Rarely do I write reviews and this is a first in terms of a store. My experience with Cohens over the years has been nothing short of exemplary. Dolly has taken care of me from day one and even if there has been a problem with a lens or whatever, she is on it and corrects it. She is beyond nice and because of her, am addicted to prescription sunglasses. She is beyond fantastic. I stop in now just to get me glasses tightened and cleaned and she does it with humor and makes me feel like a regular customer. The Dr is also excellent. Great staff. Dolly, thank you for taking such great care of me.

Cohen Optical is definitely one of the best optometry offices I've been to in Boston. The doctor is great and doesn't push you to do any tests, exams, etc that you don't need. The pricing is beyond reasonable and I didn't feel gouged at all. (Some optometrists can really overcharge for the contact lens exam!) Lastly, the staff was pleasant and helpful. I'm recommending them to everyone I know.

I can't say enough good things about this place. In the last 4 years or so, my husband and I only bought frames/lenses from this store because selection and service are just wonderful! The owner Dolly (at least I assume she is an owner) is extremely helpful and always takes her time to help her customers find the perfect pair from the large selection they have. She is funny, honest, and won't try to sell you something unless it looks good. In fact, I just came back from the store where I bought my second pair of glasses. I had gone to at least three other optics stores near my house before and everything was either very expensive or there was not a lot to choose from. I stopped by Cohen's around 5.15 pm today and picked a PERFECT pair of glasses (in my price range) within 10 min with Dolly's help. She was even able to get my new prescription lenses ready in less than 30 min before they closed! Highly recommend!

Large selection of frames. The gentleman who assisted me choosing my frames was patient and helpful. When I picked up my frames a few days later, one woman in particular had an edge to her. Progressive frames take a few days to process. Single lense frames can be ready in an hour.

Dolly is fantastic. Very quick turn around and outstanding service. She fixed four pairs of damaged lenses and reused the frames and also got a new pair made for me all within 24 hours.

the worst store i have ever been, a box of contacts took 2 weeks to arrive??? I called the store many times and all i got was just "wait til we call you" If you want efficiency and good service, don't go to this store.

Dolly is always so sweet and friendly. I only ever get contacts from the store, so it's a pretty straightforward experience. But I have a bad habit of waiting until the last minute when I'm down to my last pair to order new ones. She always offers me a spare pair on the spot so I don't have to go blind while my order arrives. Tbh there are other shops closer to my house, but Dolly and everyone else there are always so pleasant that I'd rather just go back there.

Great customer service and great staff, they were very engaging and entertaining! Same day delivery at that. Although I felt like I was hustled a bit lol, but I was willing to pay to get my replacements either way. I have been walking around halfway blind for three years, it was about time I got a new pair of glasses.

My Favorite Doctor Ever & The Best Staff of People In Boston. This has been my only optometrist since moving to Boston. I am a professional in the Back Bay neighborhood and have started recommending this location to all my colleagues and friends. The staff is always cordial and willing to help every patient and customer as best they can. Keep up the good work guys.

I called and scheduled my appointment a week ahead. I got both my glasses and contact lenses prescription there. And I just took my prescriptions and ordered my contacts online. They were very friendly, love that fact that they didn’t push me to buy anything.

Both Dolly and Dr. Baumal are very nice -- they both get five stars. However, as a heads-up, exams and Dr. Murray Baumal is no longer covered in-network, he is out-of-network as of 2016. However, their contacts/glasses are in-network. Kind of confusing unfortunately for the patients -- I found out with my exam claim accepted in 2015, but denied in 2016. Again, very friendly folks either way.

Stay away!! Not only are they extremely overpriced, but they convinced me that a pair of glasses that is actually way too big would be suitable for me. They only care about the sale and not if the glasses actually have the right size.
