Very bad experience with this place (though Dr. Conklin is an excellent optometrist). First off, the lenses I ordered took a bit longer than expected (instead of just the normal 7 days, according to them) from the lab having to redo them for some reason. When I came back after 2 days, I was told the lenses were both for my left eye(!). I tried to be patient since I guess the fault was in the lab—a third party company. I was also told they were going to have the [single lense] rushed, which would significantly cut my waiting time. Two days later, I was told I needed to come back to have my frames remeasured (which they apparently needed again and could have done the last time I was there). I told them I'm leaning on having my transaction cancelled, since I could order new glasses at a fraction of the cost online, even with speedy delivery and manufacturing options—unless I get my lenses soon. They offered no form of compensation or any consolation offer for all the screw-up's so far. I call after 6 days for a follow-up, and I was told they're expected 10 days from my last visit, which was even longer than the initial wait time for both lenses (so much for having it rushed after they messed up, and all this wait for one, single lense). As I said, they have a great doctor, but this would be my last time getting glasses/lenses from them (and I've been needing new prescription glass badly since my old ones could have potentially been aggravating my migraines lately, being apparently too strong for me now). 5 total visits and 22 days to get lenses for my glasses!? I'd get them somewhere else if I were you.
I have been going to see Dr. Ledford for three years now. After seeing another optometrist and having her fit me with three pairs of glasses and four sets of contact lenses with none of them being right, he nailed it the first try. I'm most pleased with his knowledge and professionalism. The other staff are also very good and professional. Heather is always pleasant, courteous, and helpful. I recommend them to all my friends and family.
The worst experience I have ever had at a Walmart and the Eye Center. The customer service people are extremely lazy and unhelpful in both areas. Kim at the Phone Center mimmicked every word I said to a coworker not realizing I was still on the line and not on hold. Then denied it. Unbelievable!!!!
I have been wearing Walmart glasses for years. Walmart always has the lowest prices in America. I always find a durable pair of glasses that I love. Thanks Walmart!!

I went to get glasses in Aug 2018 and I have trouble with them ever since. I have been in several times to get them to do something about it and that say it will get better when I get use to it or I could get tint on them. My problem is on each of the lenses have numbers and characters on each side it is in my line of vision. It is affecting me bad. I called the customer service # on my receipt and they say they called the manager of this office and I would get a call back. Didn't happen. Now there saying it's been to long to do anything even though I been there several times they don't have any record of me going in there " image that" I am very disappointed and will NEVER go back to Wal-Mart again for any of my eye needs!!!!!!

When they schedule you for appointments and you're not in the state at the time they schedule you, they kick you off and label you as a "walk in" and dont explain what a walk in is. After trying to understand, they say "the doctor doesnt want to see you anymore because you missed appointments..." way to be a "healthcare professional."

I was going to leave a Yelp review but I can't leave a seperate one from the actual regular store. I've had mixed experiences here, the doctor I've seen has been condescending and though knowledgeable has talked to me as if I'm five years old. I had a terrible experience with the receptionist a couple months back when I tried to return some contacts, however, I recently went in person to speak with the manager and she was LOVELY! She more than made up for my poor past experiences, she understood my issue and was more than happy to help. She was extremely personable and we had a nice time chatting. I think her name was Jenna. All I can say is thank you, you made my day so much better; and I'm sorry if I came across cranky at first

Women at jewelry counter would not change my watch battery! There always seems to be people trolling the parking lots begging for money. I don't feel safe in this parking garage.

Other than Frank Diaz the manager, the staff was rude and unprofessional. Frank is a man of his word and is one i would recomended anyone who is looking for a decent pair of glasses to go see. Thanks Frank.!
New management and very helpful
The most ghetto Walmart I've ever been to. There is a two level parking garage that's so dirty it feels like the ground has been covered by the left overs of the mall dumpster where not evening made it in. The electronics department only has one way in and out where you MUST purchase your stuff there and they have someone always checking your bags before you leave the area even if you didn't get anything. Doesn't that make you feel safe. They also close at midnight which makes someone who works at nights and and sleep in the day hard to do their shopping without having to drive an extra 20 minutes to the next Walmart. Best try to not go here if you can.
April and Vanessa are the ones who took care of me at my visit, they explained my insurance thoroughly and were really personable. They got what i needed done effectively and quick☺️ I always love coming here
Very poor and rude customer service. I will not be going back. I went in for a routine visit to get my prescription and somehow I left without the prescription because they couldn't get in contact with my old eye doctor. I had to go back 2 extra times to finally obtain my prescription. The receptionist was very rude pver the phone as well.

Excellent. Not only do they have a top notch optometrist, Dr Michael Peters, every tech who works there is also professional, knowledgable and friendly. My new optometrist and will always stay with Walmart Vision Center. Great group of professionals working at your local Walmart. What a find.

Dr. Ledford is AWESOME. He is patient and understanding! So is his assistant. The staff that is in the glasses part of the Center could use some more training. Unfortunately I’ve had a couple unpleasant experiences with them. I will continue my appts with Dr. Ledford and purchase my glasses elsewhere!
Dr. C is fantastic and I've used him several times in getting contacts. In my past visit hr discoved retinal detachment. The staff however is very ride and unprofessional. You can tell they work for Walmart and not the doctor or I'm sure they, especially the manager, would be gone. I was promised "bridge" contacts until after my final eye surgery. But now after a bridge one time, they refuse to help wanting a prescription from the Dr. Who difd the surgery. Problem is it's fir the good eye Walmart has the most current one. so now they threaten damiging my good eye with infections.

I walked into the Vision Center 15 minutes before closing at 7:45 p.m. last Friday Night. It was the last day I had to use my vision insurance before the policy year expired. I'd already missed the closing at Sam's Club because I had the closing time wrong. The first thing I noticed as I walked in was that there was only one employee, she glanced at her watch. I thought oh no she's ready to go home. I'm sure she was but she never let on other than that slight glance at her watch which I'm sure wasn't meant for me to notice. If I've ever had better customer service I don't know when or where. Vanessa was amazing! She advised me that if I was a member of AARP I could get a 30% discount. She patiently waited while I joined up via my smart phone. Vanessa spent the next hour with me advising me on lenses and frames including what looked best on me and what in her opinion I would be most comfortable in and happy wearing over time. Even though I had kept her way beyond closing when I asked, could we talk sunglasses she didn't even flinch. Do yourself a favor and go see Vanessa at the Walmart Vision Center at Valley View Mall.
Staff is always friendly and helpful. Definitely will continue to use them for my family's vision needs.
I now have 2 kids in glasses, and this is the only place we shop. My kids can always find a style they love, and it doesn't cost me a fortune. And Vanessa is the absolute best!
It's relatively cheap and everyone is very nice and professional. Not sure what everyone is expecting....it's in a Walmart. Idiots!
They were very nice and they fix and adjust my glasses whenever I need them fixed. My dog ate the nose garden off my glasses and they only charged me for the replacement guard. Great people
The staff at the Walmart Vision Center at Valley View are amazing! They were very attentive. Kylie especially made our visit there one to always remember. My sons glasses were eaten by his sisters puppy. And, as many of us, new glasses just were not in the budget that week. When I explained this to her, she asked me to wait just a second. She came back with a voucher to help us pay for his glasses. Thank you Kylie, we sure do appreciate it!!!
Pamela the "vision center manager" was rude and unhelpful. If I had any other options for solving the issue I went in for I would have left. Exceptionally rude.
I’ve been coming to this vision center for several years now. I get both my glasses and contacts exams done here for a reasonable price and they have a pretty great variety of frames to choose from. I’ve never had a bad experience here.
Went there yesterday - I had a patient in my Hospice House who had broken her glasses. The frames were very old!!! Heather looked and looked and found a frame that fit perfectly- She took time- she was friendly- she was caring- My patient was so happy- Her words- I CAN SEE AGAIN!!!!! Dr. Conklin and has staff have always treated me with utmost respect. They have excellent customer service and were willing to find options that worked with my budget. Five stars for always having a smile on their face and helping their customers out.
This place renders fantastic service. The kind, attentive care of the Doctor and the Supervisor help the patient client to feel comfortable. Not to mention, there is an ample and varied supply of frames available.

DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR. Will not properly fit glasses then continue to charge you money to come back so he can have a “fill in” to help you. He won’t even help or be there. Staff are nice but not worth the amount of money spent. Can’t expect better from Walmart
Everything in the office was okay. Staff was rude but got the job done. I paid for my services and scheduled a follow up visit. I am an out of state college student so I made the follow up visit but was leaving the next day for school. The day of the appointment they called and cancelled. I got the voicemail and attempted to call back with no answer. So I left for college. I called to get my prescription so I could order more contacts. They refused to give me my prescription because I didn't have a follow up, even though they cancelled. They basically told me that if I didn't come in that I would not be able to get my prescription. I asked about a partial refund because I paid for services that they would not give me and I paid for the exam but was not allowed to have my results. They said no and another employee told the woman on the phone to "just hang up" on me, because apparently I was asking to many questions. They were extremely rude the entire phone call and treated me in an extremely disrespectful manner. I was very upset afterwards as they would not help me in any way and were even laughing at me. I would not send anyone to this eye center! They do not have kindness or good customer service at all. I am now out a good chunk of money and can not get more contacts until I pay for another exam. I asked them to send me all information they had on me but we will see if that even happens...
Love this place. I have 2 kids in glasses and have got both of their glasses here at this location. They have a price range for everyone and a great selection. The staff doesn't pressure you into adding extras but do offer them for those who want them. I've gotten several pairs of sunglasses from them for myself and they have held up well. Vanessa is a great help in selecting frames and making sure they fit your face and style.
My frame was broke so I took it to the vision center. S The lady wasn't able to fix the frame, but was able to shave my lenses so that they would fit into one of their glasses frames. Very helpful and good customer service.
We have had nothing but fantastic service from here! They all have been courteous and efficient with their services. If you want to pay $300 for an exam at a private practice, I guess that's your choice but for me, they've helped my daughter our tremendously.

I have gotten all of my glasses here for the past 5 years. The frame selection is great, they have so many cute choices it's always hard to pick just one. Vanessa is super helpful and always helps me choose the perfect frame. I always get so many compliments on my glasses. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this optical.
Per Usual of Wal-Mart's everywhere only 1 person working & 6 people needing to be helped. 1hour wait time just to order contacts, rediculous!!!
They have an unhelpful and rude receptionist who couldn't be bothered to help make contact fitting appointments that work with my schedule. Sure its cheaper than other places but damn you lose any quality of service.
