If I could I would give no stars. They couldn’t get my prescription right, the second time I went for a recheck I had to wait for over an hour past my appointment time and they didn’t even check my eyes again. I waited all that time and it felt like they pushed me out the door after what felt like 15 minutes. I don’t feel like I was listened to when I spoke about the issues I was having. In my opinion they rely too much on all this technology they have and have forgotten how to really do their job. I have been thoroughly frustrated by them and will never waste my time there again.

I have pros and cons, unfortunately, the correct lenses matter, hence why the cons out weighs the pros. First off, the staff is great. They even tried to work with me for each time I returned after receiving my new pair of glasses but going in 3 times is too many without getting the glasses fixed. The frame selections are also a pro. Cons. The lenses was not right. From day 1, the staff tried to convince me that the astigmatism correction is what was causing the bottom of the soda bottle view. After two weeks and a trip to Los Angeles, I returned the glasses as they have greatly distorted my vision and the staff was convinced that nothing was wrong with the lenses. I decided to run a test, I ordered glasses both from EyeBuyDirect and Zenni's to test out various lens solutions with my new prescription. They both came out crystal clear with only slight distortions that was easily over come within a matter of hours. I do like the offering of Blue IQ from LensCrafters and felt a difference in my eyes and eye strains with that. That's where it's disappointing. They have the lenses that I'm looking for, great frames but terrible setup of my prescriptions. In addition, I had a big issue with the laser etched lettering within the lenses H & P, on both left and right lenses. They were placed directly in the view of my eyes and I would see blurry spots. The distortion and blurry spots would not cut it. I'm disappointed that this could not have been resolved. Now that I know what my lenses require with the cheap solutions, I cannot return or recommend LensCrafters because of the lack of effort on their end to fix the problem and their extensive effort to convince me that it was not their lens setup but my own eyes. I truly am disappointed.

Devin was kind, patient, personable, and very informative/knowledgeable about the brands and insurance coverage. Truly had an enjoyable experience. My eyeglasses were completed under 1 hour— Excited about picking up my custom RX sunglasses soon!

I went to this site a year ago to get new contact lenses. The doctor at this office was wonderful, very helpful and personable. I ordered new contact lenses and was on my way, expecting to receive them within the next week or two. Two weeks passed and I called them, my contacts were not in. Okay... So I tried another week later. Still no contacts. At this point I gave up out of frusteration. Luckily I was never charged for them. I choose to go to the Rosedale site instead this year and I cannot speak highly enough of their staff! Wonderful doctors and admin at that site! Yesterday I received an email and post-card "reminding me" of my appointment at the Southdale site, really? There is no way I would schedule an appointment there again. I called their staff to cancel my "appointment" and was rudely told that it was a routine for their staff to schedule an annual appointment. I told them I no longer wanted to receive communication from their site. The receptionist said she would cancel the appointment and hung up. Needless to say I would NEVER recommend using this site! Here's hoping I don't hear from them again next year.

I went in for an eye exam for new contacts. The last few eye doctors I’ve been to other places have been fairly awkward gentleman...but this guy was a riot! After my exam, I sat down with a sales associate. She explained what my options for glasses would be, how pricing would work with my insurance, but never pressured me into buying a pair. I’ll definitely return!

very disappointed by the general demeanor of the staff here. Will never use the specific store and LensCrafters in general. Wrong brand contact lens was sent despite informing about prior problems. No apologies. Gave me "free samples" for remaining prescription as if that was done by the greatness of the heart. Mistakes happen with everyone and I understand that but being defensive and dismissive about it is what bothered me most.

I was visiting SLC in early May 2019 and went to LensCrafters to get eye exam and new glasses. Dr. Hayes found spot on my eye during eye exam and got me an immediate appt. with Salt Lake Retina to diagnose. It was a detached retina and required same day laser surgery to correct! Dr. Hayes diagnosis saved my vision and I am SO grateful. Plus my new glasses are great!!! I highly recommend LensCrafters and Dr. Hayes!

The worst customer experience I have ever had, avoid this place/company like the plague. I made an appointment, show up 15 minutes early to be told that they don’t have it in their “system” and that the appointment must have been made for the other location, which was down the street. I went to this other location, and unsurprisingly they don’t have my appointment either. I called the same person back and was told “I have other customer’s to deal with and I can’t help you”.

In my opinion, This location was very dishonest about my insurance status. At a minimum do not visit this location or even better find a local independent doctor. My vision plan clearly lists them as a preferred provider. When I arrived they made a huge deal about not accepting my insurance. I had to pay for the visit out of pocket, then they billed my insurance company for the visit as well. If they tell you they don't take your insurance make sure your insurance company doesn't get billed anyways.

My appointment was scheduled for 1:00. They lost the appointment, said it wasn't confirmed. I then had to wait 30 minutes to see the nurse. It is almost 3:00 and have yet to see the doctor. I do not recommend this place at all. They do not have a good system. Go to Costco.

The bad reviews made me think twice before going to this LensCrafters, but I'm glad that I did. I had scheduled a Sat afternoon appt to get an eye exam - from the moment I walked into the store until I left with a great set of frames and a new prescription an hour later, the service was outstanding. I was immediately greeted as I entered the store by Teresa, who then became my personal attendant helping me through the preliminary exam, navigating me through the process of meeting with the optometrist, and finally picking out a perfect set of frames and fitting them. Service couldn't have been better, and with the new technology that they use to read the prescription from the existing glasses, do a preliminary check of refraction error, and photograph your retina without having to dilate your eyes, the whole process is amazingly quick and efficient. Can't imagine a better experience.

Great staff! Dog chewed my glasses so I needed new ones fast. They did not have the same frames but the woman went to another store for me, picked them up and put in a loaner pair of lenses. I had new glasses that were not even in stock in 90 minutes. Unbelievable service! Above and beyond! Recommend highly! Getting my new lenses this week. Could not be more pleased!

Buyer beware! Do not buy merchandise from this company unless you are 100% sure you're not going to return it. They will not give cash back even if you paid with cash. They will only send you a corporate check that some consumers wait 90 days or more for.

Very nice looking store. Appointment wait time was never long for me, and the doctors were ready to see me within 5 minutes of each arrival, unlike many other doctor practices that make you wait 20 minutes after you arrive. I had both Dr. Franson & Dr. Kolbay and they were both extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommended. Park in City Creek West side parking garage. The store is in the outdoor courtyard on the West side of the mall, next to Nordstrom.

Called today for price comparisions...$145 for a contact lens fitting!!?? $95 for 1 box of contacts!!?? I have been wearing contacts for over 35 years and worked in the field... Found much better prices at 20/20 Eye Care...$49 for fitting and $55 a box....

Never go here. I’ve gone here because they take my insurance and care credit but the amount of stress dealing with them for simple things is not worth it. They change doctors yearly so your records never stay there. I also had to do a contact fitting after I already told them my eyes do not do well with other brands but “per the doctor” hand to be done all over again. When I was waiting for my order to come in- I was passed off for an entire month stating they’re on the shipment and until I finally asked to speak to a manager nobody could answer. The doctors all hate their lives and have no bedside manners- they openly complain about their schedule and hours worked. He staff are rude and incompetent. I say one and two mix ups whatever, but every time I’ve had an issue.

The customer service was great and the staff was super friendly. The only problem I had was that they tried to give me the display glasses. The associate started warming them to reshape them for me and I said "wait are these the glasses I'm getting?" And he said "oh you want us to order you some?" If I'm paying for Ray Bans then obviously I don't want the display pair that who knows how many people have tried on. They also sold me on the "signature Ray Ban lenses" because they were such better quality but I was really just being charged for them to etch Ray Ban into my lenses, which I didn't even want. Otherwise great experience. They had tons of options and I was able to find glasses I'm really happy with. They also have a great protection program if something happens to your glasses.

This store needs to hire people who actually know what they are talking about!. Recently while on vacation in Reno my Versace rimless glasses came loose on the right side. I went to this store and the "so called" professional repair person told me that they could not be repaired, the the posts were drilled thru the lenses and I would have to get new frames! $500 frames! She also went on to tell me she had just seen the exact same issue earlier that day. I was bummed! When I got home I took them to where I bought them Eye Express In Lakeland FL, the REAL professional said, "oh let me just change the gasket right here, and in less than 3 minutes they were like new again! LensCrafters you need to get out of the business if this is what you call "professionals"!

They have a quick turn around time on glasses but the materials used are absolute crap. I've now gone through two pairs of lenses in six months, I haven't mistreated them at all but they just seem to scratch incredibly easy. I'm quite convinced that they used junk lens material intentionally, keep you coming back and all that good stuff. I've also had a pair of glasses that I purchased at a local shop, I've treated them exactly the same and the glass is still clear and scratch free. I also looked at their sunglasses and was completely unimpressed with what they had for frames. If you don't want to drop cash on the name brands everything else is literally what you'd expect from a gas station sunglasses rack except 8 times more expensive.

even though they advertise that they will custom fit lenses into your existing frames they would not fit my frames - I then took the time to pick out a different set of frames from their exhibits, when we went to the Oakley site to order lenses they told me (again) that I could not get lenses - WHY WHY WHY would you have frames for sale that you can not (will not) fit lenses into? -- I took my prescription and will never NEVER use LensCrafters again -- one would think that when an individual is ready to spend $400 - $500 dollars on a set of prescription sunglasses that they would want to accommodate them but not LensCrafters - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER RELATIONS

My wife and I came here to shop for and buy her first pair of glasses. The employees where not welcoming, nor did they attempt to explain how buying glasses works, as this was our first time. We were handed off to several different employees and therefore had to repeat ourselves many times. They asked us to return after an hour to pick up the glasses, then made us wait another hour. They assured us the glasses would be ready to wear when we got them, but they were dirty and smudged. No complaints about prices, but we weren't that concerned about that. Overall, very poor service and wasted time ruined the experience. I'd suggest shopping elsewhere!

I was in the middle of a beach day, when a wave crashed over me, pulled my hair forward, and bent the arm of my BRAND NEW PRESCRIPTION RAY BANS. I loaded everyone in the car, and drove to this LensCrafters on the verge of tears. I had gotten my Ray Bans at a LensCrafters in Ohio, but the gentleman that helped me was very reassuring, cleaned them, AND fixed them in a matter of minutes!!! I am forever grateful for him and LensCrafters in Wilmington!! Thank you so much again!!!

I have just recently purchased a pair a glasses from this store. I brought my prescription from an outside doctor, and I can definitely say that this place has the largest variety of glasses out of any other local store. The salespeople were very helpful and gave me plenty of space when I was looking for frames. Very low pressure! And when I came to pick them up in less than a week they were very patient and helpful in making sure they fit well. This place had very good deals and great service! I will definitely be coming back whenever I need a new pair of glasses!

My glasses were not ready by the time I had been told. When I got the e-receip through the email after I left the store, the final number was same as the staff described to me, but the details in the receipt looked totally strange. When I went back and waiting to pick up my glasses, I read the prices posted on the desk, I found the different sets of numbers (from the numbers the staff showed me on his computer). After I came home, I pulled out the benefit list from my vision insurance and tried to compare with the details in LenCrafters package. I couldn't match anything from LensCrafteters with my insurance benefit.

I am hoping to have better experiences in the future and/or others. Be aware of the glass coating; they peal off after a year of purchase. Also, scratched which it was suppossed to come with scratch protection. These happened to be right at the end of the warranty period. I used many glasses with coating and never had one that came off. Another thing was the representative did not warn me about the weight of frame when I selected at the time of purchase. When the lenses are added, it was heavy on my nose that changed the shape of my nose; left marks with dents. I bought a light plastic frame and transferred the lenses myself. You know they won't do that. You have to buy the frame and the lenses. They will not re-coating the surface, either.

I was just in SLC for a visit, so was looking for the closest shop to fix it and just walked into LensCrafters city Creek mall. They fixed it on the spot, cleaned my sunglasses and no cost; this is our service! Excellent!

I have to give them a bad review. I purchased my RayBan sunglasses and RayBan G15 lens right there, but they gave me a lens but not RayBan!! I've changed it with $27 co-play fee in Quail spring LensCrafters. The manager in Quail Spring mall is really a good guy! But the manager in Penn Square mall is the worst sales people I've seen, he always says the problem is not a big deal and don't want to fix or exchange the product for you! Hope this review will save your money and time.

I guess a lot can change in a year. Despite the bad reviews, I had a wonderfully relaxed and efficient time there. My glasses broke the night before, so I scheduled an appointment the next morning, they fit me in within the hour, everyone was friendly and knowledgable, the doctor was great, I was given a selection of frames that were all of my taste and a great look for my face shape, and they had me out the door with glasses made in less than an hour. Honestly, couldn't have been more pleasant.

I will never ever go here again. The older guy sort of bald, with round glasses, I believe he was the manager. It looks like he doesn't know how to look at one's eyes. I felt he kept on looking down my shirt. Those wondering eyes. And also felt that they were pushing me to buy the most expensive pair of frames. And I'm talking about the one at Southdale mall 2nd floor near bath and body works. Not the one that is inside of macys. In general the General Manager is just such a disgrace. Beyond disappointed with this store. I've been a patient with them for 5+ years usually ALWAYS recommend them to everyone I know because they " take " good care of their patients but today I learned that's no longer true. I called at 10:02am clearly desperate because my glasses flew out the window and now I literally couldn't see I needed either a pair of contacts or glasses. The guy on the phone told me my prescription had expired (they always say that) and that I would need a new exam. I provided him with my insurance info and he told me someone would call me back letting me know how much the visit would be. NEVER got a call back I actually called twice the first person said they couldn't get in contact with my insurance the second person said their computers were down so they had no numbers to call back. hm, two different stories. Call back again for them to tell me that I have to pay $170.00 for JUST MY EXAM and I would then have to purchase a pair of contacts or glasses because they can't get in contact with my insurance. WHAT! Not sure if they had a change in management or what has changed but they just lost a patient/customer to another office who took my info, called me right back and offered a FREE emergency pair of contacts due to my situation although I offered to pay. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

Overpriced! I paid $5 more out-of-pocket here than I did at Costco for the total price of my progressive lenses. The worst part is that I can't use these lenscrafter glasses to drive - the area of clear vision is so small (because I could only afford their bottom-of-the-barrel lenses) that I'm better off driving without. My Costco lenses don't have that issue at all - I see perfectly at night with no periphery issue. Only reason I'm giving them one star is because their frames selection is really good. But again, pricey. Save some $$$, and go to Costco. Ion Vision was excellent by the way - the doctor was very helpful and knowledgeable. Lenscrafters is way too expensive. I'm glad for the experience though - I figured out I can buy better glasses at Costco, drop my "vision insurance" and save $150/year. **Update. I'm upping the review here because I went back in and returned the glasses and was told they would fix. They did it without argument or cost which I appreciated. We'll see how it goes. :)

Guess what? They don't even apologize. Their frames are over-priced as well. Look them up online 100-150 dollars more expensive. Probably the worst lenscrafters in USA. Yuk, never coming back. Amazing customer service!! I went in with a certain frame in mind and it wasn't on the shelf so the nice associate that helped me ( I forgot her name) pulled the back stock and found me the frame that I was looking for rather than looking at the wall and informing me that they didn't carry that frame. My glasses also came in way faster than the original quoted time and they took great care of me when I came back to pick them up. Needless to say I will return to this location!

Had an appointment today and the lady at the computer told me that the insurance is coming up as inactive where as the insurance was activated 2 months back. I called my insurance and got an agent walk her through step by step and she couldn’t follow. Insurance agent was able to check LensCrafters account and was able to lookup me on the providers portal but lady at LensCrafters was not able to follow and bring up the page. Her response was “May be it’s because it’s Sunday” ..really! The agent told that the problems are at LensCrafters end and they won’t be able to lookup any eyemed customers until this issue is resolved. She had logged in with an associates login which was preventing her to submit a claim, and instead of understanding this her response was the insurance is inactive! Wow! ...later one lady comes out and tells her "Ask her to come back later" ..that great example of courtesy...customer had to leave because one person not being able to do their job properly!

Not only did it take 3 weeks for a pair of lenses to come in, it took over a hour an a half to have the lenses put in the frames we brought. Was not even notified when the lenses had come in, I called to get an update on the status of the order and only then was I informed that they had arrived the day before. While putting the lenses in the frames they lost the nose pad to the glasses. The employee said they could not replace this item because the frames had been discontinued. (You can still find these online from the vendor for purchase.) The employee tried to go get the manager, however the manager on duty would not come out to talk to us. This experience has left a bad opinion in our eyes and I would not recommend anyone to go.

I've had eye exams at this location for at least 20 years with Dr. Daniel Korn. However, a few months ago, I received a letter from Dr. Korn stating he was moving his practice to VisionWorks in Hummelstown. In a petty and unprofessional manner, LensCrafters summarily cancelled my appointment, removed all record of prior appointments and failed to provide any notice to me. I would advise any prospective customers to avoid LensCrafters to discourage their immature behavior.

Bought a pair of glasses in March 2018 and paid $396 with my insurance .The glasses flaked off some of the coating in the first several weeks. LensCrafters replaced the lenses and said there was a defect. Fast forward to December and the glasses are scratched so badly I can't hardly wear them. Decided to just purchase another pair due to the frames wanting to always slide off. Went in to the store in the mall and picked out a pair I like. Now I find out they do not except my insurance and they want $406 for the glasses. I asked for some help on the price due to the fact that I had so many issues with the glasses that I had previously purchased. They said NO and just had a very poor attitude, a acted like it was my problem. Talked to the manager and district rep and they refused any assistance. All I ask for was a price match that I found online for $360. This is the 3rd purchase with LensCrafters and will be my last. Poor quality lenses, they should hold up better considering they had all the antiscratch protections. I've been wearing glasses for 30 years and never experienced such poor quality.

The 2 stars I am giving you are for the good service I got from the 2 gentleman who greeted me and the optometrist who saw me. They were great. I am livid with your sales person I dealt with. When arranging for my glasses, the way that she positioned the poly blue lenses made it seem like they were the norm. I asked about other lenses and she said the poly we're only $25 more. This was a blatent lie. Not only are the regular ones half the price, but per your own website, the plain plastic lenses are recommended for folks like me who basically just need readers. Then, as she was ringing me up, I saw there was tacked on a 1 year protection plan. I was NEVER asked at any point if I wanted this. I did ask her to remove it, and she did. In the end, I paid $120 for simple readers. And I felt the sales person was dishonest. I will not be using this location again in the future, if that is the kind of practice your company endorses.

Took it to this location to put it back on. what they did was loosen the plastic string so it's a lot easier to put the lens back on. as a result, that lens pop out more often. it is quite annoying even it's a quick fix. Called back on Monday to get a tracking number and was then told they had just sent them out but didn't get a tracking number and they were not able to tell us when they would get here. I looked up these folks on Google maps on a Sunday, sort of a contact lense emergency. Anyway, there were a lot of reviews on Google saying how poor the service was, and other negative things, but on a Sunday there weren't many choices to see a Dr. Well, after going, with no appointment, they were very understanding, squeezed me in as a walk in, and even though they mentioned it could be an hour wait possibly, I probably wasn't sitting in the waiting area maybe ten minutes. Dr and entire staff were extremely friendly and polite, and I just went back for my trial lenses today, just as good customer service as the first visit. I'm totally bewildered by the poor reviews I read, and had it been during the week with more options, I probably would have went elsewhere due to reading some of them. However, the reality is I don't think you could ask for a better experience. I would not hesitate to recommend this location

Between my eye checked w/ the doctor and to get a measurement for my glasses was roughly 4 hrs. And we were told that we could wait 40 minutes for my husband's glasses, we told them it's been a long day we will be back the next day. We came back the next day, only the sunglasses was ready. HIs eye glasses did not passed the quality control w/c is fine and we were told it's another 40 minutes, we told them we will just come back. We came back the next day, and again we were told it's another 10 minutes, and we end up waiting for another 1 hour. What is wrong with these people? They dont care about other people's time. That was not acceptable. And I will not be back next year and like other reviews I will not recomend them. And their prices was up to the roof. I have progressive lense, on my other doctor their pogressive was only $175 but at Lens Crafters its $295 even my insurance will cover 50% that is still too much. And their store is dirty, I dont think they even clean their store, esp their chair, I dont know if those gray hair were cat's or dog's hair.

This place should be avoided at all costs. They rushed me through the entire exam process. Then when I voiced my displeasure, the doctor called me at home to tell me why I was wrong! After repeated efforts to get the proper correction for me failed, I requested that they simply give me my previous prescription. They agreed. Then they gave the wrong one! This bunch should open a Jamba Juice in that space. That is the level of competence and caring I experienced. Actually, the juice bar is more concerned with customer satisfaction. What a bummer!

I purchased an expensive pair of Emporio Armani eyeglasses right after thirty days I noticed one temple was rather loose, upon closer inspection the screw was clearly stripped. The "tech" whom assembled my eyeglasses clearly knew there was a problem and tried tightening the screw and stripped the head of the screw. Either they are selling damaged eyeglasses or clearly don't know what they are doing. You have been warned and either buy the extended warranty or inspect your glasses with a magnifying glass.

In town from out of state visiting family, lost my glasses on a mountain and desperately needed to see for the rest of the trip. An appointment by phone, half an hour later, and I was set up. Glasses were ready in an hour and a half. Not to mention an easy 30% discount for AAA membership. No hunting for coupons, etc. The staff (especially Mary) was very friendly, knowledgeable, and practical. I told them my situation; I didn't want some tricked-out premium coatings and frames and so on, just emergency replacements that will last as an extra pair. They found me the most affordable yet nice-looking frames and had my lenses in and the whole contraption on my face in two hours total. (And all this while the store was crammed with people trying to use up their flex $$ for the year, insurance, etc.)

I will never go back to LensCrafters ever since what happened to me. They put the company interests way above their customers' and they lack the basic human integrity and decency. I had my glasses made there in April 2017. When I picked them up, I noticed right away they were not working well, but I was told to try them on any way and that I needed time to get used to the new glasses. So I decided to give them a chance. A few months later I realized that they were still not working well, but would work much better if I pressed the glasses much closer to my eyes. One day at the end of last year I was at home and somehow decided to try on my old glasses from Costco, I was surprised to find that they worked much better. I did some google search and realized that the problem lies in the frame for LensCrafter classes. All websites I viewed recommended me to pick a small (ideally mental) frame with my strong prescription, but at LensCrafters no one mentioned anything wrong with the frame I picked there, which was a big plastic frame. I can understand maybe the woman helped me to place the order that day was inexperienced, but the technicians worked on my glasses should have discovered the problem. Thinking back, I still remembered the expression on the man's face who told me to try their glasses when I picked them up. I'm certain he knew exactly what went wrong with my glasses when I told him they didn't work well, however he chose to do nothing but lie. There were 3 steps from the point I ordered the classes to I got them so there should have been at least 3 different persons worked on the order. It is unbelievable none of them noticed the problem. They were either all incompetent to see the problem, or at least one of them knew too well what went wrong but decided not to do anything to save his or her own skin. Once I found out the problem and informed them about the situation, the manger denied any wrong doing at their part and blamed the problem to my changing vision. The only offer they could give me was 30% off, which was the discount they were running for everyone at the time. With my insurance, I have to pay for a frame myself this year and my lenses cost a lot even with insurance so there will be no glasses for me this year until I save up enough to get a new pair next year, definitely not from LensCrafters. So LensCrafters, shame to you and all those involved in this fraudulent dealing, and goodbye forever!!!

The staff Scooted me out so fast as they over charged me with there prices as I feel that they need to reimbursed me. I will not be back nor to recommend this location. I was appalled by the doctors behavior and the customer service at this establishment. I went in with a script and only needed to purchase the glasses. That was a lengthy process but that was fine and the sales person was friendly and helpful. The doctor came out of an exam and was loud and rude. I was able to get my glasses on the same day. I was asked if I wanted a text or phone call alert. I selected the text option and was told they would be ready in under 2 hours. Well 2 hours rolled around and I hadn’t received a text. I went back to be told they were having a tech issue and my glasses had been ready. Why not try to give me a call then?! When I tried them on the glasses sat quite crooked on my face. The obnoxious doctor came over to adjust them. He said “let me show you what 11 years of college did for me” and proceed to warm my glasses and “adjust” them which changed nothing. When I said something he basically told me it was my face that was crooked and the glasses were straight. Even if that’s true, they will be sitting on my face all day. Don’t you think he wouldn’t want me to leave until I was 100% satisfied? I will not be going back and plan to call corporate to share this experience with them. I drove further to this location because I had a positive experience there two years ago. I wish I had read the reviews before I went again. Save yourself the trouble and just don’t go!

As someone with a long commute for work, this place looks like they have great hours, until you discover that the lab closes an hour before the store and since it closes so early and you need an hour to get your lenses done, that means you need to be there about 1.5-2 hours before the store itself closes to have new lenses (already made) put in. This was not something I was aware of when I went there to have my glasses made (instead of the place in the Emerald Square Mall, where I usually go and that has better hours). It has been an ordeal. I ordered new prescription lenses for my regular glasses and my sunglasses. Something happened in the process where I was never notified that my regular lenses were done; only my sunglasses. It wasn't until a month later that I called them and asked if they had my regular lenses ready, which they were doing on-location. It's hard enough to get down there for one set, so I was waiting on both to be ready. I went yesterday to pick up my glasses (I needed to give them the frames I was wearing) and in the process of waiting, I had my new sunglasses cleaned and adjusted. During the tightening process, he cracked one of the lenses and I didn't notice until after I left.... I called them to tell them what I discovered, but I wasn't able to get back to the store in time before I closed. So now, I had to work from home today so I could go back to show him the broken lens and hopefully have those new lenses replaced. The complicated part is they are Oakley's and Oakley does all of the prescriptions 'in-house', so I'll have to prove today that he damaged them AND wait at least another week for THOSE lenses to come in. Not to mention, after he was adjusting them, he didn't even clean them. So many fingerprints that no wonder I didn't catch the crack until I cleaned them in the car after dinner. I am so annoyed with this location over this never-ending problematic situation that I am NEVER going back there after this is resolved.

My experience was very pleasant. For the first time in my life I was shopping for glasses alone as an adult. This was all new to me. At this location, a supervisor named Chris helped me through the process. He greeted me with a smile, caring tone, and asked me how I could be helped. Once I explained what I was looking for he set to work pointing out several glasses that fit my description. He gave me a wide range to choose from and did not just try to sell me expensive glasses. The range was from low to high priced. He gave me time to look around and try everything I wanted on before approaching me again. The location was prompt at getting the glasses to me at the time they said they would, Chris was lovely to talk to while filling papers out, and he was very patient about fitting the glasses. Do not go to LensCrafters at Southdale and especially do not get Dr. Joel Wood for your eye exam. This doctor does not care about your precious eyes and no attention for the questions that you have. He will just go through the basic procedures that you can expect in any other eye exams. I had particularly one question i.e. my eyes are dry and if they had any tests that they would do there? Being a eye doctor you would expect some knowledge but nope all he said was "we do not have anything here and there might be dry eyes center where you can go and get your eyes examined." And I had lens fitting which was $55 and he literally just asked me what brands I wear and pulled them out and kept on the counter for me to try it on. No questions like would you prefer some other brands or may be avoid contacts lens and wear glasses as I was complaining about dryness in my eyes. Also for pupils exam during the dilation part, he put in two drops and told me that I was good to go. That did not make sense to me as after dilation Doctor see your pupils, so I asked him "what was the purpose of those eye drops?" Then he was like "Oh! you are not done, you can go and sit down in the lobby for 15 mins and I will call you back and exam your back side of the eyes after they are dilated." While I just had my eyes dilated and was feeling dis oriented, sales person in the lenscrafters comes and asks me if I wanted to get contacts or glasses today? I told him that I wear contacts mostly so I will be getting contacts and just want to see your price (which was stupid of me), I should have waited instead of asking him that. So he runs my insurance and gives me the number for a year supply of contacts, that number seemed high and I told him that I am gonna skip today and may be come back later this week to order them. He then asks me if the prices were high for me? I was honest with him and said what I felt i.e. yah i just want to see other places if I can get better prices. He then goes back to his counter and pulls out rebate and says that I can get 50$ off and gives my another total after the rebate. My eyes were very dis oriented at this point and could not see anything because of the dilation drops. I did not want to talk anymore with this guy as he was very pushy and wanted me to purchase asap. I just thought in my head I am just gonna get it, may be come back later to return them. So I pay the amount and as soon as I was done paying, he thanks me just the general thank u and goes back gets his coat and heads out, I guess he was being pushy and was in hurry to get out of there as it might have been towards the end of his shift. So please please please do yourself favor and go to actual real eye doctor and eye clinic place. I am not sure even the new prescription that they gave me is accurate. I can see perfectly with my old prescription glasses and contacts but from my visit yesterday, my prescription went up in both eyes and one eye is different than other which has never happened to me for the last 20 years that I have been wearing contacts or glasses. Please do research and find good doctor, I did this mistake and just want to spread the word that our eyes matter and we did not pay money just for nothing. When asked how the Insurance deduction worked as per my insurance my exam should not have been charged and also for my contacts insurance should have covered well. Staff got confused himself looking at the bill receipt and told me that he will talk to his manager and send me the details/updated receipt and it has been past three months I have not got my receipt which I was supposed to use for rebate as well. Also they will say they can not email us the receipt after multiple calls.

I have never left a bad review anywhere and I hate too but I feel as if I was poorly taken care of. From the beginning they said 7-10 days for my glasses. I call on day 7, ask are my glasses there, immediately they say 7-10 days nope they aren't here yet.. before ever answering my question. When my glasses finally get there they don't fit so he adjusts them, and again and again. Finally I said they don't fit my face at all they are huge, feel as if they have been stretched out. He said, they would reform and fit over night.. they still don't fit. I don't wanna go someplace where they don't wanna help. In the end he didn't wanna help because I denied his warranty and that's when he became no help. I don't recommend.

On December 1, 2018 I had an eye exam. I ordered my glasses the same day and went to pick them up the following week. I could not see out of the glasses at all. I went back and they remeasured, said the first girl didn't line them up right. Second time, same thing. The third time they said I'm cockeyed. Today they didn't really know what to say. She said maybe they're too round and tried to bend them. 5 times I've been there... it's over a month later and I still have no glasses. I overheard the girl at the front tell the women helping me... "we don't have time, she's going to have to come back tomorrow". I've been there 5 times, my glasses still aren't right and that's their attitude? Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. I will be contacting blue cross about the copay as well. I have yet another appointment with the doctor for an RX check next weekend. Why they waited this long to have me see the doctor is beyond me. The glasses were over $200, they should've been right the first time.

I decided to give LensCrafters a try after spending thousands of dollars at Standard Optical for years. I was hopeful that their prices would be cheaper and if not that their quality would be higher. After wearing the glasses for a few weeks, they will be returned for a refund. Their claim that their fancy tools and software help to make sure your glasses are perfect are not true. I don’t buy it. My glasses from elsewhere have clearer vision and higher quality frame for the same price. Their sales people are extremely pushy and when I said I was going to leave I was bribed with a 50% off family and friends discount. It felt too similar to a bad car buying experience. Go elsewhere.

Absolutely HORRIBLE! Even after taking a whole day to calm down, thinking about this place frustrates me! Waited over 45 minutes just to hear them say: "I'll be with you shortly." And yet those words would be the only polite words I would hear from them. When we were finally seen they kept saying they were having problems with my insurance. I called my insurance from my cell. And my insurance company called them on my behalf. We were ignored. Every time I would find an opportunity to kindly ask them for help they would tell me they were waiting on my insurance. So I would call my insurance again. This happened over & over again. Constantly being ignored. If it were not for my two teenage daughters liking some frames they saw there we would have left!!! I called my insurance company again and my insurance company suggested just getting the frames there, leave, and get the lenses somewhere else. Even my insurance company was getting frustrated with this place. I tried just getting the frames. LensCrafters rudely said "You can buy the frames at full prices!, but you can't get them with your insurance!". Again, it was my insurance company that suggested it & assured me that the frames would be covered. I waited a total of 5 hours. I finally had enough, I interrupted two employees talking to each other (not to customers) & asked to see the frames we had picked out... that took another 30 minutes. When I was finally able to see the frames I wrote down the item numbers on the tag. I highly suggest never going here unless torture is something you enjoy. I was able to get the frames ordered from another place & everything was covered by my insurance

I had a very disappointing experience at the Nashua, NH, Lenscrafters store today. My appointment was at 2:40 and I was not seen until 3:00PM. The girl who entered my order for glasses was very poorly trained on the ordering system and in taking measurements for my glasses. She entered my prescription incorrectly. It took her ~85 minutes to complete my transaction. She entered a prescription for computer glasses rather than reading glasses as I requested. When I picked up my glasses the person waiting on me did not have me check the prescription to see it was correct. As I was walking away I stopped and checked my prescription and I noticed that I could not read my phone and realized the error. I went back into the store and informed the staff that the prescription was incorrect and they re-entered the correct prescription. It is very clear to me that the original girl that waited on my was not adequately trained. All the glasses wearers in my family are patrons of the Nashua store, my wife, my 3 girls and myself. I was not offered any recompense for my inconvenience, which was clearly the fault of the staff, other than a "we're sorry". I am disappointed with the level of service I received. My displeasure would be mitigated somewhat if I was offered a discount on my bill or even a coupon for future services.

Eye exam was so rushed. The doc talked way too fast and I don't think he took near enough time with me. I got the feeling that he was only interested in pushing me in and out of the chair and through the door. The glasses sales lady seemed so phony "glad to see you" to me. I only wanted lenses for existing frames. When I expressed dismay over a $540 quote for two lenses (not for two glasses, just two lenses for one), that I would need to get a competitive price, she also couldn't get rid of me fast enough to go to the next customer. Totally wasted time and experience. Will never go to a Lenscrafters store again.

My doctor was great. I had a very pleasant experience with her however, my trial contacts were not the best as I only kept in it two days of the whole month. After receiving my box with 6 months supply I was praying that would be a better experience then the trail ones and it wasnt. I opened one set only and probably kept it in for 2 hour at work before taking them off. I called and spoke to James but he was extremely rude and would allow me to speak with the Doctor when I requested to talk to her. I felt only she would be able to answers my questions especially after I spent so much money out of pocket to pay for these. I called a month later after getting back in town I spoke to a woman this time. She said they were no refunds since I opened the box so I had to spend another $311 for eye glasses instead. How do they expect someone to know if the contacts is a good fit for your vision if you don't try them???? Wouldn't you have to open it first to try it??? Really bad customer service with no customer Satisfaction. Absolutely no service recovery offered. No apology for the inconvenience and no store credit to get my glasses. I won't recommend another person in my family or my network to use LensCrafters again. My husband and I have been using this company for a few years now too. We're not new customers. Terrible!!!

Upon trying the glasses on I explained the prescription was wrong because I felt my eyes were crossing. It's obvious that they work on commission because they stopped helping me once they found out I needed a warranty replacement. 3 remakes of my prescription lenses and they are still not my prescription. LensCrafters will not refund the cost of the lenses much less the frames that I have had to have remade 3 times because they were never correct. If you purchase prescription glasses here you have 30 days to get a refund. Sure they will remake them but how much time do you want to spend of your day going back there when they should have been correct the first time. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service. I am out $400.00 for new lenses. I will never go back to Lensecarfters. Be sure you find out the refund policy before you buy.

Ignorant, childish employees will try to educate you on racism here. I asked if they carried low bridge fit glasses. The young man working there said no, there is no such thing- just regular nose pads, which are adjustable, and plastic pads, which are not. I try to explain that they're essentially Asian fit frames, or frames with a larger nose pad, but he cuts me off and again responds that there is no such thing. (Low bridge fit and Asian fit frames are both popular and current marketing terms). I then say, "I know there are plastic frames with a larger pad". He says, "keyhole glasses have a larger pad". He shows them to me, I say thanks, and ask which piece is the keyhole. He responds smartly, "the part that looks like a keyhole." By his rude tone and tendency to cut me off, I feel like he knows what type of product I am trying to ask for but, for some reason, he is refusing to get on my level. As a last attempt, I re-iterate that I'm looking for low bridge fit or Asian fit frames. He explains that there's no such thing because "Asian is a derogatory term", and after a pregnant pause during which I am now fuming, he continues "for a glasses fit". So now it becomes clear- this kid was trying to educate me on political correctness. However, he inadvertently revealed his own indoctrinated racism. His misunderstanding of the acceptable use of the term "Asian", his dismissal of my request, his denial of the existence of a product, and his generally uppity behavior towards me as if I was ignorant and in need of education was all racist behavior. I will be shopping for my Asian face elsewhere. **Editing to note that this review is for Lenscrafters, not for the independent eye doctor practice, Ion Vision, which I found timely, friendly, thoughtful, and clean.

I ordered glasses from this location and they said it would take a week because of the lenses I had chosen. I called at least once a week for 3 weeks and was told that the glasses were delayed and they did not know why. Finally after calling the last time someone actually checked on them and they had been canceled almost immediately after I ordered them. They did reorder them once they realized but it took 3 weeks for anyone to follow up on my concerns, which turned out to be valid, during which time I had no glasses and a near constant headache.

I sat for an hour while the man behind the counter futzed with his computer, unable to figure out how to get the store's computer system to request that my optometrist send them my prescription, which I had in my hand, on paper, signed by said optometrist. At 1:45 PM I was told that it would be at least another 30 minutes before I would see the Dr. I said I could not wait that long...the girl asked if I had another appointment. I said "Yes, it is called work." They rescheduled me at 2 PM the next day as I would be able to get right in as it is when the Dr. returns from lunch. After checking in and waiting 20 minutes I hear them tell another patient that the Dr. is not yet back from lunch but will see her immediately when she gets back. I too am a Dr. and my time is as precious as anyone else's. Would not recommend this place unless you have a lot of time on your hands.

I went here for my annual visit and came to find out its a different set of Doctors. Long story short with my two insurances I ended up paying 130.00 no additional testing. They pushed me to believing that my astigmatism was progressing. Switched my Rx in contacts to Astigmatism. I've been on these glasses and Contacts for 3 wks with the worse headaches EVER. I decided to get a second opinion paid out of pocket to find out what I already knew before wrong Rx no progressive Astigmatism. I paid for this out of pocket because lenscrafters had run BOTH insurance cards. The pricing for my second opinion was 120 with contact fitting and they fixed my Rx. Not bad , I paid more at lenscrafters with TWO insurances and their Rx was wayyy off. This place is a joke!

Avoid at all costs. The glasses they gave me were so completely off that , in my opinion, this place is professionally incompetent. I visited a year ago as we were preparing to move 600 miles south. I'd had great experiences with the Lenscrafter at Polaris Mall in Columbus, but this one was closer. The eye exam was extremely cursory and they charged me extra for a cataract diagnosis (which was odd because this was, by half, the quickest eye exam I'd ever had and no other eye doctor has ever done this.) This week, I visited my new eye doctor, whom I chose because she is an OSU grad -- and it's one of the premier optometry schools in the country. She was surprised to find that, while my prescription hasn't much changed, that I was having trouble seeing because Lenscrafter had put the center of my pupil on the edge of the frame and had put prisms (needed to correct my vision) in only one lens. The place where I then went to get new glasses told me the exact same thing. And BTW, she diagnosed my "very beginnings of a cataract" when she looked into my eye. It too no extra time, so I believe the charge by Lenscrafter is simply bill padding. I am considering filing a complaint with the Ohio Board of Optometry to prevent someone else from getting an incorrect, sloppy prescription. I now live more than 1.5 hours from the nearest Lenscrafter and it has been a year, so complaining to the company to get this fixed so I can use my old frames as backups would likely be pointless. I've suffered through a year of bad vision. If you do get glasses at this Lenscrafter, take them immediately to another optometry store to have them checked so you can return them to get them corrected.

I was extremely happy with the eye examination and the overall medical portion of my appointmemt with Dr. Lugar. The sales side or glass frames was not as good of an experience. The personnel is not very friendly and reasonably competent. Andrew seemed afraid to use muscle to straighten my frames, I left with the loose and crooked. I went to another office to get them right. A Russian optician trainee helped me with my sunglasses a few days later. She was not friendly either, she advised I don't use soap on my lenses when cleaning. I asked if she had one of those silky clothes, she gave me some alcohol wipes.

I have used LensCrafters for a couple of my prescription glasses before. This particular location has been the worst experience so far. After you’re done paying, they basically ignore you. When I was asked to pick up my glasses in store, they rushed me to try it on and never even offered to see if everything feels okay. I had the fish bowl effect and they told me it’s completely fine. After a few weeks, I began to have headaches and so I took it to a different store. It turned out people with high prescription should never feel fishbowl effect. Anyways, I went back to ask for refund. Although I got my money back, they never admit it was their fault. Terrible experience.

My name is Ryan. Luxottica and their retail store LensCrafters is a perfect example of why the government established anti Monopoly laws years ago. I paid 700 dollars for glasses in 7-10 days. After 14 I called them. They never once contacted me (no pun intended as they did provide me with contacts during the eye exam). They offered me 25 dollars off and I won't have my glasses for over 21 days since paying. Do these idiots not understand the time value of money?! Might as well have spit in my face. My advice: go across the street to the local store. This place is garbage. They tell you when glasses are ready but not when they are late? I would give them 5 Star but there customer service is terrible over 2 weeks and counting I emailed them about a problem I had at this lanscrafters and I have not received a message back from them and I have emailed them multiple times and nothing. I went in having put in an appointment online. I walked in to check in and I was told that there wasn't an appointment for that time. I tried to explain that I'd done it online and the girl at the front said they're not even open that late. I know exactly what time I chose online. No one even offered to schedule an appointment for another day. I was practically ignored and ended up just walking away because they seemed to not want to help. I wasn't rude and mentioned why I was there twice. Their lack of help lost them a potential long term customer since I live so close.

Worst place to go! I went to ask for a copy of my prescription and they said they had no record of me in the system. So I went home and found the copy and it said I got my eye exam at this place. So it makes no damn sense to as why I’m not in the system. They also over charged me $40 extra which I’m suppose to only pay $30 since my tufts insurance covers it for me and I only had to pay a copay. The workers are not good at there jobs either. They kept asking me if I was under a different last name mulitple times. Like I’m not stupid I know my damn own last name. Place is not good to go to since they didn’t have me in the system and I had proof I went there....??!! Does that make any sense to anyone????

Went in to have my glasses adjusted (that I purchased elsewhere). While adjusting, they broke my glasses. When I came in two days later to pick them up once they fixed them, they were not fixed correctly. Kelly really tried to help me out but was unsuccessful in getting store manager to help in any way. I was offered 50% off a pair of glasses through them. No thank you. I want MY glasses fixed correctly! I will not be spending any money in your store and I will never go back.

One might assume that picking up glasses ordered a week ago would be a breeze. Was told to put my name at the bottom of a waitlist so instead of spending my Saturday with my family I've been sitting here for over 30 minutes watching people with longer issues and exams go slowly through the process and losing my mind. One customer service rep for a store FULL of people?? Come on, for the price of these glasses this place desperately NEEDS to be better staffed. Absurd. Hard to believe this place is still in business. So many potential customers have walked in and upon viewing the waitlist, simply walked right back out the door. If this place wants to survive, they need to get their sh*t together. Only reason I'm giving this location 2 stars is because the one man who is here is trying as best he can to help everyone. This man deserves a raise for somehow staying sane in this place all alone on the customer facing side. However, this will be my last pair of glasses from LensCrafters.

Three stars is a stretch for this eye glass store. I gave them one star for having a great selection in every price range, one star for speed of service, they had my new glasses ready in less than one week, and I gave them one star for service I received when I first shipped and purchased my glasses. If I deduct stars they would get, 1 deduction for price very, very expensive, 1 point deduction for not adjusting the fit of my new glasses, 1 point deduction for not teaching me how to clean or care for my new glasses, 1 point gone for not providing a case or a wiping cloth, and 1 point for rushing me out the door when I had so many questions. Seem like the service is awesome until they got my money, then it goes down the tube. BTW I went to Costco the next day, they adjusted my glasses so they now fit, gave me a case and wiping pad. So much better customer service.

1) Tries to knowingly sell you damaged products 2) Returns took forever, where done with the worst attitude, and the manager over the saleslady denied there was even a problem with the product initially 3) Poor customer service skills included being instructed to call him after he'd spoken with his manager the next day. Good customer service dictates that sales personnel take my number and call me back. this is the practical way to show your customer that they are important, but; furthermore, I have no way of knowing exactly when it is during the day you are going to speak to your manager in regards to my problem. That's on you. I don't want to call and stay on hold forever because you're just now talking to the manager. Details: I found the perfect pair of sunglasses, and went to purchase them. I always look them over after they have been cleaned because I don't want to pay for expensive damaged glasses (the ones I selected were Oakley). The lady I was working with who had previously been very kind seemed to try to rush me to case the sunglasses during my inspection of them. I found scratches on the lenses, and when I brought this to her attention SHE SAID SHE HAD SEEN THEM WHILE CLEANING THEM (but was going to try to sell them to me anyway). I asked for her manager. He came up and looked at the glasses and said he "didn't even know if those were scratches" (although it was pretty obvious they were, which is why I inspect my purchases after cleaning in the first place). He continued to try to clean the scratches for a while and then came back, said he could speak to his manager about seeing if they could order more because Oakley may not have more (but trust me, they were all over the web and I ordered a pair), and that I should call back on Monday when the manager returned. And then asked if I wanted to "return them or what." ESPECIALLY after the way I was treated I was not about to leave with those sunglasses. If you want return customers, you do the leg work (ex: take my number and call me after you speak with your manager - don't tell me to call you. I won't.)

I had such a great experience I had to post about it. I just went into lens crafters today to get a new pair of glasses. I was greeted by a man named Mike as soon as i walked in and he helped me throughout the whole process. He was extremely kind and personable , helped me with what I needed and my glasses were ready within an hour and again, he greeted when I walked in and called me by name. I wish I got customer service like this everywhere I went, and I hope this gets back to Mike .

This place is a joke. We ordered contacts from them and for some reason they got shipped to the wrong store in another side of the country. They didn’t tell us for 3 weeks until we finally asked them about it. They had no way of even overnight shipping the “missed package”, nor a way to compensate or make things right. Other than telling us they re ordered the package and that it will arrive in 3 business days which let’s face it with the weekend coming up it’s more like 5. Never ordering contacts with a company that can’t even get basic logistics right the first time.

I stopped by this LensCrafters when I was in town for the weekend at the beginning of the month to see if I could get a new pair of glasses that I didn't love adjusted. I met Shawn, an employee new to this location, and let me tell you HE IS GENIUS! He is truly gifted at his craft. If you had asked me before, I would not have thought that fitting someone with glasses is a craft, but now that I know Shawn, I know that it is. He is passionate about his job, and he is really good at it. He adjusted my glasses and helped me like them a whole lot better. But that wasn't enough for him; he wanted me to love my glasses. When I asked what he might recommend instead, after listening to my concerns, he went to the display, grabbed one pair of glasses and handed them to me to try on, and I LOVED THEM right away. He helped me determine that I could swap them for only and additional $18 and change, so that was a no brainer. I was so impressed with Shawn and his level of care of service that I flew back to Salt Lake this past weekend so that he could fit my new pair once they had my own prescription lenses. (I work for an airline so I fly free. Not a hard choice....) If you are lucky enough to live in Salt Lake, stop by to see Shawn. Have him adjust your glasses. Even if you are not a Lenscrafters customer, he will adjust your glasses, and you will walk out feeling like a new person!!!! Thanks, Shawn, I hope you see this!!!!

I can honestly say that I have only ever left 1 other bad review in my life. It's a waste of my time but hopefully it will save you a huge headache in the future. Stay away! I bought some glasses from these guys a couple of weeks ago. Most of these places advertise that they can get your glasses in less than an hour...I realize it is not always possible to meet that. So, they said they had to order the frames which could take up 7 days. I wasn't excited about that, but I was willing to wait up to a week. I called on the 7th day and they told me it would take 10 days. Then on the 10th day they told me it would be 14 days(which is today) because they just mailed the frames. Apparently they didn't think it would be a good idea to overnight the glasses that were already a week late.... ? Two weeks without glasses as of today and I still don't have them. What a joke.

Went here with my friend to pick up his glasses. First of all the gentleman that helped us was not friendly and snooty. Then my friend puts the glasses on and the left eye was way stronger I tried them on myself. So I asked him would the .50 difference really be that strong if difference. He avoided my question and was rude about it. So after trying to explain again. So he tries to argue the right prescription is right then agrees it's wrong and blames it on the guy who helped my friend to begin with. Meanwhile why all this is going on watching the computer on what is going on he tells my friend the guy put a fake prescription. Ok if that was the case both lenses would have been the 1.0 not weak in one eye and super strong in the other. So then after hearing it would be 10 days and my friend leaves in 5 asked for refund so as he tells my friend put his card in chip reader then swipe when that didn't work and my friend used two cards didn't even tell him last four digits which I did. So it didn't work many times before I TD the guy might want try debit on your screen and it worked. This guy was rude friendly and my friend says he has been there for years and always like that. Not good for customer service job. I am so glad I had prk Lasik. He is lucky I was not the customer cause I would have went off.

The store in Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City is by far the best one I've been to, considering the service at the others in the metro area I've experienced. Myles the manager here has been amazing and hasn't tried to force any extra services or add ons and has helped me walk through it all very well! Impressed. If you want to be gouged by the optometrist's office here, you've come to the right place. When we went in, I was told to wait across the street till my husband was ready to pick out his glasses, (there were 3 other groups waiting that Saturday, and the place was a zoo), then they proceeded to sell my him things NOT covered by insurance, although he was led to believe otherwise. When I asked to speak straight to the optometrist about overcharges, I was told by the office manager not to bother, that, "He has no control over how I run the office. I'm the only one who decides that, and you're NOT getting any refunds." If your hard-earned money matters to you, STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!

Totally worked hard to solve my problem. I arrived in town with no contacts to wear, but recently had visited a LensCrafters in Maryland where I currently reside. I attempted to get contacts before I left Maryland for vacation but was unable due to some sad store policies there. I couldn't see a thing, so I walked into LensCrafters without an appointment and walked out with new contacts in less than an hour. This was despite my original LensCrafters being totally uncooperative. Dr. Shane successfully navigated an ornery office manager and was able to get me into some contacts rather quickly. The staff here is totally friendly and helpful and I would suggest that anyone give them a opportunity.

Horrible! I paid over $500.00 for frame and glasses and there was something wrong with my glasses after I got them. When I went back they didnt accept that they need to fix it. The person in charge said it because of my frame. Such a stupid respond. So now I'm thinking about making a complaint to labor department or go and see a doctor and bring a proof, so hopefully I can get my money back. Dont go there. You will regret it!!

Couple weeks ago I went in asking to get my frames fixed the gentleman who greeted me was very helpful and told me that if he did they would break. So I decided to get a reexamination and buy new frames. I picked out a few different frames and both associates gave me their best advice on which frame fit my face the best. I ended buying the frames which they only had one of and the associate Alex checking me out was honest and pointed out there was a scratch so they would order me new ones (since they are considered luxury frames) and told me an eta of 3-4 days. I called on 3 different occasions since it had already been almost two weeks the same person picked up the phone. I was displeased with her service via phone because she was passive aggressive and condensing telling me, "you have your glasses and can see with your glasses right?" That wasn't the point. I paid a good amount of money with out insurance I wanted the quality of frames that I paid for. There was more to the conversation but I won't go into detail expect for the fact I was so offended I contacted corporate. The representative was highly apologetic and told me he would have the general manager contact me about the issue. Due to the person I spoke over the phone with had me appalled with the disrespect as a paying customer I did not want to go back or recommend the store ever again. Mike (the gm) called me the next day. I was surprised the issue was addressed so quickly. He was very helpful and contacted all the stores in the nation to get my frames as soon as possible. He adjusted them perfectly and on top of that I was given a discount. He rectified the issue promptly and has customer service above and beyond. I would like to thank Mike because of him I will be recommending everyone and will be back. Initially I would have given two stars just because the associates were awesome but if it were due to what I dealt with over the phone I'd give zero. I highly recommend LensCrafters at tysons because mike has turned this store around and doing his best to make his customers feel welcomed. Thanks Mike!

The staff was friendly and helpful and the doctor took time to show and explain to me more about a particular condition I have. After my husband had his glasses knocked off in the ocean this was the only place we could find that could send him home with glasses or contacts on Saturday of labor day weekend. Everyone we encountered here was absolutely as helpful and professional as could be. There were a few hiccups during the process ( at no fault of theirs) and they still saw it to the end and made sure my husband left with vision again.

I bought some glasses a while back with a year warranty on them. I had a fan fall on me which bent the glasses. I brought them back into the University Mall store in South Burlington, VT where I had originally purchased them. A nice woman adjusted them for me, however they are still not right. Per my eye doctors orders I pull them down my nose to read . When I pull them down its very obvious that they are not straight. They sit to the left. I just went up to the store and spoke to Eric Williams. He basically kept giving me a run around I can only assume in an effort to avoid fixing or replacing them. He told me that every time I moved them I changed the location. He would have had to have been blind to not see that they consistently sit wrong, to my left. I had to double check after speaking with him, he seemed so convinced nothing was wrong. Initially he even told me not to move them down my nose. Ill be making a formal complaint to the company. EDIT: I followed the link, I got a response, but the response included a link that did not work. I responded to the e-mail and got no response. Still one star. I believe they don't want to honor the insurance policy I purchased from them. EDIT: I've got a response now. I've shopped at Lens Crafters for many years. I've always had very positive experiences and I appreciate the prices. After this experience I don't think Ill ever go back. I'd rater pay a bit more.

I loved the service here, but I didn't like being thrown in to check out glasses when I was only here to get contacts. I also didn't appreciate the persistence of the clerk when I told her no to the eye exams that wasn't covered by my insurance. If I checked no, it means no, dont tell me that the doctor might not like that and have a slight attitude because of it. The only good experience I had here was when Andrea and Dr. Singe took me in the rooms to get the ball rolling. The guy showing me glasses was cool too, I learned what I could save and he was very well mannered. I think this review deserves a 4 star because of these three employees great work ethic, otherwise it would have been a 3.

I do not recommend! I went to this location to inquire about an eye exam and was basically thrown out. Some guy with earrings and glasses talked to me so fast that I didn’t get all of the information from him the first time. He handed me a card and when I asked to clarify the times the doctor is in the store he seemed annoyed and started talking to me like I was stupid, while his coworker was almost giggling. I took my business to Advance Vision Care in downtown Burlington, where I was treated like my business mattered. They put me on a cancellation list so I could get my appointment in sooner if someone else canceled during my suggested free times. Very friendly and patient staff with a great selection of frames.

Since Sears Optical closed this place is the only place for individuals on Medicaid to get glasses and boy do they know it. What a con job they pulled on me. My glasses broke when I was in between jobs. I was told Medicaid only covers the first $75 for glasses here and then I was told they cover 80% after that. I triple checked that number and asked multiple reps. They all said Medicaid covers EIGHTY percent. So this guy who's a rep up sells me on glasses which were $195. They're nice. I like em. I do the math and figure out that 195-75×.20=24 I budgeted $100 so I'm fine. I figure the total will be about $94. I go up to the counter. Go to buy the glasses from the rep. I swear to you the cheapest option for these glasses with lenses was $322 after they figured in all their fees and service charges. I'm a college student who works two jobs to make rent. I can't afford that! So I ask the rep, "Do you have any glasses that can be covered at 100%. I don't care about brand name." She doesn't say anything. And walks off and just grabs another pair of glasses without consulting me. Not so much as a, "Hey, do you like these?" The cheapest she could get them at barebones was a co-pay of $74. Which is still a lot of money for someone on Medicaid but fortunately I had it. At this point she went from helpful to hostile. She became impatient like I was wasting her time. I remained diplomatic but once it was clear I wasn't a high roller, she lost interest in my sale. Not sure if these guys make comission but it wouldn't surprise me based on the clear distain they hold for the impoverished. I'm not sure what kind of games this place is trying to pull but the fact that they have 0 adult glasses, even cheap ones available without a copay is ridiculous. I was broke at the time but I'm college educated and I know I'll be fine. Some of their clients need the help a lot more than I do and it's an immoral shame that medical monopolies like this are allowed to even exist. Much less thrive.

Sadly this was the worst experience i have had with lens crafters eye exam department. My husband, son and i will be finding a new eye doctor. On a saturday i was not greeted, I stood at the counter while the receptionist finished her little drawing of a cat on a sticky note. I was then told they tried to call me to confirm insurance in which they never did. And was then told my insurance company was closed on the weeknds to confirm coverage. Its bcbs, they are NOT closed on the weekend. I actually called my insurance co when i got to my car, talked to a nice lady from bcbs. It was extemely disappointing. Such poor customer service. And now i will buy my lens/frames from someone else. We have used lens crafters for over 15 years. Never again.

I spent 800 dollars on lenses and frames. The eye dr assured me that he had my prescription correct. I put in my prescription for my glasses. The eye clerk told me I wouldn't be able to see out of my glasses but I told him I was certain the eye dr knew what he was talking about. Low and behold. The eye clerk was right and the eye dr wrong. I can't see out of my glasses at all! Money down the drain. This is the first time I've gone to a lense crafters and the eye dr is independent. Not a good look for lense crafters. I've reported them to the better business bureau and will be going to a different dr! Not sure how I can see clearly but my eye dr got my prescription wrong! Completely wrong at that!

I received incredible customer service from Alan when I called today to obtain some information from when I was a patient in 2013 (when the location was a Pearle Vision). Alan went above and beyond by leaving the store and hunting down my written records in a storage area. Broke my frames the other night and went to jc Penney optical today to get them fixed. I was told that my prescription was expired and that I would have to get an eye exam but but they had no doctors or appointments available. They wouldn't just let me buy new frames and keep my lenses even though they work perfectly fine for me. I went next door to lens crafters and the woman was extremely nice. She looked around for the frames that would best fit my lenses for the best price and about half an hour later I was walking out of there with brand new glasses! And it didn't break my bank. It was great, I suffer severe pain in my eyes and headaches without my glasses. I really needed a new pair and she came through for me in a big way

Made an appointment for an eye exam, after waiting for them to take me back. They had taken a walk-in before the scheduled appointment. I had to wait afterwards. No point in making an appointment when they don’t honor it.

I strongly recommend this store. They are professional and really care about your feeling. They are not that kind of salesmen only push you to pay the money. At the first time I picked one frame that I wanted, but they said that one may have some problem with my prescription. I feel so good they didn't cheated me!

I saw Dr Guler at Focus Family Eyecare inside Lens Crafters at West Acres. She's great, the new contacts she recommended are so much better then my previous brand. She took the time to listen to my needs and did a complete exam.

I am giving one star to this store because there is no "Zero" star option. I ordered a sun glass for my dad and the sales typed wrong prescription to my order. We waited a week and got a sun glass with totally different prescription on it and my dad needs it immediately. The other so called eye wear "consultant" can do nothing except asking me to buy a cheaper pair so that they can make it faster for me. Such a stupid and unprofessional mistake she made! So disappointed with the experience i had with this store! Never go to this store! I used to get glasses as well as sun glasses with LensCrafters, but this store changed my mind forever.

I give them two stars, the customer service was great but once my glasses arrived I had to send the back again because they just want adjusting to my eyes correctly. They talked me into getting the tint on them so when it's really sunny they turn a grey shade, needless to say I did and wore them at little buffalo for a family reunion and every since you can see the tint chipping on them. They was also supposed to apply the glaring shield for bright lights and driving at night but it don't work I paid 300$ for my glasses my very first time getting glasses here but I can reassure you I won't be back

I will never return again!!! This was going to be my primary eye doctor but not after I have been treated. I ripped my contact getting ready for work this morning and ran out of new ones, I also don't get paid for 3 more days and asked if I paid whatever amount they liked if I could get a trial one until Monday when I would order some more, keep in mind I am legally blind without them!! I was told there is nothing hey can do to help me. All is fair I suppose eyecare associates agreed to help me no questions asked!!! They have lost me as a client indefinitely.

The customer service is terrible. Actually very rude. Their sales rep lacked training and knowledge. There are two more lenscraft in columbus. And I am definitely not recommend you to come to this one. Their service is very unprofessional. It there is an option to give zero star rating. That is going to be given to them

Everyone is always very helpful and attentive. Gray is great at adjustments and I will not go anywhere in town except here. I've purchased all my glasses here and the eye doctor next door is fantastic! I highly recommend them.

The service and expertise here is unmatched. With new prescription in hand, I was greeted immediately at the door, encouraged to browse frames, and every option was explained in detail. I was given discounts I didn't even know were available. My glasses and sunglasses were made within a few days, and fitted with the latest technology. The best part about this experience was the staff. Alexis was amazing with her technical skill as well as keeping a full house of customers attended. She is very professional, shows her wide range of expertise easily, and covers every option. Other staff members are very friendly and accommodating, as well.

Very rude. I was there for over 30 min and never got anyone to help me. I tried on glasses and found some that I liked and I still couldn’t even get someone to help me because they were too busy hanging out behind the counter. Not going back!

Went there yesterday to get my glasses. I had my four hear old daughter with me. I was approached right away by a young woman with a red shirt (wish I could remember her name). She apologized right away that they were so busy but offered me a tray to put my choices of frame in. The staff were extremely patient assisting me while my daughter (who needed a nap) was... well being a kid. I was stuck between two Coach frames and Deb (the sales person) was very kind and honest. She even got my daughter her own chair to sit in. Joya also helped as well and gave my daughter a tissue for her nose. I loved how thoughtful they were. Then Deb said they would have my glasses ready in 1 hour. In the end I came back and saw the optometrist and I was pleased with the honesty and clarity. I'm very pleased with my experience. Though they were busy, they were costantly communicating and made me feel like their first priority. I will return again. Thanks to all the staff!
