Best glasses shopping experience I've ever had! Large selection and extremely knowledgeable owner! Very friendly and informative, took the time to go through every option and explain honestly why it was or was not a good fit! Very highly recommend! *Brought my glasses in after the arm broke off (my fault) and he fixed them in one day for free. Can't say enough good things about this place!!

Owner operated store where the knowledgeable and friendly owner takes his time to make sure that you get the best glasses. He even stepped out with me on the street to show how different the frame color could look in daylight. Beats any other chain vision store where you feel like a number to be dealt with.

Owner spent a lot of time with me answering questions, and more importantly, helping me pick out a frame that would look ok on me. I liked that he was very upfront in his opinion - if he didn't like something on me, he told me, which is something I needed to hear as I had no idea what I should go for. He wound up helping me pick out an excellent pair of glasses after spending a long time due to my indecisiveness. Highly recommended.

Dr. Hegamo is a great optometrist if you need to go in for an examination. Frames seemed fairly affordable except that they sell the frame on the shelf as is. Found TWO frames that I really liked and decided against getting either other them because of defects in the frame. I asked the employee there if they could order the same frames and he said, "The frames are as is. We sell only what's up here. If you don't like the defect then you probably don't want to get them." I asked if he could knock down the price a bit then. "Nope." Okay then - business taken elsewhere.

The selection at this store is so great that it makes it hard to choose just one pair- I left with two and my friend who just came to help me left with a new pair!

Did a little research, liked the look of the place based on reviews and their website. Arrived on a Friday, to find that the hours on the door of the establishment do not match those on their website at all, and the place was closed. The store hours on Google also do not match the website, OR the signage on the door. How does a business survive if they can't be counted on to be open when they say they are?

I have never owned sunglasses before. I got a Groupon and decided to give them a try. I wanted to support a small business. These were to be a birthday gift and I was planning on using them on a planned vacation. I did order my glasses over 6 weeks before my vacation. The guy who helped me was real nice and I was very excited for my birthday sunglasses to arrive. When they did arrive, the lenses were not done right so I had to send them back the day I got them. I was told they would be ready for my vacation... I waited another two weeks and when I did not hear from them I stopped by. I was told that one of the lenses again came back incorrect. I again asked if they would be done in time for my trip. I was told they would be done before Monday, as I was leaving on Wednesday, and that I would be called. Well..... It's Tuesday.... and they are closed. No call from them and now it is off to my vacation without my new glasses. I am disappointed in the fact that they never called as they said they would, and that even with over 6 weeks of planning I still do not have my product. Even with telling them I had an early Wednesday morning flight, they did not let me know that they are closed on Tuesdays. I will never shop here again or recommend them to anyone. I want to support small businesses, but now feel that I would have the product I wanted for vacation if I had gone to a more organized company. What a let down.

I've been going to Uptown Eyeswear since they first opened, drawn in by a Groupon/Living Social deal. I have since gotten 4 pairs of glasses and sunglasses there. They do a fantastic job making sure the frames you try on fit your face and style (plus they're pretty hip). What's really awesome is that when I pop in to get my frames tightened or adjusted they remember who I am and provide excellent customer service. I recommend this spot to anyone who needs corrective lenses.

Fantastic service! I've found that they put US (the customers) first, which I value. I had a pair of frames that I purchased from the shop, but ended up not wearing them much because of the way they fit. The next time I was in the shop, I was asked how my frames were working out for me. I voiced my concerns and ended up getting them exchanged free of charge! WOW! I definitely didn't expect that kind of service. Bravo! I wear my new frames all the time now, and love the way they look on me (thanks to the shops suggestions!!)

What a GREAT experience! I have been wearing glasses all my life and this place is above and beyond the rest. I walked in and was greeted right away. They got out a tray and let me look around ( as I requested) without the usual in your face sales pitch and pressure to buy. I picked a few and they picked some they thought I would like. I got one of the pairs they choose. Very pleased with my glasses and they came on time.

Very accommodating, extremely customer focused. Owner assisted me in selecting a great looking frame (very appreciated, since I've never had anyone spend time helping me select frames and give me an honest appraisal of what frames look best). I was even able to bring in a frame with lenses that no longer were my current prescription and have them reset with new lenses. I highly recommend this shop.

Great glasses and I loved the eye doctor but their communication and customer service could use some work. I ordered contacts in August, and after numerous attempts of contacting them about the status of my order, was given the run-around. They never once called me to update me on the status. Did not end up receiving my contacts until April when I was on my last pair. Had they not arrived the week that they did I would have been out of contacts and out of luck. Great selection of glasses but will not be returning.

love love love my new glasses!! I get more compliments from complete strangers (and friends, but do they count?) than I ever have on my faux wood geek chic styled cat-eye frame. I found this TINY little store just a half block down from Bryant Lake Bowl using a Groupon... I doubt I ever would have found them without the "deal" -- Seriously, Their selection of hip frames is better than any of the top eye glass boutiques in town (and I've shopped them all) but what's more is that you can hardly believe their prices. They helped me pick the perfect pair for my face shape, and the service was great. Check them out before you shop the other boutiques and pay more.

These guys will hook you up. They know EXACTLY what will fit your face the best. I felt transformed. they picked out what had to be the most perfect frames in the store for me, and I watched several other people go through this transformation as well. I stepped outside of my comfort zone and was rewarded with some stylish teal beauties that matched my eyes. TRUST THEM. THEY ARE EXPERTS. These also don't feel the same as cheap frames. They don't slide down my nose when I'm reading and don't feel obtrusive when I lie down. A+. It is worth it to pay for good frames, and they will help you find the best looking ones for your face. Nice people too.

Haven’t had glasses in years. Decided to try Uptown Eyeswear first after researching all the local shops and finding a Groupon. Salesman named Tom helped me choose a fitting style after trying on half the store. Laid back no pressure atmosphere where you can take your time. After getting home from picking the glasses up I noticed a small dent on the front of frames. They replaced my glasses and let me keep the damaged ones, free of charge. Overall outstanding service, great frame selection, and I’ll be going back here for my next pair.

We bought very expensive glasses, and they scratched in a very short period of time. When we tried to warranty them, they took the glasses for a week, making it impossible to drive. When we went to pick them up, we arrived at 6:53, since they closed at 7. Too late, they were already closed!
