..::UPDATE::.. A different gentleman who hadn't seen the glasses before(NOT THE OWNER) was working and actually saw the issue, problem has been resolved after 4 replacement lenses and being told "I dont see anything, but I guess I'll file a claim for new lenses" -- 11/11/18 - Glasses keep coming back scuffed and blow out lights in dark settings like driving or watching tv in a dark room. Keep being told that it's not him and it must be what we are doing even though the lenses are BRAND NEW have had them changed twice now and they keep coming out scuffed in about a thumb sized center run with vertical lines. Supposedly he looked at the latest ones under a microscope.. yet he missed the marks in the photos with red circles. Brand new lenses put in on 11/10/18, photos taken around 12am on 11/11/18

My family and I have been going to Eye Appeal for the last 6-8 years. They use quality products, and their service is second to none. As long as these guys stay open, and I live in this area, I will get our glasses made here.

Not good anymore. Very bad experience, deceptive and then insulting. The good guys left and started their own business in Amesbury.

In response to Kevin P. Your first review was unfortunately very inaccurate. I own Eye Appeal and we are a family owned optical shop of which my wife and daughter both work in the shop. We have been open for more than 15 years with no complaints as to our customer service. My daughter who is 13 was present in the store when you were making threats to me and my store. I am truly sorry about your bad experience but there is a proper way to fit contacts which requires a 1-2 week follow-up visit before the rx is finalized. At that time we certainly look at any issues you may have especially because of your astigmatism. The doctor (whom is a separate business located in my store) did refund the contact lens evaluation charges to you. Again I am truly sorry that you felt that our service was so bad that you needed to physically threaten my family and business.

The eye doctor that works here is very understanding and knowledgeable I like him. However the other side where I order my contacts has been a nightmare. From the UPS running over my contacts, from my order getting mixed up between them switching companies, that took 3 weeks to get one box. to the female manager who must just hate customers or customer service. It has not been fun dealing with her attitude, putting me on hold in the middle of a conversation, telling me I'm wrong and not being understanding whatsoever to the situation that's going on. again my contacts are late from the date that they said yes it's only one day this time but, he'll what's wrong with saying something like -----I'm sorry about that but I can assure you they are ready now we look forward to seeing you.---- just some nice customer service.

Don’t go to this place! Went here to get my eye exam done. Saw the doctor and he was helpful then they send you over to the desk to order your new glasses. The girl at the desk told me that my prescription changed but not much. She told me that I should get progressive lenses so that I would be able to read better. I told her that I was not worried about the reading part and would wear reading glasses. Told her that I just wanted regular glasses to see like my old ones did. I ordered my lenses and they came in a week later. When I wear them now I can only see distance and can’t see over the hood of my truck. She never explained that I would not be able to see to drive with them. She was more concerned with rushing me to look at frames so she could help the other customers. I am not a doctor and didn’t know what she was giving me all I was told was that progressive lenses would help with reading. I went back thinking that they would fix them because they don’t work and all unless I want to look at trees in the distance but can’t see a car in front of me. What I got when I went back was an attitude from the owner saying that I was told what I was buying. Not sure how he knows what she explained to me since he was not there when I was described what progressive was. They don’t care about customer satisfaction and are horrible at explaining to a customer what they are buying. I will tell everyone to stay away from this place. If you need a good eye doctor go to Hampton.

We took a prescription there to get sunglasses because we wanted Oakley Sunglasses. They had a great selection, helped choose the right color and style for the prescription and for fishing and also adjusted my mothers glasses for her for free. They were really nice, helpful and efficient!

The new Doctor is awful. He messed up my prescription beyond repair. The owner Dave told me to take my business elsewhere when they realized that they had messed up. This place has awful customer service as well as eye service. They use to be good before everyone left the company. The only two people there now are terrible. They took my money and never helped me. Be careful at this business, especially with an eye exam. The doctor is awful.

This is the place to go for excellent service and superior eyeglasses. My eye doctor was seriously impressed when she examined my glasses made at Eye Appeal. I have a difficult prescription and have wasted plenty of money on glasses from the usual chain places that were simply not made well enough. Instead of settling for "okay", go to Eye Appeal and get "awesome". I just re-read what I wrote and have to say, they are not paying me to write this! I'm just so happy to be able to see well again.

Both my gf and I have been long time contact lens wearers and going to eye doctors for many years. I went to a dr in Hampton 2 months ago and was not very happy. I suggested my gf to go to Eye Appeal after doing some searching. I came to the appointment with her and we were both very impressed with the dr's knowledge and demeanor which was quite the opposite of my experience in Hampton. It was a very thorough exam. On top of it. my gf paid half of what I paid in Hampton for her contact exam which was also a pleasant surprise. The guy at the front working in the glasses section was also very helpful and walked us through ordering glasses and the many different options that we can choose from. My gf ended up getting a pair and some contacts. Overall very happy with this place. We both will be coming back next year.

I absolutely LOVE Eye Appeal! The doctor is pleasant and kind. Chelsea and Justin are knowledgeable and extremely helpful with fitting and selecting the right frames. I just got a pair of new Casino frames and I am in love with them. I’ve been going for over a year and I will continue to recommend them to everyone in need. The owner Dave is great!

Eye appeal is owned and operated by two brothers. Their love for their business is evident. They are caring professionals who helped me through the tragic realization that I need TRIFOCALS. After the initial shock wore off, Scott helped me pick out a pair of trendy "but not over the top" glasses that took away the sting of my eyes getting older. Their frame selection is phenomenal, from your Oakley to Helium, even Harley Davidson. They have bargain frames, and some amazing latest technology frames. My husband is in the trades and very hard on his glasses, Dave carefully chose him a pair of handsome yet near indestructible pair of Helium frames. After going through a pair of Costco frames every couple of months, my husband finally had a durable, good looking, pair of frames that lasted over a year. My son was fitted for contacts and picked out a pair of frames that not only suited the shape of his face, but also his personality. I'm in love with my Eye Doctor, he's a gentle soul, very thorough, and never impatient. He manage's my husband's diabetic eye care. To put it in proper perspective, I work a few floors up from a wonderful eye care provider. Yet, I travel over an hour to Seabrook to see the brother's at Eye Appeal. Their product and customer service are that good!!! Plus they are in a Walmart Mall, next to a supermarket, not far from the Home Depot and a Starbucks. It's worth the trip.

I was disappointed last time. I’ve been coming here for years and the last time I was there the doctor was cold and standoffish and the front of the store was just horrible. They were about to close Bc of the long weekend coming and so they made me feel extremely rushed Bc I sensed they wanted to get out of there as fast as possible so I said I’d just look st a frames when I came back in for my Contact lens “follow up” Mind you I’ve worn them contacts for 20 years now so think I know what works and doesn’t. THEN they tell me AFTER the fact That I will owe $90 for the contact fitting because it is considered cosmetic and my insurance doesn’t cover it meanwhile I had already put the contact lenses in my eyes and didn’t have much of a choice at that point so I was it 90 deep and I’m about to leave without an appointment for the future that was months ago I don’t have any contacts or glasses currently and I hate to call them back but I guess I’ll have to. that I will owe $90 for the contact fitting because it is considered cosmetic and my insurance doesn’t cover meanwhile I had already put the contact lenses in my eyes and didn’t have much of a choice at that point so I was it 90 deep and I’m about to leave without an appointment for the future that was months ago I don’t have any contacts or glasses currently and I hate to call them back but I guess I’ll have to. I’d like to just transfer everything out of there I think that it’s a big money suck and they try to get every penny they can are you buy all of these crazy fees and wanting you to buy the context of them and all that also I was reading that and I doctor can write a prescription for glasses for two years if they want to they just don’t because $$$$. Eye appeal has become quite unappealing .

The eye doctor was okay, cold and uncaring, much like dining at McDonalds and calling it “high class”. The sales associates were only interested in getting customers to spend extra money. They were not accurate and actually lied regarding the quality of the lenses. When I asked to downgrade the replacement lenses (that had to be replaced after only a couple of months because of the horrible quality; that also took several months for them to accomplish) I was told it would cost me an additional $270 to have a coating not put on the new lenses as I was misled by their sales associate. I would NOT recommended using them to anyone as they are not trustworthy, reliable or customer service oriented!!!!! They do not care about their customers satisfaction AT ALL!!!!!!
