My experience was as stated by another client lack of info and unprofessional attitudes made me very nervous signing an electronic key pad ? No copies for client lack of information on prepping for the exam waist of my time and money ....in the end they refunded my money that was best for both parties.!

I had eye Cataract Surgery in one eye over one year ago. I experienced no pain at all. I had no medical problems. I was very surprised at the results. I had glasses over 25 years and now I wear no glasses. I very highly recommend Dr. Zane P. Lazer and his staff. The office staff and doctors are very pleasant and prompt to deal with. Dr. Strickler is my doctor he is very fast talking and will get out of the room quickly so make sure you write down any questions ahead of time, also ask for today's medical records so that if you have any additional questions you will have it in front of you. A new female doctor here is Dr Erwin I have seen her twice and feel very confident in her care, she takes time to explain things and gives you very good care!! She used a new option I was totally unaware of, using a contact on a dry eye corneal tear as a bandaid. My eye immediately feels 100% better, I can still use antibiotics drops.

Dr. Lazer did cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I am SO pleased! I had the Crystalens implants and my vision is now 20/20 in the left eye and getting there in my right eye which was done less than one month ago. Such an easy and good experience. My vision is so clear, light is now bright again, and colors are vivid again. The office and surgical center runs so smoothly and the staff is competent and friendly. I've had surgery performed by Dr. Lazer 3 times so far each time excellently and with special care by him and his staff, and they have me come in for follow ups to the surgeries, then after them, I still go to him annually since I still have a cataract that is slowly progressing to the point where I'm eventually going to need him to perform another cataract surgery on that one as well. Also, I see Dr. Gersman for treatment on another condition I have at the Eye Mds in the Marietta Office; I get excellent care there as well. I would never go anywhere else but the Eye Mds, I highly recommend this place for if you need to see any eye specialists; they are the best you can ever go to if you want the best care you can expect to get along with with friendliest staff as well. Thank you Dr. Lazer and Dr. Gersman!

Let me first say that being able to see is a blessing and not to be taken for granted. I am grateful that the technology is available to help with cataracts and other surgeries to be able to see. My experience with The Eye MDs is not what I would have expected. Some of the staff is less than friendly and things in my opinion are not fully discussed with you as they should be. You sign a paper electronically giving the dr permission so treat you and do surgery. That is fine but you should have a copy for your records what you have signed and let people read what they are signing ahead of time. I notice that most of the people are older having surgery and it is important that they understand what is being done. I was not told that there is a prescription in the implants that were being placed in my eyes guessing they assume you know that. It is difficult for me to think you can get an accurate reading on what your vision is through cataracts.To be told up front about correcting stignatism that the procedure may not work so that the person can decide if they want to pay out of pocket because of insurance not paying for it. Only to be told that we don't promise anything from the doctor after the procedure. I understand they can not promise you anything because each person is different but there are no do overs once the surgery is completed that it is and so it should treated as such. Having trouble with blood sugar and being told to take a little sip of orange juice if needed while waiting to go into surgery is such a NO, NO that is why you are told NPO. This coming from surgery scheduler not a nurse. Also when in surgery the patient should be asked if they feel pain during surgery because sometimes the medication keeps patients from being able to communicate it. Not all the dr's there practice same and that is their choice but it would be better for all patients if they are on the same page treating patients so they can feel comfortable in case of a problem after hours. This was my experience and sharing it to hopefully help others when having surgery.

I had cataract surgery in October 2015. I only have vision in one eye and of course the cataract was in the eye I see through. I was worried a lot about the "what if's" and if I would be unable to see. Dr. Strickler and his staff were great to me and very nice throughout the whole process. He even called me the evening after my surgery to check on me at 7:30 in the evening! He understood the risk I took and wanted to make sure all was well with me. I would recommend him to anyone. I can see better now than I have most of my life! I am 52 and still have a few more years left hopefully anyway that is, and now I can see much better.
