This particular Stanton Optical is pretty great when it comes to the customer service. Both Déja and Trisha were very helpful during my visit. With their help, I found out that I needed a pair of glasses more than I thought I did. Overall I’m satisfied with my new pair of glasses!

Was informed they no longer have an optometrist that can perform eye exams after showing up for my appointment. No clue why they let me schedule it in the first place. Edit: Went back a second time and the SAME THING HAPPENED. Girl at the front was especially rude this time and told me they called and cancelled all appointments but I never received a call and she wasn't willing to rectify the situation. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE.

HORRID!!!! No way to get a good accurate prescription with a videoconference eye exam! I went here and felt like I was at a car sales place. Went in for 59.99 two pair of glasses to be told it would be 455$!!! So i paid for my exam and left with my prescription and went to Americas Best and had the most wonderful experience andddd to find out my prescription way wayyy different and I need bifocals AND I was at risk for glaucoma and should seek further measurments!! NEVER EVER WILL I GO THERE AGAIN!

This was the most unprofessional place that I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I went there with my co-worker after work. The tech that works there did not care to introduce herself or explain what she was doing to my eyes. I was so lost and confused. She did NOT clean the equipment when I sat there. She did NOT clean the equipment for my co-worker either and she was told to (stop moving!) during the initial evaluation. I informed them over the phone that I needed to be fitted for lenses and get my yearly exam and the guy over the phone told me it was no problem. The rude tech was in shock that I needed to be fitted for my lenses and told me it is "not happening" because there is no optometrist on site since it was 6 PM. Oh and I got my eye exam done over Skype! This was truly cringe worthy experience!!! Do yourself a favor and go to Costco to be treated with the respect you deserve. *Stanton I highly recommend re-evaluating you employees who aid in the eye exams. That employee was too rude and aggressive.

Wow best Customer service. After window shopping at other optical companies and I came to Stanton. Trisha LaRoque listened to my request and within 5 minutes she found the lightest and the color of glasses I wanted. She also helped me with my care credit and I will have my glasses soon. I have never experienced a nice quick and professional Customer service like today with Trisha.


Had to go twice and get my husbands eye glasses fixed. Waited over an hour and half with an appointment. Rude employees, to your face and over the phone. Customer service is non existent here. I watched several customers tell the manager how terrible their service was a walked out. The manager smirked and didn't offer an apology.

I don't usually bother with negative reviews but what I just went through was so insane I have to warn others. On December 29th, 2018 I went in to Stanton to place an order for contacts. After providing the type of contact I wanted and my insurance information I was told that everything was set and I would be called when the contacts were in. Fast forward 2 weeks: I called to check on the status of the order and after having to call 5 different times after being put on hold for 5+ minutes I was finally told that they had no record of an order ever being placed. This was odd but ok, I understand mistakes happen. However, then the guy who had helped me place the order on the 29th calls me back to tell me that he doesn't recall helping me place this order and the mentions that they have Medicaid on my file as my insurance.... problem is, I don't have Medicaid for insurance! So they have somehow mixed up my personal information with someone else's personal information and when I brought up my concern with this he casually says" well maybe there was a mix up with information when we changed systems". ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Not to mention that during all this I was never offered a solution nor did I get the feeling that he cared whether this situation was corrected. I feel like I'm in an episode of the Twilight Zone. Save yourself the frustration and do not go here.

Seemed to be. Good place but then called for status on glass pickup..standard glasses for me but two weeks? They best place to work for employees but it is not for customers. When I called...30 minutes on hold. Followed by 30 minutes on hold followed by call to nationwide number..transfer to another hold after asked for manager. Update..still on hold for another 30 minutes so DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS..BEEN TO LOTS OF PLACES AND NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS BAD BY GLASSES SHOP..THEY ARE JUST AS EXPENSIVE AS OTHERS BUT RUDE AND THEY ARE SET UP NOT TO ANSWER QUESTIONS EVER. JUST PUT YOU ON HOLD TILL YOU HANG UP. Update: glasses did come in on time they were polite on our return. But prescription was wrong in left eyepiece of wife's and my glasses. So..if you need glasses going to Walmart for better glasses and prescriptions would be good idea..that's where we are going maybe save money also.

The staff were friendly, but the price I was quoted for single vision sunglasses and clear glasses was not even close to the advertised two pairs for $59. I was given an estimate of $395 and this was with their cheaper frames. The previous year I paid $247 for two pairs at Stanton Optical. This year I decided to do some comparison shopping. Took my prescription to Costco and brought home non-glare sunglasses and clear glasses, both in nice frames, for under $240. Major discrepancy there.

Everything was great but feeling like, in my case at least, it's taking FOREVER to get my glasses back. But the people there are very friendly helpful and professional. Also checking your order status doesnt do any good... I think it says your order is being processed in our lab until they are basically ready to be picked up. No real update like "your order has been shipped to store location"

Yvette and geena have the most amazing customer service that I've seen in a while company's have lost that touch but not this one Fast friendly and efficient place to go if your on a budget and need glasses ASAP this is the place to go!

RUN away from this place!! If I could select negative stars, I would. They said they accepted all major insurances and would even honor out of network. Not once, was I told they would submit a claim to my insurance for the full amount which was taken from my yearly vision allowance that I usually use for my contacts. They charge $89 for the contact exam, I paid my $55 copay yet they still filed a claim for $90 to my insurance. I am out $145. Plus I can no longer have enough for a box of contacts in my yearly insurance allowance. When I called corporate, the CS rep. Catherine was just like oh well..which prompted me to do a google search. They have so many complaints and lawsuits, it is crazy. AOA AND SEVERAL other newspapers have written stories on them and the attorney general has even filed a lawsuit on them. So heed my advice RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE. FaLSE ADVERTISING!!!

My frame died today...So I needed new glasses...I was able to make an appointment here right after work, I waited maybe 2 minutes for the exam and then another 15 or so for Trisha to work on my lenses after the exam. 10/10 would eyeglass again!

To be honest in regards to advertising, it’s misleading to say BOGO free plus free eye exam *but you have to pay for your prescription and the frames are ridiculously expensive. The only good part about my whole experience was how determined Jazmin and Trish were to figure out the best way financially to get me a pair of glasses. JAZMIN IS THE ONLY REASON WHY I HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY. She’s a doll and was super helpful and sweet.

UPDATE: I was overcharged by one of the staff when I told her I only wanted to do an eye exam instead of purchasing my glasses here. This person confidently said that it was $101.65 for the eye exam, only for me to find out after I go home to do a quick research that it was only $45. I called this branch to let them know what had happened only for me to be told that I needed to file a formal complaint and I was put on hold for a long time before deciding to hang up because I was wasting my time. Ultimately it wasn’t this branch that helped me out with my predicament. I believe it was corporate that called this location after I had posted a review on Google. Of course, I emailed their Customer Service line as well because I wanted to make sure this gets resolved. Two of the staff members ended up calling me after a couple of hours to help me with the overcharging issue and I eventually received my refund for the difference. If you are looking for a Stanton Optical, please look elsewhere. It doesn’t look good when you get overcharged for something as basic as an eye exam which all staff members should know the price of.

Went to get glasses for my wife, they were fast and offered better options for better prices. Wife broke her glasses and had great service, nobody tried to trick her with expired warranties or anything. I broke my wifes new glasses a week later, took them in, and had them fixed immediately. Cost an amazing 3 dollars. They even realigned and cleaned them, and gave us a better carrying case. Trisha, Deja, and Lani all were incredibly helpful and nice. Just found out my son needs glasses, we will be going here from now on. :)

If only I can leave a 0, I would. We were there today and the guy that assisted us first was very nice. We were happy with the frames we chose. But when we picked them up, my glasses looked very cheap looking, have dirt from the cutting of the lens, and it didn't look even. They were even left wet inside the storage. So I went back in, and this lady that assisted us tried to clean it and the lenses have small scratches too. She kept saying it was fine and she doesn't see anything wrong with them. And since I paid $328 for 1 pair of glasses, I expected them to be great quality. It was just an anti-glare glasses. I was willing to pay that much. But the quality was just not good. I asked if we can return, she said that the manager left for the day. I asked if I can leave the glasses with them, she replied we cant just leave them laying around there they might get lost. What do you do with the glasses that needs picking up then? Leave them just laying around? Really bad customer service. She just seemed so annoyed with us. If you aren't too happy helping us, then why work there? I'm very disappointed. For a new pair of glasses, even no cloth came with it to wipe the lenses. My glasses didn't even contain corrections. Maybe I just expected too much from the cost of it. Too bad this place can't deliver.

I had a wonderful experience with Staton Optical Corrales location. All staff I encountered were extremely helpful, courteous, and very knowledgeable at their job. My nervous toddler was getting glasses for the first time and employees Jennifer and Ivan went above and beyond to make my child comfortable and make our appointment as smooth and as quick as possible. No matter how busy these two employees were they made sure to answer all my questions and constantly checked to see if we were okay. I would highly recommend Staton Optical for your optical needs. Very affordable and well trained staff.

After seeing some bad reviews on here, I have to speak up! I had an excellent experience at Stanton Beavercreek! My first visit was an eye exam and the two pairs of glasses (one pair was sunglasses). They had great deals and I think I spent about $200 total for both pairs and the exam. You can decide how you feel about that price. The doctor was really funny and so kind. I just had my second visit yesterday for contacts and I was really nervous. I got my exam, solution, and a 2-week supply of contacts for $80. This doctor was HILARIOUS and even though (long story short) they were slammed, he took his time with me and acted unphased. They are such nice people. Cherie helped me with my contacts and she was so sweet and made me feel comfortable and calm and not rushed. They all make you feel like you're the only customer in there all day. I would recommend this location to any of my friends and family.

Went in for a contact exam/fitting, they didn't try very many pairs, only one. The contacts they prescribed for me have gave me constant redness and irritation. I have astigmatism in my left eye and when I have a contact in there it hurts pretty bad, the doctor said "Well, this is what he wants" and "You won't be able to tell the difference" if I knew what I wanted I wouldn't have came in to ask a doctor. I would have gladly paid extra if the doctor had told me that I would need a toric fit. It was a complete waste of money, time and a lot of frustration. I have been using contacts all of my life off and on and have never had a negative experience until this.

Kudos to the caring, attentive, and professional staff. My young adult grandson purchased 2 pair today. He has Tourette’s and his vocal and motor tics were prominent while we were in there. Karen took care of us, and she treated him with the utmost respect. She didn’t give even the slightest hint that the repetitive slamming of his elbow on her desk, or his uncontrollable sounds, or his head/neck jerking bothered her in the least. It is uncomfortable for him to go out in public, and her calm demeanor really held his anxiety at a minimum. She helped him choose a second pair, and answered all of his questions. Plus a great price for 2 pair! I highly recommend this location for eyeglasses!

Andrew is fantastic. Super nice and great attitude. But the two stars are for the fact that they gave my glasses to the wrong patient! Now I have to wait again for them to remake my prescription and someone else is out with my glasses on! On top of that the person they gave my glasses to, the only similarity to our name is the First and Last initial. Does Emerald seriously sound like Emily?! Apparently they need to get their employees eyes checked. But again I will say that Andrew was excellent and had a great attitude.

Went in to see about a repair on some frames that I had damaged. Karen, the GM, was absolutely wonderful. Helped me get a pair of replacement frames on the spot. Wound up purchasing into the frame club to get four pairs under $99 for only $30-$40 altogether. Ordered new lenses as well. Great spot. Amazing service. Definitely would recomment to anyone looking for a great deal.

I had a wonderful experience at Stanton Optical. I ordered two pair of no line bifocal with transitions and anti-reflective coating. They are great. I love both frames and the vision is great. The staff was very helpful and nice. I got both pair at an awesome price. I received both pair in three weeks like they said. I do not think three weeks is to long to wait. I know a lot of optical offices take three weeks. I have been in the optical business for many years in the recent past, so I know how it works. They also did a great job at adjusting them.

Don't go here. My exam was at 1240, I didn't leave until 230. I'd scheduled a contact and glasses exam, only received the contacts exam and prescription from an overly confident older man. My exam consisted of me looking through three different lenses, him asking what my current contact power was, and him guessing/confirming it. I asked about my glasses prescription, he said they'd get me set up out front and they didn't. Just passed along my contact prescription which I already knew. I'd expressed concern about papillary conjunctivitis recurring, he didn't express any concern or offer to look. While watching other patients experience's, people were in and out of the exam room disrupting what I'm sure was already a subpar experience. The other patients and I were juggled from room to room to wait. There was no one at the desk when I walked in to get me signed in and set up - the front desk is not in the front either, adding to the confusion. Amazingly though, even without a glasses exam, they were still trying to push their glasses on me. But reading other reviews, I'm going to avoid that at all costs.

Amanda was working at the Evansville location today. I apparently have a high perscription in my left eye leaving me pretty much blind in that eye. I'm panicking because I'm on a fixed income and I can't find any frames I like for the $59 deal. I had almost given up and went with very gawdy frames but she told me it would take 10 days to get my glasses done and that was not acceptable for my safety. I pick up my 2 pairs of glasses tomorrow with a smile on my face knowing I can see again. She is awesome and very friendly! I would give her 10 stars if possible.

Poor customer service AFTER they have your money. My eye exam was very nice. They were helpful. But after I paid them, it felt like I wasn't good to them anymore. They got what they wanted which was my money. They didnt give me my perception. When I called for it The lady stated you dont have it? well why didnt you ask them for it? I replied with I didnt think I was supposed to ask for stuff like that. I've never had glasses. They should've automatically given it to me. They tried to fax it but wasn't working. They said its something on my end and not their end and there isn't anything they could do, but I've sent and received numerous amounts of faxes that day from other companies. Finally, they said it was their end and said for me to come in that there isnt anything they can do, and they dont know when it would be fixed. What kind of company says that to a customer? I'll tell you what company, a company that only sees dollar signs. If they truly cared they would have helped me out. Taken my information and called me when it was fixed. I am not a life customer there I will never recommend them. Things would be different if they said it was our fault we will keep you updated on when we get things fixed. Or simply mail me my perception. So, after two and a half weeks I waited, gave them time before I posted this to see if they would called me with an update but never did. So, I went in got my perception and asked when the fax was fixed. The lady replied about two weeks ago. Why didn't they fax it to me, or get in touch with me knowing I needed this? Very poor customer service. Save the trip and dont come here. I will never recommend this company and I will never come here again.

I will be a life customer now. I am in the process of adopting a 15 year old girl. She has many eye problems (and has had many surgeries starting as a toddler) so glasses are a must for her. She has been needing glasses for almost 3 years but her birth mother never took her. It got to the point her glasses were being held together by duct tape and needed them asap. I took her to Stanton because of the b1g1 with a free exam. I order my glasses online so I never have had to do this whole process. The total was much more than I was expected, I expressed my concern and suggested I would just order them from the same site that I use. Macia (i think was her name?) went above and beyond to make sure that I would get a even better deal for my daughters glasses than I would ordering them online. I am beyond grateful that she was that committed to her customers and the service they provide. That was not something she had to do. Thank you so much!!!!

Sorry to provide a poor review but I must. A friend referred me to Stanton prices. I come from Hamilton, Ohio and am Very Dissatisfied... My husband and I have purchased 6 pair of glasses. Glasses took longer to arrive as promised. Had to make multiple trips there to have correction's made for fitting. My husband sun glasses broke the second time he wore them. Took them back for repair and they looked his lenses into a pair they had on the rack. Like a fool I ordered 2 pair of sunglasses and as expected they were made with someone else's prescription and with no Tint...still waiting for them to arrive. They put a rush on them 3 weeks ago. I guess my expectations of a Rush order is different than Thiers.

This is the worst optical place I have ever been in over 50 years of purchasing glasses for my family. Told us glasses would be done in 4 days and it took 2 weeks. Horrible customer service. Person who was supposed to fit glasses never came out from behind the counter! We didn't even have chairs to sit on & we are seniors. She took 2 phone calls, talked to the UPS delivery man and in the meantime took 15 minutes to replace a screw that was wrong. She never touched the glasses to adjust them on the face, just kept asking if they were too tight. We left with crooked glasses that don't fit and our only recourse is to exchange them. No thanks- after spending $340 and receiving shoddy treatment, I never want to step in that store again. Totally incompetent.

Wow! Won't be visiting Stanton optical ever again! Over $400 for glasses for both my kids. Didn't have the 2 for $69 the store associate said but they have it posted on Facebook? The doctor is fine. Kids like him. I call them today, the glasses should have been in last week!! They hang up on me while checking on my order. I call back and a diff guy answers and says is this for Ethan ******! Didn't apologize or anything! I will take my money and children elsewhere! Ridiculous! I can spend $400 anywhere and get better service.

We bought my husband some glasses there one pair of them the prescription was not right, the other pair the lens continuously falls out. I took the one back that wasn't right, they sent it out to get the prescription right on them they have had them for 2 and 1/2 Weeks. went yesterday to get the lens put back in the one pair he has and they were apparently short-staffed after waiting 20 minutes I left. so he has no glasses to wear at all now the people that work there are friendly but the service is horrible will never get glasses there again.

DO NOT GO HERE. I've never written a bad review before but I feel very strongly about my experience with this Stanton. I spent $45 to pay the on sight doctor for an eye exam and $418.46 on a buy 1 got one free deal. Both glasses came in a few weeks later and they were far worse than the prescription currently have. I asked for a refund and the manager refunded me the $418.46 but refused to refund me the $45 for the eye exam. When I pressed him on having the doctor refund me, he said that the doctor wasn't the issue but the glasses were just not the right shape for me and that can cause them not to work properly. I asked that Stanton refund me and he said there was no way of proving it was the glasses shape. Then he told me I could have another eye exam done to make sure it was done correctly... So I said great if it's free I'll do it... he said of course its not free. So he wanted me to spend another $45 to prove that the $45 I spent earlier was worth spending. Very disappointed with my experience.

At first it seemed pretty good the staff was friendly and helpful but after waiting over a month and counting for my other pair of glasses I have completely changed my opinion. At first they said it would take up to a week for both pair's to be in well one week came and I only received one pair after that I kept calling every other day and was told something different every time I talked someone. One would say they were on their way they'll be in by the end of the week then another person would say something completely different. So finally I was able to talk to a manager so at first he said my frames were on back order then the very next day he said the lab had cracked my lenses! Needless to say I was told something different every time I called and this has been over a month. So last week the manager said that my glasses would be in next Tuesday so that next Tuesday I called expecting them to surly be in but what do you know now U.P.S didn't deliver them and they don't know where they're at! So now it's U.P.S fault! Long story short Stanton Optical is by far the most unprofessional wanna be business I've ever been to! And by reading the reviews I'm not the only one that feels that way either. So folks don't make the same grave mistake I and countless others have! Go somewhere else that actually cares about you and your business. Unlike stanton optical who just wants your money

Visited Stanton optical because of their ad, which is misleading. The ad says 2 pairs for $69. There is another eyeglass place that has that deal with 2 pairs of glasses, including frames and non-bifocal lenses. I assumed Stanton meant the same. At Stanton there were about 7 pair for 2 for $69 full glasses but they were hideous. Then I was shown another area of 2 for $69, frames included but not lenses. Pleasant place, would like them to be clear on the ad what 2 for $69 pairs is. Is it 2 pairs of frames or full glasses?

I messed up my glasses pretty bad at work. So bad I went where I got them at Walmart and they said there was nothing they could do. I didnt have the money to get new glasses at the time. Ordered all my children glasses one child had to be sent out and could take up to 2 weeks. Went back 2 weeks later to see if they were ready. Was told no order existed and that there was no record in file. Was told to find my receipt and bring it in as proof!! Next day received automated call that order was ready. Called again only to be confronted by same rude lady, asking why i could get a call that my order is ready if they couldn't find it?? Put me on hold... so far it's been 20 minutes. Pure geniuses working there.

Had appointment for 12:45pm on Sunday, was not seen until 1:30pm, what’s the point of making appointment? They quoted that you can get eye exam and 2 pair of glasses for $59.99 or something close to that, complete lie. My total was $387.00 and this was with no extra put on my glasses. Told associate no way and to just give me my prescription, she says she’ll have to charge me for the exam, I said fine and I’ll take my business elsewhere, associate tells me to wait a minute and comes back and says she can do $250.00. I did go with that price but I will never do business with them again or will I recommend. I don’t like when a business lies and deceives you to get you into their business.

Id give 0 stars if I could. Went in to get a replacement on my lenses with my warranty, and my prescription had magically gotten way stronger. despite me telling them it was wrong, they will not take blame and insist it's correct. If it was correct I would be able to see!! There is no doctor on site. They do your eye test on a screen (which means they cant test you for prism). The 2 for 59 deal is a JOKE! It's 2 small rows of the ugliest glasses I've ever seen in my life. Go somewhere else and save yourself!! BTW while I was there, 2 other people came in with problems and complaints. Coincidence? I think NOT.

I recommend over any other eyes glass place in town. Also affordable. But note its even though its advertised as a free eye exam be aware that you still have to pay $45 for the doctors time. Which is cheaper than any other exam. Walmart charges about $60.

before I went, I read reviews..they were 50/ I was a little hesitant. I was instantly greeted by Yvette, who was super sweet and helpful. My appointment was at 12:30, but I didn’t get seen til around 1, but that was fine, I spent those 30 minutes looking for frames. I told Yvette I wanted the most basic lenses, seeing as my prescription was low, and I was tight on money. She totally understood and I got a free pair of second glasses..which were ready in an hour and a half. Definitely will be recommending this Stanton to friends and family. I went in for a glasses and contacts exam and had a trial pair of contacts and 2 pairs of glasses by the time I left. Their lab onsite is fast! I noticed an issue with the prescription for my left eye and went back, they redid my eye exam and ended up replacing both lenses in both pairs of glasses since they found a change in both eyes, again so fast I was surprised. Their customer service was amazing and they fixed my issues at no charge. Even if they are a bit more expensive than other places, I would gladly go back just for the care and service! But I felt their costs were comparable to other places I have been. The manager is wonderful as were all the associates that helped me. The only issue I felt they have is the virtual docs that do the exams. That will no longer be an issue as of June 1.

This place is a joke! I'm convinced they pay for the good reviews they have. My experience has been frustrating to say the least, and others I've talked to have had similar experiences. Below is what they don't tell you... **1st if all, they advertise free eye exams. This is a lie. Annual eye exams are covered by your insurance and if you don't have vision coverage the exam will cost you $50.00. **They also advertise buy 1 pair get 1 pair free, also a lie. **Your exam will be conducted over a computer with the optometrist or tech over Skype, unless you request an in person optometrist. Cost is the same.

This was seriously the BEST eyeglass experience I've ever had in all my years of wearing glasses. The staff was excellent! Dr. Adams and her assistant were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly! Super efficient but not in a rushed feeling kind of way like I've experienced at other eye exam spots around town. My time with the employees at the frame side was just as pleasant. Renee helped me choose my glasses, she was awesome. She was incredibly patient with my indecisiveness. Also, she was very knowledgeable and over all just extremely pleasant to do business with. Jon the manager was just as helpful and friendly. Overall, my entire experience with Stanton Optical on Corrales rd. was great! Truly, I highly HIGHLY recommend them for your eye exam, eyeglasses and contact needs. I won't be going anywhere else for my eye needs ever again!

Deja at the Gresham, Oregon location assisted me today and she, and her helper, were both awesome. I'm a big guy with a big head and it's never easy for me to find glasses wide enough for my head, especially that are then in a simple style. I'd picked out a few options, and was a little wishy washy, when Deja was kind enough to go look in the back stock to see if there was anything there I would like. I wanted to give them no stars. I came in for the ‘$69 deal.’ After the farce facade was unveiled , the total price of my two pairs of glasses were over $400. About a week later, I bent down to pick something up off the ground and my Glasses fell off my face. The arm snapped off because the screw broke off. They wouldn’t cover it, so I had to pay. $35 dollar feee to get something fixed I had owned for less than a month. This place is such a joke.

A bit surprised that the ophthalmologist who performed the eye exam/testing was not physically present, rather conducting the exam via tv satellite. The GM, Trisha LaRoque, did provide insight and reasoning as to why Stanton provides the satellite service as well as a conventional exam on specific days with the Doctor present. In addition, Trisha took time to discuss and answer our questions, providing information for us to make an informed decision on which frame and eye glass lense would be the most efficient style to purchase. All upgrades from a single vision prescription come with an upgraded price; bifocals, progressive lens, color tint, etc. The ads for 'special' low priced glasses normally do not apply to the veteran eye glass wearer.

First time costumer/new to Gresham. When looking for frames I tend to have a hard time because my right eye is slightly lower set than my left so I look for certain frames,certain size of lenses,the bridge...let's just say I have my frame picking down to a personal science. But searching through a sea of frames in a very expired pair of glasses while looking for the specifications I want can be a challenge. My appointment was at 10:15, wasn't even seen until 11:30, had to do the preliminary exams multiple times because of "technical difficulties", and eventually left at 1:30 without my prescription because it was taking up too much of my day. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, the in-house optometrist had already left for the day. They conducted my eye screening by webcam, and the technician on the other end of the webcam was unable to issue a prescription. Totally unfair to the patient, and a waste of my time.

The first exam was done anadequately and glasses prescription reflected that. Second exam better but glasses not measured right. Third time around lenses had a distortion. Misinformed by staff, manager did not take the time to speak to me directly, customer service would not give straight answers and made me feel incompetent and still did not get straight answers about biling and refunding for both serives. Finally, spoke to someone and they took the time to explain the process and steps. My own insurance took the time and was more than pleasant. No one could tell me after the whole ordeal why not just change the lense? I will be doing my part and nevdr return to this place. Getting an eye exam from someoe who is not looking at you and following the prompts from a computer onto the screen, is a liabilility for the Dr. who signs all of these prescriotions. Not accurate. It is a good thing for those who got a good service not for those who did not.

Be wary of this place as it outsources its "doctors" to video conferences with people over seas reading scripts. I had to stop my person in the middle of the exam and clarify which lenses were 1 & 2 because he was rushing the exam so much that I couldn't tell which was which. My girlfriend did not stop them to clarify because she had never had glasses before so she was unaware how the process was supposed to work. She can see better but it's still unable to see details that should be perfectly clear if her prescription was correct. The only reason this place is 2 star is because the onsite staff is friendly and helpful and the store has a good selection.

I walked in and I was so excited to get new glasses... The lady who is the receptionist is amazingly wonderdul. She is very sweet, kind hearted and willing to help. That is where the positivity stopped and everythjng went south. The eye exam is NOT free it is infact $45.00. The two free are roughly 20 random pairs that are either so hideous that no human could even manage them ironically or an adult of normal proportions would not be able to fit them. That is only if you QUALIFY for the $59 deal. (Few do) You don't know if you qualify untill AFTER the FREE exam. You are honestly looking at about $200 for a pair that look kind of ok. Everything about this deal is an upsale and a bait and switch. The only pair I found that would work for my face was a pair that was "accidently" put in the wrong spot and were $150. Lastly the blonde manager lady who makes all the decisions was mean and a variety of expletives that are inpolite to say. She even spoke poorly of her underlings. What a horrible experience made worse by management.

The first time I went in, she pushed signing up with their membership vs using insurance, and I thought she was just being a pushy salesperson but actually she was totally right that it was cheaper to NOT use my insurance. I recently visited the Corrales location and had a very good experience. I specifically chose Stanton Optical because I was on a budget, and they have a good selection of frames I could afford. I walked in and was helped by Kelly, who assisted me in selecting frames, but did not stop there. Kelly knew I was on budget, and was very understanding, going as far as to give me a discount that allowed me to walk out with my new glasses (the ones I really liked) that same day. It only took about ten minuets after my purchase for me to receive my glasses. Overall, Kelly made this experience an awesome one, and I recommend Stanton Optical because their staff DOES care.

If I can give them 0 stars I would. Absolutely worst place I’ve ever been. They gave me the wrong eye prescription and refused to let me return my contacts.. I had a doctor tell me I had an eye hemorrhage and when I went to a specialist they said nothing was there. Glasses are over priced as well.

Went in to get an expensive pair broken glasses repaired and possibly purchase a few more pair. Guy at front desk says he can't repair the glasses which I knew wasn't the case. When I told him I knew the frames could be replaced he then said the lenses were nicked up looked like a animal chewed on them and he wouldn't feel comfortable fixing them. I only wanted them repaired for a backup but he was more worried about up selling than having a long term happy customer.

I had my exam with the Dr who is amazing! Exam didnt take long so i was a little nervous thinking they weren't going to be right BUT my 2 new pairs of glasses were great! But oh no one pair I broke so yesterday i went to store to have them fixed. Thats when i met Christianna she was amazing she exchanged my lenses with their display pair of frame. She made them fit even better then before. Took my wife and daughter to Stanton for eye exams and new glasses my wife’s two pair worked out fine my daughter however did not first exam done and new glasses she couldn’t see well enough to pass her eye exam at the B.M.V. For her temps Stanton said the big lenses and frames were fish bowling and aren’t going to work for her. second exam and new glass small frames and lenses still couldn’t pass eye exam at the B.M.V. Went back to Stanton this time different doctor they said he’s better he takes more time to do the exam he tells her she can use the big lenses and frames this pair is some what better she can see faraway now passed B.M.V. Eye test but can’t see small letters other words she can’t read with them and this pair the lenses keep popping out Stanton tells her she needs to pick a different set of frames the lenses are to big for the frames. The lenses were to be made to fit the frames she picked.she walked out . Her grandmother took her back and i being her dad told her to return all glasses to Stanton and get a refund tired of dealing with them. they refunded $15.00 dollars and kept $45.00 for non refundable eye exam . Are you kidding me three eye exams and still not right and you’re changing me for not getting it right on top of that they were very rude to my daughter and 72 year old mother telling them you can never come back to we would ever comeback for another dose of that medicine. And just to say if you check the B.B.B. Better Business Bureau Stanton has an F Rating for failure to respond to three complaints filed and for failure to resolve underlying causes of a pattern of complaints. I ordered and paid for glasses on March 4th. It is March 22 and I still don't have my glasses. I called all day long on the 21st and no one answered the line dedicated to checking on your glasses. I left 2 messaged and no one returned my call. Today I actually got to speak to a person. The glasses are still at the lab. No promise as to when I might get them. They will call me back... I'm not holding my breath. This is the last time I will ever give my business to Stanton Optical. Terrible service, terrible customer service.

I had an appointment at 10 am. Got there at 9:30. I waited 50 minutes until my name was finally called. The doctor was a lady on a projector screen that did my “exam” so when my exam was over i waited an additional 35 minutes for my prescription which then was told they could not give me because their computers weren’t working. I was so tired of waiting that I paid for my exam and left. So ridiculous. i don’t even want to give Them my business after this. I’m pretty sure I was over charged for my exam as well.

I went to Stanton for their special, and somehow my buy one get one free came to a huge grand total of over $400. They proceeded to give a variety of discounts after I explained that that total was completely unaffordable. Then, when they arrived the prescription was completely wrong. I had to then get another eye exam to correct the prescription. This cost me my time and money. Now, I am still waiting on the corrected glasses to which should have had a rush put on them. I went to Stanton for their special to which cost more than the advertised price, the prescription was incorrect, and I am still waiting for my glasses in order to renew my drivers license. I feel as if I could have paid the first grand total greater than $400, I would have taken advantage of, by deceptive sales techniques. I won’t return there in the future because of this complete mess

Absolutely terrible! Expensive to the highest proportions and they keep pushing you to buy the more expensive brands due to their commission. They are not by any means "good" or "nice" people. They make you wait....for hours. They pass off a fake vibe that convinces other patients that they care but they are working at their own slow pace. Not recommended! I have bought glasses from Stanton Optical in Beavercreek, Ohio on two different occasions and this last time was the worst customer service I've received from anywhere. My first pair of glasses, which I purchased in 2013, started to get swirls in the lenses and the associate at Stanton told me it must have been what I used to clean them, but I cleaned them how they told me, with the microfiber cloth. They fixed my first pair with no problems. Because they fixed the first pair, I decided to them another chance. The next pairs of glasses I bought, in the summer of 2015, I cleaned them exactly how they told me (I used the lens cleaner and wipe as they suggested). Now, my new glasses are getting small "bubbles" on the lenses. I took the glasses back thinking there was a defect in the lens, I was told the coating was starting to come off, it was just 2 months after I had bought them. I was asked how I cleaned them, I pointed to the wipes and cleaners they had on the counter, which their response was I should only use water and a microfiber cloth. They would not fix the glasses for free, it would cost me $20. I didn’t have a second pair of glasses with me, so I did not leave them to be fixed. Today I asked my husband to drop the glasses off on his way home from work. The associate grilled him about what I did to the glasses and kept arguing with him about it was all my fault, that I had done something to them. He mumbled under his breath at one point about how alcohol wouldn’t cause it, then later said they must have been cleaned with alcohol. Now I have to pay $50+ to have the glasses fixed. They keep telling me different things I should do when it comes to cleaning my glasses. Any respectable business would fix the problem, especially since it was so soon after purchasing the glasses, nor would they argue with their customers the way they did.

Terrible place. Ordered contacts and glasses. My glasses were completely messed up. The manager handed them to me and the tool to fix them! After I got the back for a second time the lenses were still terrible. I had contacts on order and never did get the right ones and they refuse to give me my prescription even though it was their mistake. Called to speak to the manager who knows nothing about glasses and she never did call me back. Worst place I have ever been for glasses. Unprofessional and treated terrible.

This place is a joke. I had an appt @ 415 for only a contact exam. Finally after being moved from room to room (one being a "virtual eye exam" with a person on a television??) & sitting around for almost 2 hours I was given my rx only for them to tell me they don't have the trial contacts that they say are part of the $89 exam in & I would be getting a pair that are a lesser rx but "they'll be fine". I paid for what they told me I would receive on the phone when I exam & a pair to take home. Seemed like 1 girl was doing all the work. There were people still waiting when I left that were there before I arrived. I should have get what you pay for. But I didn't really get all that I paid for & wasted 2 hours sitting around.

We will never be returning here. Our experience does not even deserve one star. I scheduled an appointment for contacts for my husband, and when we arrived we again reminded them that it was for contacts and that he has never worn them. They did the exam and ten went to check us out. We asked why he hadn't received a contact fitting and they were so confused. We ended up getting him a contact fitting but really an employee named Cassidy just gave him som contacts and left him to put them in on his own...he's never worn contacts and I had to help him, no employee knew how to help him! They did not listen to anything we said and it was a terrible experience. We will be going to another Eye Doctor to receive a proper exam and contact fitting.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Karen Goldbach, who went out of her way to find me three Optical Companies that carried the specific frames. I would like to also say that she took the time to look up each Optical company, their address, their zip code, and their phone number. She even went as far as to tell me that they were each one closed today and would reopen at a certain time on Monday. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Paid $400 for a pair of glasses with warranty. They lasted just long enough that the warranty expired. We thought that by paying a little more that we were getting quality work. Then when I called in to get information on the prescription, I was on hold for one and a half hours before I hung up. My elderly mother needed glasses after a recent cataract surgery so we stopped by Stanton Optical in Beavercreek, Ohio on Saturday before the 4th of July, ten minutes before closing time! Andrew was the only person in the store so poor thing got stuck with us! He was so patient and kind with my Mom! We left an hour later, 50 minutes past closing time and he was still smiling! First off free exam is a stretch ..eye exam not in depth enough ..very fast take exam and pay for it right away ....then if you buy glasses they take it off .went in for free exam one get one ..$325 dollars later I’m informed the send off to Florida so glasses in 10 to 14 days ... then pick up and one eye blurry .checked and discover lens off ..send back to Florida...14 days later...same thing ...send back ...10 to 14 later second exam because still off .send off again only to get back and worse than it started ...2 months later no glasses ask for refund and I paid cash at time of purchase but now I have to wait on a check from corporate office .also won’t refund the exam money ...even though they can’t get it right .the girls are nice there but the dr is not thorough enough ..I wish I’d have never went in. After I left I stopped into competitor down the road and received a much more in depth exam ....

We got a mailer that advertised 2 pairs of glasses for $69 plus free eye exam. The eye exam is supposed to be paid separately then a discount for the same amount ($45) is given in the glasses purchase so the total would be $69. Don't try this if you also want contacts. The exam will be $99 and THEY WON'T GIVE THE $45 EXAM DISCOUNT ON THE TWO PAIRS OF GLASSES. The employee acted like the eye exam is different for contacts. It is not. There are just a few extra steps. Not sure why the exam discount couldn't be given for the 2 pairs of glasses as I would be paying more for the exam, buying 2 pairs plus contacts. That's more money spent after all. When I made the appointment, I asked questions to find out this info but I didn't get accurate information. We walked out before the appointment. $99 for a contacts exam is way too much anyway but it would have been a good deal with the promotion.

Had an appointment here for Friday. Got a call they needed to reschedule me for Sunday. No biggie. I go in and the front desk girl is rude , also is eating at the desk. Not really professional especially since myself and my daughter both have food allergies. I get into my eye exam and the dr says okay read the bottom line...ok I did that he says you have 20/20 vision everything is fine . I told him again I've been having zaps of pain behind my eyeball and was worried it was related to my trigeminal nerve problems. He than preceded to tell ME how bad nerve pain is and how I "would know " if it were nerve relate . Like no kidding. He didnt preform any other eye tests! None! He told me he was an MD filling in and to go to my doc so because they can do more. (Like a HEARING TEST! HE LITERALLY SAID THIS!) What a waste of my yearly exam. Walking out he literally asks if I've been reassured ?! Really? No I haven't. I have had routine eye exams more diligent than this. In fact of all my eye exams ever, I have never had so little done. It was like a school exam. Read the! I spoke with my doc who reccomend going to an eye doc first since the pain is directly related to my eyeball and also being as I have trigeminal neuralgia which can and usually does affect the eye on the same side. lol. I feel bad for anyone who has to pay for that exam . Luckily tricare covers it for me but the next one (a real exam) will have to be out of pocket since this place had no clue. I highly recommend going elsewhere.

This place is horrible. All they care about is trying to get you in their business for a "free eye exam" which isn't free. These are the car salesman of eye exams. Came in to have an eye exam for medical employment reasons. Upon my exam I provided a fax number where all of my test results needed to be faxed. They said they would send them but did not. Tried contacting them on multiple occasions and was hung up on multiple times when saying no to scheduling a "free eye exam". My employer has tried reaching out multiple times to obtain the proper paperwork and same story they just hang up. This place is garbage. Don't waste your time or money. Never have I had a worse experience.

False advertisement. Today my dad came in for the eye exam and two “designer” frames for $59.95. The ophthalmologist did the eye exam/testing via tv satellite, they weren’t physically present. When it came time to check out and select the frames for the prescription lens he was quoted $350-495 for the two frames with the prescribed lenses. When he asked the receptionist about the special offered on tv she acted surprised and then directed him to a small section of frames that didn’t even fit his head and were definitely not “designer”. Stanton Optical gives false advertisement. When something seems too good to be true, it typically is. This place offers a $59.95 scam.

Started to go here because it was a good deal, but they are incredibly unorganized and the headache is not worth the price. Both my husband and I ordered contacts which they offered to ship to our home because we live out of town. They were never shipped and when we called the office to check in, nobody answered. Finally had to drive to the office to get them. The eye exam is a Skype conversation with a doctor - if you have any need for a personal conversation with an attentive doctor this is not the place for you. To make matters worse, every time we go in -regardless of if we’ve made an appointment or not - the wait is over an hour to sit in front of a computer screen.

When I went to pick the glasses up, I did have to wait a little bit due to the store being busy. This retailer is not worthy of a one star, more of a -10. Consumers need to stay away from this company. Poor to substandard quality of work/inexperienced optical techs made my lenses incorrectly with measuring axis off by a large margin. Took Stanton about 3 months to accept my grievance to remake my lenses after I had another optical company measure my Rx and verify the negligent work. To date, Stanton still has my glasses and no date of delivery on remake of glasses but staff informed me to call daily. Currently working with Attorney General's office for insurance fruad and negligent work on Rx/medically necessary glasses. Below poor customer service- poor communication on delivery dates intial order- I was informed 5-7 days, got it in 2 days with sever deficiencies, Manager refused to send for remake on 4-7 attempts. Finally 3 months later Stanton remaking under warranty but delivery dates have been 2-4 days, 5-7 days, 7-10 days, and as of today 10-14 days with multiple excuses and poor communication and customer service skills by all staff. If you value the health of your eyes, mental health and time stay away. Very frustrating company to work with. Use your eye doctor's office to buy your glasses- may be a little more expensive but worth it. Lesson learned. ***To Stanton management: do not post an automated response on how you value your customers or how you strive for excellence- the current environment and how you do business shows your lack of customer commitment. Focus your energy and efforts by putting yourselves in your stores and incorporate active change.

Made an eye appointment when to the appointment. Went back to pick up my trial pair of contact lenses. Was not seeing good out of one eye. Tryed to make an appointment to see the the Doctor and was told there will be no Doctor is the store for the rest of the month. ( 20 days). So I can wait till next month to see the Doctor or, go to there other location for the fallow up appointment. Can't get me in until 15 days from now. I find this to be poor customer service! I inquired way there's on Doctors untill next month. Was told that there's no permanent Doctor that the all Doctors are only there for Couple of weeks. Wouldn't recommend Stanton Optical. If every time I go in it's a different Doctor and may not be able to be the same location. At this rate it could be months before I get a pair of contact that fit correct.

Went in on Saturday because they are the only places that advertises as being open on the weekends and needed glasses in order to work on Monday. They took my money after I picked out the pair I wanted, then proceeded to let me know that I wouldn't be receiving my pair until Tuesday. Not Monday. Tuesday. So I played along. Didn't get the call for my glasses until they were almost closed on Tuesday. So Wednesday I call ahead of time to make sure the glasses are still there and ready for me to pick up, they confirm and I go to the store. I just tried on my glasses. THE LENSES ARE UPSIDE DOWN. Disgraceful. The store itself is FILTHY. And the woman at the customers service desk has 0 customer service skills. Don't come here.

Tried to call and ask what insurances they take both times I had very aggressive sales people who were unwilling to answer my questions. Had one guy tell me I don’t need insurance with their great prices and went on to give me a sales pitch. Since they are a vision place and do take insurance you’d think I’d at least be able to get an answer regarding if they take my insurance or not. Far too aggressive in their sales technique and uninformative for me to want to go in.


Wow!! I am impressed!! Most reasonably priced place in town - excellent customer service - Jonathan Allen went above and beyond to make sure that my glasses were a perfect fit and that I was exceptionally happy - which I am!! Definitely recommend!!

The doctor took time with me to get appropriate information for my complex eye history, make me feel comfortable and suggest a referral to a specialist for my particular disease process. He educated me on a new diagnosis and recommended how to best handle that issue. Staff was very kind, patient and thorough even though they were very busy. They were helpful and very courteous while I shopped for frames which is never easy when you are vision limited while trying on multiple frames. Thank you, Sarah! Wasn't a huge fan of my eye exam being conducted by a woman on a screen. I got my glasses two weeks later and had a very hard time seeing out of them. I called and was told I'd have to drive back out to Stanton to get them fixed (I live 30 minutes away). I went in and was told that I didn't wear them long enough and to come back in two weeks if it was still a problem. I would have appreciated some trouble shooting over the phone and in store to try and fix the problem the first time I was there. I've been wearing glasses and contacts for years and have never had an issue like this.

My recent appointment was as a returning customer. My first experience was great. The doctor was pleasant and thorough. The staff was helpful. Sadly that was not the case this time. This time, I had difficulty hearing the staff. Even after telling them I couldn’t hear or understand them several times, they made no attempt to face me or or ensure that I understood instructions. One of their machines was malfunctioning and I never knew what happened or why. Eventually, I was lead to an exam room with a woman on a tv screen. I had no idea that I was to receive a “virtual” eye exam. Once again, I had difficulty hearing and understanding instructions. I communicated this to the woman on the screen. About half way through, I just started guessing what she wanted to hear. I have zero confidence that this “exam” will give accurate results. I scheduled, with the intention of again, purchasing contacts and glasses. The whole experience left me frustrated and in tears. I did not buy anything. I couldn’t wait to leave. I was there for a hour and a half. I paid $90 for an exam that I don’t trust to give accurate results. I strongly feel that I should have been informed that I would have a virtual exam, prior to entering the room. This appointment was a fiasco! First time I have been frustrated to the point of tears over an eye exam.I will never go back!

Every time I go in they are prompt to greet me and I usually don't wait long before seeing the doctor. Even when I do have to wait the staff is polite and we usually have a nice conversation. The doctor remembers me each time I come in and makes me feel like he is actually paying attention to me, as apposed to just trying to crank through as many patients as he can in one day. Once it was time to pick out frames they dealt with my indecision and even helped me pick out 2 pairs that I LOVE! And ordering contacts with them is absolutely painless. so simple. I was very skeptical at using a "chain" optometrist. I didn't want to lose the personal touches of a small "mom and pop" establishment. So glad I chose Stanton.

If I could zero stars I would! I made an appointment at 10:30 explaining I had to be at work at 12. All I was hoping to get done was the actual exam. At 11 I was finally called back to do the pre exam and then 12 hit and I'm still waiting for the actual exam. I will point out I was the ONLY one there! And when I got up to tell the lady I was leaving she got extremely rude and snappy with me. I will absolutely never come back and have told many people who were looking for a new place to avoid them at all costs!

This place is kind of a joke. I got there around 9:50am for my 10am appointment. The employee who did my pre-exam, I believe her name was Megan, was completely incompetent. She had to redo my glaucoma test several times and she didn’t read my glasses correctly. She sent me into an automated/FaceTime exam for single vision when I have progressive lenses. After my botched exam I talked to the manager who said they would get me in for another exam with the doctor as soon as possible. At 11:30 I still hadn’t been seen by the doctor and I decided I just wanted my money back for the exam. Megan was at the desk and I told her I wanted a refund, she told me she couldn’t help me because she was on the phone and that I should find the manager who was with another customer. I work in customer service and customers on the phone can be put on hold to deal with a more pressing customer that’s standing in front of you. The manager and the other guy that was working at the time were great and did everything they could to help me but unfortunately it didn’t make up for Megan’s mistakes. I don’t know what my appointment would’ve been like if she hadn’t been there but honestly I don’t care to find out.

I am a senior citizen who recently needed a prescription change in my glasses. They are conveniently located so I went on a weekend as I am still working full-time. Their showroom is very large, clean, and attractively laid out. Because it was a Saturday, they were busy, however, very efficient in accommodating customers. I was asked if I was interested in new frames and when I declined was told to be seated and would be waited on in turn. They offer a very nice buy one and 1/2 off second frame deal. I only had to wait a few minutes and was helped by the manager of the store. I told him I had a second pair of glasses as a spare that I would like to have the new prescription updated as well. Due to a fairly complicated prescription my bill was a bit pricey and he offered to fill the spare frame at half the cost of the first pair. I am so grateful for his thoughtfulness as my insurance doesn't cover any eye ware cost! In addition, we had fun while the order was being taken. I was helped by two other employees when I picked up my first pair and they were extremely professional and helpful. I was very pleased with my entire experience at Stanton Optical in Beavercreek today. I was 1st helped by Rob. He helped figure out what our insurance would cover for my complete new pair of glasses in addition to replacement lenses for my current glasses. He was able to get me in for an eye exam promptly. Then I dealt with a nice woman (sorry I can't remember her name) who got all my insurance information figured out so I could get my eye exam. She was kind during my pre exam & very courteous apologizing for the wait on getting the exam from the doctor. The doctor I saw was a lovely gentleman who didn't rush & asked if I had any ?s for him before leaving the office. Finally, I was helped by Andrew. He was so kind & charismatic. He offered to help me pick my lenses with an honest opinion which I truly valued & appreciated. ( I must add that I stopped into this shop several months ago & Andrew helped me. One of my lenses was damaged & he offered a solution even after I told him the glasses weren't purchased from their store. I couldn't accept because I didn't have a spare pair of glasses, but I appreciated his kindness!) Lastly, Andrew walked me thru my questions pertaining to our insurance plan & worked up an estimate for a pair of glasses for my husband. So far, my experience has been fantastic. I'm hopeful that my glasses will come in on time & correctly despite some of the negative reviews I've read about. If there is a problem out of their control, I'm confident that Andrew will make it right.

I was called before my appointment time and was told that the computer had overbooked appointments, but that we would be worked in. When we arrived, we were told that I was the only one with an appointment scheduled. I was not happy. I let my son take my appointment time and rescheduled my daughter and myself for another day. While my son was being seen by the optometrist, they slipped my daughter in. The only one that had to reschedule was me. Wendy was so nice and sweet about the whole situation and very apologetic about it that I calmed down immediately. When we left the store, I was joking and in a wonderful mood and I didn't mind that I will have to come back another day.

Good day, Well as summer gives way to fall I realize that to my horror I am down to my last new pack of contacts. So I call Stanton Optical here in Beavercreek Ohio and make an appointment. Astonishingly they got me in the same week that I called and on the day I needed. My intent was new contacts, but Rob (the manager) talked to me about the "manager special" that they were offering. Most of you know as moms we are always last on the needs list and I haven't gotten new glasses in 8 years. I am blind as a bat and generally my glasses are very expensive. Rob got me both contacts and glasses within my budget! In fact he went out of his way to help achieve this and I am very grateful for all his help. Worst experience we've had at any optical center. Received an add advertising $39 for exam and 2 pair of glasses. We weren't told until check out that this was an advertising mistake in Ohio. There were no signs no warnings or anything and even though this wasn't our fault we were made to pay $45 for the exam which would be credited towards the $69 for two pair deal they had ($30more than we had planned on paying). Then we were told we wouldn't receive the credit unless we chose frames that day. After asking for a receipt with his prescription and informing the rep we would just take that and order lenses elsewhere he then informed me (not even 10 minutes later) that he would still offer a credit and acted like this was doing us a favor. We will never be back and will advise anyone else we know to do the same. The only good thing they had going was the optometrist himself which I understand isn't even a part of Stanton. On top of all this we were basically refused a note to excuse my son from school. They stated the best they could do was a hand written note and questioned why I even needed one to begin with. After explaining so my son didn't have an unexcused absence at school I was told just to give them a copy of my receipt. I cannot be the first person to request a note for school.

HORRIBLE!!!! If you spend any money here you are a damn fool. Stated wait time for each person is 2-3 weeks. After waiting 25 days, I decided to go back to the store and get a refund. After being told about issues with the lens makers and glitches etc I was offered free glasses or sunglasses. I declined and insisted on a refund and was given a card and told to call customer service. After talking to customer service, I was informed the refund process starts in store not on the phone. 2 hours later I received a refund of charges to my card. But why the run around, why the back and forth, extra info, etc. All I know was that this was the first and LAST time I will ever go to this place or any of its affiliates. They ought to be ashamed for treating people like this. No one would want to be treated like this after paying their money. I will also add that I was pleasant, didn't swear at anyone, or really raise my voice, but I was treated as a nuisance just because I asked questions and after unacceptable answers wanted my money back. PLEASE STAY AWAY DO NOT WASTE your time. Only positive experience was with the optometrist.

The customer service was great. I'm not too sure if they do walk ins or if they were behind on their appointments but I did have to wait 30 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. If I could give 0 stars I would. Back in February I selected 2 frames one for clear (blue frame) one for sunglasses (purple frame). Total cost $595.00. 2 weeks later the blue pair came in with tinted glass. They were sent back & I was told they would try to make them priority but couldn't promise anything. 11/2 weeks later the purple pair arrived with clear glass not sunglasses. They were sent back . Today the first blue pair came back and I went in and couldn't see out of them they had the prescription reversed so the right was on the left side and vice versa. I got all my money back. Which took almost an hour because the 3 employees didn't know how to do it.

Before you come in be aware that they do eye exams over a web chat & the deals are limited to about 10 pairs of glasses that come in unusual colors like pink & green & all other pairs are expensive. They’re a bit misleading & make you pay for the internet eye exam regardless if you want their glasses or not.

I have been here twice The reason I have been here twice is due the fact that they have a huge selection of frames and i love that idea But I have health insurance and am doble covered So it should be all easy But the 1st time I was here it was almost like it was taboo I had insurance and wasnt paying cash... but it was only 2 months after they opened so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back a year later to get my new glasses and a updated checkup They still can't figure out how to process insurance and treat it like it's such a stressful thing to have The girl at the front this time was very nice but new And then only person who is allowed to do anything with insurance is the manager? But the was in a meeting and not able to come out If you have someone new running the store you should have someone "available" not just in the building to help your customers This will be my last time visiting here I feel like they are an unprofessional place that is just able to help people paying cash You are a place that deals in medical field eye care you should be able to figure out health insurance by now I cant blame it on the store being fresh open now You have had long enough to smooth out the kinks I'll find a place you will take my insurance and get my business for the long run Too bad I wanted to be able to use this place due to the selection and the location to my home

If you need an eye exam or new glasses, this is the place to go. From the moment I walked in i was greeted with professional service. The atmosphere was beautiful, the staff was very professional and the thing I truly enjoyed the most is that there were no hidden cost, or fees. Bottom line if you want a great pair of glasses, you have to pay for them. The young lady who gave me the exam was amazing and very professional. Eric Dodd was the gentleman who helped me pick out glasses and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him and his professionalism. Bottom line!!!!! Pretty bad experience here, probably the worst out of all my eye exams. Went in for an exam for contact lenses and they just decided to fit me with air optix contacts. Explained to them that I wanted acuvue oasys 1 day and had to wait till near closing to get the new prescription. Except, when I paid for everything and finally got the prescription, they had fitted me for acuvue moist instead without telling me anything. They lied to me and told me that oasys 1 day had been discontinued and that moist was a newer product that replaced it?(Oasys 1 day released like 3 years ago, Moist is almost 10 years old at this point). Going to go with an actual optometrist at this point. Even the optical centers at walmart are leaps and bounds better than this place.

I ordered two pairs of glasses, hoping to cash in on the free eye exam. Like any offer, there are strings attached. The exam itself took place over a video call with someone who I presume was licensed but honestly have no idea. Things went fine here. My main problem lies with the fact that none of their lenses fit my (fairly) wide face. "Oh we can just bend the frames for you. Pick any of these and we'll make them work." I chose two that I liked but were tight on the temples. All I want is a refund, but it looks like this is going to be a battle. Most of the people are nice but this is ridiculous. The manager picked up the phone, was given my info and then put me on hold for an hour before the line disconnected. Did I mention it's three weeks after my order was supposed to have been delivered? Visit any other optometrist.

We went there a little while ago and had to go back a ridiculous number of times to get things corrected so everything turned out. My wife wanted progressive lenses and even after multiple trips they don't do much to help her. They claimed to provide a warranty but it is A total rip off. In the end the warranty Repair was worth more than the glasses are. Go to a legitimate eye doctor and get the work done properly the 1st time. don't waste your time here

I was not satisfied with staton. They advertise free exam with 2 pair but you have no options to a choose from. I ordered a pair that did have extras and I was informed would be ready in 7 days, it took 13 days. I constantly called everyday when they were ready they called me the day after as I was not able to pick them up the day before. They were not professional as I had to take it upon myself to do there job. Had the worst experience at Stanton Optical on Burnside. Avoid this place. We went there because the accepted Care Credit. We scheduled appointments for 4 of us. Myself, husband and 2 sons. First we filled out everything online and then the receptionist made us fill it all out again on their IPad as she couldn’t pull up the online info. Then we found out there is no doctor there. You sit in a dark room with a person doing your exam via Skype. The reception was bad, you could barely understand the person online. I sat in there for 10 minutes while the test equipment wasn’t working right, just to have to do the test again. The customer service agents seem very unorganized. We went out to pick our glasses and the selection for the actual special was about 10 pairs that all looked the same. We decided to upgrade. You pick the used and tried on glasses off the wall and they sell you those ones handled by who knows how many people and what kind of treatment they have had. So I was not surprised when my husbands frame arm broke in the first week. We ended up spending 1000.00 on these cheap used glasses. Then the ordering fiasco started. Needless to say we went back in for problems 7 times before we all got the right glasses and prescriptions! They acted like we didn’t have a life and should just be happy to get something. The staff was rude. When my husbands broke they accused him of doing it. They told us twice to pick out new frames since some were out of stock, only to go in and find the same frames on the wall - they could’ve saved us a trip and found them for us! Anyways just avoid it! We will be back at America’s Best next time! I'm not sure their google reviews are correct (mostly positive) as today I posted this on our Gresham Oregon Facebook page and got 45 responses that seemed just like my experience.......wish I had known before.

This place has horrible customer service! I called every week for a month to get an update about my prescription and every time, someone would tell me they would call me back in 20 minutes. I never received a call back. I finally got through to someone in a customer service call center and they did what no one at the office was able to in less than 10 minutes and that included emailing documents back and forth. I’m currently standing in the office and I’ve been standing here for over 8 minutes and no one has addressed me to tell me they will be with me. I will never go back to this office again for services.

My old lensses did not blur around the edges like these. No I dont want antiglare, because my previous pair didnt have it (and thats supposedly also a polycarbonate). I honestly might rather wear my 5 year old glasses with a scratch, than these that are slightly clearer in the middle but blurry on the outside. Confussed and frustrated. Edit: They're not THAT bad. And the employees were nice. But i'm still just going to save up for lazer eye surgery like I should have...

What an amazing experience!!! I've worn glasses since I was a toddler and truly despise the chore of getting new ones! I ONLY get them when literally desperate! Today I was greeted at the door by Geena with a friendly smile that I couldn't ignore!! I DIDN'T do a thing!!! She asked me some questions and help me look for different frames making it a fun rather than torturous experience!! I had my vision checked and the Doctor was so wonderful!!! Not only was she professional but friendly and kind! I hadn't been able to wear contacts in years but she worked with me and I have new contacts too! We celebrated with a hug I was so thrilled! When I came out I was again met by Geena and joined by Jonathan! What fun we had! YES fun! The one who hates getting glasses!! If you don't get priority with an appointment then what is the purpose? And then was told there was no Dr. available everything was automated. Absolutely the WORST experience ever! I have been to many eye care providers and to eye glass places. Never again will I go here! The advertisement is totally bait & switch! They advertise 2 for $69 on glasses with a free eye NOT THE CASE!! My daughter broke her glasses and needed a new pair and exam, so why not get a back up pair too?! We made an appointment and waited, waited, waited some more. While waiting she picked out her frames...turns out they weren’t in the tiny little selection of frames that qualify for the deal. Not to mention, it’s 2 pairs of frames, it does not include lenses which they charge you $99 base price for plus all the coatings they add on without your knowledge! Finally get the exam and they charged $48 for it! It’s NOT FREE!!! Go back up front and had to have a Manager override the price because the guy helping us lied or didn’t know what he was doing. Once all was said and done...$206 out the door with ONLY ONE PAIR OF GLASSES!!! They didn’t call to tell me they were ready like they promised (just went down there 4 hours later) and got to looking at the receipt where I found they charged $25 extra for coatings on the lenses I knew nothing about! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE RIP OFF!!

Not happy with my experience at all... about a month ago I went to the Beavercreek Ohio branch for an eye exam and new pair of glasses. When I picked them up the lense were made wrong at the lab. They figured out the problem, sent t hem back to the lab to be re done. That was on the 10th of May. $233 later on the 24th of May I'm still waiting on my glasses. Very unhappy!!!

This place needs new management! They have people that are new and the manager is more worried about her cellphone than assisting her employees. My husband and I had an exam appointment and it took over two hours to complete both exams that all in all took less than ten minutes each. We didn’t purchase any eye wear because of this and paid for our exams and left. I am extremely disappointed in the service and we will not longer be doing business with your facility. This is a completely different experience compared to when I visited one of your facilities a couple years ago.

Do not go here. Went in for an eye exam last year and I have had a stigmatism since 1999. They ordered me regular spherical contacts without my knowledge. 6 months in I realize their mistake after seeing a local eye "specialist". I'm losing my mind because my vision was blurry, I had headaches all the time and I've had the same prescription for 5 years now, I'm only 37. Was relieved that my vision wasn't getting worse, but I'm pissed they put me into a higher power regular contact and charged me the same price for a toric lense which is alot more money and I got a regular spherical contact!!! With Biofinity lenses its really hard to tell on the package the contact is packaged in if it is a toric lense or I would have caught the mistake a lot sooner. My fault for taking the "cheap so I thought" route. I got scammed. Stay away from these jokesters. Go to a local professional optometrist. Even Wal-Mart is better than this place.

I was skeptical going in but I am so glad I did! The whole team was great. Dr. Levy was great with my 11 year old daughter. He explained things very well and answered all of our questions. He even offered to take the heat off me and explained to her why she should hold off on getting contacts for the time being (which I loved). When actually choosing the glasses and going through the whole ordering process, Tim was amazing! We told him what we were looking for and he helped us pick through so many options (he was very patient). He also answered all questions while ordering. He was very nice and courteous. They told us the glasses would be done in a month but were actually done in less then two weeks. No long wait time for appt either.

We took my son for an eye exam. We were told it would be $59 for the exam and 2 pairs of glasses when the exam was scheduled. Upon checkout we were handed a bill for over $300 and told his prescription didn't count for the sale (after they had fitted him for the frames he chose). When I threatened to take the prescription and go somewhere else the bill was discounted to $147 - still nearly 3 times what we were originally quoted. My son needs his glasses. It isn't a small prescription. He was already going through the last 2 weeks of school before Christmas break without his glasses. Our appointment was on December 7th. We were told it would be 14 days for the glasses to be ready. I called when I hadn't heard anything in 14 days and was told they meant 14 business days, but that they should be ready by December 28th. I called on December 28th and was told they would be ready on December 31st at the latest. I called today - January 4th since we still haven't received a call and was told that they still aren't ready. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told that I couldn't and that I had to be transferred to corporate instead. I am STILL waiting for his glasses and for this to be resolved 28 days after his appointment. He will be going back to school on Monday STILL without his glasses. I was told I could have a store credit for $75 on his account. We just paid for 2 pairs of glasses for him, so I don't think we'll be needing more soon. Furthermore...WHY ON EARTH would I want to go back there and put ourselves through this again? I was told I could use the credit at another Stanton Optical to remedy this issue - there just happens to only be one in my entire state... ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! Update - I was finally able to jump through hoops to get his glasses the day before he went back to school, but then received a message today (11 DAYS LATER!!) saying that his glasses are ready for pickup. What in the world are you people doing over there?!!

And, when they got my prescription wrong, and I couldn't wear either of the two pairs of glasses I bought, U had to fight them just to get anyone to do anything at all. They NEVER call when they say they will, this has happened to me SIX TIMES. I paid hundreds of dollars before Cristmas for glasses, and it's now Mother's Day, I have no working glasses, they have my money, and I get to fight them on calls every damn week. With no results in sight. I need an attorney.

I called at 1:30 pm today to make an appointment. My appointment was on the books for today at 3 pm. I arrived at the store and was told to look at the sign on the door, which stated they closed at 1 pm. I spoke through the door to the staff member who was inside and told her I had an appointment. She stated no I didn't. When I told her again that I did, she said it wasn't on the books. I then asked why wasn't I called to reschedule. She again said it wasn't on the books. She refused to open the door and talk to me and then ignored me. Why do you think I was there. I then called again, which turned out to be a call center, and the representative told me it was on the books. I will not use Stanton Optical and will not recommend to anyone. Their customer service sucks.

I called regarding the cost of an eye appointment with no insurance coverage. I was told they have a special 2 pair for 59.95 I questioned if this Included the Bifocals and was told yes. So on appointment day am told that the bifocals are 2 for 99.95. They did however honor the price originally quoted but what they don’t inform you is the selection to choose from is about 2o pair of glasses that are most likely being discontinued. 1 pair I choose were not available any longer so I had to choose another pair from the already slim pickings. It took anout 5 days for pickup and they basically hand them to you they do mot ch ck to make sure they are even. I was just so in need of new glasses. As for the actual exam I had to hunch down in the chair not sure if it wouldn’t lower or raise to accommodate different customers. The optometrist asked me for my old hlasses then to go back out to waiting area and he would call me back never saw him again. Will not be using Stanton Optical again had my glasses less than a week and the little rubber nose thing fell off I hive Stanton Optical 1 star and only because they honored the quoted price

Really horrible customer service. First I called on Monday night when I arrived home after I ordered my glasses (the same night) to get the pupillary distance between my eyes, Something that should have been included on my prescription, but wasn't. The person I talked to said he couldn't look it up because there was no one at the front desk and he couldn't get intot he computer system and that I should drive back in. First, its a 15-20 minute drive and how exactly would me being there change the fact that no one was at the front desk and that no one could get into the computer system. He then said to call back at 9:15AM the next morning. When I did, I was told that no one could log in the computer (still) and that someone would have to call me back. They never did. I called back and told them I wanted to cancel my order completely... lo and behold, someone got on the phone that could get into the computer... The Store Manager...Amazing. I told him I wanted to cancel my order and he said he would call the lab and make sure they didn't start my order. He then said he would for sure call me back to let me know and guess what ... he never did ... I went back in the next day and was told that no one could get into the computer system and verify that my order was cancelled and that my money would be returned and that the manager would call me back (of course he wasn't there)... since its Thanks Giving weekend, that would be five days later (if they actually call) ... when I should have heard back the day before ... really low class operation... I am still trying to make sure that I get my money back ... Stay Away ... Just Stay Away

Called and made an appointment, I made sure to ask if my optical insurance was accepted they're said yes. Came in and they decided then that they do not actually accept it. On top of the the optometrist wasn't even there for my appointment... Least professional place around.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Had appointment at 10 did not get out of there until after 1130. The contacts I told them was blurry and said would just have to adjust to them. I have worn contacts for 20+ years never have had that issue. Then they told me my glasses which was made somewhere else was same vision and they r not. Worst place ever for eyes.

I just came from the Beavercreek store. I did not have an appointment but the lady at the doctor was inviting and made me feel very welcome. I was in a bad mood but Windy brightened my day. The visit was professional and even though I did not need glasses, I will look forward to going there next year. I hope Windy is treated well there. She is a great asset to the company.

I would not recommend going here for an eye exam. The Dr was rude and demeaning. He made sexist comments and showed agism in a lot of things he did and said. He got mad at me and threatened me. Never going back for an eye exam.

Pleasantly surprised. I was a little put off at first because I made an appointment but still had to wait almost an hour to see the doctor. He told me it had just been a crazy day, which I understand, and I wasn’t in a hurry. He apologized and told me some funny anecdotes, and got my exam done pretty quickly. Everyone working was a little wacky, which made for a really enjoyable atmosphere. Kendra and Wendy aka “Kendy” were so nice and funny. Karen helped me get out quickly once I found some glasses. Easily found 2 pairs I liked and got a great price, less than the advertised $59. I wasn’t even going to get glasses here, I just needed a prescription, but with that discount who could say no?! I will be back!

I had a great experience. I have been there twice in the last two years, both times I received great customer service, Dr Levy is friendly, funny and takes general interest in you. The person helping me with my order was able to negotiate the price of the lenses i wanted and got my bill with in my budget. Both times I was there the team was able to get the cost lenses where I needed them. The only issue I have is they advertise 2 for $69 but the frame selection is very limited, almost purposefully to force you to select different frames. However, if you take them up on their BOGO free offer you can find nice frames for $69, you then have to pay$ 69 for the lenses for the first pair of glasses. Then they apply an eye exam credit to the cost of your glasses. that means if you go in thinking you are only going to spend $69 bucks for two pair of glasses, its a little misleading. You are really going to spend about 95 bucks for two pair and the eye exam.

Originally went to Eye Mart but they didn't have anywhere near a selection of frames like Stanton. Sherry and Sarah greeted me when I came in and we're very helpful. Karen was the one who helped me pick out the perfect frames and get everything ordered. So thank you for all the help. Special shout out to Karen who went out of her way to make sure I understood everything! Thanks Stanton Optical, I will be coming here from now on and will persuade all my family and friends to do the same!

Was a walk in, and didn't have to wait long for an exam. While I felt the exam could have been a little more thorough, when the dr was done, I certainly could see better than when I walked in. I do feel that their ads are slightly deceiving though, as when you buy "glasses", the lenses are of course extra, and the "free" eye exam comes off the price of the frames. By the time it was over, when I was expecting to get out of there at @$100 or so for 2 pair of glasses, I was slightly under $200 for a decent pair and a cheap pair....only slightly less than if I would have went to my optometrist and bought another pr of Oakley frames. The staff seemed nice enough, and they came in within the promised time.

I\'m new to buying glasses so I did what most do and went on line to try and find the best deal. After going to many (more than 5) I found Stanton Optical in Beavercreek. Not only completely professional but very knowledgeable. They clarified what was Hazy from my communication with the \"call in center person\". I spoke with Rob Thomas, who clearly knew the business and further explained in detail my options from very basic to high-end desires. Available discounts were sought and provided and I walked out extremely pleased. I\'m having 2 pair completed for the cost of 1 in many of the other stores. I will receive my glasses next week where the \"rest of the story\" will be told about this excellent experience with Stanton Optical. GWhite

Everyone was really nice, but before the exam, during the exam, and while choosing frames the person helping me knew my current glasses were broke and I can not see without them. Only after I paid over 200$ was told it could take up to 3 weeks???? I did voice my concern with needing them asap. At that point no one was willing to work with Me on a refund, or speeding up the process so I sit here unable to go anywhere or do anything for over a week now. I wish that I would have gone somewhere else. Especially after reading these reviews.

I went to lens crafters to have new lenses put in my existing frame and was told it couldn't be done because the frame would break from putting new lenses in them. They wanted me to buy new expensive frames. So I took my old frames to Stanton Optical and they put new lenses in for a very reasonable price with no trouble whatsoever! The gentleman there was so polite and helpful as well. I'm a Stanton customer for life!

Very disappointed went in with broken glasses and after it was all said and done I did only spend around $60.00 however that was for one pair of glasses that will be here in 14 days so I guess I will just not see for 2 weeks the only positive thing was the staff they were good
