Had an appointment at Delaware Eye Clinic in January 2019; doctor was nice, the glasses I purchased there (progressive lenses) were very expensive ($850—more than any other vision provider I’ve been to). Went back for follow up in July 2019 and was left waiting over an hour to see doctor. An assistant dilated my eyes shortly after my 10:00 appointment time, and I was then asked to wait for doctor, who would “be with me shortly.” At 11:10, the doctor hadn’t seen me and no one had bothered to let me know that he was running late or how much longer I’d have to wait, I let the front desk know that I’d been waiting 1 hour, 10 minutes beyond my appointment time and couldn’t wait any longer. I can’t afford to take unlimited time off work, and pay inflated prices for eyeglasses, and won’t be going back to Delaware Eye Clinic.

They call you tell you the doctor needs to see you right away and than when you get there tell you that you are being worked in and leave you sitting for over an hour. No t a great feeling for the patient. The staff should be a aware of the patients chart and why they are coming in to been seen you get a call to come right away. Instead they ask you why your here, why your vision is blurry and how long has it been happening. Maybe a little more compassion for the patient would help. The office manger seems to come off insensitive when in a very compassionate voice states well it was your choice to come in at this time and that there are other appointments that come first. I would be okay with that statement had I called for an appointment. But it was the doctors office that called me and said I needed to get there because the doctor needed to see me today. Not a great experience.

Prior to visiting Delaware Eye Clinics I was legally blind without corrective lenses. Cataracts prevented me from driving at night. Now, after cataract surgery and new glasses I can see normally for the first time in memory ! If more stars were available, I would add them. Professional courteous staff both in the office and clinic; Dr Conti and Dr Jaoude top-notch professionals with impeccable bed side manner taking the time to examine thoroughly and explain to the patient. Similar experience at Lewes Surgery Center where cataract surgery was performed. highly recommend.
