First of all, I LOVE Dr. Wade & nurses & doctors at the surgery center, but here at the Eye Center, it is a mixed bag. The front desk people are somewhat cold & indifferent & sometimes incompetent. Technicians...same thing, there are two or three that are standouts, the rest are not good. I do agree that you are shuffled around like cattle. I've been in the room where the Dr was supposed to be with me shortly for 45 minutes!

I had Lasik surgery here about 8 weeks ago. The procedure went well. I see perfectly and have not had any issues. The staff were friendly and everything was completed with good timing. I'm very happy my optometrist recommended them. Dr Wade and his staff were very precise, checking and re-checking details.

I saw Dr. Darcy S. and she was patient and thorough with all of my questions and concerns. Good honest answers and took enough time to make sure I understood. All of the tech's in the office were nice and professional. On time and well organized.

I had the best experience at the Eye Center of Texas in Bellaire when receiving my LASIK eye surgery in late January 2014. I read many reviews that the patient questions were not answered, the staff were not very “warm and welcoming” and felt like they were rushed in/out like cattle. Though the process seemed to go by very quickly, I did not feel any of the things previous patients experienced. I thought all the doctors and staff was very kind and answered any questions or concerns I had. I would recommend the Eye Center of Texas in Bellaire to anyone I know who was planning to have the LASIK procedure done. AND I still love that I do not have to deal with contacts or glasses anymore! YAH!

i would give five stars , but I detected a little BO coming from the second lady that helping get all my other tests done, and it felt like an assembly line. other than those two things ...I am amazed at the technology . Dr Wade very professional very cordial , used a new laser on me, same laser for the PI for narrow angles but just newer. it was a bizarre feeling afterwards but I am grateful that the left eye was treated. now just waiting for the right eye. I would definitely recommend, if anything these folks know what they are doing as far as treatments. Make sure you know all the deductibles you owe cause I felt there was confusion in that arena. One nurse struck me as very quick and smart, so she resolved it all. very nice office and my wait time was not that long just felt like going through an assembly. definitely will return for any issue that may occur in my eyes again of course if my optometrist refers me though

The waiting time is like no other. Appt @ 2:30 we arrived @2pm as to not be late. We were seen @ 5pm. They do "test" and shuffle you around from one waiting area to another, probably to distract you from noticing that you have spent your whole day here. This appt is for my mother if it was my appt I would have walked out and found some other place. If you come here bring a lunch and make arrangements for child care. Jesus help the scheduling dept

I recently went to Eye Center Of Texas for a treatment regarding floaters in one of my eyes. Dr. Paul Stewart M.D. utilizes a new technology involving a nonevasive treatment that has greatly reduced my floaters. I was really impressed with the caring approach of Dr. Stewart as well as his supporting staff. I would strongly recommend you look into considering the Eye Center Of Texas if you want highly skilled eye health care professionals working on your eyes.

They were quick to get me checked in when I arrived and they were so nice and professional. I'm so happy with Dr. Suarez and her team. I didn't have to wait long for my follow-up exam today. TL;DR version: FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL. My husband had LASIK done on both of his eyes here and the next day he could see without his glasses for the first time in a decade. Long version: Truly exceptional treatment -- my husband and I are so grateful that we were able to come here for his LASIK treatment. From the initial consultation to the follow-up meetings, we received nothing but the best care. My husband had LASIK done on both his eyes here (he had astigmatism in both). He said it felt a little weird, but that it didn't hurt, and could see "clear as day" the morning after the procedure. He drove himself to his 1 day follow-up! He does have a little bit of dry eye, but it's getting better every day and dry eyes are VERY standard after LASIK. Dr. Mayo performed his surgery and did an amazing job. We also met with several doctors and they were all personable and professional and took the time to answer our questions. The assistants at the front desk were super accommodating and thorough... such a nice change of pace!! We were talking about my husband's surgery with a friend of ours and she said, "Oh yeah, that's where Mom got her cataracts taken care of. She LOVED them..." so obviously we're not only the ones who had a good experience. Thanks for everything, Eye Center of Texas!!!!!!
