Bailey Cove Eye Care is a highly professional, caring place that I'd recommend to anyone. They are friendly, quick, and give great service. Dr James Ferrell spends a lot of time with you to make sure that you understand what's going on. They seem to really care about the patients.

Never Told about extra charge for Retina scan.I was measured and fitted by some one not experienced. I was never offered to have my lens's polished and ground. I remembered the next morning and called back to find out they tried to contact me about an additional charge not on the original invoice. When i picked up my glasses the lens were tinted which i declined when asked. They are useless when your driving. I called the insurance company to investigate. I did get a refund of $35.00. When I picked the glasses up, I was fitted by the same employee who walked me to a corner and checked my fit while standing. I'm 6'3". I did some adjusting on my own. I checked on sunglasses which i was told wouldn't be covered by insurance. I was quoted over $600 for sun glasses. I went somewhere else. I was told insurance will cover up to 20 percent on any number of pairs of glasses i wanted. My cost was half their quoted price. I understand about someone in training. I question their timing of her in front of customers.

i got there before my apt time and they had me in and out by my appointment time. clean facility, friendly staff. they also sell some nice sunglasses. if I ever have eye problems again, I will definitely go there again.

Nice enough folks but I couldn't get them to listen to my needs. I went back twice to get the Rx right and it still isnt right. I'll actually have to pay out of pocket to go to another Dr.

Dr. Chenault very efficient and knowledgeable. Did a "drop-in" this morning for cleaning and adjustment/tightening of my glasses. I was in and out in like 4 minutes and my 6 month old glasses are like new again!

Absolutely wonderful! Today was my first visit with Bailey Cove Eye Care. I was extremely nervous and a little concerned. I have never had vision problems and now that I do, I want to make sure I am taking the correct actions and trusting the right people. Immediately I noticed how friendly the staff are. They don't rush you at all. They are so polite and I did not have to wait long. Since I am a new patient, they had a lot of tests to perform. The staff explained each test accurately so I knew what to expect. I saw Dr. Chenault. She was awesome! She explained everything she was telling me and allowed me to ask questions. They are very thorough and make sure you get the right prescription for your eyes. When it came to picking out my frames, I have no clue what I was doing. The staff helped me pick a frame that I would not have picked for myself, but I love it. I highly recommend Dr. Chenault and her staff. I can't wait for my glasses to come in!

Bailey Cove Eye Care is a 5 star business for sure. My wife, children and I have been going to Dr Ferrell for many years for all of our eye care needs. He is very competent, thorough and personable. Dr Mary Beth Chenault also practices there. I have seen her also and wouldn't hesitate to use her again should Dr Ferrell be unavailable for some reason. They are both great eye doctors and together are a team you can trust completely. As a matter of fact, the entire staff has treated us like family. They have always communicated very well and have even handled all of our insurance matters without a hiccup. There is a down-home feel to the place and it is a one-stop shop for everything from the exam to providing the contacts and/or glasses. Once I sat on my new glasses and destroyed them and they just gave me another pair. Thanks, Bailey Cove Eye Care!

Wish I could leave less than one star. My husband went in for an appointment as a new patient (I have been a patient for years). He turned in his insurance info at the beginning and no one said “you are not covered under either of these plans.” Once he finished his appointment, they charged him $171 and filed the claim under an insurance coverage called “Visio” (I am not aware of having any such insurance). I called after he left to ask where they Visio insurance info came from and was very polite in my inquiry. An intern answered the phone and thought she put it on mute, but did not. When she passed my question along, the staff response was “ugh, we are so understaffed today, I don’t have time to deal with that”. I promptly hung up the phone and will never go back to this place of business. My question was not ridiculous, rude, and I believe paying $171 is worth the time it takes to ask a question or two. So rude.

I have had the best experience with Bailey Cove Eye Care! I took my 5 year old daughter there in July for her first full eye exam with Dr. Chenault after a flagged vision screening at her school. Everyone has been great there but I specifically want to mention Dr. Chenault and her patience and thoroughness with my daughter and also Faith who has been extremely kind, helpful, and patient. Faith ordered several different frames for my daughter when we found that all of the in-stock frames were too big for her small face. She also contacted the lens lab when we had a prescription change just a few months after the original and was able to get the new lenses at no charge to us. We have been very pleased with our experience at Bailey Cove Eye Care!

My first visit at this office was great. The second time around, not so much! At my first visit I was told retina scans only needed to be done every 5 years. When I went in for my second visit I was told they needed to be taken again “so something could be looked at.” Red flag #1 because nothing was mentioned about the “something” during the first visit. During my contact fitting I mentioned and even showed my insurance and what it stated, questioning what I paid the previous year because it said my contacts would be covered IN FULL if they were Davis vision contacts, THREE people discussed it and determined that the contacts I was getting were in fact Davis vision contacts but I was only allotted a $150 credit? Red flag #2! I should have demanded them to re-read my insurance because I knew something wasn’t right but I thought “I’m at the eye doctor, if anyone knows about eye insurance it should be them, right?” On my way home I called my insurance and explained everything, they said that my contacts should have been ordered through them and would have been covered 100% and that I also shouldn’t have paid the charge to have my “chart updated.” They even called Bailey Cove and explained everything for me. Insurance said I’d be getting a call about my refund for the chart update fee the following day, which I did, but I missed the call. When I called back the person who called was busy with a patient but I was told I could give my CC number to them and they would give it directly to her to refund my money. Red flag #3!!! A few days later I had multiple charges on my credit card, one being Netflix! I called to ask who had access to my credit card number and expressed my concern, considering that I hadn’t used the card in 3+ months prior to the eye doctor, I was left to feel like it was my fault that my number had been stolen and that it wasn’t anyone at their office because the shredded it. I left it at that and just said I was done with that office. Or so I thought, I received a text the other day stating my contacts needed to be picked up. I called to say that I had already received the contacts I ordered and wondered what was going on, they said my account had a $150 balance and I had contacts up front (which were NOT ordered by me). It was at the end of the day and I was told I would be called back with more information so I figured it would be the next day before I heard back. 2 days later and still nothing. This office is completely clueless!!

Wonderful doctor and staff! This was my first experience, and they are great! They are so patient, and brought me back several times to ensure I got the best fit for my eyes. I will be bringing my daughter in for her first exam in the near future. So glad I made the switch to Bailey Cove Eye Care!

Outstanding, the VA sent me here for glasses and I promise you everyone was super courteous and pleasant. After wearing glasses for 45 years this is by far one the best experiences by far. No crazy add ons just straightforward what you need.

Great staff of friendly, helpful people. Dr. Ferrel really cares about his patients' overall experience. I had a problem with the quality of frames I got and he and his team made it right!! This is a very customer oriented company and I'm sure anyone would be as delighted a me to visit!! Highly recommend!!

I needed a great set of glasses and Kathy in the optical really did a wonderful job finding just the right frame, lens, and coatings so that I can see well with little glare. It was a little more expensive than a commercial place but the quality and personal attention was so much better. I would recommend this place to anyone.
