I have been going to Dr. Kevin Melicher for the past four years. This year my husband decided to go to him as well. We were able to schedule our appointments on line and have them back to back. Both of us needed new glasses so when the appointments were finished we started looking. Of course it took me a little longer than my husband to make a decision. With in one week we had a call that the glasses were in. We are both happy with the service we received from Dr. Melicher and the staff at Eyecare Associates.

Very thorough and easy to work with! Appointment is typically right on the scheduled time, which I really appreciate. Everyone in the office from the front desk to the back is very pleasant as well. The online appointment scheduling and email confirmations are great, and are a big time saver. Not the cheapest place in town to get glasses, but you get what you pay for. Great hours, evenings and weekends available, which makes finding an appointment time that fits your needs so much simpler. Thanks guys!

The receptionist went out of her way to help me figure out what my insurance covered and didn't cover. She also helped me get in ASAP as I recently ran out of contact lenses. I was able to get in within 6 hours of calling for an appointment. The intern that I saw was very intelligent and made it a very comfortable setting. She, even though only an intern, made the eye exam go as smooth as possible and explained anything I didn't understand. Overall it was a great experience for an eye exam. I will definitely refer people here.

All of the staff with whom I interacted were professional, helpful and very solicitous. Making an appointment was quick and they found me a spot within a day of my call. Insurance issues were explained carefully and thoroughly. Most importantly, Dr. Milner provided a very complete explanation of the pictures taken for a diabetic eye exam. He also provided intelligent and useful answers to my questions. Since I live in Florida, the staff provided me with a complete record of tests and professional analysis. If I lived in Fargo, I would be highly inclined to use Eyecare Associates for all my eye are needs.

Very happy with EyeCare Associates, was in a jam because I broke my glasses and needed them for driving and they were able to get me in the next day Very professional job by the Dr. and the associate that helped me pick new frames and lenses that would best work for me. I would not only recommend Eyecare Associates for adults, but also for anyone with children. I started going to them, when my daughter had sunscreen sprayed in her eyes and had trouble seeing clearly, afterward. She was only 2 and they took such good care of her. They were patient and attentive with her, even during her distress. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my own eyecare needs, after witnessing their wonderful care of my daughter.

I have no problem with the care l received at this appointment it was excellent. I do have a problem however having to pay a fee to use a piece of equipment not covered by insurance. As a diabetic, I need to take precautions with my eyes, I feel I should have been told this would not be covered by insurance when the appointment was made as I have never had to pay for my yearly eye exam.

I have been a patient of Eyecare Associates since 1980. The care and concern for the patient is what has kept me coming back. Dr. Melicher has become a friend over the years. I unfortunately am a member of a family with Glaucoma and Immaculate Degeneration of the eyes. Dr. Melicher knows my history well for he has treated my entire family. I have recommend Eyecare Associates to friends and they have found their experience to be a positive one too.

Was assured my Vision Insurance (FEP Blue Vision) was accepted at their location prior to the appointment. Once I arrived, I was told that they did not accept my insurance and that it would be $99 for an eye exam. Obviously, a very poor experience. I hope they do not bait and switch people regularly.

WORST EVER! I would NEVER go back! My exam was done by an intern without my being asked. They got my prescription wrong and insisted that's it's right, when I can't see across the room. I did not take the glasses. They would not preform a second exam within my schedule. The doctor refused to accept responsibility for his intern's mistake! Also, glasses are way overpriced.

Service was fine, but pricing was outrageous. Call around before you schedule. I paid $195 for a contact exam. Others do the same thing for around $120. Also, they added the lenses to my invoice (and billed me) even though I never ordered from them. They did take it off my invoice, but come on.

Loved the experience. They were very adaptive to my limited schedule. When I got there, greeted by multiple people and little to no wait time. Very friendly and informative staff! Was first assisted by an intern who was so eager to answer questions completely. When the Dr came in, I didn't think there was anything else he could provide, but he also provided even more detail to the questions I had. Sometimes the best feeling after leaving a medical type appointment, is simply the feeling of being informed. Thanks!

My employer switched insurance companies and I started to look for another eye doctor that took our insurance. The doctor we had did not. Eyecare Associates was one of the places that did. I also liked the fact that there hours worked great with my schedule as I live out of the area, but travel to Fargo often. There hours give us the option of late afternoon, or weekends. I have had the experience of at least 4 of the doctors between myself and my family. Each doctor has been fantastic, friendly and explains and answers questions. They were even able to get my son in after an emergency. I wear both contacts and glasses and Eyecare Associates has a great variety. They even mail items if need be. I would highly recommend Eyecare Associates in Fargo, ND to anyone.

Have been going here for 10+years. Last 2 years service has really went down hill. Some of the front counter people are rude and act like you are bothering them. I just walked in today and 4 were at the desk but no one greeted me, they all looked at each other to find out who was going to help me. Finally one asked snottly how can we help you? I was very put off by her attitude towards me. I requested our RX and won't be back for anyone in our family.

The store has a wide range of glasses to choose from and the prices are comparable to other stores in the area that I have checked. Eyecare Associates is a well run business that is punctual, polite, and easily accessible. The eye exams are thorough and the doctors are patient while explaining the exam and answering any questions. The selection of frames is good, but could use a little more variety. If Eyecare Associates has the style of frame you are looking for, it is very likely they will have one with just the detail you are looking for.

Staff were rather unfriendly and unhelpful when checking on the status of glasses. Were told 7 days to receive and then it was several days after that still until they actually came in. Will work with another provider next time as they are too slow and not responsive.
