I don't mind paying a premium for premium service but unfortunately that is not what you get here. They don't follow up on their promises to call you back (happened four times to me), they don't apologize when you call them out on it, and they are quick to blame their customers. Very nice glasses but otherwise disappointing.

I went into eye 1 knowing I wanted to purchase a pair of 2.5 glasses. I spoke with the women there about the frames and what it would run me to purchase. My eyes are not the best but I've never run into a problem buying glasses I liked. After discussing the lenses for the frames prices went from $565.00 to over $1000.00. The women said the would call me the next day with a final price. I've never heard back from either. So I know an eye store in NY city GlassesEtc. on Lexington they carry all the same frames. I called them faxed my prescription and a week later the glasses were delivered to my home at a cost of $550.00. It was Obvious that they were not interested in me or my business. seeing that I tend to buy glasses quit often I think its their loss. I'll stick with people who appreciate my dollars even if its out of state.

At the direction of my opthamologist, I recently went on a quest for the "right" frames and lenses. I am extremely myopic and consequently my lenses are painfully thick. So, I required a smaller, round frame and 1.76 high index lenses. On my way to the 10th stop of the day in search of what I was coming to believe was merely an object of lore (small, round frames with thin lenses), I passed Eye 1. The decision to turn around and check it out was a good one. The folks greeted me right away and then spent almost 2 hours helping me pick out just the right pair. The lady assisting me even took pictures so I could send to my wife to get her opinion as well. I was even more pleased when my frames with lenses returned about 2 weeks later--right on time. I haven't had lenses so thin and light in decades. I've had the glasses now for about 2 months. Love them as much as the day I picked them up. Thanks to all the helpful and patient folks who assisted me. You have a loyal customer for life.

Since my previous review, I wanted to report a very negative experience, similar to what other reviewers noted. While Sharon and some of the store staff are kind and helpful, there is one woman (whose name I can't recall) who is super-rude... and honestly probably shouldn't be serving the public (note to store!!). When my glasses came back AGAIN (third time) with the wrong prescription, she got very snotty, implied that the glasses didn't work because i *thought* they weren't working, told me that I should expect to take my glasses off to see up close because that's what you do with bifocals (??!! she repeated this advice several times, witnessed by my daughter), and then she stormed off into the back of the store because "if you've decided they won't work, then they never will." That is, when I put them on, close view was *blurry*.... but this was because of my belief system and not the glasses themselves. Sure. This blurriness wasn't an artifact of new bifocals-- they just weren't made right. The store owner agreed to refund my purchase and they told me then that I would never be able to wear bifocals because my face is too small and my PD is too narrow. My 9 year old daughter successfully wears bifocals, so that immediately seemed false. So, I went home, ordered the cheapest pair of bifocals I could find online, and received them a week later. And they worked PERFECTLY! I have no idea what Eye 1 was doing wrong with my glasses. But I know that I now own three pairs of bi-focal glasses-- two super small vintage ones and one standard modern round-- that work perfectly, allow me to see up-close without taking my glasses off (!!) and allow me to see distance. They don't cause huge movement along the side of the lenses... they're perfect! All in all, the transaction was OK. My money was refunded, and that means a lot. But given the attitude of the staff member who waited on me the last time I was in there.... GEEZ. They really should consider getting her some formal customer service training. I was literally two sales (plus many more over the years) that walked out the door mainly because of her bad attitude. If the saleswoman hadn't been SO RUDE that I wanted to bolt out of the store as fast as possible, I probably would have asked them to just change the script to single vision and purchased a second pair as readers. But since she was beyond belief rude in her attitude (telling a customer they should EXPECT things to be blurry in their new glasses is insane, so is stomping off to the back room like a spoiled child), I just wanted to leave, and I asked for a refund. Thank you, Eye 1, for refunding my purchase. Here's my initial review-- of Sharon, the wonderful, delightful and kind and patient woman who helped me the first few times I was in. ** Super helpful, very friendly. Stood behind me as a customer even when the frames I chose ended up not working for my face/prescription. I really could not say enough great things. The reviews on here about customer service must be from people who really are jerks... cause this is THE BEST customer service I've ever had from any company. And the selection of frames? No one else even comes close, even online. Awesome shop... I will always return here for frames and lenses.

I've been shopping here for many years now. The staff is friendly and very good at helping you pick out glasses. The frames are unique and the lenses high quality.

I recently visited the store to try on designer frames. I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed my visit. If you are looking for one of a kind designer frames this place is for you!

Worst store ever! They sell Lindberg frames but they are horrible on the service end of the sale and are also rude and unprofessional. Lindberg is a premier eyewear line but this group painted them as unapproachable, non communicative and outdated. If you watch TV broadcast news most of the frames you see are Lindberg. On this last transaction the manager twice lost her composure and screamed at both my wife and I for asking questions about the warranty process and telling her that she should have disclosed a traumatic event to explain an off day she had at the beginning of the event. Please heed this warning and go elsewhere

Not only one of the best selections of frames I've seen in a while but what's even better is that the staff are all incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in helping you find a new frame that's best suited for YOU. Very impressed, and oh so happy with the two frames I picked out last time. Kudos to eye one!

The people at Eye 1 are geniuses. Not only do they take their time in helping you pick out the perfect eyewear for your face, they are willing to tell you to take off what you think works on you but really doesn't. Their selection is absolutely the best in Ohio, and their service is unparalleled. My optometrist had screwed up my reading prescription and not only did David Brown quickly identify the problem but resolved the issue and I now have several pairs of readers designed to work for different distances and uses. This is the ONLY place I will buy my eyewear.

Wonderful boutique eye shop. The staff that works there are amazing at matching you with a pair of frames that make you feel like the coolest person in the room. They have a lot of funky, quirky, stunning designs that you can't find anywhere else.

I have purchased 3 paris of glasses from Eye 1. I've always enjoyed my visits there; whether it was for a purchase, browsing, or repairs, the staff here are friendly and knowledgeable regarding their unique eyewear. I'm think I'm due for a "new" pair

My friends and family travel in from out of state to shop here. Eye one finds the perfect fit for each face and each persons personality! David never disappoints me or my friends and family. He takes his time and fits the frames and lenses wonderfully. My glasses from eye one are beautifully made and works of art.
