When I asked for my Pupillary Distance PD only about one month later, the lady on the end told me that I have to pay $20 more even though I did my eve exam and brought my eyeglasses at Optical Palace total worth $225.

The eye doctor is really good, the people there is nice and professional. You walk in and get your eyes check and your glasses will be ready within a week depending on your eye sight. I’ve been going here for years and I’m still going here.

I got mine eyeglasses from them not worth it. They charging us more to fix it.

They don't even respond to your salutation, and most importantly, they don't repair glasses or frames that you haven't originally bought there. It's like they don't want to work or earn some money.

I bought glasses from them at the end of December 2016. I bought two pairs. One pair was my favorite. The coloring and shape of frames were everything. One day, after a month of wearing them, while I was reading my left lens fell out. I looked at my frame and there was a crack on the bottom left that I didn't even know was there. When i brought the frames in to be looked at, the woman tried to put the lens back in and close the broken area only to see that it couldn't fit. Realizing that the lens were cut too large for the lens, they grabbed me a new pair and told me they were the same frames and went to put lenses in. What I noticed was that if they were the same frames, why did they have to again trim so much of lens to fit the new glasses? Then when i tried them on, it was clear they were not even close to the frames that were broken. Too small and shaped horrible for my face. I said something and the woman tried to tell again, that they are the same. Since i had an extra pair already ,I wore those instead. Flash forward to me losing them in the ocean and having to wear replacement glasses. After a week of wearing too small pair of frames I notice a crack in the lens. I go back and show them to woman and she says that she di dnt say anything last time and just replaced them but can't replace them again. I am now waiting on glasses I ordered online and am now having to wear my sunglsses until those come in. I have been coming to this place since they first opened. The lack of customer care they showed me when I quietly tried to have them just fix it...your business is no longer needed. whomever is cutting these lenses doesn't know what they're doing. Own up to that.

They charged me $99 to put in $50 of supposedly thin lens into my Gucci frames. So the total was $149. However, after I got the glasses back, the lens were poking out on the sides. They are not thin. I went back to tell them but the lady said these high index lens is thinner than thick lens. That is not what I paid an additional $50 for. If someone had told me and I had known the “thin” lens would poke out, I wouldn’t have wasted $50. They didn’t do anything about my problem. I would have accepted a partial refund or at the very least an apology and that it wouldn’t happen again. I’m not going to this place again for lens. The most I’m going for is for annual glasses when my insurance covers one pair once a year (they charge you a lot when it hasn’t been a full year, plus you have very limited options for glasses) Anything else, I’m going to another glasses place.

Borderline fraud: 1. Called in to get contacts filled using a prescription they had given me. They said I could pass by to pick them up. When I told them that I have insurance, they said they can't give me contacts without another eye exam if I have insurance ( my prescription was still valid at this point and would remain valid for another 6- 7 months). I had to call my insurance company who said that they should fill it if my prescription is active and there is no requirement for another exam if my prescription is active at which point the shop caved in. Notice though that it was okay for me to get the contacts without an eye exam at the beginning when they thought I was paying cash, but things only changed when they realized I have insurance they can bill! 2. They said a box of contacts costs 45 $ and they provide 3 for the price of 2. So 180 $ would get you 6. If the 3 for 2 offer wasn't around, it would get you 4. So I tell them that they can charge my insurance which provides an allowance of 175 $ and I will pay the rest but they refused to provide any more than 2 boxes with insurance ( worth almost less than half the allowance insurance will pay). Complete scam. I feel bad for the average person who comes in to this store and is ripped out of hundreds of dollars if they don't know their coverage well.

My prescription was wrong I explained to them I can’t see they told me to give it some time I gave it time and now it’s like I don’t have glasses on because I still can’t see I see more without them with And I’m damn near blind worst eye doctor ever won’t be going back

This is the very first time I’m ever writing a review on ANYTHING, but this was an absolute must. I don’t know how these people are running a business. I’ve received the worst service of my life over here-came for color contacts and mentioned I want color contacts to the front desk receptionists, even asked which ones they have. The doctor didn’t ask which I want and gave me an exam for clear contacts. As a first time patient, I had no idea it’s a different test for clear/color so didn’t say anything and only found out when I wasn’t able to order color contacts online with their prescription. When I complained about why the doctor gave me clear contacts without even knowing what I want, they were soooooooo rude and the male employee gave me wrong info. When I complained that everyone’s giving me wrong info, the unknown lady (who REFUSED to say her name) said the employees are new and don’t know, aka they are hiring just anybody for the job (hence why I’m suffering). Anyways, now I have to go to New Jersey again, pay more for another exam for color contacts, then get tested for them and then receive my prescription which will take another few weeks. How ridiculous. Oh and when I wanted to ask her name again, she hung up while I was talking and they never picked up again. But as a customer, I was furious so called again until Neena picked up and she had no idea what’s going on. So whichever lady is not named Nina, is the one you shouldn’t deal with, if you do happen to be stupid enough to go here for anything. This place taught me the importance of reading reviews (everything else is also 1 star under their store). Please don’t go here. You will regret it financially and mentally. For any info, please message me and I can provide you more information as to why you shouldn’t be dumb and waste your money. Oh and worst part is that one employee admitted the mistake while the unknown lady (not Nina) came and defended herself while she sounded like she was coming from planet Venus because she was like ‘bottom line is you have to pay for another exam’ No, bottom line is-you are extremely unprofessional and disrespectful-and for the rest of my life (and I know many people in Jersey), I will warn people not to come here.
