After my cataract surgery I was referred here to get my glasses. Becky recommended non glare lenses due to the fact that i was even more sensitive to light and glare after my surgery. She also recommended sunglasses and I ended up buying both, but I only paid for 1 pair because I was able to get buy one get one free and then my Medicare paid even more on top of the one pair I paid for. I was very pleased with her service and taking the time to help me.

Just like Ciro. The first time I came here I got a pair of glasses for about $150, they worked great until they fell apart one year later. I came back 2 years later and they had this 2 for 1 "deal" in which they tried to charge me $558 for one pair of glasses with all of the same fixings as my last pair. It was $1000 before insurance, wow. I asked why it was so expensive and they said my insurance change caused a price increase. Im aware of that but Im not buying it. I went to Sams Club the next day and got an equally nice pair of glasses with all the same lense features for $220! I dont know exactly what the deal was but they definitely lost my business from now on.

I lost a nose pad for my glasses while travelling. I dropped into Visionworks in Mesilla Valley Mall to see if they did repairs. The awesome person behind the desk (I wish I had gotten her name!) found a suitable replacement and fixed them on the spot. She even gave me a couple of spares "just in case". Then I learned that they do repairs like this for free! You can't beat service like that!

Customer service was terrible. I have Davis Vision insurance and I asked one of the ladies to look up what was covered because Davis Vision had two different tiers, normal and premiere. The female associate who helped us was "kind of sure" about the tiers. I asked her to look it up and she responded that she was completely sure she knew what the tiers meant and refused to look up our insurance. Come to find out, the frames she said were covered weren't and she had to do some 'back-door' computering to keep good on her word for what she "knew" it was supposed to be. She refused to honor it for my wife's glasses though. We went to Costco. Costco has the exact same Michael Kors glasses for $89 which Vision Works was charging $189. Vision Works is a ripoff and completely unprofessional from my dealings with them. *8/27/16 uldate: Also lost my glasses while out of town last month and they refused to fax a dr's office my glasses info. I filed on OCR complaint for the HIPAA violation of not providing me my own personal information. Hopefully they are fined heavily and I can also sue for monetary damages.

Nacy at reception at the optometrist was extremely friendly and handled everything very professionally and with a great attitude, the Dr was relaxing, usually I get nervous during exams but talked with me about college and got my mind off him being so close to my eyes, lol. Janie over at the actual vision works was so helpful in picking the right frame, a lot with other staff because I’m so indecisive. She seemed eager to help and had a fantastic attitude. My glasses were done so quick too!! 10/10 going back for next appointment!!

All of the guys at Visionworks here are fantastic. Josh was the one to help me out with my glasses. After I took 10 years to pick out my frames the rest of the process was pretty quick and easy. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the other guy working with Josh. They were all very friendly and it was fun joking around with them. Excellent customer service! I was there on the 26th and I picked up my glasses on the 27th in the evening. Also, Visionworks seems to always have a better selection of frames than any of the other places I have been. worse experience ever, I got my new glasses I cant see out of them, bifocals to high, and they dont adjust very well, then I go back get a new exam, they adjust the prescription, I get my new glasses, again they cant adjust, so I go to a different place to get them adjusted to fit well, and I still cant see out of them. Ridiculous, so here I sit brand new glasses I cant use. I used up my unsurance for this and now going to have to pay 100% out of my pocket if I have to go somewhere else to get new ones. I think they should have to pay for me to go somewhere else if they cant get this right, and they wont. So now I wait a year

The quickest eye test I have ever had in my 13yr of wearing glasses. I ask the her (Eye Doctor) why so quick? she has no explanation. My conclusion is because is $45.There were alot of people waiting in the lobby to take advantage of the sales going on. Its lie sit down and stand of kind of eye exam. Will not go back to that shop.

Incredible Customer Service !! - For over 15 years I have purchased my glasses at Lenscrafters....NEVER AGAIN! I visited Visionworks in Seekonk to check them out because it was close to my house. I stopped in on a Saturday around 4:00 and did not realize they were closing soon. I was greeted with a friendly smile but was not attacked by the salespeople. After a little while of browsing I was greeted by Deb. She asked if I had any questions. I told her that I had a new prescription and I was looking for a new pair of glasses and I was leaving on a business trip on Monday. She did inform me that they wouldn't be able to get them to me that day, but they would be ready for me before my flight on Monday morning. I decided to get a pair of prescription sunglasses to take advantage of their buy 1 get one free offer. Deb ran the numbers on my purchase a few different ways to get me the best deal. When it all shook out I spent about $350 on a pair of brand name glasses and lenses and a pair of Nike Sunglasses. When I went to pick up my glasses, I had a tight time crunch to catch a flight. I stopped in and I met Deb and she had a dilemma...my glasses that the lab made that morning went missing. She could not find them anywhere..............but that wasn't an issue for Deb.....She went right to the lab and made me a brand new pair within 10 minutes. She know I had a flight to catch and she dropped everything so I would have my new glasses for my meeting. - ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! - My story doesn't end here.......I realized that although my new glasses were made perfectly to my new prescription, they did not feel quite right. I went to have my eyes examined again and realized the my eye Dr. wrote me an incorrect prescription. UGH!! - I just spent $ 350 for glasses that were not right for me because my eye doctor screwed up! I went back to Visionworks to see how much it was going to cost me to get another set of lenses for my new frames and I was informed by Jessica, the manager that she would order me new lenses for both pairs of glasses and I would have them in a week...for FREE! - You could imagine my surprise - Well I received a call this morning from Deb letting me know that my lenses were in and if I came in today they would cut them to my frames. I stopped in and 20 minutes after I got there I left the building with 2 brand new sets of lenses in my correct prescription - AT NO COST to me.. Even though they made my glasses perfectly to my prescription the first time around, they made me new lenses when my eye doctor is the one who messed them up! - I will guarantee you I will never go anywhere else for glasses again and I will also tell anyone who wants to listen to me what a phenomenal experience I had with Deb at Visionworks in Seekonk. I purchased glasses for my daughter a couple of weeks ago. Her glasses are so cute, because they they have such a great variety of frames to choose from. The staff was so helpful with their recommendations. She has a high prescription for her lenses and likes the transitions so since I know they cost more I was relieved when I was quoted the price. It was well within budget. We'll definitely be returning here!

I arrived there today at about 5:05-10pm. There was a very nice lady who told me that someone would be with me in a moment. 15-minutes later that same lady apologized for the delay and said someone would be with me in a moment. By 6pm, I was still waiting and was becoming frustrated. My current glasses were purchased there and I had returned to buy a new set since my last experience had been A+. Several people came in after I did and were waiting to see someone - some of which took it upon themselves to take a seat in at the consultation desk(s) without being directed there. I left at 6:09pm very irritated that I had stood in there for an hour without ANYONE coming to me and asking what I needed or how they could help. I am 70-80% certain that someone (not the lady I referenced above) assisted another person who came in after me without ever acknowledging me. I should have left after 30-minutes and went elsewhere but, unfortunately, I wasted my time today and will not be using this location again even though I was VERY happy with them previously and a friend of mine had also used them, too. It appears that the name change was more than just a name change.

SCAM ALERT!! Even if you fill out that paperwork that says you DO NOT want their eye scan they will do it anyways! And it's not covered by insurance. The employees are totally half brain dead, rude, and they fool around like children. After my exam I went to talk to someone about my insurance and he was so obviously stoned out of his mind that he literally couldn't answer simple questions.

While I was working at a different company than I am now, someone I worked with told me about how great Visionworks in Salem was and I decided to give it a try. I live in Concord, but I grew up in Salem so I had no problem combining eye appointments with seeing old friends or family in the area. About a month ago, I was in the area and decided to order more contacts. Last week, I called them because it seemed like it was taking a while to arrive to my house. Unfortunately, they confirmed that it had been delivered, but I had never gotten them. Meaning, someone in my complex must have taken them. While I never asked them to do anything about it because I knew it wasn't their fault, they found a way to replace my contacts and send them to the Concord location. I am picking them up later this afternoon! While I'm sure the people at the Concord location are just as phenomenal, I've been saying for two years now that I'll gladly drive all the way to Salem because it's refreshing to find people who truly care about their clients and to know that I matter! I can't say enough good things about this place and the people who work here!

Visionworks at Valley River Mall, in Eugene Or, is really the only place I go when I need glasses. They recently moved their location in the mall, but Mercedes is still there, waiting to help you with your eye~glass needs. She is always so helpful, and if she can save you any money , she will. WOW! What can I say about the staff, other than they're amazing and friendly! They all take time to say hello and check in on you. The staff is knowledgeable and takes the time to make sure you're satisfied and looking good! The doctors office in the back is the exact same! Friendly, and they take the time to make sure everything is done to your level of satisfaction. The store has a large variety of frames and options for your needs. I'm picky when it comes to glasses and styles, and they were able to easily fulfill my needs.

I ordered a pair of glasses after an appointment, just for them to lose them.... So I ordered the same pair same prescription. (Mind you I have the same prescription in each eye). So this second pair Icome in to receive has one lens corrected, and I can't see out the other... They put the wrong prescription on one of the lenses... THEN I come in a 3rd time. For some reason they set me up with a 3rd check. When I told them they put thw wrong prescription in my glasses. They wouldn't agree with me... I want compensation! They were expensive glasses and I still dont even have them a month and half later. Nonetheless they are have a very polite staff and took care of it... Just very inconvenient for me :/

My experience at visionworks seekonk was phenomenal, to say the least. I was in a few weeks ago and took advantage of the buy-one-get-one-free. I purchased a pair of readers and a pair of sunglasses. The staff is friendly and helpful. The manager, Jessica was very helpful picking out my frames. I usually hate frame shopping but she made it a joy. I've had awful luck with finding an optometrist that works. My experience here has been nothing but amazing. The wait time was a little long but not unbearable and the receptionists were polite and helpful. The optometrist that saw us was knowledgeable and the service was fantastic. He talked to us about many things and we loved knowing about our eye health. We were offered sample contacts to see if we liked the fit as well as sample solution. Amazing service, selection and store. While visiting our folks this week, my brother fell and broke his glasses. Looked up Visionworks as source for same-day glasses in Greenville (bonus: office for eye exam next door!). Arrived just after they opened, got my brother lined up for the eye exam while I met with Kevin to explore frame options and get preliminary info into system. Long story short, we had brand new glasses in hand by 4pm same day. Reasonable prices, great quality, stellar service and happy brother. Oh, and since my brother transitioned to progressive lenses for the first time, Kevin took the time to give him a mini-tutorial in adjusting to them! So impressed, I'll be looking for a Visionworks near where I live in Ohio for the next time I need new glasses. As a result both the sunglasses and the regular glasses have made my world crystal clear. Although we paid more than other retailers it appears that the product, service and quality of glasses from Visionworks is worth the cost.

Went to Visionworks today after checking two or three other places. They had by far the best selection of frames and the representative that I worked with was fantastic. Josh let me take my time looking at the frames and offered me very constructive advice and help when I asked for it. They already knew how to pull up my insurance information when I told them where I worked so it was really easy to make sure I was getting the right benefits. Josh was very knowledgeable and had the right blend of easygoing friendliness and professionalism. I did not encounter anything negative at all during the visit and would highly recommend Visionworks as a great place to go to get glasses. Incompetent staff. I wish I could give this place negative star. My husband has been waiting for almost 4 (FOUR) months for his contact lenses only to be told that they didn't have them. When we first went there we had to wait an hour or so just to make sure everything was okay and we were told it was. We waited a few weeks and came back and was told they will call us the next day first thing in the morning by the receptionist of the clinic. She never did. Today, after almost four months, my husband came back again and was told they never have submitted the order and that's it. No explanation, no apologies for their failure to do their job. Just that they didn't submit the order, we know it is covered by insurance and we do have great insurance. They just didn't submit the order for the contact lenses and that is it. What a bunch of incompetent jerks. They could have called us and let us know that they failed to do it, but NO. They reassured us it was okay when we went there and then made us wait all this time for nothing. Stay away from this place.

The staff was amazing and helpfull. My daughter broke her glassess when we were on vacation. She needed a new pair and i had no insurance. Their glassess deal looked perfect. My daughter needed an eye exam also. The older doctor was awesome!! The doctor found a problem with my daughters eyes, that her regular doctor hadent found. We worked with a guy named craig, he was awesome. He was very friendly, helped my daughter pick out a pair of frames she loves, and funny. My daughter loved him, and you know how 11 year olds can be. Her glassess were made the same day and it is amazing how much better she can see. She was so happy. Craig was amazing. I was talking to him about my glassess i bought somewhere else. I explained i was having a problem seeing out of them, even though they were only a few months old, and he took a look at them. He found out with my proggresive lenses that they were never set in frames correctly and didnt line up with the pupil like they should. Craig made a few adjustments and i was able to see much better. I appreciate how helpfull craig was to me and my daughter. I would defenitely reccomend.

This was the worst experience I've ever had with an optometrist. This doctor--I believe his name is Sneed--was so condescending and rude I was unable to sit through five minutes with him. Since it had been a year and a half since my last eye exam (instead of the typical one year renewal period,) the doctor went on a diatribe about how he couldn't enable me in my "abuse of [my] corneas." He asked me what I thought the term "extended-wear contacts" meant, and belittled my response by telling me to envision a company came out with a brand new Ziploc bag people could sleep in overnight and asking me if I would buy one and give it a try. All I could say to him was "wow" as I got out of the chair and exited the room. If you, like I, have no vision insurance and want to spend $120 you've been scrimping and scraping to save on being made to feel small and worthless over your inability to afford more frequent medical care, this doctor is your guy.

I even called Ray Ban themselves and they weren't any help. Went here because I needed an eye test done as soon as possible, and they were the first place I called that said they could do it that day. The test was short, and I had to fill out a form that had questions I found unnecessary. (Gender, occupation, medications - maybe the last one is good to have because it's a medical thing, but I still don't find it relevant) The doctor seemed fine, and he also asked me my occupation, which seems to me like collecting information to see if they can charge you more or try and upsell you more. The test itself was maybe 10 - 15 minutes long, which is the quickest one I've ever had. He didn't take a lot of time to check if the results were right, and I felt more rushed with the questions than I have before. After the test, I went to pay for it (30$) and they pushed for me to get glasses there. I told them no. Overall a little irritating and uncomfortable, but at least I got it done quickly and it was fairly cheap. Today I got my glasses from Costco after waiting a week, and my glasses were definitely worse than my last prescription. I really feel like if the doctor had taken his time this wouldn't have happened. They're definitely enough to basically be able to see, but not 20/20 certainly. I would definitely go somewhere else if you can.

My visit was due to needing a minor repair on my glasses that I bought from a competitor, which I will never return too because they were not friendly and refused to help me. But not Jessica. Parking lot was packed Saturday and store was busy but the staff were very friendly, open, and went out of their way to make sure all customers were taken care of. The on site doctor and waiting room staff were helpful and personable and when it came to pick out and buying new glasses—the sales staff were no less. I personally witnessed the store manager go out of her way to take the time to make sure customers found glasses they liked despite how picky they were or how late in the buying process they were. This meant I had to wait a few minutes occasionally but worth the wait—all customers were given quite a bit of personal attention. Even wrote down my PD without me asking for it. One star is too many but can't enter no stars. I've been there a couple times and had decent service, but I must not be a valuable customer. I rarely go to the mall but I stopped by on Tuesday 10-4-16 at 9:35 am because most retail locations are open at 9am. The mall was open and the overhead mesh gate was closed at Visionworks. I asked the two people working there if I could pick up my glasses that were supposedly in stock. They both told me "No" because they open at 10am. Poor service and I'll never go back.

She was incredibly patient with me while I tried 50 different pairs of glasses the first time. Extremely overpriced poor quality glasses. I had to take them back to the McDonough, Ga location twice before they got the left lens to fit the frame properly. I paid $200 for one pair and that was supposedly 55% off the regular price! They wanted $90-$110 for anti glare coating! I will NEVER purchase anything there again. I ordered 2 pairs from Zenni Optical online that included progressive lenses, anti scratch, and anti glare. I also had one pair tinted. Total price $ 72.80 for both pairs. I was so pleased with Zenni! They were made right the first time. I have decided to put the over priced Visionworks pair in a drawer for a spare and wear the Zennis which are far superior glasses. Think twice before spending money at Visionworks...

First of all the lady who helped me was new this was my first pair of glasses since I was a kid I asked him to price out a single pair of glasses with the lens in the frame and then she told me that it would be way cheaper to do the two frames for $59.95 well when all is said and done it was the same price as a single pair that I really liked. I had to go to work so I told you I would return that evening which I did can I purchase a single pair that I really liked them for me that they would be ready the next day at 5 p.m. and when I returned it was the wrong glasses she argued with me and told me that they weren't she told me that I had to wait and come back the next day. In July of 2012, my wife and myself purchased two pairs of glasses under Vision Works buy one pair and get a second for free. The clerk assured us that we would only half to pay a small co-pay. Well about a month later we received a statement from our insurance company. It turned out that the insurance co was the one only paying a small portion of the balance. Our out of pocket expense ended up being 423 dollars on a 523 balance. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU check with your insurance co first.They will tell you what you want to hear to sell glasses. Additionally, we ordered Transitions lenses and paid extra for them. When we received the glasses something seemed to be wrong about the transitions lenses, we just figured that we just thought there wasn't enough sunlight for the glasses to darken. Today I went to have my frames adjusted and inquired about the transitions lenses. The clerk checked them under some sort of special light and sure enough, they were not transitions lenses. The clerk checked our account to see if we had paid for transitions lenses and it showed we had indeed paid for them on both pairs. The clerk then went and spoke to the manager who came over with a different set of frames and said that these were the frames we ordered and that they did not sell frames like mine and never have and that these were not the pair we purchased there. I replied that I was not in the habit of buying extra pairs of glasses and that this was just not possible. They refused to budge on the matter and just let me leave the store without trying to resolve anything. Never again will I have anything to do with these double talking liars and would advice anyone else to do the same.

Their hours are great for working parents of a kiddo who is constantly needing his glasses adjusted and repaired. Love their selection when getting new frames. I have purchased many pairs of glasses at all three local locations of this chain over the past 8 or 9 years and have never been disappointed, but the Charleston store is my favorite by far. The manager is incredibly sweet and always super helpful and honest when helping me choose frames. They also always take the time to explain the latest and best options for lens treatments and upgrades, and the advantage to each. Their prices are also great and they accept a lot of insurances- I’ve had three different ones in the time I’ve been going there and they have accepted all of them. The first time I got my glasses there was okay the second time the lenses were scratched so they had to repair them now I went to go use my warrantee that I bought for my new pair to repair and replace the lenses that I have. Horrible experience for me. I had my eye exam on 12/31. I had gone to a different VW location the year prior, so I gave this location my records from that visit. The doctor ultimately ended up ordering 2 different types of samples, one that I had previously been prescribed to at that location by a different doctor and the one that I had been in for the past year. He signed off on them both, leaving it up to me to decide which one to order. I went with the brand that I had been in for the past 12 months since it made sense. I have been experiencing some irritation, so I went in for an office visit on Monday. The doctor told me that my contacts were poisonous to my eye and that I had a pretty bad case of GPC that was probably brewing for a year or so. He wanted me to switch to dailies temporarily and go get Alaway drops. I called the following day to try to make sense of things a bit. I was told by the GM that the doctor was out of the office, but I should hear back that day still. I called back later because I still hadn't heard anything. I was told by the woman that the GM wasn't there and I would be lucky if I heard back from the doctor before he was back in the office on Friday. Mind you, I only had a 5-day trial of dailies at this point, was terrified to put my other contacts in, and had no idea how I was going to see in the foreseeable future since these would run out and shipping takes time. So, against my better judgment, I asked the woman on the phone some of what was confusing me so I could at least try to move forward with purchasing what I needed to to get by... like, how is the doctor telling me that my other contacts are poisonous to my eyes and this problem has been brewing for some time when he just saw me and signed a prescription for them? And why is he asking me to get Alaway when it's an antihistamine/do I just have allergies? She was extremely rude to me and argued with me for a good 20 minutes about my medical history, insisting I had been in another contact brand and she was concerned about how I was able to order these other contacts this year or the previous year. I reminded her that her doctor signed off on this prescription, and she insisted that wasn't the case despite me saying I had the prescription in front of me with his signature on it. She proceeded to argue about why I was in those to begin with the prior year. I reminded her that I provided them with copies of my records from my other visit. She then said that's not their doctor's fault I was put into those contacts and that I was in other contacts at their office previously. No, ma'am, it's not his fault that I was switched to a different lens by a different doctor. But it is your doctor's responsibility to do a thorough exam and be confident with what he authorizes as a prescription. Also, what I was fit for in your office 3 years ago under an entirely different doctor is not relevant whatsoever. I finally just asked if she had a # for me to speak to someone in corporate. She tried to connect me back with the GM who had already at this point not followed up with me. I said I would prefer the number for someone at corporate because none of what just happened seemed professional or like what should occur at a medical office. She asked me, "What just happened?" It is now Friday when the doc was set to be back. I have not heard from anyone. I know they have my correct contact information. I updated it on my form at the time of my visit and gave it again on Tuesday. I called back to speak to the GM and was told he's on vacation. The real kicker is that I had to actually go pay to see another person to get a grasp on what is going on since I could not get a response from this office within a reasonable time frame FOR A MEDICAL EMERGENCY. The new doctor confirmed that this definitely would have been visible in December during my exam and that the Alaway drops I bought were a waste of money because this is not an allergy situation. My visit on Monday and in December would warrant a refund at any business with integrity, but we'll see.

They let me have the time i needed to learn how to put contacts in. A much less intimidating experience at the mall than going to the hospital. I really like Visionworks.

Thee most incompetent optometrist in all of Lancaster county. Dont waste your time. It took over 6 months and 4 tries to get my prescription correct and ive never had any trouble anywhere else in my 20 yrs of wearing glasses. After FINALLY getting it almost correct i get an eye infection and attempt to make an appointment to be seen one last time by them. All i needed was some eye drops. I am compleatly turned away and told to go to a specialist i cant afford or to the ER. ANY other optometrist in lancaster would have been able to see me and diagnose, not Vision Works though. Apparently and i quote they "dont have the technology to determine such things"... I will never be going back and i will make sure that every one i know with glasses or contacts knows about how worthless this establishment is. What a joke.

Worst experience with an eye dr ever. These people have no idea what's going on, ever. The dr can't perform an eye exam properly it's been 7 months since the initial exam and still the script is wrong after multiple visits. Contacts are wrong glasses script is incorrect. And all that aside the refuse to see "emergency patients" my husband has an eye infection and instead of seeing him they want us to go to the er. If the eye dr can't prescribe eye drops for an infection we have an issue. This place is a joke they legit told us they don't have the technology to look at his eye and tell its infected. I'm sure he got the infection from the poor quality contacts they provided. I will never return or take my children to this location. I'd rather drive an hour or pay for an eye exam than return to this office. Trust me and just pay to go to lenscrafters.

This is my first time going to Visionworks and will also be my last. I really wish I would have read their reviews before I went there, but my son had to have his glasses and I really didn't have the time to shop around. I usually go to Eyemart for my glasses and will from here on out. The only reason we didn't get his glasses at Eyemart was because they didn't have his lenses in stock. This is my son's first year wearing glasses full-time. I didn't think about transition lenses at the time because I wear contacts and have since I was 12, so it didn't dawn on me that he wouldn't be able to wear sunglasses this year. Today is two months to the day that I spent almost $400 in that store for glasses. The price of the frames were triple the price of the ones he wanted from Eyemart, but since they had the buy one, get one deal I went ahead and got them. On my way home from work I called them and over the phone they told me that it would be $90 to switch one pair of lenses to transition lenses so he would have at least one pair to wear that would cover the sunglasses part. I work in Charleston and live in St. Albans. I was on my way to St. Albans to pick up my kids when I called them. I then turned right back around and went all the way back to Charleston to drop the glasses off. When I got there they told me it would be over $300 to get just the lenses replaced in one pair of frames. They only have a 30 day customer satisfaction guarantee, so after that 30 days I guess they don't care if the customer is satisfied or not. Then she said that they don't have any deals on just lenses, only complete pairs of glasses, so she grabbed a pair of glasses to see what it would cost me to buy a whole pair of glasses with lenses too. Mind you, this would be the third pair of glasses I bought from them within two months with the same prescription. So it would be ridiculous to think that a 10 year old boy would need 3 pairs of glasses, but ok I will allow you to check. So she checks, all the while having an attitude with me like I did something wrong. So if I bought a third pair of glasses from them it would have been over $200. I am a single mom without eye care insurance, so I don't have a whole lot of money to start with, so I just said we will make due with what we have. I did call Eyemart by the way and there policy is that if you get the glasses done there you can just pay for an upgraded lense. If they had told me the price when I first called I never would have mentioned it to my 10 year old son in the first place. You should have seen the look on his face when I told him it just couldn't be done. Thank you Visionworks for disappointing my young son.

Customer service was NONE! After waiting more then two hours just to have service, sales rep was beyond rude. With so many competitors within the area, don't bother with this place. After the service rep tried to force me buy an upgrade that I refused, he told me I could go somewhere else. Won't be spending my money here.

The staff was so patient and accommodating. My mom went and found glasses, and while they waited for me, they found glasses that my mom knew I would like. They waited patiently the whole time. They also found the exact color that I love. My glasses came in quicker than expected. They helped me get the fit right. Had an appointment at 11:15, the lady put about four people ahead of us and didn’t even finish putting in our information. Took two hours to get finished. Had a full exam but she didn’t tell the doctor that I wanted contacts. Once we were checking out, she didn’t tell us everything we were paying for so once we asked to see what it was we were paying for, she got very aggravated and impatient.

I had a great experience with the Visionworks store in Seekonk, MA. I stopped in on a Thursday to check the place out and possibly make an appointment. I was greeted right away and assisted within a minute. I was able to book an appointmet for the following day. They emailed me an appointment confirmation within the hour and it had a simple online process for giving them insurance information. I arrived for my appointment and was again greeted immediately and taken back to wait for the eye exam. I was seen promptly and my vision evaluated thoroughly. I was taken back out front where I was assisted in choosing frames. It was a delightful process. Afrer making my selection the representative, Shaunna, walked me through my insurance benefits and worked out all of the pricing that I requested. She was thorough and patient through all of my scenarios. She explained that my order would be ready in a few weeks and that if it was ready early they would call. I look forward to getting my new prescription and frames. My new glasses were ready one week ahead of schedule. I walked in and again was greered right away. I was assisted within a minute. The woman, Leslie, I think, made sure the glasses fit properly and gave me some reading material to test them. The fit, feel and work well. I will most likely return soon for the buy one get one deal.

Even after I figured everything out in the parking lot and went back in to rebook they said they would check it “a couple days before”. I guess they don’t care about wasting your time. No one wears name tags, so good luck with that. Girl that answered the phone said they take VSP insurance. When I get there she calls the insurance to verify coverage, but since I didn't have my son's last 4 of his social she hung up and said she couldn't get the information for me. I'm the policy holder, I have the same vision insurance as he does, just check mine or get a live representative on the phone and ask them. Still she claims she just couldn't do anything. Finally another person comes up to her and tells her to get an actual person from the insurance company on the phone and ask them. Geniuses, right? Anyway, long story short they wouldn't sell me the glasses because the doctor his prescription was from wasn't a VSP doctor. So what? I would have paid full price without insurance because my son loved the glasses. She just didn't feel like doing any sort of work or putting in any effort so we left to go elsewhere. I've used this place personally for my glasses and I will never again come back here. Bad customer service is putting it nicely.

Wow! I just got hung up on because I refused to give my cell phone number to the optician staff! I had an appointment that I needed to cancel. So, I called in just to do that. The woman on the phone was incredibly pushy, trying to get my cell number. I realize that it's great for a business to have all your numbers. But, it's not great to be bullied into giving out a number that you keep for private use! I refused multiple times before I finally blurted out, "I just want to cancel my appointment!" (I was not rude and I didn't yell. I was just very firm and to the point.) The two stars are, one: because you can't give zero stars; and two: because it was easy to get the original appointment quickly.

I haven't purchased glasses for several years and I was really nervous on purchasing new ones. Through the entire process Laura was very helpful and patient with me, with my questions and concerns and assisting me with my insurance. My glasses came a lot quicker than expected and I couldn't be more happier with the results. The staff when I picked up my glasses were very friendly and Laura recognized me right when I walked in. I definitely will be returning.

Seekonk ladies are amazing I was greeted as soon as I walked in. They helped me feel comfortable as I was making my selection. They explained what they didn’t like and what they liked about each pair I picked to help me make my final choice. What I loved the most was that I was able to walk out of the store feeling more confident in myself once I had my new glasses the same day. It was amazing all options were explained to me and although I’m sure they work on some sort of commission they were not pushy. I felt like they really wanted to please me and get me into a pair of glasses that looked great and was affordable. I will be back again when I need a new pair.

Don't go here. The glasses I bought were essentially unusable. I complained and was told the prescription I had (from the University) must have been bad. I then (stupidly) paid for a new prescription from their on-site optometrist, and the glasses were still unusable. They refused to change anything since they said the prescription was fine. I ultimately went to Warby Parker. The glasses from Warby were perfect on the first try, like every other glasses store I've ever gone to in my entire life before Vision Works.

I would definitely not try them back again. I ordered two pairs of glasses on a Sunday and I was told they will be mailed to me and I should receive them by Wednesday, which was sooner than the day I could pick them up. I didn't ask for shipping, they offered! and I waited till the next Friday, before actually calling and checking what happened with the package. They gave me the tracking number and told me it usually takes 7 -10 days for the packages to be delivered, (then I was annoyed because the lady told me something else) I called the UPS, they claimed apartment number is missing on the shipment address. Called vision works again, Annalene tried to help, she couldn't find me in the system for the first 10 minutes of the call ( I have a hard name, but still easily find-able after spelling) , she finally checked the UPS packages to find me and tell me that the apt number is on the package, while I was on the phone with her I had to get a call from UPS to schedule a pick up with them, call with vision works dropped, I called back, they put me on hold for 10 more minutes. I hung up but I made sure to put this review here. but definitely not a good experience, specially with something you need and you paid a lot for. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO GET ANYTHING SHIPPED TO YOU FROM THIS PLACE!

Shirley is fantastic! When we walked in, she greeted us with a warm, genuine smile. She was with another client and she suggested we look around for a few minutes. As soon as I saw her, I could tell she was nice and knew her stuff! I am glad that Shirley was the one that helped us buy glasses today. Receptionist by the name of Karen treated me as if I was her child on the phone. She was contradictory to everything I asked or said. Would not let me ever finish a sentence, she kept interrupting me and cutting me off as soon as she thought she knew what I was going to say or ask. Then when I asked to schedule a eye exam for only contact lenses (so I could just get off the phone with that horrendous female) she said "no we can not do that, you have to get the exam for eye glass lenses and prescription contacts", I explained nicely to her I could not afford it and only wanted to pay out of pocket for a contact lens exam. She then proceeded to say verbatim "I don't think you understand, you have to get both because it's been a whole year since your last eye exam." No other optometrist in town would force me to have to get both exams if I did not want it. I can not believe the lack of professionalism by her. Safe to say I will be taking my business else where. Rude, Arrogant, power trip and unethical.

In response to the following review, the Corporate Territory Director contacted me with-in a day. She appreciated my concerns and directed me to another local Visionworks store. She spoke with the Doug, the manager at this new store so he knew I would contacting them. I made an appointment with Doug, spent about 1 hour with him, and now have 2 new pair of glasses being processed for a rush delivery. Please check out my review of Doug's store: Visionworks, Dr.s of Optometry, 8113 Moores Ln Ste 1800, Brentwood, TN 37027. The following is my review for the Mall location. I understand some of the operational and staffing issues are being addressed. The 2 stars are for one pair of glasses and Brandon and Daniel. The no stars are for the Dr.s, the poor 2nd pair of glasses, and the for the mostly sad staff, poor customer service, and lack of attention to the needs and goals of the customer. My initial 5 stars were dealt out before I picked up my 2nd pair of glasses. The details of that adventure follow, if you are interested. I had 2 pair of glasses being processed. I was notified that pair 2 of 2 was ready for pick-up on Thursday. This was on schedule for my complete order. It was not clear that both pairs were ready, so I called the store and was told they were in fact ready, although only 1 pair was ready when I went to pick them up. Daniel was very kind and helpful during that visit, compared to his co-worker who was rude and slammed the cabinet drawer where I was sitting. The computer glasses I picked-up work great for the intended purpose, and they will stay at the office; I was looking forward to getting the second pair for keeping at home that would cover reading and computer; and I was told could also be used for night driving, to cut glare. When I returned the next day to pick-up my 2nd pair, the same staff were there. Same nice Daniel, same rude co-worker. The progressive glasses did not work at all. I could not and I had to go back through the exam process. The receptionist in that office was taking care of some personal phone business while I waited. She told me she didn't want to waste her lunch time doing it. She did not mind that I had to wait. I was examined by a different optometrist this time to see if the problem with the glasses was the prescription or the 1st exam. This Dr. wrote a different prescription this time, but was very rude in his insistence that I should learn to use progressive lenses as they would make driving safer. (This wasn't a problem that I needed glasses for.) He also said that if I want to see the computer at home I would have to keep using the magnifiers I bought at Walgreen's. I told him that I did not initially ask for driving glasses, and that I would just get the computer lenses in this 2nd pair. I felt VERY uncomfortable trying to communicate with him as he argued against what my personal needs were. He rushed me out at that point without saying another word. I only learned from the staff and Dr.s there that I could either get progressive, or computer, or bi-focals with a visible line. The only "progressive" option was "full range". A 2 step was not available. The progressive glasses they made for me only allowed very narrow bands of clarity at each distance; and I had to move my head up and down to see various things clearly. The upper-most part of the lense was for distance, but it only caused double vision and hurt my neck to use. The reading part of the lense was so low and narrow that it also hurt my neck and strained my eyes to use them for reading. With the narrow choices offered, I ended up with 2 pair of computer glasses, nothing to help reading or night-time driving glare. I feel that I wasted a large portion of the $900 I spent there. It would be a better value to have bought new reading glasses for work and home, as they work with the computer and reading in general.

I went here with the intention of buying 2 pairs of regular prescription eyeglasses, and I had planned to go back in a few weeks to buy a 3rd pair of prescription sunglasses. After I paid for my first 2 frames, I got home and glanced at the receipt. I saw that the sales associate had put a bunch of extra charges on my purchase, including the no-glare coating, which I insisted I did not want. When I called the store to revise my order, the girl on the phone said that they had just "assumed" I would want all of the extra stuff, since my insurance covered 50% of it (never mind that I would have to pay the other 50% out of pocket). I was livid and I asked the lady on the phone if they work on commission (What other motive would they have to add extra charges without my permission?). She insisted that they do not work on commission, which I later found out was a lie. I do not recommend this place! They are very dishonest. Needless to say, I did not end up buying my sunglasses here.
