My experience was very pleasant. Started out a little unwelcoming, however before I left their establishment the staff showed great customer service and became very attentive. Katherine was a delight, she made me feel like I was visiting her home having a girls day trying on glasses. She’s very knowledgeable in job. She explained what she’ was doing, and gives you details on your billing. Also we had laughter, which is good for the soul. She makes you feel very comfortable. Her opinion of my glasses were very honest. I knew the glasses were a perfect fit for my face. Thanks for the great staff at Cumberland Mall Location. I’m glad I waited for the Doctor.

My appointment was at 4:15 and I was out of the office by 4:45 with a new prescription and a 6 month supply of contacts. The doctor was extremely efficient and the staff was kind and helpful. This was by far the best experience I have ever had at an optometrist, and I’ve worn glasses since third grade. I highly recommend Town Centre Visionworks in Kennesaw.

I have been getting prescription glasses for over 20 years. I have visited every well-known provider and I was so pleased with my visit to Visionworks. And I was so very very happy with my consultant, Jabri. He was knowledgeable, patient, he took his time to explain to me my spending and different ways I could choise my purchase depending on my priorities for the glasses that I wanted. His patience and kindness was very much appreciated.

Poor cutting quality. How did these get so poorly looked over by the staff prior to telling me they were ready?! Shows they could care less. Even the second attempt had a few minor uneven cuts. Just going to make do at this point. Customer service needs alot of work. Only 2 guys were the nicest. Wish I remembered their names. Should have stayed at Lenscrafters even if they only take a portion of my work insurance. I won't be back to Visionworks.

I was excited with the selection of frames. Decided to go with progressives. When my glasses came in a week later, they hadn’t called me, I just stopped by. No one fitted them to my face, and they gave me a random case from some other designer—tacky. On the drive home I was having an uncomfortable time seeing. I finally figured out that the center of vision was way off and that I had to cock my head to the left to see straight ahead. That night a 1/4” split appeared in the lens next to the screw. The next day the other lens had cracked. When I took them back, they were happy to assist and acted “shocked” that no one had adjusted them to my face. When the associate remarked my lenses for the correct center, she was very close to me and said, “look at me nose.” I said, “if I do that it’ll make me go cross eyed and it won’t be centered again!” Do these people have any training? It’s been a week now and I haven’t heard anything, and no one has answered their phone. I smell disaster with Visionworks!

I've been to this store a few times before and the staff was horrible, on a visit to the mall I glanced at vision works and noticed a few new faces so I decided to give vision works another try, I spoke with Gary and he was able to assist my daughter and I with some awesome frames. I will be coming back soon for another pair as long as Gary is there. Such a handsome man!!!

Dr Escobar was extremely professional and gave me a personalized experience. She listened to what I had to say aboht past experiences as well as what I was looking for in my contact lens product. She gave me great recommedations for testing different brands & styles. I didn't feel rushed like what is so common in stores like this. She was attending to me as well as other patients and everyone seemed to be moving along in their individual process in an organized way. I didn't feel like she was trying to sell to me or get me out the door and I really appreciate the time she took with me.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I showed up for my 12:20 eye appointment today 10 mins early, filled out my paperwork, and waited to be called. After 45 minutes, I asked the store associate if she know how far behind they were running. She told me that it would be another 1.5 hours until they could see me! I chuckled and asked her if she thought that customers might want to know that information so that they could reschedule? She replied that I could have asked if they were running behind, lol. This was my first experience with this company, and what a first impression! If they simply would have informed me when I walked in how long I would have had to wait, I would have been perfectly happy rescheduling. Instead they wasted my entire lunch break for nothing. Needless to say I will be buying my prescription glasses and sunglasses from a company that cares more about their customers. And I'm going to recommend this example for a case study of how company's lose customers through bad service.

I will never return. Both visits in the last weeks were the same. Walk in. I’m not greeted I have to ask for service. The employees move like Gary the snail.

Oh my God. I don't usually say that but Eric was awesome on yesterday. He took care of all of my needs. I actually thought that he was the Manager. He gave excellent service not only to me but others around him. He allowed God to use him in an extreme cold situation...lol. Because oof that I have already referred several people to vision works. He makes the office thrive. Go Eric!!!! I got my glasses and contacts within 20 min. The glasses only took 8 minutes to cut and prepare. Eric is awesome so is the manager. Believe it or not less than 15 mins later I was walking out with what seriously felt like a new pair of glasses! My experience here was Super Fast. Walked in just to ask questions about my insurance coverage. 2 minutes later I had an appointment scheduled for that same day. 1/2 hour later I was being seen by a doctor, picked out a pair of glasses, and walked with a trial pair of contacts!!!! The reps and techs are professional and friendly and the Dr. was awesome. They know their stuff. Went in last Saturday and picked up my glasses today the following Wednesday. Who knew it was this easy!!!! And super fast...

Worst experience at an eye doctor ever. It took forever for someone to greet me. Then after I filled out the paperwork (which took less than 2mins) I stood and waited again. Someone finally came to input my information and got inturrupted to do something else- this happened two other times with different employees as well. They each asked me the same questions. After I saw the doctor minutes went by before it was acknowledged that I needed checked out and no one offered to help me look at frames either. I ended up ordering frames online only for two weeks to go by with hearing nothing from them. When I finally called in someone said they just have a high order of glasses right now and they’ll reach out. He didn’t even offer to look into it. The next day I get a call saying my frames are unavailable and I need to pick new ones... this place is a joke. They are so unoragnized and their staff has no idea what’s going on. The only positive was the actual eye doctor was great and made the appointment a breeze. I was there for two hours which is ridiculous.

I was hesitant to come here after reading the reviews, but did anyway. All the staff are friendly, the doctor was very thorough during the exam and didnt seem to rush through. I was a walk in without an appointment and was seen in less than 15 minutes. However there seems to be a lack of communication between the staff, for no one knew that I was waiting to be given contacts and then later when I was waiting to pay and no one assisted me until I reminded them myself that I was waiting. The people here are wonderful, but some structure and communication is badly needed. On a follow up visit I waited nearly an hour to be seen despite having an appointment. Won't be back to this location.

I was having extreme redness in one eye. They fit me in that day when I called. Doc gave me a lot of good info. Rx for eye drops and all seems much better only 24 hrs later-which is great! I have my follow up appointment today. Doc wanted to follow up and check to make sure everything was healing and if it wasn’t to take another step. No insurance and I felt the price for the exam was reasonable. Very happy with my visit

Customer service here sucks! Doctor was great. I've been waiting over 5 weeks for my glasses. Every time I call, I get placed on hold for over 10 min. Each time they tell me it'll be in tomorrow, which is their standard response. I have come in to the store over 10x. Each time the manager Mr. Patrick tells gives me some excuse. It's now 6 weeks and I've yet to get my glasses! Mr Patrick is all nice and friendly, but he just gives excuses every single time. Unbelievable!!

I purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses from here and was told they would be ready for pickup in 10 days. When I went to pick them up, they brought out a pair of frames that they claimed were mine. Then they said there must have been a mixup on their end. They later whispered right in front of me that my frames hadn't even been ordered yet. Horrible customer service. I asked for a refund and the retail manager, Gary B., didn't even acknowledge me until the end of the refund process. As he handed me the receipt, he said he sorry but couldn't even look me in the eyes.

I went twice, each visit was terrible. First I went for an eye exam where they said to walk in and I ended up waiting over an hour. The optometrist was great but the others were useless. The second time the associate gave me a death stare and had zero patience for basic pricing questions.

Terrible service....we ordered glasses three weeks ago. We were told the glasses would be ready on a certain date, made a 30 mile trip to the store and the glasses were not ready. We were told the glasses would be ready the next day. Called today and the lens were broken in the process of placing them in the frames, another 10 days possibly a week. Thanks for the inconvenience since Visionworks did receive over $400 on the day of service!!! Still waiting to hear regarding glasses...one call from an individual regarding the service, but no follow-up. She stated someone would reach out to me, but so far nothing. Last year i spent over a thousand dollars with Visionworks. I will definitely try to find another store who appreciates my business!

The doctors are rude and dismissive (told me my symptoms were "all in my head"), customer service staff is disorganized and inattentive, and the quality of frames and lenses is poor, especially for the cost. They do not follow through on promises (I was promised a $75 refund for my trouble when they made a mistake, and not only was the refund never issued, even after calling twice and visiting in person, when they “fixed“ the problem, I received glasses with lenses that looks like they were cut by a five-year-old.) I do not normally give my unsolicited opinion when I have a bad experience, but in this case it is warranted. I am appalled at how bad this place is.

After walking out of a different eye care establishment this morning because of there wasn't a lot of glasses to choose from (I wanted rimless glasses and they had "O") and the fact that the staff was so, well, unwelcoming, I reluctantly chose to go back to Visionworks in the Cumberland Mall which I had previously decided not to go back to again. I didn't have an appointment so I wasn't expecting it to be a great experience. I was not just surprised at my experience this time, I honestly left happy. The entire staff had changed since I had been there last and boy was that refreshing. They were friendly, knowledgeable and had a since of humor. It was like an entirely different place. I'm s glad I decided to go back. To whomever decided to change things, thank you. You have a loyal customer again. :-)

No wonder this place has two stars! I went to get a contact lens exam some time ago. After getting there, they told me the contact lenses I needed as a trial were not in stock. They gave me a trial pair a week after I got the exam and when I went home to put them on I noticed one of the lenses were dried out with no liquid in the lens package. They had to reorder, which took another week. I was not able to get back to the office for three months due to family issues and when I called to finally get an appointment they told me the time allowed to use the prescription had expired so I have to pay for another exam. $120! What? I barely used the contacts! When asked why they did not tell me that there was a timeframe to go back and check on the fitting of the lenses, the gentleman over the phone said yes they did tell you that sir. I told the man I will not be going back there and hung up the phone. I would have never waited so long if I knew! Stay away from this place!

I can’t remember the guy’s name, but he was a great sales man. I ended up spending more money on the HD glasses, but I have to say it was worth it. I’m noticing things are looking more detailed and the TV looks great. Not to mention the lens are thinner, so I dont look like I can see into the future. I can’t wait to go see a movie! Yeah the wait is long. It’s in Cumberland mall. What do you expect? If you don’t want to wait so long then I would suggest going on a weekday, right at 10, when they open. The doctor didn’t seem very experienced because once I got my lens the right one was off. I went back in and they were really nice in helping me correct the issue. Overall I had a good experience. I hate going in malls, but this place is right by the door and parking deck, so I didn’t have to deal with all the people. Overall it was a good experience.

Here's how you get a store like Visionworks: The Georgia Optometric Association has lobbied into law numerous protectionist policies that are not designed to help consumers but to force consumers to purchase more medical "care" than they need - laws which serve not a medical function, but a financial one. When the industry can use legislation to create customers - to force people into their stores for care they neither want or need, you get Visonworks. What incentive do eyeglass and contact lens stores have to give even the baseline level of service I get from my local tire shop? Extremely frustrated and happy to join the fight against protectionist legislation and against this corrupt industry in particular.

This place is worst. They would take your money and will not give glasses on time. I went to store twice and they turned me down, saying they dont have the person who can dispense my glasses. On Friday evening, they dont have the person who dispenses glasses. They r turning everyone down on Friday. A CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS. If I could give no stars I would. I booked a appointment online. I am about to walk out the door and they call me stating someone else booked the appointment but did not get to the check out screen before I did. So they ask me the person who already had the appointment to come in another day! They also said they wouldn’t see me because they already had someone else coming in even though the appointment was available online. Completely unprofessional! Don’t waste your time or money here.

My wife and I went for an eye appointment and new glasses on Saturday. The staff was excellent, even though they were short staffed. Damond Patrick was kind and considerate while juggling the phones, walk-in customers and those of us ordering glasses. The optometrist and optometrist tech were also great.

Run. Do not walk away from this store. I placed an order for 2 pairs of glasses which I cancelled for a refund the next day. No problem until I tried to get glasses with another provider the same day. They said they would make a call to release my benefits the following Monday (almost a week). I couldn't wait and paid out of pocket. It's been over a month and I still haven't had benefits released by Visionworks. According to one of many calls to my insurance company, they are now claiming that they did fill the RX and I received them. No I didn't! This is completely false. I say all this to warn you to be careful if you choose to use your vision benefits with this business.

I've been coming to this location for my vision needs for a pretty long time. I've always been satisfied with the wide selection of frames, and lightweight lenses. Yesterday, I found my dog had somehow gotten ahold of my glasses and proceeded to munch on them. The frame was completely mangled, but the lenses were OK, with some scratches at the edges. Luckily I had another pair of glasses with same size frame. I brought everything to the store and asked Dwayne E. if he could replace the lenses in the frame that was still good. He grabbed a few tools and in 10min, I had my glasses back - this was a real emergency since I was going on travel in two days! Kudos to Dwayne for fantastic customer service and a can-do attitude, and literally saving the day... I guess I will keep the dog too. Thank you VisionWorks!

I left there knowing exactly where I stood towards the purchase of 3 new reasonably priced pairs of glasses. Returned the next day for exam was treated well by and because of the prior day's information I was able to get in and out in no time. First time at this Visionworks Office and it was outstanding! Ty was exceptionally helpful and informative. Every question I had, she answered and explained thoroughly. She reviewed all the options my insurance afforded me and gave me the choice of how I wanted to use those benefits, instead of pushing every little charge on me because of the benefits I had. I was truly impressed. Her daughter was there, and she was such a little beauty. Dr. Escobar was also great! Unlike some of the other Optometrists I've seen in the past, she really took the time to explain my vision issues in a way layman's terms so I could understand thoroughly. She gave me recommendations for how to treat my dry eyes and redness, which, in all of my 57 years, have never had an Optometrist do, EVER! They even printed out my prescription, which again, other Optometrists haven't done without my having to ask. I'm imminently pleased I chose this Visionworks location. I highly recommend it!

I was in Cumberland Mall for Black Friday not really going to have my eyes checked and came across Visionworks. The front staff were very courteous and helpful. They explained what I needed to look for in purchasing a frame, which I have never been told. The whole experience took roughly an hour. It got hecked due to Black Friday and the sale they were having, but they were very professional the whole time. I will be using them as my eye place now.

The WORST location I've ever been to. I scheduled an appointment and wasn't seen until an HOUR later. Ridiculous. The customer service is subpar and the general manager has a bit of an attitude as well. Not very helpful, just focused on selling crappy frames.

Darryl is very rude! I spent over $600 dollars at this location weeks ago. I called to ask if my glasses were ready and he rudely tells me “I’m not going back there to check” he then proceeds to rudely tell me how much time he has remaining. So I will have to go another day not being able to see because “they don’t have time” to go open up a box. I will never go here again!

Went in on February 27, 2019 to either set up or get a walk in appointment. It was absolutely no crowd. Front desk clerk took 5 five minutes to even acknowledge the fact that I was there. Once I told her why I was there . She said I might need an appointment with only one person in the office being seen! Then she continued to chat and show pictures of braids that she have done and can do! I walked around and still was not even made an appointment. As she held an extremely long conversation about her daughter's braids and the styles that she is able to do. I thought this is an optometry office not a braid shop!

Very professional, I went in to Lenscrafters first and set there for about 35 mins, then went downstairs to Visionworks. The people there immediately greeted us , I filled out the papers and was in to see the Doctor within 10 min. For 5 years, this was the only optometrist anywhere nearby that would accept my insurance. Never late for an appointment, but not once in five visits was I left waiting for less than 50 minutes. Fortunately the insurance encumberment is no longer an issue, and neither are visits here.

I called to see if they had same day appointments. I was told to come in because they had available appointments. When I got there I had a bad feeling because I noticed they were short staffed. I waited an hour and was never helped. Another staff member came to me and after she saw me standing at the front desk. She proceed to say "You're next." Worst experience ever!!!!! my prescription was off and when i put on my glasses everything looked warped. I called and asked if i could get a new test done and if i could change the frames (I chose them when I was didn't have my contacts in so when i got them back i found that they were unflattering on me) and they said it would not be a problem. When I went in for my new appointment, again I asked to change the frames and they said it would not be a problem, so when my test was done they kept handing me off from one person to another. Finally a gentleman helped me and I handed him the new frames i wanted. However in the midst of my transaction he got a personal phone call (I could tell it was a personal call because he kept going on and on about what he was going to wear to some event) and he took longer checking me out and explaining nothing to me. I was in a rush so I just needed him to hurry up, and didn't think much of it... until I went to pick up my new glasses today. First, I was given the glasses with perhaps a new prescription but THE SAME FRAMES even though I had been previously mentioned multiple times that i wanted to change the frames, when i mentioned this to the person who handed me the new glasses he seemed confused, and this now made it clear that the person who rung me out messed up. the worst part was that I was in a rush and could not even find the frames i had previously selected and wanted, so i picked the closest pair that i could find that resembled the ones i liked. As I did this, I noticed that the guy who had messed up my order and the guy who handed me my "new frames" were talking and as I handed them the frames that I quickly settled for they tried to convince me to just keep the old frames because they thought they looked better. Again, I politely let them know that I found them unflattering and they finally let me change the pair. In the end, what should have been a 2 trip visit has ended up being a 5 trip visit, and honestly after this visit I will never go back. This staff is clearly unprofessional and clearly do not care for their customers. EDIT: I was told that they wanted to "look into this issue" and they asked for me to email them my contact information. I immediately sent them my information yet they have never responded back, it's been like 3 weeks. This company clearly does not care about its customers and if i could rate this company negative stars I would.

Eye exam. We are 10 mins late and I was told there are a few people in front of me when the appointment was set 10 mins earlier than the current time right now. The guy at the front desk said "we double book". Needless to say, I won't ever come back.

Visionworks WON''T let patients use their Bathroom so you have to go OUTSIDE Vistionworks, use Cumberland Mall's PUBLIC bathroom it's like a mile apart!; this is an unsanitary practice and that any eye doctor would allow patients to use its bathroom for sanitary reasons as in any doctor's office. The only reason I use Visionworks is for the eye doctor. Overall I wouldn't recommend Visionworks--some of the staff are rude, unprofessional like regular retail mall workers. I question some of the staff's credentials in working with vision care.

I've attempted to visit other vision care retailers in my travels and in my own home state. But my preferred vision care retailer (hands down the best service) is Visionworks at Cumberland Mall. This visit to Atlanta I was able to get a thorough check of my eyes by Dr. Escobar, and was assisted by all of the staff there. Customer Service is the best, and in 2018 good customer service is rare. I especially appreciate Gary, the associate that assisted me in choosing my new specs that I received so many compliments on. Instead of just selling me something I thought looked good, we took the time together to choose the best selection for me. I appreciate good service and highly recommend this store.
