Sunglass & Optical Ware House has a pretty legitimate selection of glasses. The staff are always very helpful and knowledgeable. My girlfriend is as blind as a bat and I finally talked her into getting a pair of glasses, she found a pair that she liked and the girl helping her really made her feel good about the transition from hot and blind to pretty with the gift of sight.

I have purchased over 6 prs of Crizal lens glasses for me, my sis and 2 friends. I really like coming to this particular store because the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the frames they carry and crizal lenses with ad on features like transitional and tinted. I went in today to get my brand new prescription and while waiting for new lenses to be installed, I met a really fantastic sales person (JP) there who was above and beyond helpful with my new Ray Ban sunglasses I picked out with his help. JP told me I can have my blue tinted glasses go transitional and be completely blue when in the sun and tinted indoors. Plus he gave me a fantastic discount! If you come to this particular Sunglass Optical, be sure to ask for JP.

Good specs and terrific service. Surprisingly, SOW needs more selection in their Ray Ban Aviator line. The "squarish" Aviators were not available. More Smith ChromaPop shades. But, your Persol line is tip-top. Been buying from you for years and will continue doing so.

I’ve been going here for years because they always have a great selection of sunglasses at a great price. I recently purchased some frames online and brought them to Sunglass & Optical Warehouse for the lenses. I wanted a gradient color that would also work with my progressive Lenses. I picked them up and they were too dark. Didn’t want to have to fight to get what I wanted and I fully expected to. I was pleasantly surprised when they reordered the lenses I wanted very graciously and made sure I was happy. Excellent. Customer service , professional & knowledgable and great selection. Great experience with Optical Warehouse. My dad bought me a set of Electric sunglasses for my birthday from this place and loved them. One day the screw holding in the arm stripped out and the arm kept falling off. When I went in the manager immediately pulled a new set off the display to replace my set no questions asked and had me in and out of the store in 10 minutes!

Went into Sunglass & Optical Warehouse not knowing specifically what all they had to offer in the way of sunglasses but I saw their sign on the 8 so I thought I would come in and check them out. I was blown away by the options to choose from! Brand likes Gucci, Michael Kors, Ray Bans, Oakley, Dolce & Gabanna, and more! I ended up buying a pair of Gucci sunglasses and LOVE them! The staff was super helpful in letting me try multiple pairs on (thanks for your patience!) and showing me particular pairs that would fit my style and facial structure well. Be sure to ask for Oscar or Joanna - they were both very knowledgable about the products and provided excellent service! Thanks, Sunglass & Optical Warehouse! I'll be back!

After seeing their commercial, advertising as a discount sunglass warehouse, I stopped in their smaller, first store, coming in from the west and noticed that nothing was marked with a price, the salesman told me that it was not a discount store and that they had a larger location just down the same road. Well, walking around the larger location, I also noticed nothing was marked as well and the salesgirl was helping four other people, so I left. Besides, if I did wait for a salesperson, I really didn't want to walk around the store asking over and over again, how much is that one, they did have a pretty large selection.

I went with my wife, father in la- and brother in-law. My brother in-law and wife both wanted lenses replace. My wife's arnetts were fixed just fine, but they broke my brother in-laws spy's and then refused to replace them, or compensate him at all, except for a refund. There manager said there should have been a waiver signed, which there was not. He then said I don't owe you anything but a refund. He told us since we did not purchase the sunglass frames from their store, he would not replace them because he did not break them on purpose. Several customers were shocked that the manager would not take responsibility for their actions and left. This is the last time I will visit that store, and I will no longer recommend anyone else to go there. Vary poor customer service, and business practice.

I don't normally bother with reviews, but the service and quality of this purchase were so exceptional, that I am compelled to comment. I was looking for safety glasses with prescription, with progressive feature, and transition lenses. Not only did John do an excellent job measuring the dimensions of my eyes, he was able to get the glasses back in 4 days so I can take them to my job-site in the Philippines. I have been wearing the glasses for 1+ week and they are perfect.

I wanted to like this place. They are local and large. This was my first eyeglass purchase and the experience was bad. I have trouble reading small print, up close, but the sales guy was entirely focused on styles. He was nice, but when I would make a statement, he completely ignored my feedback and kept pitching. I even called him out on not listening, and he kept yammering. It is a warehouse, but all of the glasses have terrible price tags - you need a magnifying glass to see. This results in one having to constantly ask "how much" - which is very annoying. You have 500 things on display... why must I ask how much each piece costs? A nearby store organizes everything under very visible pricing groups. In the end, they sold me glasses that were good for reading up close, but made me dizzy when looking up. They blamed me for this, and charged an extra $70 to correct the lenses, on top of the $299 already spent. i had to come back a week later. Such a racket.

Huge selection at great prices. Very easy to find parking right in front of the store compared to the rest of San Diego. The guy that helped me was very knowledgeable and even let me wear the sunglasses outside to make sure I liked them. Highly recommended!

Great experience. The sales staff was knowledgeable and helpful. I purchased a pair of glasses for my wife. After a month my son dropped them and the lense popped out. Took them back and they had them repaired in under five minutes. Will be buying a pair of glasses for myself shortly. And will be coming back here to find the right pair.

I have been buying all my eyewear from these guys since 1990. The selection is always amazing!!! And most of the people behind the counter are licensed opticians, so they understand how to fit both a sunglass and an perscription pair of glasses to my face. Recently I had an expensive pair of sunglasses that came apart. Since the frames were under warranty they traded me out for another pair - on the spot - no waiting - and for a higher quality brand. I'll never buy eyewear anywhere else!!!

I have bought my eyeglasses and sunglasses for years here.When my boyfriend needed new sunglasses i brought him here.He bought a nice pair of Spy sunglasses for $150 or so.He had them for about 5 months when one of the arms snapped in half when he put them on.He was distraught and angry that tey snapped.I brought the sunglasses in and showed Martha what had happened. She was very apologetic,but was unsure theycould help me.She felt I needed to contact SPY directly.I let her know that this was upsetting as I choose to buy from Brick and Mortar stores, so that I van get service.Well she made it happen. She jumped through hoops with the manager and as able to give me a new pair!Iwill continue to shop with them!Thanks again Martha!

I got my contacts done here and I went back again to get new glasses because contacts started costing more than I could tolerate. The owner of this place is so friendly and the owner couple even gave me free color contacts! My sister who came with me also got some even though she didn't purchase anything. They're so friendly and caring so it feels nice and welcoming going there.
