I have been going to Erie Optical since Dr. Waldman Sr. was in the Painesville office. Dr. Waldman Jr. is very professional and thorough, however the last two times I was for glasses the one of the staff members was curt and rude. It was to the point where I considered going elsewhere. The only thing keeping me there is Dr. Waldman.

Dr Waldman is wonderfully geeky - he is very knowledgeable about eyes and takes the time to explain anything he's doing, as well as things to watch for given your prescription. I've been going to him for a long time and wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone else. With the technology the office has, there are options beyond dilation and air puffs - two of my least favorite parts of previous eye exams. Dr. Waldman was also able to test to see if I was a candidate for laser eye surgery. I'd be remiss if I didn't also mention the rest of the staff - many familiar, caring faces that are also excellent at their jobs!

I have been going to Erie Optical for many years and have had great experiences. Dr. Waldman is always patient and takes the time to explain test results. He has always steered me in the right direction when it comes to my eye site. I have gotten both contacts and glasses over the years and have never had any problems. Because Erie Optical is no longer one of the covered eye doctors in our insurance plan we have been forced into buying our glasses and contacts at other places. In spite of this we have continued to return to Dr. Waldman for our exams and paid out of pocket because of his extreme professionalism, expertise, and great personality. He is well worth the extra money, even on our tight budget. Also, because we have been force to shop around at other places when looking for new glasses we have learned how good we have had it at Erie Optical over the years. I felt like we were visiting a skuzzy pawn shop in when we were shopping at other places. Whenever visiting Erie its always been quite busy and energetic. The selection is great, and there is helpful staff to guide you through the daunting process that comes with frame selection. Dr. Waldman is the best, and you are blessed if you live within driving distance of him.

Dr. Waldman always puts me at ease when I go for my exam. It can be nerve wracking to go to the eye doctor, especially due to my family history of eye disease, but I know I'm in good hands when I go to Erie Optical. He's constantly updating his equipment as technology advances and so now it's even easier to get a thorough exam, now without even needing to deal with getting my eyes dilated. I recently started a new job that doesn't have eye insurance, so I needed to shop around to make sure I got the best price. Not only was Erie Optical still competitively priced for my exam, but my glasses are also significantly cheaper from Erie Optical than the big chain stores. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful whether I'm scheduling an appointment or picking out frames. I would recommend Erie Optical to anyone who is looking for a great experience in eye care.

I have been going to Erie Optical for years now, and it has always been a pleasant experience. Three years ago during a routine exam Dr. Waldman noticed something in my daughters eyes. He recommended we see a specialist. Long story short Dr. Waldman found a serious health problem with my daughter. She hadn't even started exhibiting any symptoms. Because of him we were able to start treatment and avoid any further complications. Dr. Waldman and his amazing staff were a huge support to me and my family during the next year and a half of her treatment. I have been going to Erie Optical for a while now. Let me tell you why, First Dr. Waldman is very thorough, as he examines you he tells you what he is doing and why. Dr. Waldman makes you feel comfortable while you are there, and makes you feel like you are visiting an old friend. The staff is very friendly and helpful in picking out the correct lenses and frames without the pressure of trying to sell you more expensive lenses and frames. His prices are in line with everyone else most often better. Big chains advertise low price glasses. but more often than not when you get there, it is much more expensive than Erie Optical, without the personal service. I have been going to Erie Optical for over 20 years. Dr. Waldman is friendly, thorough, and detected narrow angle glaucoma during my routine eye exam. I m thankful he discovered it, and he referred me to a specialist. The staff is always friendly, helpful and available. I have experienced very little, if any, wait time. The fun part for me is choosing my glass frames with the Office Manager, Connie B. I can count on her honesty, and I value her opinion. We have a good time in the process. I just picked up my polarized, prescription sun glasses, and love them. I was able to choose from the frames in the office and frames from a catalogue that Connie ordered for me. I had many options, and found the perfect pair! I would highly recommend Erie Optical. I give them a 5 star rating.

Every time I go to the Erie Optical Center it is always a great experience. Dr. Waldman is so friendly and knowledgeable, and is always willing to answer any questions. The staff is so friendly and helpful no matter what I need. Picking out frames is so much easier with their wide selection and the help from the staff. Not only do they always provide great care, but it is at a very reasonable price too. It is nice to be able to call and get an appointment set up without having to wait a long time to see a doctor - I have been going Erie Optical for years and I have never had to deal with a long waiting time before I could get an appointment. Plus they have great hours, open late and on weekends, which is great with a busy schedule. I had a fantastic experience getting my contact lenses from Dr. Waldman. I originally went in with an old prescription from another doctor that I just wanted to get renewed. After an exam, Dr. Waldman told me he would gladly renew my present prescription but that he thought he would like to trial a few lenses because he felt he could make my vision better. Well he made it better, much better. I was very thankful that he took the time and effort to help me to see better. His prices are very fair and his counseling is very kind and thoughtful. I've been a patient of Dr. Waldman for nearly 20 years. He is one of the best Doctors I've ever come across - extremely knowledgeable, takes his time and care with each patient, and my prescription eyeglasses are always spot on. His equipment is the latest technology - if you don't like getting your eyes dilated (I don't!) - there is an option to take pictures of the eye instead which is super easy! My husband had some unusual eye problems - Dr. Waldman referred him to a retina specialist and it turns out he has an eye disease that they need to see him every 3-6 months. We're so thankful Dr. Waldman pointed us in the right direction for this condition. His staff is the best too - they always take time to help pick out new glasses and explain everything - it's been the same staff for a long time too - a great group. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else and recommend Dr. Waldman and Erie Optical to all my relatives and friends. If you're looking for an eye Dr. - this is the best. 10 stars!

Because NO ONE compares to Dr. Waldman and his Staff. Dr. Waldman takes his time with you, he explains everything and never rushes. He knows me, knows each member of our family, and their histories. Yes we could have went to another store, and my insurance would have paid for mostly everything, However, you can't put a price on home town service and a doctor who really cares. Not someone who sees you as just another patient. We love Erie Optical and even in this trying economy we are going to continue to go to see Dr. Waldman because he is irreplaceable...
