Had my first ever eye appointment here. Wanted to go somewhere local as everyone told me to avoid the chains. I felt very welcome from the moment I stepped in, and Dr. Chen did a wonderful job explaining everything to me. The two lovely ladies at the front desk also helped me pick out my frames when I was so indecisive and they were so patient and kind. Would definitely recommend!

I will never go anywhere else for glasses-- Ian Harding is the best optician around! He is absolutely expert, experienced, skillful, and HONEST! He won't sell you something you do not need and will openly tell you all of your options. I discovered this after making the mistake of going elsewhere, waiting 10 days to receive glasses I couldn't see with, and then being told I just needed to adjust to them. I went back to Longmeadow (as I had gotten my prescription there-- Dr. Gill is also fantastic) and Ian immediately saw and explained what had happened (they had marked up the lens wrong for progressives, so my prescription was 4 mm off). He spent quite a bit of time with me-- at no charge-- and gave me information that allowed me to get my money back from the other place (they tried to blame the problem on my frame selection). And speaking of frames, Longmeadow has an excellent selection of fashionable frames and sunglasses. It can be hard to choose with so many good options, but Ian makes you feel welcome, comfortable, and never rushed or pressured. Longmeadow has great products and great people-- you can't beat them!

Dr.Chen was more informative and interactive with me than any other eye Drs. I have been to, including a locally well known ophthalmologist. The whole staff is friendly, helpful, and patient. I will be going there always from now on unless I have to see an eye surgeon. Hopefully, that will never be the case!

I've been a patient of Dr. Farbman for many years before his retirement last year. Over the years he and Dr. Gill have nurtured a very professional yet personable experience for their patients. The recent exam with Dr. Gill was very thorough and consistent with the previous exams with Dr. Farbman. The office staff is great and obviously get along well with a good working relationship. Their office location is very comfortable and easily accessible off Rt 15. The exam started within minutes of my arrival and I was done in less than an hour. Routine eye care providers are usually not difficult to find, but Longmeadow Optical is a great group of professionals who treat you well.

Dr. Gill was friendly, efficient, and thorough; Lab manager Ian Harding made a helpful fix to my frames without even having been asked; the people at the front desk were also friendly ( and only laughed at me a little for forgetting to pay and having to come back in from my car). All in all, an excellent eye exam experience.
