Dr. Stan Saulny was the physician who examined my mother today. He and the staff at Westlake Eye Specialists were efficient, friendly, professional and very, very thorough. The camaraderie between the staff and Dr. Saulny is palpable. Dr. Saulny took the time to be sure every question was answered and every concern, addressed. He has the best bedside manner with none of the occasional condescension or med-speak that one sometimes encounters with medical providers. He is sincere, very approachable, and brilliant. He has this wondrous down to earth quality of being able to distill the most complicated of medical terminology into understandable/digestible bite sized pieces. Most importantly, because he takes the time to be thorough, he is truly patient with his patients. I am grateful to Dr. Saulny and his wonderful staff in their superb care of my mother.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff along with my doctor, Dr. Kurt Andreason that clearly explained the processes of the surgery, along with what one's expectation concerning the cataract surgery and lens replacement might be. Because of the success to correct my eyesight issues, I would highly recommend Westlake Eye Specialist along with Dr Andreason.

Feel ripped off. Went to Walmart's optical for eye exam at Southpark Meadows. They referred me to Westlake Eye Specialists because I had droopy eyelids. Being that I'm 50 yrs old figure that is pretty normal but decided I better go and have them looked at in case they needed to be lifted for better eye sight. I checked in and the assitant does some tests on my eyes. Then I waited for Dr to come in to talk to me. He immediately looked at my eyelids and pretty much told me that he couldn't do anything for me. On checkout I was charged $135 even with my health insurance. Just feel if Dr would have looked at my lids first I wouldn't have had to go through the tests and all I would have had to pay is $60 co pay. They charge $22 just for Dr to take pictures of my eyelids, which I found was worthless since he couldn't do anything for me anyways. Feel like it was some scam set up with Walmart Optical and Westlake Eye Specialist to screw people out of their money. Sure Walmart Optical gets a kick back for the referral.

Dr. Natalie Stanciu is an outstanding doctor and I highly recommend her to anyone who needs eye care. She makes you feel very comfortable and and she has an excellent knowledge base. I cannot stress this enough

This practice(kyle) and the one in westlake are great... Yes you usually have to wait but how do you rush perfection. From the receptionist, techs and the doctors are excellent and make sure you are aware of whats going on. I would highly recomend this practice to anyone especially who is a diabetic like I am. I would also highly recomend you get your check ups like you are suppost to... I almost went blind from not getting my vision check ups and had my surgery done on 2/27/2019 by Dr. Vendal who was awesome by the way and I am getting some of my vision back. So despite a few negative reviews on google about having to wait at a dr appointment i have absolutely no complaints and im speaking from experience about my encounters with this great practice.

This has been such a wonderful staff, atmosphere and place overall. Everyone was so friendly with smiling faces. No problems no pain after my procedure. If anyone is needing to have surgery, I highly recommend dr saulny! His knowledge and manner was very professional.

Perfect balance of friendly and professional. I was concerned about a matter of vision, and Dr. Andreason explained my symptoms so that I understood and felt at ease. I was provided with a new prescription for glasses, and told I would be contacted in 10 months to set up my 1 year follow-up appointment. Because I live in the norternmost portion of San Marcos, and this office is in Kyle, it is very convenient.

Thank you, Westlake Eye Specialists, for taking care of my eyes. I have been going to them for as long as they have been around. They are always up-to-date with the latest out there. They are always available even on the weekends whenever I have had any eye issues. Dr. Vendal is super nice and so everyone in the office. My mother in law had a fantastic cataract surgery experience with Dr. Vendal. Highly recommend and really my top choice. my mom during and after cataract surgery. Not only was the staff thorough in explaining all kinds of options, the aftercare was 100% attention to detail. Dr. Vendal went over my mother's lifestyle as well to help her decide which kind of lens to choose from. She was so precise during surgery that my mother did not experience most of the irritability that is customary to post op. Even when it came to insurance, the staff was very tuned in to what benefits were covered. Now my whole family goes to Westlake Eye. Thank you once again!

A very positive experience. From the receptionists to the assistants to the doctor's. They really take the time to listen and explain what is going on and what is going to happen. Even the maintenance staff who are around the facility are polite and helpful. I wasn't able to find close handicap parking. As my parents and I began to walk. One of the staff in a golf cart asked if anything was wrong? I said: No we are walking to the eye doctor's office. He said he could drive us there. That kind gesture added to our positive experience. This eye practice is the best I've been to in my 65 years! The staff is always friendly from the front desk, assistants to the doctors. Natalie Stanchiu is an absolute professional, explains procedures thoroughly and shows compassion at every visit. Just had a brow lift to see better and she did a terrific job! Healing well after two days post-surgery. I highly recommend this office. Dr. Andreason did both cataract surgeries with perfection.

If you are looking for an exceptional eye Doctor that truly cares about the quality of care she provides for her patients, then Dr. Vendal is the one for you !! I woke up with an excruciatingly painful eye infection and contacted her office and they fit me in immediately !! Upon being evaluated by Dr. Zarmeena Vendel, I was impressed by the fact that she took her time with me in the evaluation room. I did not feel like she was rushing me out the door and she made sure I had someone with me to drive me home once I was done. What’s even more amazing, is I received a call from her office the next day to check in with me and make sure I was doing better ! I would recommend Dr. Vendal and this practice to anyone !!
