The wait times can be a little long, but that speaks to his popularity. Dr. Tarakji is a fantastic doc, and is very good and caring with kids. He has very specific requirements for conduct, but you can tell he really cares and takes their sight seriously. Despite the wait times, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Tarakji is an unspeakably bad doctor. He has far too many patients to see any of them for long enough to make a proper diagnosis. He is recommended as a "pediatric" opthamologist, but is not in any way board certified as pediatric. If you live in the area and need to have your child looked at - RUN do not walk away from this doctor. Go to the WVU Eye Institute in Morgantown. Go anywhere but here. He looked at our son and said that he was blind. Then, later, prescribed glasses for him which were the wrong prescription. We know this from subsequent visits to ACTUAL pediatric opthamologists - which Dr. Tarakji is not. My son, by the way, has 20/80 vision, and is not blind. So, yes, I am still pretty irritated at this very, very bad doc.

He is a wonderful Doctor but if you don't like to wait find another doctor. They book several into one time slot I think. He does not have the best "bedside" manner but he is polite and very knowledgable. I would give him a 5 star if it were not for the wait!

Dr. Taratji is the best eye doctor I have ever been to. I took my son with special needs and he was great with him. Of course he she be great with over 35 years experience.

He is an amazing doctor and prevented my daughter from going blind. She loves seeing him and he never is rude with us or mean towards her. He has helped my family for years and is a great doctor with an amazing bed side manner.

I have been a patient there for more than 2o years and my parents go there as well. He is an excellent Doctor. He has performed surgery on my Dad's eyes and will soon be working on my Mom's. As other reviews have stated, your visit may take a while as he handles emergencies as well as regular visits. He is worth the wait. I highly recommend Dr. Tarakji.

He has taken excellant care of my family for many years. He performed surgery on one of my childrens eye and did excellant work. He explained in detail the work that he had performed and called us over the weekend to check on our child. He has performed examinations on my eyes for decades and fits me with my contacts and glasses. I refer him to my friends and family. I thank him for caring eveytime that i see him.

Dr. Tarakji is a wonderful doctor. I took my son to so many doctors who couldn’t find what was causing his eye problems and Dr. Tarakji found the problem on the first visit. The wait is a little long but it is worth it.
