I have been bringing my family here fpr many years, as well as recommending you to friends. I recently have had a horrible experience with your office which is making me regret my decisions. What kind of business just closes whenever they feel like when they have posted hours? I live more than 45 minutes away and 2xs in the last week made the trip after work to pick up my daughter's glasses and 2xs your office was closed. My daughter has gone more than a week longer than she should have without her glasses, which her eyesight is so bad that without them not only can she not see well but it causes her headaches. Then I finally get a hold of a lady who said she was the "office administrator" when I asked for one. I have a hard time believing she actually was because she not only acted like it was not a big deal, basically tried to tell me I was lying and they had only closed once 15 minutes early the day before for a family emergency. It was at least 30 minutes early and it was definitely more than once!!!! Then when I tried to call it is a recording (which btw also states you should have been open) and gives you the option to leave a message but when you press the number the message just replays. So I had emailed you all, asking for your new hours so that I can be assured I would not waste another 2 hours out of my day. Still haven't gotten a response back and when I asked your "office administrator" she had no answer for me, just had an excuse for the voicemail and blamed it on the phone company.

Dr. Chan and her office were amazing with my daughters. My girls were afraid of their first eye doctor appointment and the staff were so friendly and Dr. Chan was so engaging that they quickly got over their fears and had a great time! We were also very late to the appointment and they were understanding and fit both children in. What a great experience! We will definitely be back for eye exams in the future.

Dr. Chen was highly recommended. She was patience itself trying to find the correct contact lenses for my aging eyes. It took so many visits her assistant said I’d have to pay extra in addition to the $200. already paid. That did not happen, but added to my anxiety. I still do not have the vision I hoped for, but maybe that is all that can be done! Two delays occurred when ordering lenses, which were another $200.

Called looking to schedule an appointment. I asked if they carry contact lenses the lady said no then I had to clarify if they carried diagnostic pairs for when you get an eye exam and she answered back very hesitantly. My next question was what the price for the year supply was and I got a "uuuuuuhhhh let me see... They're 8...... Not including tax" then I asked what type of frames they carried for men and she responded "a variety" it was already awkward enough so I didn't ask if she could clarify. Never once was I asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment. I used to work in his industry as a tech and receptionist and never did I answer to a patient the way she replied to me. Gonna keep searching...

Dr. Chan and her staff are wonderful! Dr. Chan always makes kids feel comfortable and at ease. She's also always willing to discuss any questions that I may have about my kids' vision in-depth with me. Thank you Dr. Chan!

the worst place to ever go to. They don't tell you about fees and charges. The doctor tries to rush and hurry you. The front desk staff is extremely rude. Their answer to mostly everything I had a problem with is "it's not our job to tell you" which it actually is. I honestly rate this place a 0 and never going back.

Terrible experience. My family had been going here for a few years this last time I went they had me pick glasses I pick kids glasses on account of me being a petite women. I was given similar glasses that were way too large for my face there solution was to bend the frams in an L shape. I am so irritated by the way they fit I can't even use them. Mami Chan is great but the staff is terrible. Beware

I had my second yearly appointment with Dr. Chan and again appreciated the friendliness of the staff and Dr. Chan. Everyone was professional and courteous and answered any questions I had without making me feel uncomfortable. I've been to a few different Optometrists since moving to NM and Dr. Chan (and her staff) is the best in Albuquerque (in my humble opinion). I highly recommend Dr. Chan and will continue going back to her.

I would recommend her to anyone I also love her staff they are always nice and answer the phones nicely. I also love how fast they are it's like your in and out in no time.

Dr. Chan and her staff are so friendly and welcoming. My whole family sees Dr. Chan and the kids actually love going to their eye exams and have told me that they are fun. It is very family friendly. The staff always have a smile on their face and greet us like we've known them for years. Dr. Chan really gets to know your history and we feel like we are treated like individuals. This is like an old-fashioned family practice that cares and it's such a breath of fresh air from some of the other places that we've been. Would highly recommend!!\

Dr. Mamie is AWESOME! I have a unique eye condition, and everytime I go in, it takes multiple visits to get my prescription right--not because of her, but because of my eyes. She and her staff are friendly, courteous and some of the best I've dealt with, having lived in over 10 different cities in the last 30 years. I am SO glad to have found her! I tried another doctor when I moved here, and he told me it was his way, and if I thought differently i was questioning his expertise--not so with Dr. Mamie! She listened to me, and what I wanted, and explained to me my options and ramifications of each. We then find the best prescription for me. My wife and (then-7, now-9 year old) daughter also go, and we all think Dr. Mamie is FANTASTIC!

I love this office. They are great if you need to change appts even if it's last minute. The Dr. there is super nice and helpful. She seems determined to make sure your eyewear, whether it be contacts or glasses, fits great and you can see with them. LOVE this place and I recommend them!

Although it was a while back, I have been meaning to write a review about my negative experience with this optometrist. About two years ago, I went to have a new pair of glasses made and after I received them, they made me sick because they were far too strong. I had them re-done and they were, yet again, making me sick, even after the preliminary period of a week, when one's eyes should have adjusted to the new script. When I called about this issue, Dr. Chan straight up told me that they had to make my prescription stronger, because in reality I didn't need a stronger script than my previous, but they supposedly wouldn't get money from my insurance otherwise. I understand that everyone needs to make a living, however, it isn't my problem if they can't figure out how to negotiate payments from an insurance plan. I would assume that a professional practice would be able to handle some paperwork to get it solved instead of making their client suffer when they know that their prescription was incorrect, which could ultimately damage my vision. Not to mention, I brought my own pair of frames and Dr. Chan repeatedly made attempts to pressure me into buying a different pair because the ones I had made me "look old". Bad service, bad practice, I wouldn't go back or send anyone I know there.
