The best decision I ever made was to walk into the MOSCOT on West 14th Street that foggy fall afternoon. I only spent about 5 minutes inside. The moment I walked through the door, Roger gave me a once-over, and recommended the sage frames. I knew these were the frames I wanted to see the rest of my days through. I still wear them and think about Roger. What's it like for him out there?

I give them -4 stars, especially for Lee. Came in to get my $300 Moscot frames adjusted. The temples were loose, which I told him. Lee puts my eyeglasses on a hot pot. After he was done I told him the temples were still loose. Lee hands me tools and says, "Here you go." I spent $300 to be told I need to fix my own glasses, basically. Moscot is a complete joke and it's such a shame because I liked their frames. Customer service is very poor so I won't be returning, especially not for the unprofessional associate named Lee.

Not appreciative when there’s a customer interested in buying a product. While I was speaking to the salesman Jose, he was having a casual conversation another coworker regarding a YouTube video that’s irrelevant to what I was buying. Love their products but if there’s no respect to their customers then I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Great frames, better staff: everyone was super helpful and friendly. Justin however was a god-send. My frames broke and I went in with an attitude and Justin was incredibly nice the entire time and got the glasses repaired the NEXT DAY. Do yourself a favor go to this store, try on some frames and ask for Justin.

Bought a pair of funky shades here last month on the recommendation of my friend. The staff was super helpful and patient with me while I tried on every pair in the store. They got the sale because they were so cool. Good vibe, good staff, great glasses.

The staff are incredible and super sweet. Moscot's warranty program however is utter crap. it's supposed to be a 100% guarantee for 1 year. my glasses frame (supposedly titanium) broke within 3 months. They replaced the frame. The glasses scratched horribly within 6 months. They replaced the lenses. The Frame broke again, they no longer made my frames and said they'd replace just the arms with a similar, though not matching pair. it was hideous. when my frames broke for a 3rd time within 8 months they just said, sorry we can't help you anymore. i spent over $800 for what I thought was a quality local product. I will NEVER buy anything from moscot again.

Great selection, service and atmosphere. Moscots cost a bit more than many other brands, but can last you a lifetime given their build quality and timeless style. Highly recommend.

The glasses are all slightly "off," and I mean that in the best possible way. Nothing quite mainstream about them. And the staff is very helpful and, I believe, honest. When something doesn't look good, my salesguy said "Let's try these, instead." Yeah, a bit pricey but they're glasses. And sunglasses that they'll polarize the lenses for you (again, pricey, but I'm spoiled and only wearing polarized lenses now).

Amazing. I now own 4 frames from Moscot and I try to get a new pair each year. My oldest pair is 5 years old and they are still in amazing condition. Great customer service. Ask for Justin if he is in, was extreamly helpful. The entire team really values their customer base.

Great store. Their glasses are pretty cool and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful - they all seem to enjoy working there, which translates into enthusiasm and genuine customer engagement. I honestly never thought eye care would actually be kinda fun. The opticians are terrific too. My uncorrected vision is unusual and they really took the time (e.g., several rounds of test contact lenses) to make sure my prescription was right. And they stick with you - I’ve had a number of issues crop up since I started going there and they always fit me into the schedule quickly to take care of it. I could not recommend them more highly.

I have shopped online for my favourite Miltzen sunglasses from Australia over the past decade and when in NYC in 2015 was very excited to pop into the store to pick up another pair. The service was very smart, friendly and helpful. A great experience. Since coming back to Sydney I have made a further purchase on line and the process was super easy with prompt attention to my email regarding my correct size.(thank you for having my details on your system) The glasses arrived in perfect order and in super quick time. Outstanding customer service! Moscot made me a pair of prescription sunglasses. After wearing them for several months, I decided something just wasn't right. I suspected the prescription, but was told by my non-Moscot optometrist that the difference between my new prescription and my old one was negligible. So I took everything back to Moscot. They examined my sunglasses, found nothing wrong, and told me they disagreed with my optometrist. The prescription was to blame. They then offered to make new lenses from my old prescription at no charge!!! A week later—problem solved! I can't thank you enough, Moscot!

BEST. I love my usual optometrist & was planning on getting lens replacements / glasses there, but stopped by here with a friend & OH MY GOD. Best glasses, surprisingly reasonable prices, knowledgeable employees with killer taste: Eric was awesome, found me frames that are a *huge* change but look excellent & get piles of compliments (& I felt confident going with one of his recommendations because *his* glasses suit him super well). They also give you a great tote bag, stylish enough that you'll be happy to serve as a walking billboard even if you aren't evangelical about the place.

THE place to get glasses in New York with one of the best selection. After multiple interactions the staff has always been super helpful and they never push you to buy or try to sell the most expensive glasses. Love it ! And if you have prescription glasses check their clip-on sunglasses! With these, no more second pair of glasses needed !! And they look great...

Excellent products and service: the frames are sophisticated, the eye exams outstanding. I wear both glasses and contact lens and every year I go for my eye exam. However, I do not recommend you buy your contact lens there, for they cost 75% more than Walgreens or any other large pharmacy. Nevertheless, for frames, eye exams and prescriptions Sol Moscot it the place to go.

I can't say enough good things about this place, I was in NY for a short time during new years, I stopped by on Dec.29th and I was leaving on Jan.1st, they actually had my prescription spectacles ready by the 30th! I also cant say enough good things about my Miltzen T's, I get compliments every time I meet someone new! Nobody knew Moscot in my native El Salvador, but now they do ;)

My whole family purchases their glasses at Moscot. While there are a lot copycats out there, Moscot's are the original. If you like a trendy but retro look, I highly recommend buying your glasses there. They never go out of style, are very well made and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Certainly beautiful and stylish products they have, but you have to be very patient until you get a chance to try them on. Because the shop is very busy and you almost certainly have to wait a while to be served. Staff can be a bit snobbish, though appear calm and cool. Some of them can serve multiple customers at once, but some can only do one at a time. I tried to get attention from the one who seems to prefer one customer at once, I never got served by him. Then once I was served by the one who can do multi customers, she got snatched away too easily, and I gave up on this game. I came all the way from London on 2 separate trips wanting to buy their products, but I got the same experience on both occasions. Obviously, they still haven’t got my business.

Do not use cash to make purchases at Moscot. The return policy only allows exchanges when paying cash. If you pay using a card they will issue you a refund. Customers who use cash and are unhappy will be forced to accept store credit. Seems like the return policy is as old as the brand.

Moscot Summary: I would recommend this place. Great customer service. Super friendly. Glasses are pricey (average $250 and up for frames) but it’s worth not looking like everyone else. I needed custom lenses and it took less than a week to get my new glasses. Long story: my mom is an optician and so I‘ve never had to pick out or buy glasses myself. Justin (one of the licensed opticians) was helpful and informative. I picked out a pair of clear glasses (I know cliche) but these were not the typical Warby-Parker-every-lesbian-in-Brooklyn shape. I am so glad they changed locations and that I decided to check them out. It was more than I had plan on spending but 100% worth every penny.

I already knew which frames I wanted to have when I walked into Sol Moscot a few weeks ago. My husband and I had been using the Orchard Street shop since 1977. Now, my family and I use Moscot on 6th and 14th. Moscot is family, too. Arthur retrieved the frames, looked at my most recent prescription, took a few measurements and promised their delivery by the 8th. Today is the 8th. The glasses just arrived – perfectly ground and fitting very well. Thank you again, Sol Moscot, for your attention to detail and yet another pair of distinctive Sol Moscot eyewear!

Best service in NYC, I don't feel like I got scammed when I leave the store. Justin is great. I can buy those frames in Montreal or on the internet but I prefer to buy them at this store when I go to visit friends. I never bought the lenses yet, but I'm pretty sure they are great too. Each time the offer me the possibility to do it in a rush because I'm only there for a few days. If I leave my wife one day, it's going to be for Moscot.

Their new location on 6th Ave was open for about 6 weeks before I went in on a Tuesday morning around 11:30. I walked in and the store was empty except for me. I saw 3 employees sitting in the center doing nothing but looking at a 4th person who was on the phone and perhaps was the manager. Nobody said hello. Nobody stood up at ask if I needed help. Nobody cared enough to even try. I walked around and tried on frames. Each frame had a massive security device to stop theft. I couldn't even try on frames with this silver dollar sized device weighing it down. I looked at each employee and now they gazed at their phones and the 4th was still on the phone. If I could get the devices off, then I could see how the frames fit without being off balance but hey, Facebook during work is more important for them then being a retail sales person. I picked out a 1200 dollar frame and lenses at my Opthamologist's office and ANYTHING cheaper would have been a quick easy sale. But horrible service means I walked out and could go to 40 other places within 10 minutes of 14th and 6th Ave. Oliver Peoples is stealing your market share for a good reason. YOUR FRAMES ARE PEDESTRIAN AT BEST and your customer service is nonexistent. You paid a fortune to design an amazing space and then staffed and stocked with lack luster products and people. Call your interior decorator and get some advice on fashion-forward frames, which are unique. Then call a staffing agent and replace your team....or not. There are 15 other places within a couple blocks and 40 within 10 minutes.

The only good thing about this place is customer service, at least they do the best they can with what they have. I bought a nebb frame here a little over a year ago, and it has now turned white and is completely dried out. I brought it in to see what can be done about it, and all I'm told is that this is due to the sweat and oils from my skin. When I purchased this frame I paid 250$, and now this piece of "high quality Italian plastic" is just too embarrassing to even wear outside. Luckily for me I still have my vintage pair of glasses (I won't mention the brand) from the 70's that still look great and in perfect conditions. There is absolutely no way that I have somehow abused my pair of moscots in one year more than my other ones (real Italian plastic) in 40 years. I guess I only sweat when I wear moscot frames. To me it seems that this is just a cheaply made chinese frame with a 250$ pricetag. Stay away.

A few months ago I bought sunglasses while on vacation. They simply did not fit and needed to be adjusted. I went by Moscot and asked if they could help me. They first acknowledged that my glasses were in fact really cool and without hesitation made them fit me perfectly. My boyfriend buys all his glasses and sunglasses there and I knew their service is outstanding. I highly recommend Moscot!!!
