames and contacts. Their attention to detail and care is unmatched. They asked about my style and had me try on several frames adjusting each selection to my feedback. Overall I had a great experience, and am very happy with the products and care!

Recently I met Dr. Gary Kirshner at a gym where I work out. We started a conversation and he told me about his occupation. He seemed like a nice enough guy so I made an appointment to see him for an eye exam. I was greeted by a very friendly staff in beautiful, professional surroundings. Within a few minutes Dr. Kirshner came out and escorted me to his office. Having had eye exams in the past, I was expecting burning drops and eye pressure devices that made me squirm. This was not the case at all. The entire experience exceeded my expectations. Dr. Kirshner was gentle, the eye drops did not burn and the way he examined my eyes was very gentle. I highly recommend him as a top care provider. Scott Furman, CRS, GRI, ABR, SRES, ASR, CDPE Broker/Owner, RE/MAX Classic Ranked top 5 in PA 35 years of success!

It's always such a fun experience! Besides finding fun glasses, I always get the best customer service. I have been very happy going there for the past 10 years. Doctor Kirshner and his team are the best!!!

Dr Kirshner and his wife are wonderful!! I had a short-fused walk-in eye exam requirement and they went above and beyond to help me! Their store is beautiful and the frames are amazing. They do not sell stock frames so if you’re looking for something unique they have it! I’ll be back for my annual exam. Thanks Doc!!!

I have been going to Dr. Kirshner for over 30 years. I couldn't think of entrusting my eye care to anyone else. He is thorough and caring during every eye exam. The office staff couldn't be nicer. They always make me feel welcome and they are always ready to make sure I am happy. I highly recommend American Vision Center.

I have been going to American Vision since I was 16. I am now 46. Gary and his staff have always taken great care of my. I currently live in Margate, NJ. It is just about a 90 mile drive to have my eyes examined. It is worth the trip. American Vision has staff that has been working with Gary for over 20 years. To me that says everyting. I will not go anywhere else.

8/16/18 UPDATE! I have to say, another visit and another great frame from AV! Cindi helped me get it "Just Right" again! I got in my car and caught a look and thought... "who is that?!" ha it was me :) Loving my new frame! Thanks Cindi and Dr. K I googled American Vision to get the phone number as I didn't have it written down. I was more than surprised to find a 2 star review that claimed there was immoral business practices. I have been going to American Vision for more than 20 years. I bought countless pairs of glasses from Dr. Kirshner and his wife, Cindi (even before I began seeing Dr. Kirshner for eye exams. I had an opthomologist very close to home). I have never had a problem. Ever! In fact after my husband had laser eye surgery, he began to see Dr. Kirshner for eye exams. That's when I began seeing Dr. Kirshner also. It's a one stop shop. I regularly am stopped by people asking me where I get my eye glasses because they are always so stylish and fit perfectly. Cindi and her staff always take the time to work with me to find just the right pair. Besides that, my experience today went above and beyond. I wanted to get eyeglasses that were light weight. Cindi showed me many pairs. We narrowed it down to two: one heavier and more expensive the other very light weight and a lower price point. I loved both of them but really loved the slightly heavier pair. Cindi said to me, "with the stress in your life, I feel like comfort is more important to you at this time. There will always be cute frames in the future when you don't have so much to deal with." Now, I haven't talked to her in two years (lest you think she's my best friend). I only gave her a brief synopsis of what was going on in my life and she hit the nail on the head. It made my decision of which eye glasses to choose all that much easier. I walked out spending less money, but more than satisfied! Immoral?!?---I think NOT!! Don't think twice about checking out this long time establishment. You will get what you pay for! (and more in my humble opinion!) 12/26/15 Have been wanting to write an update, so here it is! If you need a lightweight pair of glasses or just a second pair to have on hand, check out the ECO biobased frames. I almost never wear my contacts. When I put these glasses on, I really don't realize they are on my face (except for when the lenses are dirty!) They are very lightweight and comfortable! Thanks again, Cindi! Happy New Year!

I have had my eyes examined and purchased two pairs of glasses at American Vision and my experiences have been extremely positive. The attention to detail and willingness to help are exceptional. I've even stopped by while nearby to have my glasses checked for proper alignment and they are eager to tweak alignment, clean the lenses, and send me on my way free-of-charge. I love this place!

Had a great experience getting my first pair of progressive lenses. The female owner personally helped me select the coolest frames which I already have received many compliments. When I picked them up the whole staff made me feel great and explained how to use these lenses. Now I can see perfect for both far away and on the computer. This is a wonderful place to do business and I already have my husband going there. They have the greatest selection of glasses and I would highly recommend this place to others.

Dr Kirshner's place has the worst customer service. They might have some cool stylish glasses in the store. However, their horrible client experience keeps driving interested clients away. Would not recommend this place unless you want to be talked down like a child. Considering they charge a higher price than normal vision care places while giving nasty attitude to clients. I don't see why people want to spend so much money at their store.

American Vision at the Court is my go-to place whenever I need glasses. I am always joyfully received, and I always find the most incredible frames. People often ask where I buy my frames. No place else, but American Vision. Recently had cataract surgery. Could have gone without glasses (but for readers); however, I refused. I have always worn glasses and the frames from American Vision are a permanent part of my fashion statement.

Best experience I've ever had. I got right in immediately after arriving for my exam appointment, and the optometrist was very nice and professional, as was the staff. As an added plus, today even while they were extremely busy, they helped me pick out glasses I love. I have trouble finding glasses that fit, and they were so helpful, finding me the right pair.
