My prescription ran out 14 days prior to me getting to my new doctor in Florida, where I was forced to moved after being laid off in SD. I was down to my last pair of contacts and they were bothering me horribly! I called the doctor and out of the goodness of his heart, he extended my prescription with the warning I should get them checked again asap. I thought this was a kind and generous act since I was still jobless and struggling and unable to afford a new exam PLUS the glasses. So, I spent my last 30 dollars over what I had to pay for the glasses to get back to the closest WalMart to me (approx 25 miles) and when they called to get my prescription the doctor in Rapid City had "changed his mind" because he wouldn't get my business any more. He never called, he never warned me this might happen when he was first asked. I would have preferred he said no at the beginning.
So now, here I am at a public library, one contact in and barely able to see.
If this doctor can be so cruel as to allowing me to go through this and breaking that verbal contract we had, what will he do to your eyes???? BEWARE!
