Was not personable, awkward appointment that ended with me having to leave 65 min into the appointment with dilated eyes-something he didn't even check with me about (ie do I have a ride, this may blur your vision more, is that okay, etc?). I came in for painful, blurry vision, red eyes and he proceeded to ask unusual questions about my diagnosis, made by a board certified Rhumatologist. He said he be back in a few minutes and left the door open. After 10 min, and many providers walking by confused why the door was open, I told another staff I had to leave in 20 min to get my child from school. 20min later, nothing. I go to the front desk to say I have to leave and she states concerns with how to bill the appointment if I leave. Nobody was concerned or even told me how bad my eyes would be with dialating! And I had to drive to get my kids and it was dark out! I left worse than when I came in! Awful, scary experience...wish I had read other reviews (Other sites) as he clearly has a history of this pattern of behavior. I actually spoke with 2 other friends who had similar experiences with this doc-awkward, very rude, uncomfortable appointment, etc.

I have used Dr. Mulligan since we moved to Seattle 6 years ago. He has removed cataracts from both of my eyes and treats my glaucoma. When going on Medicare this past year, the first thing I did prior to signing up, was to call the office and make sure that I could continue to have Dr. Mulligan care for my eyes because I have such trust in him. I have never had anything but great experiences with any of the staff members at Clearview!

Dr. Mulligan doesn't care if you have questions, so don't plan on him answering them. This may be the first time a doctor didn't ask whether I had questions following the exam, he just headed for the door. Mind you, I saw him for less than ten minutes total at that point. I signed up for a contact lens exam, but he just told me that wasn't an option. (OK, fine ... but why?). Similarly with Lasik. I am ok with taking no for an answer, but I'd like to hear some reason for it. When I asked him (as he leaned on the doorknob) if I could ask one more question, he just looked back at me blankly. Definitely one of the worst bedside manners I've ever encountered, and my standards aren't that high.
