I've actually been going here for YEARS!!! My experience with them has always been great, then again I'm the type of consumer that respects policies and procedures. I remember there was a time that I was confused about the insurance policy concerning eyewear coverage, and THEY helped me sort it out. Honestly, I don't feel that's their obligation, because they could've just given me what I was "due" but they helped me understand how to get more bang for my buck. Dr. Nguyen is so amazing. She's always such a pleasure to visit and is very much concerned with your eye health. She recommended I see a specialist for what appears to be the start of glaucoma, and pushed me on the matter until I actually saw one. I'm the type of person that needs constant reminders, which she did, even though I don't feel that is her responsibility which makes me appreciate her so much more. My experience here has always been excellent.

My family has been going to their Madison Avenue location for years. Great selection, they accept insurance, always have wonderful doctors to do your eye exam and Raisa is amazing at helping us all find the most perfect frames. We love Grand Central Optical.

Dr. Tsai is an incredibly nice, helpful and thorough doctor! She walked me through everything I needed to know, and took plenty of time to make sure I was 100% comfortable with my prescription. What a nice place - rest of the staff was also extremely welcoming and accommodating. 10/10!

Efficient and excellent customer service! Dr. Tsai was very thorough and detailed. Jordan, one of the front-end staff, not only helped me pick out a set of frames within my budget, but also went above and beyond to answer all the questions I had! Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic shop for glasses. The frame of my glasses broke and I came into the store with a frame I had bought from Amazon. They changed the frame in 5 minutes. and the best of all is that they did not charge me! the best service I've ever had in a store of glasses!

AWFUL! I called 2 HOURS after getting the OVERPRICED glasses receipt, with no mention of a NO CANCELATION policy and was rudely told by the manager that I was being unreasonable. I was promised a call back which never came. This morning, on my way out, I received a message from the same manager that "the policy was no refunds" and that they had "already been processed". I will get my money back through my credit card company, so they might want to rethink "the policy" because I have no intention of walking back into this rip off place where I was spoken to like this by a "manager". Unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs!

Customer service is great here. I needed a last minute appointment, and there were able to accomodate me; also, when they couldn't get through to my insurance company to verify my coverage, they still went ahead and gave me my checkup since I had been patiently waiting for the service line to pick up. Dr. Nguyen was very thorough in my exam, and gave me several suggestions about eye care that other doctors never bothered to take the time doing.

DO NOT GO THERE! Worse experience we ever had! A very rude employee (an older guy with a mustache) was very unprofessional. He humiliated and disrespected my mother out of nowhere. I will NEVER go there again!

I loved how helpful the staff was in helping me pick the frames that were right for me. The store has all the options you can imagine in a wide variety of prices. The appointment was prompt. The doctor was friendly and very informative, answering all my questions and ensuring I knew exactly what was happening through the entire visit. Overall, stellar experience. I will continue to go to Grand Central Optical for my annual appointments.

Just got back from Grand Central optical and had a GREAT experience. The staff were friendly and were extremely flexible and patient with me when I was unsure of my vision insurance provider (new job!). They checked several databases and finally found my provider after playing several rounds of trial and error. They were determined that I get the best deal. Dr Ann Nguyen was quick, helpful, polite and clearly very smart. She was able to determine & write up my new rx for both contacts and glasses with 30 minutes.
