My fiancé scratched his cornea last night. We tried to go to urgent care but couldn’t find one that was open and could see us. After a very painful and long night, he woke up even worse than he was yesterday. I called a few of the optometrists and ophthalmologist offices but even though it was a mild emergency, they could not see us in a timely manner. It was a very stressful situation. Finally I saw Pasadena Eye Associates online and gave them a call. They were immediately very professional and calming. The receptionist had so much empathy and understanding, they told us to come right in. We were seen immediately and Dr. Acosta was awesome. He listened to my fiancé’s account of what happened, advised him for future occurrences and was able to diagnose and treat him very quickly and in a way that eased our fears but explained the severity of the issue to us. My fiancé is self employed and does not have vision insurance, Dr. Acosta made sure to assist us in a way that allowed us to get the best care without the stress of not having insurance. He took the time to listen and understand our situation. It was an amazing experience at a very scary time for us. Our anxiety was eased and we were treated like professionals and not just another case to be seen. I will definitely use PEA and Dr. Acosta for all my optometrist and eye care needs! I highly recommend Pasadena Eye Associates, Dr. Acosta, and the entire team. Thank you!

I love the high standard of attention given to the patient. all staff is very knowledgeable and are very assertive at addressing any concerns you may have. there was NOT a moment in the process were I felt unsure of what was going on and to me that is Golden. Very happy with the results.

Everyone from the Staff to Dr. Segal have been wonderful. Always pleasant and helpful taking care of any questions I may have. they helped me understand clear choices when I needed catarac surgery and eased my nerves about everything involved. I have recommended him to some friends because he is a compassionate doctor who feels the need of his patients. Doesn,t make me feel like cattle in a line, or just a number. An actual person. that is rare nowdays.

Had an eye exam for contacts for my daughter. Only wanted a prescription since I was to order contacts online. Kept getting calls that our contacts were ready to be picked up. Made several calls to let them know I only wanted the prescription. Now im getting emails stating if I dont pick up the contacts I will be charged a restocking fee!!! I never asked them to order the contacts. I will never go to this office again and will not recommend it to anyone.

I am writing a review on the new doctor here, Dr. Acosta. I was a little leery seeing a doctor of whom I knew nothing, but Dr. Hakimi was not in on the day we could come, so I took my 19 yo daughter to see Dr. Acosta for an annual exam for glasses and contacts. We really appreciated his friendliness and frankness. He was super personable and very easy to talk to. We are a family of 5, and we will be making this man our permanent eye doctor in the future. As a matter of fact, I made three more appointments to see him, for myself and two other family members, as I checked out. 12-19-18 I'm adding to this review to say that I took my 17 yo son to see Dr. Acosta yesterday, and it was another great experience. He made my son feel very comfortable and at ease. I appreciate having a nice experience at a Doctor's office.

I been calling all day to see if i can make an appointment but the answering machine keeps saying you guys are closed for lunch. I've been calling since 11. Its 2 now still no answer. It says open till 8 to 5. I really need to schedule an appointmentt and i have a few questions. Its getting ridiculous like how long is lunch?? Despite the issue above as i stated. Eventually i made an appoinment and was seen and by far i am very happy with my first visit. The staff was very polite and respectful. They took thier time to talk to me and answer all my questions. Looking forward to going back for my prescription glasses. By far satisfied with my experience. Thank you to the staff.

Dr Segal is AMAZING! I have known him and been with Pasadena Eye Associates since 1998, and my whole family and it's growing members come here. The care is compassionate, everyone takes a real interest in you as a patient instead of just going with the motions. Dr. Segal did my Lasik surgery back in 2009, and it is by far the best investment in my health I have made! My vision is still better than 20/20 in 2016, and I have never had any dryness or halos at night, or any other problems with my vision since my surgery 7 years ago! I would highly recommend this practice and Dr. Segal for your vision health! :).

The wait was long, but the eye tech and the drs are Great, the guy helping u with your order is very good he explains everything to you and helps u with the best price of frames, now the receptionist taking your payment got on my nerves, there's a signs that says deposit required, she never even discussed that option, wanted the full amount, until I questioned her about it, she got kinda of snotty about it, and had an attitude, I payed the deposit instead of the full amount, then she never spoke to me in English and the whole time I was talking to her in English, when she told me how much the deposit was she told me in Spanish and I was can u talk to me in English???

Dr. Segal and his staff were professional from the start. I was able to quickly and easily make a consultation appointment. Everyone was so welcoming and patient answering questions, explaining the LASIK procedure, and making sure I was informed to make a sound decision. I had concerns because of my age (37 with a family history of dry eye) but Dr. Segal assured me after looking at my initial exam results I would still be an excellent candidate for LASIK. During the procedure itself, I felt very comfortable and very relaxed. Everything was explained to me before it happened so I knew what to expect. I felt confident because I knew I was in good hands the entire time. Followup care has been phenomenal. If I have had concerns during the healing process, I can easily get a hold of the doctor or staff and make an appointment to get in. I am going to be one of the MANY people who say the same thing about LASIK: I wish I had not waited so long.

The doctor has be excellent in providing care for me before and after surgery. He made himself available 24/7 if i had any questions or concerns. During surgery i was able to relax and not have any anxiety because he was talking me through everything.
