I was very disturbed to have my medical insurance billed rather than my vision insurance. I had no extra exam by Dr. Hoyt than my prior ophthalmologist. Of course my medical insurance refused to pay. When I asked that my vision insurance be billed, this provider refused. I am now stuck with the bill. I will be seeking care else where.

Don't know why she comes up in a search for hand surgeons - she's an ophthalmologist! And a good one. I've seen her for several years now and am quite satisfied with her care.. RHR

Took my mother to an Edmonds eye doctor for over 12 years. He kept doing laser surgery on her saying she has aging eyes. I took her to Dr Hoyt at Eye Associates NW. And she told me after spending 4 hours with us doing testing that Mom had glaucoma stage 4 and she had macular degeneration in both of her eyes! We were overwhelmed with thanks, our Mom finally could read, watch TV, it was a miracle. We wanted to pursue legal action against the Edmonds doctor but our lawyer told us we still had our Mom and she did not die, just suffered a lot. Dr Hoyt took good care of Mom. Now we all go to her!
