Wish I could rate them a negative five stars.....Took my son there for glasses only because he wanted a certain designer frame that the Optical Shoppe carried. First, there hours are not accommodating for working parents, no weekend hours, so I left work early to get my son there well before closing time. The staff make you feel as though they are rushing you... they didn't help with selecting a frame... just basically pointed where the frames were and make you shop on your own! Staff busy closing tickets, put up cash drawer, etc. to answer any questions. Next, when we finally made a selection, the fitting was only 30 seconds, which I thought was odd because every where else does digital pics, fittings, etc. Finally, when glasses came back, they were WRONG! When I specifically said GLARE RESISTANT and SCRATCH RESISTANT lenses..... of course the lenses were not that! I canceled my order and asked that my benefits be reinstated so I could take my business elsewhere. Staff member, AMANDA, told me that I didn't give them time to correct the problem.... WE WAITED FOR 2 WEEKS AND THE GLASSES CAME BACK WRONG! I AM NOT GOING TO CHANCE YOU GETTING IT WRONG AGAIN AND MESS MY CHILD'S EYES UP! She also rudely stated that they could NOT make glasses for us in the future because we didn't purchase these and this is a loss for them because they will have to pay for it! SO WHAT, NOT COMING BACK ANYWAY! :-(

Wonderful service from everyone! Dr. Allen took the time to get to know me as a patient. I didn’t feel like I was being rushed or felt like I was just another dollar sign like I felt at my old eye doctor’s office. Definitely recommend!

I've been going to The Optical Shoppe for years and would recommend them highly to anyone. Their staff is always professional and helpful. They have an excellent selection of frames in every price range and the staff has always known the right glasses for the look I want. I wear progressive lens glasses, and they are hard to get right, but this shop has always gotten them perfect. I love Dr. Allen and his staff. Trust me you won't regret using The Optical Shoppe.

I’ve been going to The Optical Shoppe for going on two years now and have had nothing but good experiences. I have seen Dr. Allen and Dr. Dawson and both were great! Friendly staff all around and always had the best help when picking out frames. Even rushed to get there one time to pick up my glasses and got there ten minutes for closing. I felt horrible for getting there so late but everyone was still very nice to me and took the time to sit down and adjust my glasses as needed.

Have been going to The Optical Shoppe since I was in elementary school, it was amazing when I was able to see Dr Allen every visit but for the past couple of years I haven’t been able to. Called today to reschedule my appointment since I missed the last one because my child was sick and they said they were no longer able to take me as a patient anymore due to me missing too many appointments. The years that they mentioned I missed most were in 2013 and 2014 when I was in high school and did not have a vehicle. My family has been loyal to them for 15 years (that’s when my mom began going there) and now they have lost two of their loyal patients. Them denying me a reschedule proved to us that they just don’t care about their patients anymore.

I was given a 50% off coupon by the Optical Shoppe that boldly states no expiration date, and now they won't honor it. I was told that the store was under new ownership and they would only be willing to give me 10% off. If they changed the name I could understand, but they didn't. The same name that's on my 50% off is still the name of the store. On top of that the owner seems like a bored housewife that decided she wanted a hobby. You'll find a more knowledgeable company/owner if you google glasses in New Orleans and blindly pick one. This place won't last another year.

Professional, courteous staff. I occasionally try other stores because the limited frame selection here doesn't always have something to my taste, but routinely wind up regretting the poor-to-average service I receive elsewhere. The prices here seem fair, too, especially for the area. But really, this optical shop is all about the customer service.
