Unfortunately, very unhappy with the lack of a return policy with frames that were defective and then, unavailable. Insurance allowance used up and an additional few hundred dollars unusable. Update 8.29.18 The owner is literally refusing to give a credit for frames that were damaged, due to me leaving a review. The company has literally retracted a credit I have in writing. The whole reason is that I left a review. I am appalled.

GREAT place to get glasses!! The customer service was amazing!! A huge thank you to Paulina & Jessie! They each were very patient with both of my boys each time I brought them in for new glasses. We recently went back to pick up my older son's glasses & I had the pleasure to meet the owner, Matthew. Thank you for taking time to assist and being patient with my son as well. We will be back! Rose is great, but the lab is horrible. Not only do they take 3-4 weeks to get your glasses to you, I've had to return them to re-do and that takes another 3-4 weeks. I decided to get my new sunglasses at Costco because of how long it takes Peabody Optical to do a job and I literally had my glasses in 3 days. I love Peabody's frames, but I hate having to wait so long. This time I was promised I'd have my glasses back from the re-do in a week and a half and it's been three weeks. Great service in the store, but lousy service by their lab.

Just happened to walk by and saw the shop, popped in and was instantly glad I did. The knowledge these people have is crazy! I had no idea there was an alternative to buying my glasses. I always just got whatever my doctor told me to. Jessi was just amazing, told me honestly what looked good on me and what didn't. so so SO happy with my new frames THANKS YOU GUYS! 10/10 will recommend!

Like looking through rose colored glasses!!! We love this store!!! This was our second trip to Mr. Peabody's, my mother and I in search of SwissFlex frames. (So tickled that they carry these amazing glasses) I must say that our first visit was not as enjoyable as our second. Jessi is brilliant! Her smile lit up the shop by-golly!!! We arrived just as she was opening up her peeper boutique. Even though she was busy getting all in order for the day, she dropped everything and totally focused on us. Jessi is delightful, very knowledgeable and patient. And with the backdrop all of the very cool frames, she is the coolest~ We will most definitely return with smiles on our faces~

I would not recommend this place to anyone! I trusted good reviews on Google, plus this place is close to my office, big mistake! One lady in this shop was completely incompetent, she wrote down my information incorrectly which ended up in a huge difference between two lenses. The other lady promised they would fix my order, but I still ended up with glasses that dont let me see clearly. Such a disappointment. I was so fed up with waiting (it took two weeks both times) that I decided not to deal with them anymore. Worst money and time ever spent:(

I went in to see if they could fix the bent hinge on my Ray Ban sunglasses and within 5 minutes of being there they had the hinge back to normal and the sunglasses were wearable again! Highly recommend!

Just received my new Varilux progressive polarized sunglasses with a black mirror coating on them. The world is a better place! They look amazing! No one can believe they are prescription sunglasses. Thanks Mr. Peabody's:))

I had never visited Mr. Peabody's Optical Shoppe but tried them when my Ray Ban sunglasses were broken. The lens partially popped out of the frame and the frame itself was bent. Paulina took a look at them while I waited and was able to fix them completely - IN 10mins, COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE. She was pleasant and clearly very helpful, refusing any payment for fixing the glasses. While she worked on them, I had a moment to look at the lovely frames they had - also well priced. Overall a stellar experience, I'll be back for my next pair of prescription lenses!

Never had glasses in my whole life and was so nervous to get them. I always thought I looked terrible in glasses. Idk how I found this place (possibly google?) but I'm glad I did! I went in with my boyfriend and tried every single pair on my face. The two ladies working were super honest and sincere about which looked best. They assured me that I look great and that the most important thing is that I'm taking care of my eyes and being preventative before my vision gets worse. One of them swore once I try them on with the lenses that a whole new world will open up. The next thing I was worried about was the cost but when I picked them up after getting lenses in them I paid a total of about $105. Don't know why but they verified the price was correct! I'm okay with that! I receive compliments on them every single day and I haven't gone a day without them since. The employee was 100% correct. It was like I didn't even know this vision was possible! Thank you Mr Peabody. Will recommend to everyone and I will be back for a second pair! :)

Great frames. And that is it. Lenses made me dizzy from day one. My husband had the same problem with the bi focals he got from them. And they weren’t amenable in trying to fix them. We won’t be back. Unfortunately for your business, we addressed the issue of a possible lense problem and were told “there is nothing we can do.” After multiple discussions, My husband requested to meet with the regional manager, set an appointment, and the reg. Mgr. was a “no show.” You clearly did not stand behind your product.

Here on a family trip, son's glasses screw fell out, stopped here and they put the screw back but tightened all of it so well that to my son was very happy to put them on. If we lived local, this would be our optical shop! Thank you!

WOW! That sums it up (in a good way) and I will tell you why. I have a neurological problem with my eyes that is referred to as "complex migraines". I don't necessarily get headaches but my eyes are very sensitive to fluorescent lights and they become jittery and I am not able to focus. My Neuro Ophthalmologist, in Utah, has prescribed a special tint on my glasses called FL--41. (If you suffer from migraines you will want to research this.) They only place in Boise that is contracted with a lab that has this special tint is...you guessed it Mr.Peabody's Optical Shoppe! Jessi is amazing! She understands the necessity of this tint and what color frames work well with it. I happen to have a very narrow face and it is difficult to find frames that fit properly. She went above and beyond in this process. We must have tried every frame in the shop to no avail. She gave the names of several places to look. When that didn't work out she did the unthinkable! She reached out to other Opticians in the area and found the perfect person that could help me find the perfect frame and a frame that could work within the many parameters. I have strong prescription, progressive bi-focals, narrow face and need the FL-41 tint. It was tough! I found the glasses at a different optical shop, bought them and took them back to Jessi to complete the process. Can't wait for them to come in. I will definitely go back to her and to Mr. Peabody's Optical Shoppe!

Great staff but absolutely worst lenses I have ever had. Bought the non-“premium lenses” first. They scratched within a month. So I replaced with the premium, scratch resistant, non glare, better at night and rain. Still scratched, still incredibly smudgy and I see absolutely no difference at night or when it is raining. Told them this and nothing. Will not go again.

I went to Mr Peabody's to renew my prescription. I had heard they had a machine that would measure your prescription in about 10 minutes. While I understand that this does not replace a full eye health exam from an optometrist, it was incredibly convenient to take a few minutes out of my day to get my prescription renewed, rather than scheduling an appointment months out that will take an hour or more to get a new prescription. Also, the service at Mr. Peabody's was second to none! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and I felt very well taken care of. Overall, a fantastic experience. I will definitely be back.

I recently lost insurance but needed new glasses. I heard about the 95$ single lens and frame deal for January. This was an incredibly lucky thing for me! The overall purchase I made (I did upgrade to some different lenses: transition and indigo coating for computers) was cheaper than what I paid, with insurance, for my last transition lenses last year! I even got a better scratch coat! The selection that was included in the sale wasn't your typical "iwouldn'tbecaughtdeadinthose" clearance frames you see at other eye-care facilities. While they don't have an optometrist on sight, getting my prescription was easy. Honestly I prefer to go to Intermountain Eye Care where you don't have the pressure of "Only buying from your optometrists facility". I don't like when facilities hold your RX ransom so you have buy from them. You just have the freedom to shop how you want! Be free from eye insurance! Mr. Peabody's also have a nice list of referrals for all situations. :D Did I mention the frame selections are super cute and I haven't been happier with a pair of glasses in about 8 years?!

Walked in just to ask if they had any glasses cleaning wipes as mine had gotten dirty as I was skating downtown from my house. They just gave me a free glasses cleaning kit instead of selling me something! If they treat random walk ins like this, I would have to guess they treat their customers well. I’ll definitely be stopping in next time I need a new pair of glasses!

After having had a bad experience with this optical shop a couple of years ago, I only returned there to have glasses made because I learned that it was under new ownership. When my husband and I went to settle on some glasses on November 4, the owner was present and seemed knowledgeable. Unfortunately, it ended up being a disaster. When the glasses came back I was unable to see through one lens. The glasses were remade twice with the same issue. The optical shop seemed unwilling to believe that there was a problem, despite the fact that I have been wearing glasses for the past thirty years and that the prescription was the same as my old glasses, which worked perfectly. I went back to the optician at my optometrist’s office who confirmed that one lens was made incorrectly. My husband talked to the manager extensively, but the company refused to fix the issue or to refund us and/or the insurance company. We went to pick up these useless glasses yesterday, two and a half months after it all started. Fortunately, my insurance will allow me to have my lenses remade in an optical store that not only “accepts” the insurance name but is also part of the network so that there will not be any issue with a refund if necessary. My main issue with this outfit is that they are incapable of making a good product. On top of this, some employees are rude, condescending, and unknowledgeable when faced with these kinds of technical issues.
