The eye care for my mom has been pretty good over the years, however the in office wait time is beyond acceptable . No matter what time of day your appointment is scheduled there is always at least a 30 minute wait, then once your in the exam room you continue to wait. They do not put the patient first by over scheduling. We will look for a new doctor.

From the moment I walked in for my consultation (free!), I felt comforted by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. This practice and this doctor gained my complete trust because it was clear they had my best interests in place the whole time. I was AMAZED at how quickly my vision cleared after the treatment and it seems sharper than I'd seen with contacts before surgery. Highly recommend

Great clinic if you have 4 hours to spend at every appointment. They must overbook so consistently that they expect patients to spend 4+ hours at each appointment. Dr. Met is great, but, really, 4 hours for a routine exam with the other docs? Rude and inconsiderate of patients' time."

i recently had lasik done with Dr Shapiro. All the staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to answer my questions. I was incredibly nervous but they talked me through every step and made me feel at ease. After taking a nap at home, i woke up and could see!! Can’t complain about that. I’m experiencing minimal discomfort afterwards, nothing that some eye drops can’t help and nothing out of the ordinary. My husband had lasik a few years ago from a different provider and my experience thus far is definitely more positive than his.

Dr Shapiro and his office staff as well as his surgical staff are totally awesome! My mom had cataract surgery in June 2016. Was a difficult surgery and had some health issues. Surgery was a 2 day procedure and mom ended up in hospital so it was not finished. They followed through with my mom for months till completion. Mom was diagnosed with Afib so issue was not eye related but came about during her surgery. 2 month later her lens was replaced with success. Thank you all to a fantastic team of people!

OVERPRICED - make sure to investigate costs. Though the staff was very friendly, especially the woman who took my billing question call. My insurance was charged $1,544 for the insertion of punctal plugs, a procedure that took 10 minutes (A quick Google search will find the average cost is usually $250-$650). When in the exam room, the doctor asked if I wanted to do the procedure. I asked how long it would take and the doctor responded, not verbatim, "Just a few minutes, I can pop them in right now". Which would lead the average optical novice to assume it was not an expensive procedure. Yes, I should have asked the price. However, the doctor exhibited carelessness for my personal repercussions at best and intentional omission at worst.

Dr. Shapiro has been taking care of my vision for many years and when I asked him about the excessive hooding of my eyelids he advised that I correct it when ready. In May Dr. Shapiro corrected the sagging of my eyelids and it looks absolutely great! My vision is less hindered, headaches and eye strain are gone! I couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend anyone to him that is looking for eyelid correction!

A good friend of mine had Dr. Anderson-Weiss do his cataract surgery and he was super happy with the results. Then I had a appointment with my internal Med Dr. Told him I needed cataract surgery, he said "I would have Anderson-Shapiro do it because it's what they do, no one is in training". The entire team and the whole experience was great. After I had my first eye done, the next day I had to go in to be checked. My wife drove and I just sat back and reveled in reading street signs and plate numbers on the cars in front of us. Life changing, I will be forever grateful to Dr. Nicole Anderson_Weiss

I got as far as calling to inquire about setting up a consultation for laser eye surgery. After she rudely responded with, "You mean, LASIK?" I was already given a bad impression of this business. Needless to say, the conversation ended a few minutes later, and she was just as short and unfriendly for the duration of the call. A business is only as strong as its weakest employee. The first person you see when you enter a business, the first person to answer the phone of a business -- they can make a big enough impact to turn someone away -- and they did.
