He was one of referred doctor by my child's pediatric office and he was the closest one available so I went to see him. Staff was ok but as a first time parents and having a child who might need glasses at age of 3 I was nervous, anxious, and full of questions. He did not address or resolved my questions beside the fact that my daughter needed corrective glasses and basically IMO wasn't a pleasant person. I have visited other Pediatric ophthalmologist office after visiting here as for second opinion and realized that other doctors were more patient and gentle with my 3 years old and answered all my concerns even before I asked them. If you need a pediatric ophthalmologist I would recommend you to look somewhere else unless it's just annual checkup.

Please avoid this doctor. Very very very rude. And he did not help my wife after 2 visits, so not even competent. We went to another doctor in Sterling after my wife’s got really red. It turns out we should not put a wet hot towel on her eyes like Chong suggested which made the inflammation worse. After I came out of his office, I felt like I came out of an argument. His rude attitude works you up. He needs to learn empathy as he is a doctor. Also, he kept pushing his glaucoma testing to us and went ahead did some of the testing prior to next visit which made me suspicious that he just wanted to sell us that service and bill us for it. However, his staff is nice from the receptionist to the billing person. Just avoid this guy. I’ll also tell MyEyeDr optometrist to stop recommending this guy.

Had floaters in my eyes. Brought me in ASAP and helped me immensely. I will return here if I have anymore issues.

Doctor and staff are extremely rude. Doctor ignores kids and parebts, and worst.

Rabia Raja

A very rude doctor.

Charity Ponton

Staff was great and friendly but I do not recommend taking a child here, especially one with special needs. The doctor is rude, short and easily frustrated with children. The only reason I give 2 stars is for the staff

I don't know about the adults but I do not recommend children in this doctor's office . The doctor is extremely rude. I took my daughter and she got scared about the entire process . Instead of making her feel better the doctor was very rude to her. We couldn't do the eye check up .

Took my kid to get an exam for annual checkup. This was my first time taking my child to here. I don't think Dr. Chong is friendly to kids. Little kids cannot understand and respond things fast like adult. Even adult responds to things little slow sometimes. Dr asked my child to look up and down but my child was little slow here and there. He shouted out loud to her several times when she wasn't responding to him right away. It was shocking to me that he screams at my child. I thought she was pretty good for her age and Dr was too fast. Maybe my child had to think before she moves her eyes or maybe she just didn't understand. She is only 3 years old. You can't expect too much from 3 year old. At that age, they don't understand everything. He was rushing the exam too. There was no patient waiting. I believe we were the last ones. He shouldn't be Pediatric doctor if he doesn't know how to treat children. Very very rude. Never return to this place.

Alem McClellan

I don’t recommend this office to anyone, the doctor is rude.

Fully agree with the other reviews about this being a horrible place for children. I had an identical experience as another reviewer. Came for an appointment for my 3 y.o. Woefully inadequate care, rude, doesn’t explain anything, rushed us out, I had to convince him to try harder to observe what I had explained the symptoms. I got a second opinion at NOVA Opthalmology and had a much better experience and will be sticking with them.

DO NOT! Worst place to take children! Dr. Chong is extremely rude, has no patience, and doesn’t know how to talk to people. I could write much more but I will leave this short.
