This place is a nightmare. I've worn contacts for 30 years. The first doctor caused an eye condition that made me go back to see two other doctors 6 more times and then billed my insurance because they had to prescribe me eye drops because THEY messed up my eyes. Not only that no one there knows whats going on each day, their billing is super messed up and they couldn't even do simple math to get me a refund when they overcharged me for contacts I had bought. I have NEVER had such a bad experience and will not return. Be sure if you go to plan on waiting hours to get in because no one will remember you made an appointment, or they will put down the wrong date and then tell you they will just have to get you in. I don't have enough space on this to write all the messed up things that happened. Avoid this place if you care about your eyes!

I was equally impressed for 3 years, until I was unable to remove a contact lens from my left eye. My eye was irritated and quite uncomfortable. I went to Advanced? Eye Care to get it removed. I was surprised when they wanted $95 to remove the contact, but as I value my vision, I paid it. < 5 minutes in the chair and the optometrist said my eye was irritated but there was no contact in there. He had inverted by eyelid and looked "everywhere". I asked if he was 100% sure or if he really meant “probably not there”. He checked a second time and confidently said he was 100% certain. He said it was impossible for him to miss, if it had been there. He told me not to wear a contact again for 2 weeks so my eye could heal properly. After a very uncomfortable night, the contact reappeared at the bottom of my eye the following day. I was furious. I had my eye checked professionally and it could have been damaged. The Doctor misrepresented his capabilities and I paid for a service which I didn’t receive. On the next business day, I went to Advance Eye Care to explain what had happened and expected them to “make it right”. WOW, was I wrong. My family and I are done with them. Our vision is too valuable to risk losing. Buyers beware, if using Advance Eye Care of Georgetown, KY!

Used to love this eye doctor and loved purchasing glasses from here, but they have either changed companies that make the lens or have cut corners while making my prescription. Scratch resistant coating no longer works, the glasses are shattering from the frames, and the anti-glare is terrible. I have had to get the lens fixed twice to no avail. I baby these things so there should be no reason why they are falling apart within 4 months of having them. I'm so disappointed. My old pair from here lasted over 4 years. What happened to the quality?

Love the doctor, but the glasses are garbage. My husband and I both got a regular pair and a pair of sunglasses. Only one pair have stayed together. Been back 4 times in 2 months. And my sunglasses broke again today after they were fixed on Wednesday and she said they would not come apart again.

I had a great experience here this morning! I bought my glasses from one of the big mall-based chain stores, and they're very good about selling you glasses. However, recently the frame separated from the lenses on one side of the pair I use most often. It looked to me like all that was needed was to replace a small plastic connector. I took the glasses back to the chain store and a salesman took about ten seconds to tell me there's no way they could be repaired. I pointed out that it looked like a simple repair and he still sent me away. The next day I looked for a store closer to my home and found Advanced Eye Care. I took the glasses in and they fixed them in about 15 minutes! They will have my business the next time I need new glasses or repairs.

My husband had an appointment for 1:00, we were asked to be there at 12:45 to fill out paperwork. We got there at 12:45 filled out paperwork and waited for over an hour. we were the first patients in the waiting area while there were about 5 other patients after us. 3 of them had been taken back and we were still waiting. We decided to leave and was very disappointed with the wait. We left around 1:50. I know this is a fairly new office but I suggest you go else where if you don't want to wait.

These guys are excellent. I am a patient there and have been for years. Dr. Habash has always taken care of my needs and more. Went for an exam picked out and ordered my glasses. They got my prescription wrong had to go back after waiting a week for my glasses I paid 200 for, get another exam for them to see what they got wrong they then had to resend my glasses out. I’m now going three weeks without my glasses.Some of the staff is extremely friendly but some really makes you feel like a burden just walking through the door.

Great caring , knowledgeble and professional service! HIGHLY Recommend. My only issue is not with Advanced Eye care. My angst is with the pharmacutical companies. Dr. Wilson -after careful examination and knowledge of my condition perscribed Restasis. I gave the perscription to my pharmacy. The gave me the perscription with an $1800 bill!! I don't need to tell you I do not have Restasis and the pharmacy still has it and will have it forever. My point is there has to be investigations and laws made to reduce drug charges!!

All the people here are really nice, walk you through every step, and explain the results of the tests.They actually looked up my insurance info ahead of time and had it all ready to go. I don't have optical insurance but they informed me that my health plan includes a yearly exam. I walked in expecting to pay the full price out of pocket and ended up only paying my copay!

My mother is as visiting me from out of town and forgot her tool to put in her contacts. I guess this tool is hard to come by. Called around, this placed had it but wouldn’t sell it to us because they “only help clients”. Seriously!? That’s a TERRIBLE attitude!! Will never go there, even as a client!

The Doctors are all very kind and patient. Specifically- my 14 yr old is trying out contacts and has had some difficulty getting the contacts in and out. Dr. Ahmad was so kind to her and helped her to feel confident. She has now successfully been able to insert and remove with no problem! Great staff too!

I went there in 2015 because I needed prescription lenses for my new Oakley sunglasses, and I decided to get regular glasses as well. My prescription had only changed .25 in one eye since 1985. When I picked up my new glasses, seemed fine until I got out on the road, couldn't read signs very well, went back and they retested, still can't see as clear as I can with my old glasses, didn't bother going back, wasn't worth the hassle, and I don't wear those glasses, but I spent $350 for prescription lenses and I put up with not being able to see as clear with them, I just don't drive with them on. Now I have an appointment with my old Dr here in Frankfort and when she called to verify my eligibility apparently this place had placed an ownership on my insurance so no other Dr office's could get access to my insurance, so I had to call my insurance company and remove this place, which tried to tell me they couldn't get in to the site to see what the problem was, and normally it's only 30 days that the have ownership of your insurance. So due to my experience with this place, I highly recommend going some where else, I chose not to review after the initial ordeal of not being able to see as clear with the new prescription, but when the ownership of my insurance came up, I decided to definitely let everyone know (0☆'s, but that's not an option)

I recently moved to Georgetown and was recommended Advanced Eye Care Center by a colleague. I was very impressed. The facility is very clean, the technology all seems up-to-date and efficiently used, the staff are very friendly and helpful, services are available for all ages (pediatric and adults) with multiple frame and contact options, and the Optometrist was friendly, knowledgable, and did not make the appointment feel rushed at all. I was given more than enough time to have my questions answered (even in regard to changes in insurance) and they even gave me directions when I was lost. :) I highly recommend them to any patient.

I went to Advanced Eyecare a few weeks ago because my regular check-up was overdue and I was having irritation in my eye. The overall doctor's visit went smoothly, and the doctor was friendly. I was a little surprised that the contact exam cost $90, but I didn't have anything to compare it to. After talking with a friend, I found out that the contact exam at Whylie in Johnston was $45. They ended up giving me two contact types to trial and see which ones worked with my eyes the best. I had earlier offered to call to give them the name of the contacts that previously worked very well for me, but they said that wasn't necessary. Neither trial pair seemed to fit my eye very well, so this was discouraging considering that I didn't get to try the previous pair that I had used. This made me put off rescheduling a follow-up - I wasn't sure if they would charge me for another appointment since I wasn't satisfied with either lens. I then received a charge from the Advanced Eyecare for the general eye exam that should have been covered under my insurance company. I called to question about the charges and the front desk employee not only didn't provide me with an answer to my question, but was also very short and rude to me over the phone. I know that with phone support, thoughts and conversations can be lost since much of communication is visual. However, I do not like working with companies that are difficult to do business with, so I decided to go with a different eye care center to order my contact lenses. To do this, I needed contact prescription information, which they were unable or unwilling (not sure which one) to provide me with - not even just over the phone, but in person. I ended up having to re-do my contact evaluation because of this. The front desk women at the new eyecare center sounded shocked that Advanced wouldn't provide me with this information. I'm sure that Advanced Eyecare Center has been good for many people, but the bad experiences are the ones cause businesses to lose customers and referrals.
