Dr. Alloju is an absolutely wonderful ophthalmologist. I went to him when I suffered a cornea scratch from my dog which got infected. He first suspected the infection was fungal but decided a wait-and-see approach and it turned out to be bacterial. He is a cornea specialist and is extremely knowledgeable. He's also very professional and overall a very nice individual. I will be making an appointment with him for a vision check-up in the future!

I had Cataract surgery by another provider and had complications that involved my cornea. I was referred to Dr. Alloju as a second choice but I AM SO glad that he became my first choice. I am not even two weeks out of surgery and can see and read time, I can see the entire room vs. some of it being cloudy. We take these kinds of things for granted but grateful to the good lord first and then Dr. Alloju. He is wonderful, personable and good bed side manner. I would refer anyone to him.

There are many ophthalmologists in this area, but after careful review, I chose Dr. Alloju to perform cataract surgery on both of my eyes. One month post-op and my results have been fantastic; better than expected! Dr. Alloju is not only skilled, he has a wonderful manner with patients, caring and explaining things in layman terms. I had steroid induced cataracts from many years of taking Prednisone for R.A. this was diagnosed several years ago in my home town of Port Arthur, Tx. After Hurricane Harvey I moved to the Plano area and of course had to get all new physicians. I did some online research after finding Dr. Alloju's name on my insurance company''s list of in network physicians. This was the SMARTEST thing I have ever done. I started seeing Dr. Alloju last year and he recommended I have cataract surgery then, but at the time I wasn't able to. However, he did the first one on 10/10/2019 and did the other yesterday. I got the plain IOL's that medicare pays for (can't afford the fancy ones). The one he did yesterday is already at 20/20 vision and the one he did on the 10, which was my worst eye is nearly 20/20. He a wonderful doctor and a generally all around nice person. Polite, kind courteous. This also pertains to his office staff. I have no words to express my gratitude to this wonderful physician for giving me the best sight I have had since I was 7 years old. Thank you Dr. Alloju and thanks to the staff too.

For Dr. Shashi Alloju (EyeHealth Texas) it’s all about money (greenback) and not about the patient care and their wellbeing. On January 10, 2019, Dr. Alloju performed my cataract surgery and the Hospital had collected my overall deductible of BCBS Insurance that I had paid the Hospital. When I visited Dr. Alloju a week later on January 17, 2019 on a follow up visit, Dr. Alloju along with his staff (Kathy) wanted me to pay the overall deductible again to his office otherwise Dr. Alloju would not perform the cataract surgery on the other eye scheduled a week later on January 24, 2019. On January 18, 2019 I called BCBS who in turn confirmed that I had paid the overall deductible to the Hospital. Given, that Dr. Alloju along with his staff (Kathy) were completely aware that I had already paid my overall deductible to the Hospital, Dr. Alloju oath to serve is clearly Hippocratic to say the least. Needless to say, I will not perform my other eye cataract surgery with Dr. Alloju or ever return to him as he is there to serve the greenback and not his patients. I will pay Dr. Alloju his greenback, whatever is due to him when I receive my EOB from BCBS. It’s not about the greenback, it’s the principle. Hope Dr. Shashi Alloju learns that and matures up. The unprofessional attitude of Dr. Alloju and his staff is was completely unwarranted and unbecoming as a physician. If you want quality healthcare from a Doctor who genuinely cares about you rather than the greenback, then seek another Doctor than Dr. Shashi Alloju (EyeHealth Texas). However, if you want a Doctor to leave you high and dry or hanging between surgeries, then Dr. Shashi Alloju is your choice. Good luck. In Response to your comment: Why would I agree to pay my overall deductible again when I had already paid the Hospital? Did not BCBS call your office on Friday January 18, 2019 to inform you that I had paid the Hospital and give you a reference number? There was no issue with the Surgery Center - so please do not change the goal post and create alternate facts. Please acknowledge the facts. Thanks and all the best.

This doctor rips patients off. They try to overcharge for their services for a simple eye test which costs $50, then they try to charge you an extra $120 visit for a simple prescription exam that you can get at any eyeglass shop or opthamalogists office. Then they hang up on you when you tell them this!!

Dr. Alloju is a very intelligent, knowledgeable and friendly Doctor, I had spontaneous blurred vision, he ran a series of tests and came up with the diagnosis pretty quickly.....super helpful and courteous staff, they gave me the appointment the same day, in fact they asked me to walk in just after i called them....Very reasonable charges too, Highly recommended for any eye care needs.
