Where do I start. I have previously went to this practice love Dr Newsome had no issues w her staff back in 2014/2015. Well I decided to take me and my 3 kids. Visit went well even though I was moved around twice but nevertheless we go through it. My appt was 11/2. My contacts were supposed to have been ordered this day. Here it is 11/28 and no contacts. And when I went in to pick them up today guess what they were wrong, and they tried to charge me for stuff that I did not ask for. When I questioned why the overcharge...it was bc I had 3 different types of contacts ordered. So the office manager was supposed to call me back. Here it is 3 hrs later no call back, so I called her. Waiting to hear back from them. And guess what I go out of the country in 2 days. Pissed beyond measures. This practice has just lost 4 patients. I will take my business to Walmart. Never had this issue there.

Dr. Newsome is great; instructive and friendly. The entire staff is friendly. The appointments normally run a bit long, but when I was running 10 minutes late, they were flexible. They have invested in lots of tools to make sure to fully evaluate your eyes. They were able to look up my vision insurance, even when I didn't bring my insurance card. You can book your appointment online, which is a feature most other vision centers don't offer.

The only reason I’m giving four and not five is because Dr. Newsome ordered an ultra sound on my eyes. However, the technician Did not know how to work the Machine.

America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses got your best patient after today. I paid $140 for everything. that A.V. office was going to do. A.V. tried to charge me $335... Not! This offices fell off so much in 15 years ripping people off it's not the answer to getting ahead. I will not be bamboozled for contact exam, eye exam and a contact lens fitting $335 that's a joke! Now I understand why your old employees was stealing, oh yeah is because I no longer have Medicaid....right! My Medicaid never paid for contacts and if so you obviously wasn't telling me cuz you was still getting my Cash.

I thought the Dr. Newsome was great. What i have an issue with is even with insurance this place is very expensive. They will charge you copays upon copays and render services that you are not covered for so they can send high bills. My daughter's PD was not measured correctly. Then when i went back and they realized it was wrong they gave her a new pair of glasses but they were lopsided and did nkt fit her face right. The doctor is good but bc of the expensive service and the eye center could not get the glasses right i will not go back. Thank God i knew to measure her pd so she would not end up cross eyed.

This place is on point! One of the best eye exams I have ever had. I went to America's Best last year because my old OD works there now. The wait was long and the exams were nowhere on the level of what I experienced here. My appointment was at 9:45 and I arrived 7 minutes early to fill out paper work. Right on time, I was taken back and my exam began. The technician explained every test and made sure every piece of equipment was clean. By the time I was ready to be seen y the physician, the wait was less than 3 minutes after I was seated. She was kind,concerned and personable. Perhaps the reviews about front desk staff and other issues have been resolved because I experienced NONE of that today. I sent my hubby last week and he is a harsh critic. If the service was poor, he would have told me and I wouldn't have gone today. The price for their wellness exam for those without insurance is very reasonable and their eyeglass selection is up to date. Make your appointment today!

I had an extremely disappointing experience. My visit expectations was not clearly communicated amongst the team which lead to charges and exams, I didn’t agree to. My glasses took 3 months to get for which I had to make various calls to the office to inquire about. I didn’t receive any calls about my visit or glasses with updates. I called to talk about my concerns and never heard back. I do not intend to visit again or refer others to this office.

I am patient at the doctor's office because I understand that they sometimes need to take more time with some patients in order to offer the care tat those patients need. Here I was frustrated that I had to wait long several times, or that the doctor was not there when I came in for a follow up appointment. On two separate occasions, the doctor left the room and then had me ushered away by one of her assistants which means that 1. she never discussed what she thought was the problem I was experiencing and 2. she didn't have the common courtesy to greet me. I had extensive tests done and nobody discussed the results with me. I had to ask for the results and bring them up with the doctor. I found this interesting because in my client notes the doctor had stated that she had discussed everything with me and that there were no questions. She left the room without giving me any indication that our consultation was over, I had no chance to ask questions or receive clarification. Some of the staff were extremely friendly, sweet, and helpful. Update: I received 2 copies of the same statement in the mail and called to ask for the other outstanding 1.I was told it was on it's way. Called again just over a week later, was told they would mail it. Called again a few weeks later and was told they will email it within 10 minutes, didn't receive it. Just had to go in and get it in person to get it. Nothing is perfect and so I expect hiccups but this place is bizarre overall.

Worst eye doctor experience I've ever had!! Her office staff is a complete mess, they have no idea what they're doing. One lady dilated my eyes when she wasn't suppose to, Dr Paula seemed nice at first, but when I asked her about Lasik surgery she laughed in my face and then told me I wasn't a good candidate. She insisted in putting contacts in my eye instead of letting me do it which caused her to keep poking my eye until it was all red then she finally let me do it. They also said they would order my contacts and told me it would be a week before they came, 3 weeks have passed, I have called twice, the 1st time the lady said it would be another week, called again today only to find out they haven't even ordered my contacts yet because of insurance complications, I asked her when did she find this out and she said it was at the beginning of the month, so why is it the end of the month and no one said anything to me and I had to call to find this out?? Terrible service!!

I was a first time patient and I was referred here. I walked in & I was not greeted at all,no one was in site at receptionist area for ten minutes. After someone actually showed up, she stated for me to just have a seat.I’m confused because I had yet to be greeted properly and she didn’t ask for my name, insurance,& not even to sign in. My appointment was at 1030, I wasn’t seen until 1130am. When all techs got to the front area, everyone was running around all over and it was clearly chaos!!! The Hispanic tech was rude, when she started with the test and procedures, she barley wiped down and sanitized equipment. The one that she actually did wipe down she immedenitly wanted me to put my face and eye near something freshly sanitized and wet? I didn’t see Dr Newsome, which was the only reason I chose this practice. I have a rare eye condition and asked speciafically when setting my appointment would I see her, which was not the case. The dr that I saw was nice but her knowledge of my condition was basic and I felt like she was rushing me. I figured out why I was being rushed, because on fridays aparently they close early. I’m a first time contact wearer and was instructed to get on YouTube to see how to take out and put in!!?? Instead of someone taking the time out just to show me.Then the same rude tech was instructed to set my next appointment and help me find a pair of glasses. I looked for glasses for about 10 minutes and she asked me if I wanted to come back because they would be getting a new shipment with “cheap frames” and what I’d be interested in that ???????? Very thrown off by that response so I reminded her that I needed to set an appointment because “she forgot”. Visit wasn’t personable at all, it wasn’t quality care just people going through the motions and treating you like a routine, on top of rushing you off and not taking the time to do anything right!! Haven’t had a horrible expirence like this before! But it want happen again because I want be back!!!!!

I didn’t know how important it was to have medical testing eye examinations when you have health issues. I’ve gone to several places for exams and had never heard of such. Dr Newsome took her time to explain why each text was done, and showed me the scans, pictures and results of all the test. Wow!
