I can say the medical staff is really great, but the first experience you receive when you walk in makes you wonder why you even came there or came back in my case. Which is what I have felt every time I have been there. There is absolutely no friendliness, you just feel like a number all though you don’t get a number. The first time I came it was and still if you don’t know Wharton’s go to register and get started. Especially from the back parking lot. They are almost rude, they ask how you are doing but it is obvious they didn’t care or hear your positive comment. I am talking about the registration and reception staff to make myself clear. It seams as that all they are concerned is making sure they get enough information to track you down and get your money. I paid when I left in November and it was all the same yesterday except insurance covered all of yesterday. I have good insurance and I pay for my part that insurance doesent cover. I see them treating everyone that way. We are you customers and it is our money that pays you please act like you do appreciate that. I sat in the reception area yesterday and I told my wife this is my last time here, I like my Doctor but I have to find me a different vision center. I wouldn’t have been there if it were not for Eye Center South recommending them after surgery. As for Doctor Walker and medical staff they are great. Please appreciate them or no one would come back. Thanks Jim

I have been coming here every year to get glasses. This year was the worst ever. We had a 3 hour wait just to get in to see the doctor and pick out frames with the Tech !!!!!! Then to make matters worse glasses weren’t ready until the next day and then had a 45 minute wait in line behind 15 other people just to pick up glasses. We will be going somewhere else next year !!!!!!!

The front desk is to the point and professional. Excellent! Gone, it seems, are the days when you had to wait for someone to help you because they were all huddled together checking out some employees new finger nail color. Or they acted like you were bothering them. Dr. Jones is patient, very caring, clearly answers questions with seemingly endless knowledge. The staff tasked with writing up your order enjoy an abundance of frames for you to select from. The experienced lab staff are excellent. Your glasses are generally ready in hours. Have a frame fitting issue months down the road?... the lab is ready and willing to tweek your frames and usually at no charge. After over 10 years of getting glasses refracted, made and fitted, I can't imagine going any place else.

Up through the exam everything went well and as expected. After that things went down hill quickly . I asked one question about frames and was told I have to wait for someone else who could answer the question. 40 minutes later I'm still waiting, I tell them I'm not going to be able to wait and ended up waiting another 40 minutes to pay for the exam. Looks like after 25 years I'll be finding someplace new Edit: upon returning several days later to order glasses I found out that they had a sum total of two choices for safety glasses. It is a shame that while one part of the building is ran quit well, the other part is done so poorly that I need to be finding a new place for eye care.

The exam was fine. Everyone was nice. The only mistep, was they texted me to tell me if I couldn't make my 830 appointment to let them know 48 hours in advance. They would fill it . I confirmed my appointment with them twice. I got there ten minutes early. They called me back at 9:05. The man standing in the check in line had the same appointment time and Dr. that I had. Needless to say they fill your slot even if you do confirm your appointment. To all Dr. offices: We are paying you for your services. Be courteous and see us on time. Do not double book. It is inconsiderate and greedy.

I had to wait in line for about 10 minutes to even register. Only one person was registering patients at that time. Then I had to wait for the technician to talk a picture of my eyes. The room was full. I can’t fault Dr. Walker. She is tremendous, but overall management of the office is poor.

Overall my visit was good. My eye doctor Dr Maxwell is great. He is kind and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend him. However, The check out process took to long. There were 2 check out lines. I waited in my line 15+ minutes today. They didn’t ask who was next and I had to continue to stand behind the same customer the whole time while others were checked out over and over at the next clerk beside me. I would have just appreciated the clerks recognizing I had been waiting and letting me check out instead of taking new customers.

Dr we saw was amazing. Nice and friendly from start to finish. The rest of the staff was unsmiling, didn’t speak anymore than to tell us where to go and say we were finished, no customer service at all. Almost seemed like they were bothered by us being there. Our appointment was at 4:30 and we were finished and out the door by 5:00 so it isn’t like we were keeping anyone late. I was very disappointed in that.

Called this morning and was able to get an appt for today. Check in was smooth and staff was very friendly. After finishing the paperwork it to 15 min to get to see the Dr. Dr Denny was very nice and thruogh with the eye exam. Eplained my diagnosis to where I could understand. He was very informative. I checked in at 130 pm and had my glasses by 430 pm the same day. .also there was a wide variety of frames to choose from. I would recommend this vision clinic to everyone.

I arrived and had given my ID and insurance for check in. I waited maybe 10 minutes and Connie called me back for the preliminary testing. She explained everything that she was doing and asked questions to look for any issues I was having. She had me wait in another waiting area for them to finish processing my file and for an available room. Waited just a few minutes and she brought my ID back and start my eye exam. Then Dr Jones came in to complete the exam. He also asked questions and went over everything very thoroughly. Both were super nice and very professional! Great experience. This was the second time I saw Dr Jones and I would highly recommend. Connie just made the experience even better. Great team!!

Physicians were Great! Dr. Smith made sure we understood everything about the exam. When we went to get frames and glasses ,however, it felt rushed and options weren't clearly explained. I had a prescription, and my grandson had a first time prescription, and the lady blew thru his without my approval. Not good! I would rate the glasses lady a 1 star. This got the rating only because of Dr. Smith.

Due to a change in insurance we needed to switch to a provider in-network. Dr. Denney did not thoroughly check my son’s eyes. When I noticed that his prescription was completely different than the previous year, I called and had to leave a message with a promise of a return call within 24 hours. I gave them 48 hours and still did not receive a phone call. I had to drive 35 minutes up there to get someone to talk to me. It was a horrible experience! I could not imagine what might have happened had I not noticed they did not even run tests for prism in my son’s glasses. It would have led to many complications in my son’s vision, including migraines. Dr. Megan Walker examined my son and tested for the prism when I took him back to ask for a refund. Dr. Walker would be the only Dr that I trust moving forward.

Some of the employees, one most definitely don't take out time with the customers. After exam all the service rep did was look at my insurance card and told me that the exam would be covered but not glasses. I kept trying to tell her that was wrong. She made a call and said yeah just medical only. I didn't argue back. After choosing some glasses I decided to call my company and was told that glasses WERE INCLUDED to a certain amount. They would refund me the amount that I paid. So when I went back I had to let her know that she was wrong and I had notified my insurance company myself . I was charged the full amount for the visit and none of it was applied to my insurance at all. Do to her neglance and listening to someone else instead of contacting the company. I wasn't able to get the glasses I actually wanted.

Dr. Maxwell was very nice & professional, but the rest of the Denneyvision experience was severely lacking. The young lady that helped with my frame order was supposed to confirm my insurance coverage, and call me to let me know copay. I didn't hear anything for 2 weeks, so I called the office and was told that they'd call me when my glasses were in. The girl I spoke to was very rude, and acted like I was doing something wrong by checking on my order. Another week went by, and still nothing. I went in to their office (45 minutes from home), and was told they couldn't find any of my paperwork. Apparently the girl that waited on me had been having personal trouble, & it was affecting her work performance. It was like I had never been there. I left, never to return. And no, I have still not heard anything from them.
