My three year old son just had surgery on Thursday and it went perfect Dr.Deere was amazing and he answered all of my questions my son enjoyed his time and i was so relieved he was the dr who did his surgery

Staff employee “Lisa” was extremely rude (my son was a new patient) when we had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. Mary the office manager acted promptly and kindly to remedy the situation, but I was astonished that they would employ anybody that talks to their patients the way this woman “Lisa” does. As a practicing ESL teacher (M.Ed) I would never treat one of my students or clients so rudely. I have seen a review by a social worker that this clinic is not recommended for children and will be investigating further, as I was referred here by our pediatrician who we love.

Dr. Deer recently performed cataract surgery on both my eyes and left me with double vision. I had to go to another specialist and have my cornea re-shaped to correct Dr. Deer's bungled surgery. One specialist I saw was shocked at what Dr. Deer had done and said she would never recommend a patient to Dr. Deer again. The corrective surgery, which I had a week ago, left me with much pain and will take months to get over before I can begin to consider getting glasses and see properly again. A week ago I asked Dr. Deer personally to compensate me for the cost of my corrective surgery as insurance will not pay for it, and he said he would look into it and call me the next day. Well, it's been a week now and he's not called back, nor has he responded to my attempt to contact him again. My conclusion: Stay far away from Deer Eye Clinic. They're very friendly, but I believe there are much better eye surgeons to be had.

Dr. Deer is very knowledgeable eye doctor around here in Little Rock . He and his staff are very courteous and kind to make your appointment go by smooth. I have been to different OD and eye clinics and none of them figured out what's wrong(I can't see things in far clearly) with my eyes. Dr. Deer checked two times after I got my glasses came in to make Sure I'm Happy and satisfied. He went beyond gave me expensive eye drops for free to try. I strongly recommend anyone to do business with him if you want to see this beautiful world clearly and sharp and satisfied with your eye check up and it's worth it. I recommend buying glasses here too since I can see sharp and better with the glasses that bought there and they will do free fit and recheck if you can't see clearly or anything wrong with glasses.

Went for my appointment today and “Lisa” is very rude and loud everytime I go. While sitting in the waiting area I can hear her conversation on the phone about what kind of insurance people have and what the insurance won’t and will pay for. If the patient doesn’t get what she is saying or if the patient keep asking questions, once she hang up she will complain to other workers about the call. Everything else at the office is great but I still will be finding another eye doctor.

Called and cancelled my eye exam appointment the day of (due to being called into work). Was told I would be charged a $30 cancellation fee, understandable(some places do that). Was also told someone would call back that afternoon to reschedule. Its been a week and no one contacted me. Called this morning to try to reschedule was told I could either reschedule for two months out with no $30 cancellation fee or if I wanted to come in sooner, I would have to pay the $30. Do not have that kind of time to worry about a simple eye exam. Will be going somewhere else. I do NOT recommend.

I have been seeing Dr. Deer for a few years now and highly recommend him to anyone who asks for a good eye physician. Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful and Dr. Deer is very kind and compassionate. They do their very best to accommodate me and my power chair due to my physical disabilities, making me feel very comfortable not just physically but also emotionally. They also saw my younger son on an emergency basis and given his autism, it could have been a harrowing ordeal but instead they soothed him and took care of the problem quickly. This is the best place to bring everyone in the family, from the smallest of children to the elderly.
