New customer. The lady i spoke to over the phone was very friendly and helpful, and was able to get me in rite away to be seen. Apon arriving another lady got me signed in and started my eye exam. She was not as friendly and seemed irritated with any small talk. It made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. How ever, the dr we saw was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He had my new prescription ready quickly as well. Over all i enjoyed my visit and will be a returning customer, along with the other members of my family. Hoping the one lady was just having a bad day and not always that way with customers,because even her demeanor while walking through out the building assisting other customers was off putting and made her seem very unapproachable.I would still recommend this place to anyone needing eye care.

I ordered contacts in December. I had to call back five times to get them ordered. I finally got them ordered I waited two weeks for them to show up and the order was wrong. I'm still waiting and today is February 1st. I don't mean to be a complainer but I don't think this is the world we live in anymore where you have to wait a month for a pair of contacts. I've been going here for several years now but I think after I get my contacts I'm going to move to something closer to my house. This seems like a good opportunity to make the move.

Some doctors aren’t good with my little ones, but Dr. Quint is wonderful with kids. She came highly recommended from my mom-friends and I’m so glad I took their advice. I highly recommend Dr. Quint at Smart Eye Care! Five stars! Excellent care!

Dr. Smart was so rude to me and my child, telling me I should have gotten a sitter amongst other comments, and demanding him to do things/or not to do. I felt very uncomfortable/stressed and rushed out of there. I get to the front desk ready to pay in hopes of leaving immediately after that scenario, to wait 15 minutes because something just wasn't right with the paperwork. I go to pay and am told I need an extra $35 for a lense eval. On top of my $170 that I was charged for you know..being with the doctor for all of 15 minutes. I called to make sure of what I would be charged prior to the appointment so I knew I could cover this comfortably..and was told $170. If it wasn't for a couple very friendly and helpful staff in that building, I would have felt completely defeated. I'd reccomend maybe another eye care professional with some PROFESSIONALISM.

They provide great service and have a great selection of glasses to choose from. Very friendly people. They are very thorough with their eye exams and their office is very clean. I get my glasses quickly after ordering them and they are very helpful to make sure everything fits comfortably.

I have been a Smart Eye care patient for years. Up until recently, I have felt like a family member there. The atmosphere was calm, warm and friendly. I always felt well taken care of when leaving my appointments. In the last few months I have been in for numerous visits and I have noticed a change in the atmosphere. It now seems like there are more people and less employees to satisfy needs. When in the office, it is chaotic and loud and the patient care is rushed. I had called several times to order my contact lenses and decided, after speaking to three different ladies to just go in to order them when I received no return calls as promised. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly by an employee who's name was Renee. She was friendly, knowledgeable and immediately apologized for my lack of return phone calls. She answered several questions about my contact lens order to insurance coverage. I recently had an insurances change and she knew my coverage just from knowing where I worked. During my wait to pick up my contact lenses days later, I saw this same employee helping others waiting long periods of time to have adjustments with their glasses, while juggling all of the other responsibilities at her own work station. While I was exhausted just watching her, before I left I told her how valuable she must be to a company with such a recent high volume and what seems to be way less staff than they need. I'm disappointed with the recent lack of care, I am not sure I will be returning for my eye care needs. I do sure hope that employees like herself are well taken care of because she made all of the difference in my recent visits.

Accompanied my mum during her eye exam. I was very impressed with the care given to her. The staff was friendly and attentive. The doctor was very knowledgeable and actually took the time to explain everything. The atmosphere was professional and comfortable. I’m switching my entire family over to this office!

I think one of the requirements of working at SEC is that you must love your job. Everyone sure seems to! And I agree with other reviewers: Dr. Quint is an expert who takes time to get your care right. Highly recommend.

I recently had specialty care in Boston and my regular local doc knew nothing about it and was not interested in learning. I called these people, got right in and Dr. Quint knew all about it. She did exactly what was needed. Everyone there was kind, courteous and COMPETENT!!! I have been in the medical profession for decades and have had many different eye providers. This practice is outstanding and I highly recommend it. I won't go anywhere else.

I've been a patient at both the Bangor and Augusta offices for quite a few years now and I've always had a fabulous experience. The doctors I have seen have always been very kind and more than willing to make sure I understand what's going on, as well as address concerns/questions with an intersecting chronic health issue that can affect my vision neurologically. I wish y'all had a location just a little further south, though!

Tore a lens on vacation. Called and went to 3 different places. They all either wouldn't or couldn't help. Smart EyeCare was sympathetic and helpful. They were fast and efficient. Once they got my prescription from my eye doctor they gave me a sample immediately. If I lived in Augusta year round it's the ONLY place I would go.
