Kept me waiting for 15m before taking back, and then after initial exam another 30m in the room for the doctor. Grumpy nurse said it was common for them to get busy and have wait times of this nature. So I just left and got my money back. (Unrelated to this issue, I happened to have an air quality tester with me and the air quality in the clinic was poor, this was during a common winter inversion). On a previous visit I did have a good experience with Dr Wilkenson.

I been going here for years for my eye condition. The staff are always super nice and helpful. I feel like they actually care for my needs, and I'm not just a number. I would highly recommend them.

My son and I had a great experience. They were very attentive. Explained things well and the staff is pleasant. The office is clean.

Dr. Petersen is great, but unfortunately, the office's billing practices are atrocious. Took my son in because his sister's eye cross and several doctors urged me to bring him in as well because it runs in families. Took him in for the first visit and paid the copay. Then, I received a bill saying that the procedures were not covered. After calling back and forth (and wasting lots of precious time) between the insurance company and the provider's office, I discovered that the visit should have been covered because it turned out he was farsighted and therefore had a medical condition and therefore it was not a routine visit. Now, mind you, even though it was covered it still made me pretty upset to know that if he hadn't been farsighted it would not have been covered, even though it was the exact same visit and even though there was no way for me to know beforehand what the outcome would be. Fast forward to our next visit. I was told to take him in again to have his eyes checked, since they change so much at that age. Once again, after the visit I receive a hefty bill! This time, after wasting more time (a week before moving out of the country, mind you!) and going back and forth with the provider and the insurance co, I still end up saddled with a bill, because this time his eyes had happened to improve! So, basically, if his eyes were worse (something there was no way for me to know beforehand) it would have been covered, but since they weren't I get a big bill. I blame both the provider and the insurance co equally on this one because the provider should be on top of informing the patient when they are about to do a procedure that I may be billed for (they're the only ones who know what procedures they're doing) and because they do have some flexibility in what codes they use to send to the insurance company and with a little care this could have been avoided. I'm moving out of the country anyway, but even if I weren't I would never go back to this office. I never had this problem with our old provider. Medical provider HAVE to start caring about the cost of procedures and quit acting like price is not an issue for their patients! We are dependent on YOU to not be doing procedures willy nilly regardless of the cost to the patient!!!

My whole family sees Dr. Jeppsen. Great experience, we have been going there for years. There was a comment that talked about a glasses issue. They don't sell glass or contacts. That is a different Rocky Mtn.

I took my 21 month old son to see Dr. Petersen and he was absolutely fantastic. I was really hesitant to take him to this appointment due to my son being so young, but Patti, Ryan and Dr. Petersen all eased my nerves. All 3 of them were so amazing with him and gained his trust quickly. I am happy that we were referred to Dr. Petersen. The front office ladies were also very kind and informative. I have read reviews about their billing practices. I work in a physician's office myself and I can confidently say that these issues were likely due to a fluke insurance issue or the patient not knowing their own insurance plan. The front office girls at Dr. Petersen's office were extremely helpful and knowledgeable regarding my insurance. I also know that when I go to an office that I have to pay my co-pay AND that I am responsible for the full amount if my insurance decides not to pay.

Dr Jeppsen and staff were wonderful. They took great care of my eyes and I feel safe going there knowing they know their stuff.

Dr Peterson is very talented. Thanks for the eye surgery. Changed my life!

I had a great LASIK consult with Dr. Charlton. My insurance wasn't billed since I came in for a free consult, but I'd like to point out to the other people who left reviews: most of your issues are with your insurance and not the practice. If you don't have routine coverage, how could you blame the provider? You should check with your insurance on your coverage and not blame the provider for something they wouldn't know. I mean, if you didn't know what would be covered, how would they? Its YOUR insurance. Also, ophthalmologists hardly ever take vision insurance because they are MDs. In other words they only take medical insurance. You typically have to go to a optometrist for that (ie ODs). Just saying...

I love this place! The staff is awesome, and the doctors really care about you. I had an ulcer in my eye, which is REALLY painful, and they fit me in even though they were already booked for the day. They also took great care with my girls and their eye care.

I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Eye Care. Dr. Petersen and his staff are very kind, professional, excellent with children, and take time to listen to our concerns or questions and give wonderful advice and recommendations. My kids also enjoy the fun waiting area and token after the visit for a prize!

Dr Petersen and Dr Howells are great doctors. We had a hard time finding a prescription for my daughter’s glasses with the first dr we visited but Dr Petersen quickly found exactly what she needed. My daughter has had her glasses for 2 years now and is doing great. The staff and doctors are great with kids. They know how to make my daughter feel comfortable and take the time to answer any questions I have in a professional and kind manner. So happy to have found great eye doctors.

Office hours are not correctly updated. I reached at 4 PM on Wednesday and the found office is closed. No one attended the call to know the reason.

Dr. Peterson and Ryan are wonderful! They make my daughter feel like a superhero every time we go in. They are very experienced in what they do. They do a good job explaining what's going on, test results, and what to expect in the future. They also do a great job motivating my daughter with her pat h and glasses. The staff there are great to work with as well in scheduling appointments and making payments. Thank you Rocky Mountain eye care!

Rachel Howells

Awesome staff and wonderful doctors.

Shelley Terry

The doctors and staff are very helpful and friendly. My whole family goes here for their eye care and we have always had a good experience. People need to know their insurance policy and not expect the office to know the policy; there is no way they could know everyone's policy as everyone's policy is different. It is the patient's responsibility to know their policy and what is covered and what is not. There is a sign in their waiting room that states they are not providers of vision plans. S Terry

Very rude (Dr. Petersen and assistant) and very expensive. I have to go to a different provider because they were so unhelpful. Save your time and money.

I am legally blind and go here once a year for a yearly eye checkup. I've never had a bad experience. I know I can trust these people to do their jobs correctly.

Brad Armstrong

Bad billing experience. This office does not take any vision insurance. The office didn't disclose this. Said they'd take our insurance, but come to find out it's only medical. I'd recommend going any place besides here.

Kelli Oswald

Highly Recommend this office! I had surgery one year ago and couldn't be happier with the results. I consider it such a blessing to have had Dr. Peterson help me. I feel so much gratitude!

Not happy with this place. Their office is unreasonable and they bill outrageous amounts. Dr. Peterson is a great doctor but he should really move his practice somewhere else.
