Wonderful friendly service. I stopped in on a busy Saturday afternoon with broken glasses. I explained that I was from out of town. They fixed my glasses in five minutes. My son will be attending school here in the Fall. This is where he will go if he needs glasses and/or an exam.

They have state of the art equipment and it's by far the best place in NC to get a check-up and plus; they have the best and latest glasses to choose from. Best Eye Care ever! I have a small face and wanted fun frames; a difficulty to fulfill combination. The C Distinctive team pulled 10 pair of frames for me to try. I get compliments all the time on the ones I chose! BUT it gets better, I brought my prescription from another place. After 2 days of trying the new glasses, I went back and C Distinctive gave me a new exam, NO CHARGE, and a new set of perfectly functioning lenses, NO CHARGE!! How can you not love that experience?

I miss this group! My insurance changed and I can’t afford to go here anymore and it bums me out so badly! Every single staff member has always been so wonderful, friendly and do EVERYTHING they can to help you get you the best deal and gives you all your options without hiding any “hidden costs.” I was really down on my luck (husband left w/o a word, cancelled insurance and cancelled CCs and cleared bank account) at the end of last year, broke my glasses and ran out of contacts. I went in with a slim hope they might be able to help me in some way. The first thing they did was come around the counter, gave me a hug and told me they were sorry and that they’ll figure something out. I’m not one to ask for help and certainly hate being emotional in public but I felt comfortable with all of them, it was safe. They didn’t let me down. I walked out of the office with enough contacts for a month, solution and a contact case all at no cost to me. Granted I’ve been a customer of theirs since the end of 2012 and swore I would never go anywhere else. I know their products can be a little pricey but man is it so worth it to be treated with compassion, empathy, warmth and understanding from the minute you walk in the door. One day when I get back on my feet I WILL be going back there.

I picked out some beautiful Salt frames and progressive lenses— and I hated the lens. Embarrassingly I was not so nice and much to my surprise they took care of my complaint ( just hated progressive lenses). They were so professional and I highly recommend them. Love this place so much that when I moved to the beach 5 years ago, they are the only healthcare provider I did not replace! Recently lost my prescription sunglasses to the bottom of the ocean, picked up the phone and Evan was fantastic! I had my first visit at C. Distinctive Eyewear this week. The front desk staff was very helpful making and rescheduling my appointments, text message reminders were a BIG help! Cameron was knowledgeable and kind when doing my initial exam. Dr. Thompson was sweet and explained all of my tests to me. I didn't have to have my eyes dilated, which I hate, and measuring eye pressure didn't involve getting the puff of air in my eye. They worked with me on finding the right pair of stylish glasses which were affordable! I recommend everyone come here!

This is simply the best place I've found to buy glasses. Yes, you can go the online route, but you don't get to handle them first, and remember, you get what you pay for... I've gotten 3 pairs of frames from them so far (go in for fourth this week!). I get compliments on them daily and I've yet to see them on anyone else. I wanted something that was different and eye-catching, while meeting my vision needs (bifocals). C Distinctive Eyewear helped me accomplish both. C Distinctive has beautiful statement frames that I love but just isn't me for daily wear. They also have gorgeous classic frames that fit me perfectly - all of the frames I have purchased have been classic style with subtle details to make them unique. Always high quality. Eyewear can make or break your face and C Distinctive is the place to go to make you look great.

I have been going there for a while and I have to say they are great there. The staff is friendly and helpful and Dr. Thompson is GREAT. Yes, the prices are going to be higher on many of their frames but they sell quality products. I can run to Wal-Mart for some cheap disposable glasses if needed, but I have every pair of frames I have purchased from them and they are all still in great shape and ready to take lenses. If you fall into the "buy once cry once" or "you get what you pay for" crowd then you will like their selection. Every member of the staff has been great to work with and they have always made me feel like I am the most important patient they have. I've never felt rushed nor have I felt pushed through the process. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else in Winston for my eye care needs.

If you're not worried about spending at least $250 on frames this is a really nice place with some very different styles then other places. The staff is very helpful, informative and will go above and beyond to find what you want. They can order additional colors or styles online or do completely custom frames from high end brands.
