Amazing doctor and one of the nicest people you will ever come across. Truly kind individual who goes above and beyond. He really is one of the best ophthalmology doctors you will find anywhere. I deal with a lot of doctors on a daily basis for my work that I could choose to go to and I choose to go to Dr. Koch. He is the best of the best.

I debated for a long time whether to write this review, but in the end people who are thinking of eye surgery such as Lasik need to know some facts that I was never told and did not find out about the practices at Baylor Eye Client until it was too late for me. First, I was a patient in 2001-2003 and remember Dr Koch to be personable with very good bedside manners. My nearsightedness was near 12 diopter and after surgery for about 10 years my vision was near perfect. However, afterwards my vision started to worsen and I now have reverted back to the point where I now have to wear glasses not only to see, but to drive. And here is where things really got bad for me because I now have cataract in one eye bad enough that glasses cannot correct it and I can no longer see clearly with that eye and found out that people who had Lasik not only have an increase risk of developing cataract, but the surgery for cataract for those who have had Lasik runs a higher risk of complications. But it does not end there. One of the things that a surgeon doing cataract surgery wants is the patient record of what was done during the Lasik procedure. This means patient records and I found out that it is the policy of this office to delete patient records more than 10 years old. One would think that knowing all the patients who had been treated with Lasik could one day need cataract surgery, this office would at the VERY LEAST contact those patients and offer to provide a copy of their record before destroying them. Even if they charged a fee for such things, who in their right mind would not want their records? What I cannot understand is that during the initial exam, I remember Dr. Koch informed me that I had early signs of cataract in one eye and that eye would eventually need surgery to for it. And still they destroyed my record leaving me in a situation where I now face an uncertain future for cataract surgery with an increased risk of complications with no means to provide a surgeon with the information on what was done during my Lasik surgery.

Dr. Koch, a well respected physician, has been our family ophthalmologist for 27 years. In my view, he is the best ophthalmologist in the world. His curing technique is un match-able and the most important is his KIND heart. He spends time with patients, diagnose before prescribe. A very well rounded and kind physician, Dr. Koch is an absolute GEM in the midst of greedy medical world, a Harvard graduate, a very rare doctor to find nowadays with such quality. Efficient, fix the issue right to the root cause, I'm so proud to have known him. FULLY RECOMMEND WITH NO RESERVATION!

. I was a challenging patient because a RK procedure I had in 1982 made my vision very difficult to correct. My research on a top ophthalmologist brought me to Dr. Koch. He performed cateract surgery in 2019 that gave me excellent vision. He is a knowledgeable, amazing caring doctor.
