I first saw Dr. Essepian in September of 2014, after being diagnosed with Fuch Dystrophy. This dystrophy was in its advanced stage, and my eyesight had begun to rapidly deteriorate. Dr. Essepian performed a partial cornea transplant, with cataract surgery, on the left eye in November of 2014. After the expected recovery time, my left eye vision was 20/25, unaided. In March of 2015 he performed the same surgery on the right eye and again, within a few weeks, my right eye vision was restored to 20/40, unaided. Now, with glasses of minimal prescription, I engage in all sports and hobbies requiring keen eyesight It is, literally, like having acquired a new set of eyes. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Essepian for his gift of sight. Thank you, Sir!

Dr. Essepian is in my opinion THE BEST! I've had 2 surgeries and I feel like a new person. My eyesight is better now then when I was in my 20's. The surgeries we're quick and painless, and I'm a crybaby. His staff are knowledgeable and super efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Essepian. I almost wish I had a third eye that he could fix. Life is good!

Had my first appointment with Dr. Essepian on 4/3/19 in his Alexandria location and was extremely impressed. I suffer from severe dry eye, blepharspasms and blurry vision in my right eye to the extent that I am unable to drive due to constant blinking and light sensitivity. He is the FIRST ophthalmologist/specialist who made me feel confident that I will soon win the battle I’ve been enduring for almost three years. He gave me information that no other eye doctor ever has and gave me hope he could assist in tackling my underlying conditions. He sat there and truly assessed what my concerns and issues were and listened as I told my story. He had excellent bedside manner and didn’t just push drops on me and tell me this should help. He sent me for a blood work up and gave me a set of tear duct plugs that so far have helped maintain my natural tears but also the artificial ones as well. Will update as I go along, but as of today I am hopeful he can provide me with answers and help me regain my quality of life back.

I'm so glad that I was referred to Dr. Essepian by my friend. I've been seen by other eye specialists, but they would drag me in circles and I would not see any changes in my eye condition. I was very frustrated emotionally, and it took a financial toll. With only one appointment, Dr. Essepian knew exactly what can be done about my eye. He's an amazing surgeon with great knowledge. There are so many eye specialists, but very few that see and understand what needs to be done. I'm endlessly very grateful to Dr. Essepian and his staff.
