Gf had eye surgery and Had to wait almost 1 hour just for a work excuse which they messed up with the date we called the day before and they said they would have it ready to go the next day needless to say we get there nothing was ready and we waited for about 30 min. Then we get it and it's the wrong dates they are not friendly they make bs excuses then we waited another 30 min and I along with the gf were late for work and they didn't care how long it takes af far as the girlfriend's experience there was also terrible they were not kind didn't explain the procedure until I showed up and had to ask before they started it they don't give you much info and I would never go there ever. Go somewhere else

Dr. Beeksma is 5 Stars, but she is not the only person here. I agree with the summary of reviews (had the experience of paying out of pocket vs being submitted through insurance) - straightened that out, but that takes time out of the day (unnecessary time). Not a very friendly and helpful vibe from the front desk people. You would think they would be the nicest people in the entire building since they are the first impression you get when you call or visit, but it's quite the opposite - it gets better once you get beyond the front desk. Some key things they could get better at, but giving 3 stars vs 1 because of Dr. Beeksma and the staff beyond the front desk.

Dr. Lee Hofer (spelling) was amazing! He was friendly and was great at interacting with my 7 year old daughter getting her eyes checked for the first time. He was knowledgeable and explained things to me well. I let him know I'll be switching my business from shopko optical to them asap. Also, the guy that took the pictures and did the first exams before the doctor came in (forget his name, I think Aaron?) was too! He was very nice and did a throughal job of making sure we found out exactly what was wrong with my daughter's eyes. Plus, the office building is clean and has a nice big waiting room. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

The doctors, assistants and front desk staff at CVEC are first rate. Honestly, I have never once had any bad experiences with the front desk staff and I have been going to the clinic 2-3 times a year since 2005. But it is the doctors and their assistants that brings me back. All of them are exceptional practitioners and wonderful people.

I have used the services of a few of the doctors at the clinic. Most recently I have used the services of Dr. Buntrock & his team. They are a top notch professional team. Dr. Buntrock's treatment of my ongoing retinal problems has made me very secure in his treatment plan. He explains my current status and options. He has researched what are the best options available. His team does a great job with all the tests that are done. His assistant Heidi answers all calls and processes requests extremely promptly. She answers questions very thoroughly, just as Dr. Buntrock does. I am very secure in their treatment.

Jodee at the front desk was so helpful and able to get me in shortly. The nurse before I saw the doctor was kind and calm, and I wish I could remember his name. Dr. Hofer is incredible. Just a Number... I arrived early, only to find out they allowed other people that had appointments scheduled after mine to go in front of me (found this out when I asked about my wait). After 1/2 hour they saw me but ran me through so fast it was apparent I am just a number to this practice. The Dr barely looked at me, he didn't speak directly to me hardly at all and it took repeated asks of the same questions to get answers. When I asked about getting glasses he told me the ones I had on were good enough and I was shuffled out the door w/o a perscription for either one. Now the only pair of contacts I have are the ones he gave me to test, which I find out are only sold by optomitrists (SiH 48). I have called 2 days in a row to get through to someone that can help me get an order for contacts but only get VM. I was recomended to this place by two people, but I'll never go back, even if I do need Lasik some day.

Chippawa Valley Eye Clinic is a great place for eye care. Staff are accommodating and well trained. Doctor appointments are punctual. Doctors are highly educated and skilled for routine procedures and delicate surgery. Patients are treated like family. The office atmosphere is warm and comfortable and has all of the amenities - a variety of magazines, WiFi, TVs, and a peaceful acquarium.

School starts in less than 2 weeks, we ordered our 2 children's glasses at the same time, our son's took about a week, and so when another week had gone by with no call about our daughter's glasses, I called to be sure nothing had happened, and they assured me the order had been placed, and they would call when they came in, so now my husband called, and sure enough they not only lied, saying the order was placed, but lost the order for my daughter completely. I would go any place else, I'm sure they won't be offering a discount fo their ignorant lack of service

The staff members who first welcome you are not only friendly, but knowledgeable about the procedures they perform. They explain what they are doing, and answer any questions that often crop up. If they don't know the answer, they defer to the Doctor. I have great confidence in the ability and credentials of the Doctors, and in particular, Dr. Hofer, who displays a warm and caring demeanor as well as exhibiting exacting knowledge of his field. He takes the time to explain the problem and the procedure to remedy it. He also has a great sense of humor!
