Great service! Awesome selection of designer frames. The staff knows what frames and colors best fit your face. Mike and his staff makes suggestions that you would never consider in both style and color. This is a group that really knows their product. I drive for two hours and consider it time well invested. I have been very very satisfied and highly recommend them if you are looking for different and classy.

This is the best private optician in Durham. I have been in glasses for 47 years and never thought much about who filled my prescription, until I needed progressives. Upchurch knows how to fit progressives better than anyone I have ever been to, and I have been to a lot of opticians. Also, if they do make a mistake, my experience has been that they are quick to own it and fix it. Unlike a lot of optical offices owned by doctors, they do not do an aggressive upsell on frames... but they do have the best selection in town for frames.

I went hoping to find my medicine at a decent price. Not only did they help me do that, I walked into a wonderland of the imagination. It would take me at least 2 days to look through everything and then I probably would spend my medicine money plus more.

Absolutely amazing service! When all seemed lost after my dog chewed up my only pair of glasses (and I was leaving for a very important trip the next morning), Upchurch Optical came to the rescue! Even though they were close to closing, I was immediately helped and they even stayed late to get me fitted for a new pair (and an updated set of lenses)! I am beyond impressed and highly recommend them!

I got plastic frames online but they didn't fit. I went a couple other places and they told me there was nothing they could do, and then I came here and did they not only fit them perfectly, but they did it free of charge! Stand up guys at this place.

I went to the new Sutton Station location after a disappointing trip to Lenscrafters. Upchurch Opticals was amazing! The service was wonderful, the frame selection was just what I was looking for and the whole experience was so lovely. I highly recommend Upchurch Opticals!!

Disappointed. The only thing distinguishing an optical store from an online vendor is service (they certainly can't beat them on selection or on price). Service was pretty disappointing. I had to repeatedly ask for help, and when it arrived, they repeatedly told me that I should look up color and size options online and acted as though it were a hassle for them to do this themselves. After leaving the store, I called back and left a voicemail, enquiring about a frame. Phone call was not returned. Disappointed.
