I usually don't write online reviews, but I had such a great experience during my visit to this eye care center that I felt I should take the time to do so. First of all, the front office staff members were very friendly, and there was no wait time when I arrived. Second, the paperwork process was super easy as all I had to do was fill out one simple form on a computer. Third, Dr. Prajapati took the time to carefully examine my eyes and to answer all of my questions. I never felt rushed, and I had such a smooth appointment from start to finish. I am so glad that I believed all of the other reviews I had read prior to visiting this practice. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone else looking for a new eye doc!

WOW! My daughter had an eye emergency that required medical attention on a Saturday. I called Triangle Family Eye Care and the office was closed, but extension 4 was for eye emergencies. Dr. Prajapati answered my call. He later met us at his office and did a thorough exam and prescribed medication to treat the injury. Dr. Prajapati was extremely nice and professional. I have been going to Dr. Prajapati's practice for three years now. My experiences have been nothing but excellent. Diana was extremely friendly and professional when scheduling my appointment. Dr. P was very thorough and took the time to review my vision history prior to beginning the exam. Since my vision has changed each year, he worked with me until we found the exact prescription. I can’t say enough about the quality of expert care and service I’ve received from both Dr. Prajapati and Eleni at Triangle Family Eye Care! They have all the latest technologies, equipment, and products in the office, which made my exams and follow-ups a breeze. And, they are both so nice and friendly. They provide a casual and welcome atmosphere. Dr. P not only educated me about my particular eye issues, but his expertise in solving my challenging vision needs was remarkable. He is a true professional in his optometry skills. He is up-to-date on the all the latest, especially in the area of contact lenses, where there seems to be new product all the time. And, I’ve never had a doctor actually make a personal call to ask how I am doing, which impressed me even more. But, that’s just how they do things! The optician, Eleni, is a delight with her knowledge of eyewear; and she provided me with several options to suit both my needs and lifestyle. They have quite a selection frames and glasses; there’s a lot of variety from which to choose. I now not only have contact lenses that are comfortable (am wearing dailies, which are great), and glasses that are both fashionable and of good quality. I highly recommend Triangle Family Eye Care and hope this review is helpful to others!

Let me start off by saying, Triangle Eye Care Will now be my permanent eye doctor location. Everyone there is friendly, customer service gets 5 stars! The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because their a bit on the pricey side BUT that’s ok because this place will makes sure to take good care of you. Dr Hiten is a straight forward professional. He gave me his suggestion but didn’t pressure me into buying this or that. He made sure what I had on my eyes were comfortable before I walked out of there. If customer service matters more to you than price then I recommend this place.

Not only does he make sure you have the right prescription, he is also very knowledgeable about insurance costs to let you know what you are paying out of pocket, and he helps to find the perfect frames for you. I chose Triangle Family Eye Care because my husband and son were very satisfied with them. I have been wearing glasses for 40 years and have tried several different offices in the Triangle area. Specifically, for the last few years, I have been unhappy with my no-line bifocals. I assumed it was the nature of bifocals and that I needed separate reading and computer glasses. I also have prescription bifocal sunglasses, for a total of 4 pairs of glasses. This time, I opted for the additional cost of Varilux lenses and I no longer need my single-vision reading and computer glasses - I can use my bifocals for everything! I plan on upgrading my sunglasses next year and believe it is not just the Varilux product, but also the superior care provided by Triangle Family Eye Care for my new prescription and the precise attention taken with my eyeglass measurements.

Went to Triangle Family Eye Care mostly because the location was most convenient and it was in my in-network (BCBS). I called and they were able to fit me in the same day. Dr. Prajapati provided excellent care and his professionalism made the visit very comfortable. The place was clean and although I didn't need to buy glasses this visit, the selection seemed very high-end. I would absolutely recommend to my friends.

This review is for the optical shop only, because that's the only service I've used at Triangle Family Eye Care (Dr. Prajapati has been very friendly and helpful in working with the optician to ensure the lenses are right, I just haven't had an eye exam here yet). A coworker told me that the optician, Eleni Karaganis Gomez, at Triangle Family Eye Care was very experienced and very good. Well, it's true. The Triangle Family Eye Care optical shop provides the personally tailored and guided experience that my wife and I have been seeking. While I've worn glasses for most of my life, I don't know the first thing about actually choosing a good set of frames. The optician, Eleni, was able to immediately assess our face shapes and prescriptions and recommend a dozen glasses for each of us to try out, at a wide range of price points and styles. Eleni's experience was immediately apparent through the speed with which she assembled a great selection of frames. I've had bad frames and good frames, and all the frames she selected were simply good fits for my face and prescription. When I go shopping for eye glasses, I want an optician who makes the visit efficient-- one who understands not only optics, but more importantly style choices. I get lost when I see walls and walls of frames. I don't have hours to browse for frames, and I can't see without my glasses anyways so I can't really tell what looks good or not. Eleni's experience and sense of the customer's style makes shopping for frames fast and productive. Don't let the small shop fool you, the selection of frames is excellent. They've assembled a great collection of diverse frames from a wide range of fashion designers. Other local optical shops I've visited have had very poor selection of very generic-looking frames. If you want super-cheap frames, then this is not the place to go. But if you have trouble finding frames you like, or you've had cheap frames break and are now looking for better quality, then this is the place for you. If there are other customers you may have to wait a little as their staffing is thin right now, but experienced personalized care is well worth waiting for and so very hard to find these days.

While I thought the service was thorough and the selection was wide, I can't get over how limiting their hours are. 8a-1p and 2p-5p M-F. That's it. It's almost impossible for most people to swing by for small things like an adjustment when you have this rigid of operating hours. How are you not open until 6p or open at 7a ONE day per week if you have no weekend hours? Must be a nice place to work considering this schedule...

Finding proper medical care can be tricky, and I found him through my insurance. I've stayed because Dr. P and his staff are wonderful! He's been my doc for over 3 years now. He is very thorough, attentive, and actually cares. I've had eye problems in the past, and because of his competence and knowledge, I feel comfortable and confident regarding my eye health. I recently had conjunctivitis in both eyes, and he really took care of me and my fears. He had my eyes better in record time and kept a hawk eye (pun intended!) on both of them One of the staff members, Elaney, also is great at picking frames that complement my features. I used to sit for hours contemplating on what would work for me. Great location near my home.

Tonight, my wife was working in the garage when she got something in her eye. It was very painful and, after unsuccessfully trying to rinse it out with water, I did a web search for eye doctors that offer emergency after hours service. I found Triangle Eye Care and called the number. I listened to the after-hours message, selected the after hours service prompt and I was connected directly to Dr. Prajapati. As I described that she was experiencing sharp pain, he suggested that we meet at his office. It took us 10 minutes to get there and Dr. Prajapati was already waiting for us. We have never met and we are not one of his regular patients but he took my wife in immediately. After numbing her eye, he was able to locate a small metal shard that was literally buried in her eye. Within minutes, he was able to remove it. And, although it was late and night and the DUKE / CAROLINA game was coming up, he took the time to show my wife the images and provide clear instruction on how to take care of the eye for the next couple of days. We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Prajapati. We are very grateful to have found him.

Two stars for the quick appointment and receptionist. I had to return to office to give them my VSP details. The dr was not happy to see that I had VSP insurance. He also asked me how much I was paying for the VSP once he heard what my co pay was going to be. Needless to say, once that experience happened and seeing their small selection, I decided to order my glasses elsewhere.

Pros: Very Knowledgeable, Quality Oriented, Professional, and Fair Price; Cons: None. As a person who had to rely on prescription glasses (and contact lenes at one point) for more than 40 years, getting the right and comfortable eye glasswares always have been a critical part in my life. After I lost my recently prescribed glasses during a visit to a beach in S.C., I decided to try TFEC not far from my place in Cary this time looking for glasses that I can wear all day long without having much strain in my eyes or headache. During my visit, I noticed that Eleni and Dr. Prajapati at TFEC very knowledgeable in optics and how lens and eyes interact. It was also good to see that both of them were able to listen patiently. The number of frames displayed was small, but most of them were selectively chosen ones that, I think, most of us should not have a problem in finding the right frame that fits into each individual's need. A couple of days after I began wearing the new eye glasses from TFEC, I began having a strain in my left eye. Eleni adjusted the nose support pad which helped reduce the problem. The problem, however, didn't disappear and stayed on. A couple of weeks later, I shared my experience with Dr. Prajapati and he reevaluated everything, again patiently. The best part of my expereince at TFEC starts here. So, three of us, not two, began discussion what next step(s) should be. Dr. Prajapati was confident that it was not an issue of power/prescription, then Eleni continued trouble shootings and concluded that it was more likely lens curvature issue after she measured them. They ordered a new pair of lenses with modifed curvature on the left lens at their expenses. When I wore the corrected glasses, I instantly knew that the problem was gone. The way how both of them doing a trouble shooting definitely exceeded the average standards that I have seen/expected in many "best" places I have been in and out of state and other countries. As a professional who always pursue the highest quality and outcomes, I am very glad to have someone like Dr. Prajapati and Eleni in town. There are many who claim to be the best, but there are very few who are really qualified to be called that way. Both Eleni and Dr. Parjapati are, in my professional opinion, a few of those. Regarding price, it was reasonable, and Eleni was very thorough about the options I could choose for reducing the price before I made a decision. Eleni was also very knowledgeable about insurance policy and helped me save several hundred dollars that my wife and I didn't expect. Overall, my experience at TFEC was really great and I highly recomend this place to all in Triangle.

Update: After discussing the issue with the owner, I am revising my review. On the optometry side, Dr. Prajapati was excellent. He's one of two optometrists that I've been to in my entire life that was able to provide a prescription that actually worked without causing severe headaches. (Yes, I know, it takes time to get used to glasses, but we're talking headaches after months of all-day wear.) The optician side of the house had an excellent selection of popular eyewear from popular brands, and there's no doubt something for everyone.

I am very happy with the care I received. It had been a while since I had seen an opthamologist so treatment had some catching up to do. I found Dr. Prajapati to be thorough and happy to explain his diagnosis. As another reviewer mentioned, their items are on the pricey side, so this is not the place to get discount eyewear. Another positive is that they were quick to refund an overbilled amount directly back to my HSA account. I definitely recommend.

Scheduling was very easy, it was done via email and then when I needed to make a change (to see him same day) they found an appointment for me. The office was clean and professional. First off they got my prescription right on which was awesome but I have always wanted to wear contacts and never really could because I always had issues with seeing well when I would wear them... NOT ANYMORE!!! I have never been to an office where the actually Dr takes the time out of his day to fit me and make sure my contacts fit my eye properly and make sure I can see well! (Edited after the response) - I had issues with my prescription when I got it tested in Jan itself. The prescription given to me was -0.25 higher for both eyes than what it should have been (have proof if you need it). Because of the bad customer service the first time, I went to another doctor to get it fixed. I am giving a review now as I am not someone who goes and puts reviews, but had gotten a call the other day from my insurer asking for feedback and that’s when I thought why not give a google review to help others. Anyways, while I appreciate you getting back, I am happy using services of other optometrist. Worst place with the worst customer service. I would give them a 0 rating if that was an option. I would not recommend anyone to go here unless they want to get a wrong prescription and get fooled into buying/ getting tests they don’t need. Apart from getting a wrong prescription, I was treated in the worst possible manner. The front desk told me and I quote, “You ask to many questions”. Like seriously, I am going to a doctor and if I have questions I would ask to get them clarified. If I did not have a problem with my eye or had questions about my eye sight, why would I even go there. Please do not go to this place unless you want to be treated wrong and get robbed off your money.

I cannot recommend this enough. I have always had issues with eye doctors and being able to get the test where air is blown into your eye to test pressure done. In fact, I had only been able to get one eye completed ever since I started going to the optometrist around 22 years ago. I explained that to Dr. Prajapati, he explained why the test was important and worked with me to get it done very quickly. His staff has grown over the last few years, but they're all very professional and courteous, they just helped me pick out new frames yesterday. Most of their inventory consists of designer brands, but I've found that they're worth the cost. If you want an easy and enjoyable experience at the eye doctor, this is the best place you can choose in the area.

Currently I live in Fuquay-Varina but work in RTP. I have never had an eye exam and wasn't entirely sure what to expect. From the moment I walked in the door I was put at ease. Dr. Prajapati took the time to explain every aspect of the exam from why we were doing it to what it would feel like. Turns out my wife was right... only time that's ever happened... I did need glasses. The transition from eye exam to Eleni the optician was seamless. In no time at all she had assembled a wide variety of options from Oakley and Nike to Banana Republic for me to place on my oddly shaped head. Thanks to her expert advice I was able to find a comfortable pair that will work for me. I've never before felt the need to take the time to write a review. I decided to come here for an appointment after reading the reviews and I'm so glad I didn't go somewhere else! Dr. Prajapati is great! The staff is very courteous and professional. I was getting headaches after staring at a computer screen for hours at work. Dr. Prajapati recommended glasses for looking at the computer screen and he and Eleni both advised that I get an anti-glare coating on the glasses. I didn't even know anti-glare coatings existed! Eleni called me as soon as my glasses came in and she even custom fitted my glasses to my face. She also kept me up to date with the arrival time of my glasses. I don't think I've ever had staff at any doctor's office go as far out of their way to please as Eleni does. She really is awesome. After my experience here I have recommended this practice to nearly everyone I know that wears contacts or glasses. This is the practice to go to even if you have to drive a little bit further, the team here makes it totally worth it.
