REVIEWS OF Eye Consultants of Texas IN Texas

Ron Barnard

Jennifer Gordy and Ashlynn both went beyond their duties to answer all of my questions; Jennifer spent some time to listen to me explain my needs and directed me to Ashlynn, who also answered many of my questions endgame me an earlier appointment time. They deserve a raise or at least put them in a higher tax bracket lol

Charles Gotthardt

I have been seeing doctors at this site for several years now and I have always been treated well and politely. Instructions have always been clear and helpful.

Onye Ukoha

Dr. Labor and staff are exceptional without exception.

Tom Vertich

These people are very rude. Before they decide they want to see you they ask a bunch of intrusive questions (beyond the typical ones most doctors do) to determine if they even want your business. I called with an acute issue, and they offered to see me 5 weeks out.

George Gekakis

I will start by saying, I traveled all the way from Las Vegas, Nevada to have a consultation with Dr. Labor. He obviously came highly recommended. Unfortunately I did not use Dr. Labor for my ocular implants. I am confident if I did, I would not have the problems I am currently having. Dr. Labor examined me, and told me not only the truth, but how to deal with the implants that had been implanted by another physician. He is assisting me with the dry eye syndrome I am currently experiencing due to previous surgeons error in judgment. His staff was amazing and he personally took the time to explain every detail to me. I highly recommend Dr. Labor as one of the best, and most honest ophthalmologists I have ever encountered.

Glenda Woodliff

Dr. Parmer fantastic with dry eye syndrome. Office staff friendly and caring. Usually have some waiting time in the reception room but so worth the wait.

Whitney Reynolds

I have been here 2 different times. Once for lasik in 2013 and again to enhance that lasik in 2016. In 2013, the customer service in the office was very poor. The shortest appointment I had lasted 3 hours. Very poorly organized. When I went back in 2016 because I was back in glasses, I experienced the same organization issues, but a new problem occurred. The billing department is even more disorganized. My billing statement included extra charges and and after about 10 days of attempting to talk to someone about it, not a single person has even been able to pull up my account. I highly encourage anyone considering lasik to go elsewhere. This was one of the worse doctor's office I have ever dealt with.

DAVID NALL

Vernon Ball

They are efficient and helpful. They answered all my questions and did not have a long wait.

Todd Buchardt

I have gone to this facility for a few years. I have diabetes and go in for an annual review. Unfortunately, every year the same thing happens. I show up a few minutes early for my appointment to fill out the paperwork that hasn’t changed from the prior year. Then I sit for a long time waiting to get called in. Two years ago it was a half hour. Last year 40 minutes. Today it was 45 minutes and I still wasn’t called in for service. I canceled my appointment. No explanations, no apologies. I will no be going back. It is so hard to believe that the business is so good that this office can ignore patients like this. If you have a choice, and you do, go somewhere else. Todd Buchardt

The Doctors and staff are very friendly and informative. I Would give a higher rating but the wait time and time spent there is unacceptable. I think they have too many appointments at the same time. Last week I had a 9:30 appt. I did not get out of there until almost 1:00. The only way to avoid that is getting an 8:00 appointment (first of the day) or 1:00 (first appt after lunch. But they over book those also.

Getting my vision restored with Dr. Labor's experienced hands. The staff is great, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend to anyone needing to improve their vision.

Kathryn Dault

Very comfortable and efficient office layout. Dr. Labor and his staff were pleasant, helpful, responsive to my questions and took time to explain everything. Very happy with my results. All physicians' offices should be this excellent.

Carol Fountain

Dr. Labor performed cataract surgery on both my eyes in 2015. I was experiencing back problems and the staff was very accommodating making sure I was comfortable. I returned in 2017 to have scar removable performed and enjoyed the same great treatment. Sometimes there is a wait, but a good Dr is worth waiting for. Dr Labor is always advancing in the field of opthamology and brings the latest and best treatment for each individual patient. No cookie cutter treatment.

Olga Luna

I was thoroughly impressed with the efficiency and personal care of this office. They were very timely in seeing us. The staff was very friendly. My daughter had a very serious eye issue and as such Dr Patel gave his cellphone number to be reached while he was out of town. This was above and beyond the call of duty.

Lara Kinser

The front part of staff seems like they don't know what's going on. You can expect to be there 2-3 hours. Don't recommend this practice

Christina Buell

Jerry Causer

Dr. Labor and his staff were ultimate professionals from evaluation to surgery to follow-up.

My wife had LASIK performed at Eye Consultants of Texas. Her vision results were excellent, Dr. Labor is a wonderful surgeon. And the staff was extremely caring throughout!

Carter Malouf

What a superb operation. If you need cataract surgery or in my case crystal lens, You want to choose a place it’s got great service and a doctor with great bedside manner. With this place you will get both. Had a great experience and nothing but praise for the facility and Dr. Kirk Labor

I really want to think this is an excellent office but I have had so many negative interactions that I will not go back. There are a few girls in the office (Lauren, Loriann) that are excellent but the back office and clinic personnel are making the practice look horrible. They do not return phone calls, they bill your insurance for .01 cent and they surely do not know how to fill out any insurance forms. My insurance company even tried calling them to explain what they are doing incorrectly with filling out their forms but no one answered or returned calls. Now they want me to pay a large balance....I don't think so!!!! Dr. Labor you need to review your staff.

I have been wearing glasses and contacts since third grade and the molds have changed everything! They help me see and I can do the things I love without worrying about if I have contacts in. The staff is very nice and will help you have the best experience!!

Office is poorly run..they consistently run1 to 2 hours late.

Dr. labor is amazing surgeon but the staff a patient must deal with after surgery makes it not worth putting up with. You must pay up front for crystalens and after you pay you are not treated well by office staff. Calling them about anything will get you nowhere. Condescending attitudes. I prepaid and had my procedures in June 2016 and July 2016. In December I suddenly receive a bill for $8,000. No explanation and shows 120 days past due. All insurance has been paid. I have been trying to call them to discuss for over a month now. No one will return call or discuss. To top it all off my EOB statements indicate they owe me money. So I'm not sure a great surgeon is worth all the headaches from staff. It's a shame.

John Acker

The staff went above and beyond to help my brother-in-law who was having horrible problems with the HMO he was using trying to get his PCP and network changed. Michele especially hung in there with us and helped us through this rough patch and got things straightened out for him. In fact, every person on the staff we have dealt with has been outstanding and efficient. I give them the highest marks for their caring and support.

Valerie Armstrong

Customer Service is excellent! Believe me they have bent over backwards to serve us. I had great service from Will, the nurse in the operating area who kept me laughing all morning. The following week I went to pick up some eye So and David told me he would wait till after 5 to meet me. I did not get there until 5:30 when the lights were out but he met me, called Ashylynn who was already driving home, and she turned around to come back to take the payment. In addition Dr. Labor was the consummate professional and the anesthesiologist (whose name I cannot remember because - well yes - he did his job (!) was very compassionate. So yes, I read the earlier reviews, and it looks like they are striving to be the best!

William Douville

Dr Labor performed Cataract surgery on both eyes. I chose the Crystalens/Trulign. I am a pilot so having great vision is imperative! My vision is almost perfect, no more glasses! The outpatient surgical care as well as follow up visits were truly phenomenal! Dr Labor called after each procedure to check how I was doing! I highly recommend Dr Labor and Eye Consultants of Texas!

John McDaniel

Had my eyes examined due to a very brief episode of double vision. The talented assistant performed several tests & procedures including the evaluation (which is better, 1 or 2?) to determine glasses prescription. I do need a new pair of glasses. Dr Patel examined my inner eye. I received a thorough follow-up exam to confirm the initial findings & Dr Labor explained the results & his judgement of what to expect. I'd highly recommend Dr Labor & his team, especially Jennifer!!! She is a treasure as a customer liaison.

Pat Wilson

Just wonder if this excellent surgeon knows that his front desk ladies can "make or break" his business. I was very pleased with the cataract surgeries on both eyes last year,,,very efficient and organized surgical team and surgery went so smooth... but I went back 3 weeks ago for floaters and flashes in one eye and was so humiliated by Robin at the front desk....thankfully Christina saved me... the technician doing the exam wasn't exactly courteous but I needed my eye checked while I had a day off work...called back today about my appt. for next week and asked to speak to Christina,,,was told by Maggie that I didn't need to talk to Christina, she was new and had only been there a week,,,,I told her Christina was there 3 weeks ago when I came in ...I don't like being lied to and I don't like being humiliated....very disillusioned...canceled my appt for next week and do not want to go back...will need to get a new eye doctor unfortunately

Ken Mahlke

This office is consistently the WORST in follow-up, ease of getting prescriptions refilled, timeliness of appointments (I have waited an HOUR after my scheduled time) and courtesy of staff - they behave as if your call - questions are bothersome - they place you on hold for-ever, transfer you, cut you off so you get to call back and go thru it all over again. They say someone will call you back - but they never do. I am definitely looking for another doctor.

kirit dodia

Very professional environment, staff and doctor were very courteous. Appointment time was very convenient.

Cathrine Beney

Went in for my appointment at 1:45pm still havent seen Dr Labor at 5pm. This place is a disgrace

We are looking for someone to do Lipiflow procedure on my husband. But after reading all the negative reviews, I'm very skeptical. Can someone reassure me that these issues have been resolved and we won't wait forever to see the doctor, be treated badly by the staff, will experience better customer service and have a pleasant experience?

vikas amin

very poor in communication. Office does not return phone calls. It took me to drive to the office to speak with someone for the schedule and leave a message. Still, no return phone call. Also, leaving messages in their mailbox is useless. Office does not monotor the after hours or during hours messages and when mentioned during the next visit, they simpaly pass the buck around. I would not recommand thisnoffice as they do not care about their patients.

Randy Leon

Total lack of communication, organization and professionalism. I had a consult for cross-linking and was considered a candidate for the procedure. Following the consult, repeated calls to the facility only to leave a message with no call back. When I was able to speak to someone they had zero answers on scheduling, insurance coverage or all around knowledge of what was going on. After almost two months of chasing my tail the procedure was scheduled "On Thursday after 1 pm, not sure on an exact time." After making all plans, taking off work, reserving a hotel, all other items required for going out of town, I was called the day before to be told they would have to reschedule because they did not have the solution used in the procedure because of pricing issues with the vendor. This had been an issue for almost 3 weeks prior to my surgery and I was not told until the day before. If you are looking for someone to work on your eyes, look elsewhere. Do not trust a practice that has this ill regard for their patients. A practice is as good is as good as its staff and this one falls well short of anything good.

Dr. Labor and his staff were wonderful. He explained the entire LASIK procedure to me before the surgery so I knew exactly what was happening. The surgery and recovery went great. I had no post op problems. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to have my vision corrected. I highly recommend them.

Ronnie Kennedy

I had cataract surgery and Dr. Labor and his staff are wonderful. From the very first visit to after the procedure, I was treated with respect, professionalism, and kindness. The procedure was painless, I received clear and precise care instructions, and I got a follow up call from the doctor to ensure I was okay. You cannot ask for or expect more than that. If you have vision needs, I highly recommend this doctor and his staff. Thank you Eye Consultants of Texas.
