I have purchased many glasses and contacts from this location and always get great service. I like that they take the time to give you personal service no matter how many people are there waiting. Every customer gets attention and great service. The prices are great and turn around is about 5 days on glasses and special order contacts. I highly recommend going to Costco Optical.

I returned contacts that were never used and requested them not be sent to my home. When I returned the items in their original shipping package Ms. Lisa J gave me a hard time about me turning the items after they where at the optical department for over a year. I made several attempts so tweak my contracts to get the correct combination. The Optical department did call several time within the year to let us know the contacts we their. I always responded that we have not gotten the correct combination for our contact and we were working with Doctor to tweak them. The last conversation was a call from Ms. Lisa J who said," if you don't to this today I will send the contacts to the address on fill." I called a couple hours after the call and told the young man to tell the manager that called not to send the contacts. Just send them back for a refund to our Flex spending account. He said he would give her the message. Yesterday I went to return the contacts and Ms. Lisa J said she was there then I left message not to send the contacts and that he told me that she sent the package already. That conversation didn't happen. He never told me that the package was sent. Ms. Lisa J refused to refund my money after I requested a refund several times. I continued to tell of my attempt so get the combination of contacts with the Doctor and that I just gave up and wanted a full refund of the purchase price the contacts. Finally you agreed to refund by money after I asked what is your policy and she said there wasn't any for this situation. She went on to ask if I still wanted to wear contracts and my reply was that this has been a horrible experience and I no longer wanted to attempt to wear contacts. She went on to say is was a horrible experience for us both. I feel that her approach of raising her voice, arguing, improper comments, shows her inability to be professional. I will never use that Optical department again.

I really like them - the team there (Lisa, Samantha, Jonathan, Kofi) really care that you're happy with your frames - I've spent over 45 minutes trying on 13 pairs of frames, and they gave me their honest opinion each time. They were also kind enough to sit with me and help me understand how to get the most out of my insurance, as they don't accept it. Selection: I actually liked the selection - you can talk to the team managing the optics center and they'll let you know when they get a new round of frames in. If you have the order number for a set you were looking at, they will be glad to order the frame (if it's available on backorder). I've not used the optometrist (I have to use an ophthalmologist), but the team spoke highly of her, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her. I had a very pleasant experience. Most important - I bought two pairs of glasses there for the cost of one pair!

My daughter went to Dr. Ye for an eye exam about 2 weeks ago and was thoroughly impressed with her. Dr. Ye listened to my daughter and was very thorough in her exam and was very pleasant and personable. Due to our daughter's strong recommendation, my wife and I decided to go see her since we were both due for our annual exams. Well, Dr Sarah Yi was working that day instead of Dr. Ye. Oh wow, was I impressed with Dr Yi! I had eye surgery on one eye a few years ago and had been having vision problems ever since. Not any more! Dr Yi listened, was very patient, and I can see perfectly again! So Happy! My wife loved her also. Overall great experience, since even the lady at the front desk was very personable and helpful. Thank you Doctors Yi and Ye! :)

Waited half an hour only to have another woman cut in front of me and then wait another 15 minutes to be told I don't have enough information for my contacts even though my optometrist called and said it would be fine. Worst Costco vision center I've gone to.

Would post as negative -5. Was here for maybe 40 minutes and car got broken in. Lots of valuable things stolen and car lock busted. No cameras and nothing they can do to help.

Good selection of frames and the service was adequate, but I couldn’t adjust to the lenses that were in the glasses and just never wore the glasses. Finally had the prescription tested at my ophthalmologist’s office, and the lenses were incorrect. They were for double vision! In short, if you can’t see out of the glasses, don’t accept “it will take a while to get used to them” as an answer.

Not helpful when I called to check if I can buy contact lenses from the store and requested the person to check if the brand I usually use is in stock. I actually am traveling to KCMO for a week and just happened to leave all my contacts at home but I have the prescription with me. However the gentleman insisted I come to the store when I offered to provide the prescription information at least first over the phone. Why would I waste time and money to uber to the store if you can just tell me if I can get any contact supplies from you?!

This review is for the vision center. If you plan on using insurance DO NOT USE THE VISION CENTER HERE! They are out of network and rely solely on fine print to tell you that. you will be paying for most of your exam.... The optical department has an okay selection but seems understaffed at times.

I am a first time glasses wearer. I couldn't be more pleased on how helpful they were in finding me the right frame and the right fit. She gave me good advice for lens maintenance and answered any questions I had.

Debi H. hooked up with some replacement lenses for my existing frames. I walked in mins before they were closing she didn’t rush me and provided excellent service. Further, I paid half the price that PH Mall wanted to charge me and she corrected my slightly bent frames + readjusted them —- love Costco and their employees!

I was scheduled a next day appointment, which I arrived for early, only to have a walk in go ahead of me. When I was finally called by Dr. Jones she proceeded to tell me that because I haven't worn glasses in 2+ years that she didn't feel comfortable examining me for contacts (because it was her preference) which I have been wearing since I was 17. It is very unprofessional to try to force your beliefs on to a customer who is paying for their beliefs. Glasses are not for everyone and neither are contacts, but if you schedule me an appointment for contacts I am expecting to get contacts service. It's ok to let the patient know about information but to deny someone service because of what you believe is very unprofessional. I will be keeping my Costco membership however I will never step foot in the Opthalmologist department.

My fiancee got an eye exam and ordered glasses today and came home raving about her experience at Costco. She said that Dr. Ye was thorough and very helpful with explaining her vision concerns. After her appointment she went to try on frames and had an excellent experience with Irene. She explained the products they offered and the sizing of the frames. She was enthusiastic and extremely helpful. It was great to work with someone that takes so much pride in their job and executed it with so much enthusiasm.

I found Dr. Paul Simmons to be the most caring and attentive optometrist in measuring the prescription for my eyes. I have been myopic for over 55 years and have had optometrists in a dozen States and countries. Nowhere have I found such an excellent doctor who meticulously and accurately investigates any abnormality in my vision. He is also very knowledgeable beyond optometry issues and can suggest proper specialists should he find any reason for concern. I strongly recommend Doctor Simmons in checking up your eyes' vision.
